Okay, edited my last post to have her throttle the engine down and try to stop the yacht. Also, she will take a couple of free actions (again thanks to Quickness 9) to take 20 on some Notice checks around her (for a total of 29), on the look out for Trap-Door. Her goggles (Device) provide 360 degree sight, so she doesn't even have to turn around.
-
No, not the wheel, Velocity is looking for the controls for the power to the engines (ie the throttle).
-
So, that will be a Search action, taking 20, which should be a free action thanks to her Quickness.
-
Velocity was just about ready to head off in pursuit of Get Away when the other hero zapped her with a stun gun, halting her, at least for the moment. "Well, seems like you have her under control." She called out. "I'll head up to the bridge and see what is going on there." With that, the speedster was off in a blur of movement. A few seconds later, she arrived at the yacht's bridge, finding the large man who had made the earlier announcement about the start of the auction unconscious on the floor. But the room was otherwise empty for the moment. Velocity frowned a moment, worried where the leader of Larceny Inc might be right now. But for the moment, she needed to at least get the ship stopped, so she began looking around for the controls to bring the engines to a stop. Spotting the throttle next to the wheel for the ship, Velocity shifted it to power down the engines and try to bring the massive yacht to a stop. While she was doing that, the speedster took a few moments to check the area around her, looking out for any sign of Trap-Door, the technology in her goggles allowing her to do so without even turning around.

Velocity will take a move action to get up to the bridge and see what is going on there.
-
That is unfortunately a miss. Go ahead and post in the IC.

Once again the speedster of Larceny Inc tried to use her sonic boom against Velocity and the costumed hero who was also on hand. This time Velocity was better prepared, dancing out of the way of the shockwave before running back over to Smash as he tried to get back up after her last attack. "Normally don't like to do this, but I think you need to take a nap so we can get on with getting everything back under control." The speedster stated as she delivered another supersonic punch to the muscleman. As he went down for good this time, Velocity looked up to Get Away. "Sorry, he won't be helping anytime soon. Might I suggest surrendering?"

Velocity is going to try to finish Smash this round, sticking with the same Def attack move she has been following (Def up to 28). She gets a 25 on the attack roll, another DC 28 toughness save.
-
Yeah, this time Velocity does just fine with a 30 for her Reflex save.
-
Velocity managed to twist just enough that the sonic boom caused by Get Away's arrival did little more than make her ears ring slightly. The speedster was much more used to delivering such an attack rather than receiving one. Focusing on the Asian woman when she stopped near Smash, Velocity just gave her a grin. "Sorry, I think I'll finish my dance with your muscle bound pal." With that she zipped over next to Smash once again, another *CRACK* echoing in the air as the speedster landed another solid hit. *WHAM* As Smash was knocked off his feet, Velocity remained in place, ready to turn her attention to Get Away.

Velocity’s going to stick with Smash for the moment. Still Def Attacking, -3 Atk/+3 Def. Attack roll is, BOO, an 11. Will use the new hero point to reroll, getting a much better 23. Another DC 28 toughness save for Smash.

GM Two of the gunmen who were not caught in the arc of Tsunami's attack went into action themselves. The first pulled a sub-machinegun from a waterproof bag, aiming the weapon at the Asian teen. The burst echoed in the small chamber, even of the sound of the water gushing in. But the attack was well off its intended target, the bullets ricocheting off the metal hull behind her. The second gunman drew a pistol, aiming at Warp and another gunshot echoed in the room. However his aim was not much better than his companions, and the bullet glanced off the steel grating the teens were standing off a good five feet to Warp's left. Recovering from Tsunami's attack, the leader of the gunmen looked back up at the pair. "I have had more than enough of both of you." He stated in a cold, deep voice. Swimming off to one side, the climbed up onto a ladder to exit the pool, while raising his speargun with one hand to sent a spear flying at Tsunami. The spear had a blunt tip, which arched with electricity once it was in the air, and struck the Asian teen solidly in the chest. Electricity arched across the shimmering sheen of water that flowed around Tsunami, who gave a brief, soft cry of pain but otherwise seemed unaffected.

Merc 1 pulls a SMG out of a waterproof bag and shots at Tsunami, missing with an 11. Merc 2 pulls out a pistol, shooting it at Warp, also missing with a 16. The leader fires his speargun at Tsunami, hitting with a 28. That is a DC 18 stun effect, Tsunami gets a 24 on her Fort save, so she is okay. Warp’s action!
-
Man, Velocity has had rather rotten luck with making low Reflex saves (her best save!) recently. She just missed it with a 16. But, she has Evasion 2, so the damage is still halved (rounded down I believe), making it a DC 18 toughness save. She handily makes that with a 27.

As the gunmen who had assaulted the aquarium broke the surface of the water, Warp and Tsunami could now see that they had with them about four mesh nets that contained some of the Deep One infants, though exactly how many was difficult to determine. As the gunmen and their leader took in the situation in the launch bay, Tsunami went into action. The Asian teen took a step forward, bringing both hands up in front of her, aiming them at the leader of the gunmen, and then swept them out to either side. As her hands moved, several quick bursts of water shot forth, twisting through the air as they sped towards the leader and four of the gunmen gathered around him. The coiling jets of water were unerring in their accuracy, each striking the intended target. The four gunmen struck were all knocked back into the water with grunts of pain, knocked unconscious to float in the water of the launch bay. The leader of the gunmen was struck as well, grunting in pain as he seemed dazed for a brief moment, before shaking it off.

Ouch. Tsunami is going to use one of her hero points now and power stunt: Blast 8 (Extras: Targeted Area (cone); Selective; Flaws: 0 Range; Feats: Accurate 2). She makes her attack roll and gets a: 27. A DC 23 toughness save for those hit (we will say it catches 4 of the Mercs and the main bad guy) Mercs: They all miss (one got close though). So they are out. Natas gets a: ouch, a 14. I will keep the result, giving him a bruise, but will remove the Daze (giving Tsunami back her hero point). Round One (revised) Tsunami: 23 (unharmed, 3 HP) Merc 1: 13 Merc 2: 12 Natas: 11 (bruised) Warp: 8 (unharmed, 1 HP) Merc 8: 6 Merc 4: 3

"Understood." Giang replied as John set out the plan for the engagement. With a thought, a shimmering sheen of water once more appeared around the Asian teen as she prepared to carry out her assigned task. But then Kazra decided she was just going to do what she thought was best and started to run off to pursue the disguised Serpent Person that was returning to Nova Roma. Giang looked after the girl with a feeling of frustration and was certain John was going to be even less pleased by her actions. But before anyone could do anything to try to stop Kazra, the ground began to tremble and the girl quickly rushed back to hide behind the Asian teen. Giang frowned slightly as she looked back over her shoulder. "I would remind you, we are not your subjects to command. And insulting one of us is not a way to make us agree to your suggested course of action." She stated with a slightly stern tone. The Asian teen then looked back to the others, mindful that their window of opportunity to ambush the departing Serpent People was quickly closing. "However, it may be prudent to see what is causing these tremors, particularly if it is somehow tied to the Serpent People's plot." She stated with a bit of reluctance.

"Oh please." Velocity replied with a roll of her eyes back as the large muscular villain turned back to threaten her. "Like I've never heard that one before." In a blur of movement, the yellow clad speedster was over next to Smash, her right hand shooting out at blinding speed. A loud *CRACK* echoed in the night air as her hand broke the sound barrier, and then connected solidly with the large villain's chin. *WHAM* Smash remained on his feet, but the blow clearly hurt, as he stepped back slightly, a dazed look on his face as he tried to regain his bearings. But the heroine was still on the move, zipping back around the deck to come to a stop next to the new hero, or at least she figured he was a hero, who had just appeared. "Hey." She offered, keeping her gaze on Smash. "I've got this guy. Why don’t you try to head up to the bridge and see what's going on there. I will catch up when I can."

Okay, guessing we are in combat time now. Velocity will run up to Smash and hit him. Using Defensive Attack for -3 atk/+3 Defense (making her total defense a 28 for now). Her attack roll is a: 22. If that is a hit, it is a DC 28 toughness save for Smash. She will move-by attack, so she moves back to where she started after making the attack.

Megan blinked as her vision blurred slightly, as she tried to remember what had happened back in the conference room in Katastrof Castle. As the memory came back to her she sat upright, probably a bit faster than she should have as she felt her head swim slightly and heard the voice of the man who had been speaking to her when she had been hit by…what did he call it, the null beams. Despite the haze in her head, the blonde mind was racing, going through things hundreds of time faster than a normal person could. Great, what the hell is going on. She thought as she noted that she had her bag in which her Velocity costume was hidden. Of course, it was not much use to her at the moment. Did he say 'base time?' She asked herself. Wonderful, time travelers. Focusing back on "Anders," a scowl came to her face. "Who the hell are you? What is the meaning of this kidnapping?" She yelled.

Don looked down at the photo Harry held out and listened as the rumpled private eye explained more about the girl and her connection to the aquarium. "Oh, that." He replied, nodding his head slightly. "Well, I don't really recognize her, never got the chance to speak with her or her friend when things went down here the other week. The police had pretty much taken over by the time they came back from going down in the river to take care of the submarine the gunmen that attacked this place were using." "But from what I understand, she and her friend had been in the aquarium when the attack started, and decided they couldn't sit back and do nothing, so they jumped into action and really cleaned up. I used to have surveillance footage of what happened, but the police impounded it all. While it is kinda embarrassing to have two teenage girls do my job for me, they certainly jumped in at the right moment. Thanks to them, the worst that happened was one of my men suffered a minor gunshot wound. It probably could have been a lot worse really." "But as to where they might be, or how they got here..I don't really know anything that would be of help I'm afraid."

Okay, time for new initiative rolls. Kinda lost count of what Merc numbers I was using, so I will start over again, hehe. Round One: Tsunami: 23 (unharmed, 3 HP) Merc 6: 18 Merc 3: 16 Merc 1: 13 Merc 2: 12 Natas: 11 Merc 7: 11 Merc 5: 10 Warp: 8 (unharmed, 1 HP) Merc 8: 6 Merc 4: 3

GM Tsunami gave a small smile and nodded in response to Warp's question as water began pouring through the hole the other teen had created. A warning siren began sounding inside the vessel, along with a light flashing in one corner of the room. Clearly, any of the crew in the vessel's bridge was likely now aware that the hull had been comprised. It was just about that point that three mini-submersibles broke through the surface of the pool of water in the room that opened out into the river. The leader of the group of gunmen was on one of them, along with another eight of the wetsuit clad gunmen.

"From what I have read in various sources, it would seem that Genghis Khan did follow such a practice." Giang replied simply, turning away from the discussion of the ancient warlord and focusing instead on Elias' comments about his perfect memory and his difficulty with keeping the thoughts and feelings separated from his own. "Hmm." She stated as she seemed in thought a moment. "If you have had your abilities for as long as you say, perhaps part of the problem is you never developed a sufficiently strong sense of self before you started taking in those thoughts and feelings from others around you?"
