Once again, didn't want to get too far along in case anyone wanted to do something...
-
Lucy and Harry settled into the small seating section underneath the main viewing section where the spectators were from which they would watch the fights. High above the floor of the old factory, Crimson Tiger noted that the follow of spectators began to slow and then halt all together. Up in the raise sections where the spectators were, Crimson Tiger saw the bookies taking the last bets for the first round and then things began to quite down slightly as the first two fighters took to the makeshift ring set up down on the old factory floor. Both men were mixed-martial arts fighters, and as Crimson watched them, she noted they were not bad, but she could easily take either one, not to mention both together. There was a referee out in the ring, but it quickly became apparent that the ref was likely only there to declare when the fight was over, as the two fighters began circling one another, sizing each other up before one moved in to launch his first attack…

Okay, once again, a chance for a bit of interaction (though in smaller groups this time). Though, I am happy to move us forward if people prefer.

GM Once everyone had finished with the somewhat hasty meal, it was then time to finish up the set up of the base came and get things organized for the real work to begin. Giang and Blue Jay were assigned to assist Dr. Conte, Dr. Rangan and the two nurses in unpacking the various medical supplies for the medical suite that had been set up. Nurse Cofield showed the two teenage girls the color and number coding system that was used to indicate where the various supplies were to be placed within the suite. The two then began assisting with the somewhat tedious, but important, task of helping unpack and organize all the medical supplies. Arcturus and Edge went to help Denise, Lais and Colette, along with Kvesic and his security team, with unpacking and organizing the supplies for the command center as well organizing the staging areas for the food and water supplies to be distributed to those affected by the disaster once they began to arrive in just over an hour. Among the various supplies for the command center were a number of hand held radios and GPS units, surveying equipment and a variety of construction tools. Preparing the staging area involved setting up large canvas tents in which to store the various supplies, which were arranged in a sort of half circle near the command center with the open space in the middle large enough to park both of the cargo configured HMMVEEs that Danger International had deployed with the team. John and Jubatus joined Steven and Lt. Lidimo in unpacking and organizing the rather straight forward supplies for the living area of the base camp. This mostly consisted of the food and water supplies for the team as well as other supplies for the kitchen. Of course, thanks to Jubatus’ considerable speed, these tasks only took a small portion of the time they might otherwise have.

The look on Kyle's face told Megan the uniform had had the desired effect. Ever since Kyle had admitted to wondering if she still had the old uniform, Megan had figured that if their relationship continued as it had been, at some point she would have to dig it out. The blonde almost had a skip to her step as she moved across the living room to take her seat next to Kyle once more. A part of her mind was telling her that she should still be taking things slow and trying to sort out all the feelings that had come up with Siphon and seeing Robert again, not to mention the revelation that she at least had the potential to bear a child with powers that could threaten to destroy reality. But right now, the young woman was ignoring those thoughts. Megan smiled at Kyle's comment as he moved closer to her on the couch. "Hmm, that's probably because you usually only saw them across the field on the one day a year you played against North Bay." She offered. "You know, the days your team would totally crush us." The blonde young woman leaned in against Kyle, her face stopping just in front of his as her blue eyes looked into his own. "But don't worry, I won't hold that against you." She added in a breathy voice.

Okay, need notice checks for Hound and Mess. If either of them want to take their time scanning sections of the crowd (ie take 20), let me know. Also one for Myr (this one is not one where he can take his time).

Giang and John's path led them to an intersection from which the sound of heavy drum beats that had been echoing throughout the neighborhood originated. A large crowd of people had gathered around the intersection of the street the teens were on and another, the center of the intersection clear for a group of Lion Dance performers. There were eight "lions" of various colors in all, moving about the intersection of the two streets to the beating drums, cymbals and gongs. The dance movements of the lions was quite active, including jumps and leaps coordinated between the two individuals that made up the same lion. As John watched the performance, he realized that many of the movements used were also found in various Chinese martial arts, he had certainly seen Giang use some of the movements and stances before. The music for the Lion Dance was being performed live as well, by a group of nine men playing various drums, cymbals and gongs. Each of the musicians were dressed in what looked like yellow martial arts gi, with red trim and had a large, stylized mask that covered their entire heads. ***** Harry and Freddy reached the intersection with 83rd Avenue to find the large crowd gathered around to watch the Lion Dance performance. The air was filled with the sound of the drums, cymbals and gongs that were being played for the dance. Trying to find the girl and her companion was going to be something of a challenge in this crowd.

Velocity smiled slightly as Dr. Sato offered some suggestions on how to avoid stirring up the various inhabitants of Kaiju. "Well, avoiding sudden movements is a bit impossible for me, but I can at least do my best to stay at sub-sonic speeds. And I will be coming in right at ground level." She offered. When Captain Tremont spoke up with the additional bad news, the speedster frowned slightly. "So much for a nice run in the tropical sun." "Do we have an approximate location where the team was when communication was lost?" She then asked. "I should probably start my search pattern there, and just fan outward on the island."

You easily catch him (only speed 2), but his luck holds out. A 26 on his toughness save.

The moment the door to the lab began the slide open, Velocity was in motion, slipping into the lab when the door was just wide enough to accommodate her slim build. Once inside the lab, she moved off to one side from the door quickly and quickly noted that the stopwatch was not immediately visible, nor was Robert. Oh no, this is not good. The speedster thought to herself as she began to rapidly scan more of the room for some sign of what might have happened. It was then that she spotted Robert, a blur of motion himself that was almost too quick for even her to spot. Moving over near him, she faced him her hands out to either side in a non-threatening manner. "Lord Harrow. I am Velocity from the Freedom League. I have reason to believe that stopwatch is a threat. Could you please put it down so we can discuss this?"
-
A small frown came to Velocity's face. "Well, not physically hurting anyone aside, a crime is still a crime." Her face then softened slightly. "But it doesn't hurt, especially if you are trying to change as you say." The speedster's mind began to race as she considered her options. Now that Merge mentioned it, she did not recall any stories that mentioned anyone being physically hurt by her past crimes. While it certainly did not excuse her past crimes, it certainly helped with being willing to take her word that she was trying to change and believe her when she explained why she wanted to do something about this. Merge certainly wasn't the first former supercriminal to have a change of heart, and hopefully would not be the last. Others that had done far worse had been given second chances, though even they often faced some repercussions for their past deeds as well. Merge wanted to help stop Madame Marvelous, and Velocity was certainly not going to begrudge her that. If she took Merge to the police it would likely be something of a hassle in trying to get her released to her custody to help out, and the speedster tended to not have the patience for dealing with such red tape. While it was a risk to allow Merge to remain free and go to deal with this incident, it was a risk Velocity was willing to accept, given Merge's past history. All of this consideration took a mere fraction of a second of course. "Okay Merge," the speedster began, "I have no real reason not to believe you about this. So you have asked Asad for help, well, now you have me as well. So, what is the plan?"

Burning the Midnight Financial Reports from the the SEHK
Thevshi replied to TheAbsurdist's topic in Wading Way
"So are you suggesting that all the other heroes out there that do keep their identities secret, whether or not those they care about are in the know, are all morally and ethically bankrupt or at least compromised?" Megan asked. "Even if they do not have the means for providing the same sort of ‘shield’ from reprisals that you could bring to bear?" "After all, there is a reason the law allows a hero's identity act as a separate legal entity and not require their true identity be reveled if they testify in court or a sued in civil court." -
Happy Birthday Russo!!

Well, I indicated in my post that after her bluff, Megan was turning down the sidewalk and running towards the next entrance to a building to find a place to change. With him hesitating, it will make it easier for her to do so at a normal person's pace

For Megan, the tender kiss from Kyle seemed to stretch on for considerably longer than it actually lasted, the young blonde reaching up to put one hand gently on Kyle's shoulder. When he sat back up, she gave a wide smile. "You're not that bad." She replied, a playful teasing in her voice. "But really dancing with someone that is talented can be fun, but I certainly believe that who you are dancing with can make just as much difference as to how enjoyable it is." Megan’s smile remained in place as she looked about the room as Kyle commented on it and laughing at his comment about her office space. "Thank you. My mom and I probably went a little bit overboard on some of the décor. But then, other than my dorm rooms at Yale, this is my first apartment. And as for my office space, well, you should see my office at Summit. But luckily a lot of what I do involves spreadsheets and other computer documents, so kind of easy to keep things neat. Besides, if I spent as much time at my desk here as you do at yours, it might look more like yours." Pausing a moment, she stretched up and gave him another brief kiss. "I'll be right back." She stated as she pulled back slightly, her face hovering near his. She then got up and made her way back towards the entryway and the small hallway that led off to the side of the foyer. A few minutes later, as Kyle was taking some sips of his coffee and regarding the apartment’s view of the Wading Way skyline, he heard Megan’s voice behind him. "Hey football star!" Turning around, Kyle saw Megan standing just at the entrance to the foyer from the living room wearing the familiar red and black North Bay Academy cheerleading uniform. The blonde young woman had stuck a cheerleading pose, with one knee lifted up even with her hip and one arm off at an angle above her head, her other arm bent out to the side with her hand on her hip. She smiled widely. "Told you it still fit."

Giang took the offered back pack with a small nod. "Thank you." She then smiled as Kat mentioned possibly using the incident as a means of getting an extension on the due date for their report. "I suppose we could try, but the Headmaster may respond that maintaining the current due date provides a lesson on learning how to balance and fulfill ones other responsibilities with those of being a hero." The two teenagers stared off across the campus towards the temporary officer for Headmaster Summers while the administrative building was repaired following the events of the Day of Wrath.

Giang gave Kristin a small smile as the other girl mentioned getting her license and a used car recently. "It had never really been much of a concern to me." She replied on the subject of cars or motorcycles for transportation. "Where I grew up, I never really had much need of means to travel very far. Although Freedom City does seem to have a very good system of public transportation, it can just be a bit time consuming." The Asian teen then considered Kristin’s comments about possible hobbies. "Painting could be a possibility as well." She stated with a small nod. "I will have to think about that." "And what about you Kristin? What things do you like to do?"

Okay, depending on what you two want to do, we may be out of combat now, or maybe not. If either of you want to use a free action out of turn to talk (briefly), go right ahead.

After dodging the foam from the fire extinguisher, the last remaining cat-man once again slashes at Jubatus with his claws. He came a bit closer this time, but the cheetah-like superhero was able to dodge them once more. Growling with frustration, the cat-man glanced around the now mostly quiet scene and realized he was the only one of the originally three groups in the fight still facing the two superheroes. So, he did what one might expect, he turned away and ran from the courtyard, heading down an alleyway and then turning left onto a street and disappearing from sight. Of course, as fast as he might have been, to Jubatus, the cat-man was no faster than a car, or in other words rather slow. Neospell once again saw the trail of magic that the cat-man left behind. The white clad hero also noticed how the magic surrounding the cat-man he had just rendered unconscious began to fade and then disappeared altogether. The figure was now just a young man in his late teens who appeared to be of Jamaican descent. The one conscious gang member was still struggling against the duct tape binding him, but with little avail.

Okay, Red Lion 1 attack Jube again, but, misses with a 17.

Giang also selected one of the vegetarian meals from the case of MREs that Edge opened up, thanking the UNISON super-agent before taking a seat nearby with the rest of the group of Claremont students. Growing up, the Asian teen had typically eaten rather simple meals of rice and vegetables, so she tended to be rather open to trying new foods. And after all, she had lived on the streets in Singapore for about three weeks not long ago, so had learned to be satisfied with just about anything she could get to eat. When Edge asked the group why they had volunteered, Giang listened as several of the others answered the question first. After Jubatus had spoken, she realized it was likely her turn to speak. "When I heard this involved a flood, I thought my abilities would be useful in helping to deal with the aftermath of such a disaster. Both in terms of helping move the flood waters and trying to control the river until any barriers to keep out the waters could be built or repaired." She stated. "As far as whether I would wish to do international work once I finish at Claremont, I have not yet given that much thought until now. But it may be a possibility."

Velocity relaxed her stance just a bit as Merge began to behave herself a bit more and started to explain about Madame Marvelous' little "audition" video. The speedster watched as Merge played it on her cell phone, wanting to hear the audio this time. When it was done she looked back at Merge. "Yeah, that certainly looks like it could be a trap." She replied. "So, what’s your plan? Go in there and let it be sprung?" She paused a brief moment and then continued. "Are you really planning to try to do something about this out of some concern for those people in that video? Or is there some connection between you and her?"

Okay, CC, Red Lion 2 only gets a 14, so he is now unconcious. Go ahead with your IC post.
