"Thank you officer." Tsunami replied to the policeman she and Warp had given their statements to, give a small bow with both hands together in front of her. When Warp opened one of her portals, the Asian teen took one last look around at the scene around them and then stepped through the portal. Moving out of the way for Warp to follow, Giang glanced around the Claremont campus for a moment and then looked over to her companion. "Should we go report this incident to the Headmaster?" She asked, uncertain what was required when something like this happened to students at the school.

After dodging Jubatus' attack, the last standing cat-man snarls at the humanoid cheetah hero and retaliates with a claw slash of his own. However, he was even further off target, as Jubatus easily sidesteps that attack. At the end of the car that Neospell was now standing at the front of, the last standing gang member continued to struggle against the duct tape binding him. Once again, the binding held tight, keeping the gang member partially entangled. At Neospells' feet, the cat-man he had just attacked with his magical blade pushed himself upright slightly, but was clearly hurting and trying to regain his senses.

Red Lion 1 attacks Jube, missing with a 12. Gang Member 5 continues to struggle against his bindings, the snare gets a 23 on its toughness save and resists his attempts.

CC, I am not sure you can surge and get to charge, but, seeing as you did not yet use your move action, I will just go with that. Though, you might want to be sure next time that you have an unobstructed path to the target (and you do here). Also, your fatigue is there until you spend a hero point to remove it, which could be now, or much later. Anyway, he only gets a 14. So Red Lion 2 is Staggared and dazed, and you knock him into Gang Member 2, causing both to have to make toughness saves. Red Lion 2 gets a 16 on the second, giving him a bruise as well. Gang Member 2 goes unconcious. Both are lying in a heap now. Go ahead with your IC post. (and don't forget your first attack that Gang Member 2 pretty much sucked up)

Velocity had given the carrier’s captain a nod when he had indicated that it was time for the briefing to begin. Looking back to the various crew members she had been talking with, she gave them an apologetic smile. "Well, I am afraid I need to be going." And with that the yellow clad speedster was off to find the briefing room in question. Though among the first to arrive, Velocity opted to stand along the edge of the room, leaving the seats for the various UNISON and US Navy officers, as well as any of the other Freedom League members who choose to sit. Part of the reason was that while in costume, she often found it harder to just operate at a more normal speed, and the idea of sitting down for awhile was not too appealing. At least standing she could feel slightly closer to being in motion. As Dr. Sato's briefing began, it did not take very long at all before the speedster’s typical smile began to fade and the true severity of the situation become completely apparent. When Gabriel spoke up first, he voiced exactly the same thing that Velocity had been thinking herself. Once he finished, she chimed in as well. "Dr. Sato, like Gabriel, I am not sure there is a lot I can do about the faultline or the volcano. But I can certainly help with finding the missing field team. I can cover a lot of ground, or even ocean, pretty quickly."

Velocity continued with her short bursts of speed and then waiting as the Baron continued "leading" her down the hallway. She did not say anything in response to his request to not go through any of the walls, understanding his concern about his various experiments. She had only intended to go through the wall, or door, of the room the stopwatch was in. But, while she was feeling somewhat impatient, she was also somewhat concerned about what she might find in the room when they got there, and also a bit nervous about seeing her Robert again. “Hmm, I've heard of him." She replied when the Baron mentioned Fenris. The Baron then sent off a security guard they encountered and the pair reached the door and the Baron started to try to unlock it. The speedster sat to one side, her impatience starting to grow a she waited to see if he could get it open. "I will do my best." She replied when he asked she try to not wreck the entire lab.

When Merge disappeared, Velocity tensed up slightly ready for a possible attack. The moment Merge reappeared behind her, the speedster spotted her thanks to the three hundred and sixty degree sight her goggles provided her. Just as Merge began to speak, the yellow clad speedster turned in an instant. *CRACK* Her fist broke the sound barrier as it slammed into Merge, knocking the other woman onto her rear. Velocity looked down at her, a slight smirk on her face. "Turning over a new leaf huh? You think you just get to say you changed sides and everything you have done before is forgiven? I believe I indicated I was willing to listen to why I shouldn't arrest you and you want to play games." "So, how about you tell me what is going on that involves you, Madame Marvelous and Asad?"

"Well, whether my father lacked faith in you or me or both of us, it still was rather uncalled for." Megan replied, still planning to have a talk with her father at some point. She then listened as Amir talked about the possibility of his being a hero being a threat to those he cared about (beyond just himself). The blonde young woman certainly had no intention of bringing up his kidnapping, so instead focused on his last comments about his possible response to any such threats. "Well, I am sure the bad PR will deter some, but not sure about a lot of supervillains. I mean, they already get bad PR as it is, not sure how more would really matter to them." -
Okay, moved us forward some, but did not want to go too far, depending on what various PCs wanted to do. (such as Harry and Lucy trying to learn some things while waiting down where the fighters are, or how long Crimson planed to observe before she did anything).

As Freddy began warming up slightly, Harry and Lucy settled in to observe the others around them and wait the event to start. High up above, in shadowy section of the support beams for the roof, Crimson Tiger continued to observe the scene below. As she watched, the teenage heroine was able to identify several men which she took to be bookies or the like, making their way around the edges of the crowd, appearing to take bets from the spectators. Each of them were accompanied by tough looking thug which Crimson Tiger had the distinct impression was armed. In all, there appeared to be about five of these bookies and their bodyguards. Scattered around the spectator areas, Crimson counted about six other thugs who were clearly on the lookout for any trouble makers or other problems.

GM Dr. Conte looked over to Blue Jay as she asked her questions, giving her a warm smile. "Those are some very good questions." He replied. "Fresh water supply can often be a major issue following a flood, particularly for those we are here to help. Flood waters can contain a variety of contaminants, and can often contaminate the water supply villages regularly use. Testing those sources will be a high priority as we start visiting the affected locations. As for ourselves, we have a considerable supply of fresh water, both for ourselves and to provide to the affected locals, and will be receiving regular resupply. Depending on what we discover regarding the local water supplies, locating alternate water sources might be a high priority as well, and I understand that one of you has abilities that can help with that." "As for our food supply, the MREs are mainly for when we are out working in the affected areas. We are well stocked with other food and a full kitchen, all of that just needs to be unpacked right now. As for living off the land, there are a number of potential game animals in the area, though many are on the endangered lists."

Now that Kyle was able to focus a bit more on large living room and its décor. The section of the room closest to the large windows contained two large black leather couches arranged around a glass top coffee table. One had its back towards the interior wall of the living room, the served to separate the dining room area, and faced the wall that ran from where the foyer connected to the room and the wall of windows. Along that strip of wall, Megan had placed several low book cases, which had few books on their shelves, along with several small sculptures and vases. One of the book shelves contained a blueray player along with other home entertainment components. A large flat screen TV was mounted up on the wall above the bookshelves. Along the interior wall of the living room, between one of the entrances to the kitchen area and the foyer, had been turned into a small office area. There was a long table on which Megan had her laptop, printer along with some other well organized office supplies. There was also a pair of low bookshelves. There were a number of paintings and other artwork throughout the room as well. Megan made her way out of the kitchen with a pair of coffee mugs with fresh coffee made in her high end espresso maker. Setting them down in front of her and Kyle, she sat down right next to him on the leather couch. "Hmm, discount chocolate. I guess some good came from having to delay Valentine’s Day." She said with a wide grin as she took one of the sweets from the box Kyle had set out. "So what is you favorite part now?" She then asked, raising one eyebrow slightly.

Cubist, the dazed condition went away last round (when you missed your action then). As for recovering from the bruised condition, I believe you have to get ride of the more serious conditions before the lesser can be removed, so the injured would prevent recovering from the bruised condition. In any event, you can act this round.

GM One of the police officers put in a call about the submarine so that police boats and divers could get out there to locate it. When Warp dumped all the unconscious mercenaries into the room, the other officers all looked rather surprised but quickly moved over to begin handcuffing them. "Wow, you girls sure cleaned up a lot of these guys." One of the officers commented while handcuffing an unconscious mercenary. The officer that had been talking to the two was taking notes about what they had to say and shook his head at Warp's question. "No, no idea who these guys might be, least not yet. We will probably be contacting other law enforcement agencies, both federal and maybe even international. As for who might have hired them, we have even less of an idea about that." He glanced down at some of the unconscious men. "Maybe some of them might feel like talking." The officer then took statements from the two, not asking for anything more than their identities as Warp and Tsunami. When he had finished, he looked over at the two teenage heroines. "Well, thanks for everything. This could have gone much worse if you two had not been here. There are reporters and photographers starting to swarm around outside, so you might want to make use of those portal things you do to get out of here without attracting attention."

Megan had a neutral expression as Amir talked about his promise to her father. The young woman was starting to feel rather annoyed with her father. Not only was his demand for such a promise from Amir insulting to Amir, it showed a distinct lack of trust in her. She just might have to have a talk with him sometime soon. But she did not say anything more on that subject, taking a sip of her tea a she listened to Amir’s answer to her question. "Well, being in the public eye is one thing, and I am sure the paparazzi are incredibly annoying. But there is a considerable difference between someone trying to get the perfect picture at any cost and say…Dr. Stratos. I mean, while you can certainly take care of yourself, it still must be hard to constantly be on guard in case someone comes after you. And what about the possibility of someone going after your family? Or Angus?" -

Just as the man with the sub-machinegun that had shot Jubatus was just bracing to fire another burst at the dazed hero when one of the cat-men rushed up next to him. The cat-man's claws tore across the man’s chest and dropped him down onto the ground and out of the fight. The street gang member that was still in the fight took a shot at the cat-man near him, but again, missed the target badly. The cat-man closed quickly, lashing out with his claws towards the young man's throat, but somehow at the last minute the gang member pulled to the side and instead received only minimal slashes across one shoulder. The other conscious gang member continued to try to struggle against his duck tape bonds, but to no avail. As he was recovering from being hit by one of the sub-machinegun rounds, Jubatus happened to glance over to the cat-man who had been knocked out by the man in white and was lying near him. Now that the figure was unconscious, the cat-like features that he had previously displayed were gone, and instead the young man simply looked like a young Jamaican man, possibly a member of a Jamaican posse.

Velocity had been able to watch most of what was going on in the conference room from where she had positioned herself, including having been able to see the video that Merge showed to Asad. But, despite this, she still did not have a clear clue what was going on exactly, as she could not hear what was being said. Was Merge Trois helping Madame Marvelous blackmail Asad somehow? Something else? The young superheroine did not like the uncertainty, and was a bit worried about Asad, he clearly did not seem happy to see Merge Trois. When Merge made her way out of the Summit offices, the speedster decided she would need to take a bit more of a direct approach to figure out what was going on. *WOOSH* With a gust of wind and a blur of yellow, the speedster appeared in front of Merge in the plaza outside Summit's building. "Okay, hold it right there Merge Trois. I'm Velocity from the Freedom League and last I heard, you were committing crimes against banks and large corporations. So, I would like to hear why I should not be escorting you to the police station."

Well, that would still mean Velocity would want to go confront Merge when she leaves the building to find out exactly what is going on.
