I believe we are back at the top of the inititive now, for her action, Velocity will be holding, circling around the area where BK III stopped at about 400-500 feet away. She will keep an eye on what is going on as best she can, with her goggle's Extended sight, she is only a -4 or -5 to a Notice check to visually look for a sign BK III is about to attack Fleur. She will take 20 on her Notice check to keep an eye on BK III (for a total of 29, before penalty). Normally taking 20 on a Notice check takes 1 minute, but she has Quickness 9, which specifically allows her to perform that action in 1000th the time, or .06 of a second, which should be more than enough to make that a free action.

As Kyle had predicted, Nick and Mack began to continue their longstanding conversation regarding video games and what truly constituted a proper video game collection. Megan instead focused talking with Amanda and Yasuko. Megan's smiled widened slightly at being termed the "mystery woman." "Yes, that would be me. It's very nice to meet both of you." She replied in a good natured tone. "To tell the truth, I believe both of you were at the Millennium when Kyle and I met. It was a couple of weeks ago when Adam got his headline in the sports section and a front page blurb. I had just finished my first week at my internship and was there with some of my co-workers."

Mobster 4 gets a 17 on his toughness save, so he is going down. You can go ahead and post all that in IC.

Giang had been a bit surprised when some of the children had wanted to show something to her and Subito. The two teens found Cerys in the middle of a growing crowd of natives, the Asian teen noting the corpse of the fearsome looking carnivore that was on the frame near Cerys and her group. She gave Cerys a friendly smile and a nod in return of the other girl’s wave before listening to the story of what had happened. "I am sorry you were not able to complete the objective you had set for yourself Cerys." She stated after the Welsh girl had finished her tale. "But it sounds as if it was eventful regardless." But soon the three teens were being directed back towards the great courtyard near Lord Zandar's hall, where they were reunited with their other classmate. As they reached the courtyard, Giang regarded the two groups of similarly dressed individuals that were clearly not some of their host’s subjects. But she did not have long to wonder who they might be as Lord Zandar quickly introduced them as ambassadors from neighboring lands. Following Lord Zandar's introduction, Giang greeted each group of ambassadors with a bow similar to the one with which she had greeted Lord Zandar earlier in the day. As they were led into the great hall, the Asian teen looked about at the wondrous decorations that filled the interior, before she and her classmates were greeted by Lord Zandar’s wife. "You honor us with your gracious hospitality Lady Korzeel." Giang replied in greeting, giving her customary bow to the jungle lord's wife. Taking the seat she was directed to, Giang found herself sitting beside John, the two of them almost directly across from Cerys and Subito. To her other side was one of the ambassadors from the Incan kingdom, who was interested to learn that she had grown up in a small village that tended terraced rice paddies, very similar to the terraced farmland that supported Viracochasuyu.

Giang considered what Darren said about the bomb. "Well, then we likely know that whomever sent this duplicate of the Headmaster, it was not the Headmaster himself. Perhaps the very point of the bomb was to try to kill as many of Young Freedom as possible?" When Crow finally rose back his feet, the Asian teen focused back on him, listening as he explained what he had learned. She frowned as she considered the implications, and was already in action as he gave them both fresh orders. She was still holding the stairs made of water in place that she and Crow had climbed up to the ruined office. With but a thought, the teen reshaped the water into a slide. "Let us go then." She said simply, running ahead of Crow to jump over the ruined wall and sliding back down to ground level. Landing on her feet, she then started off towards the gym building, looking about for any threats.

Once again the large mobster manages to land a powerful blow on Mess, but the experienced pugilist manages to stay on his feet. Up near the bar, the mobster that Hound had just hit with the pool cue takes a swing at the private eye. Hound manages to duck under the swing, but it came a lot closer than he would have liked. The biker that was fighting with one of the mobsters again swung his pool stick at the man. It whistled closer this time, but the mobster still managed to step aside. Growling angrily, the mobster reached under his jacket and pulled out a pistol. He then swung the weapon at the biker, but once again his attack missed its target. Over by the broken pool table, the other biker present aimed a punch at the large mobster, managing to land a solid blow to the side of his head. While the mobster remained on his feet, he clearly felt the blow.

Mobster 4 takes a swing at Hound, getting a 18, so he misses. Biker 1 attacks Mobster 1 again, getting an 11, closer, but still a miss. Biker 3 changes targets to Mobster 3, and hits with a 16. Mobster 3 rolls a 12 vs the DC 16 punch, so he picks up another bruise as well. Mobster 1 pulls out a pistol and tries to hit Biker 1 with it, getting a 7, which is a miss. This brings up the start of round 4: Hound : 21 (wins tie due to higher Dex, in melee with Mobster 4 up near the bar) Biker 2: 21 (in melee with Mess) Mess: 20 (2 bruised) (2 HP) Mobster 2: 19 (at front door) Mobster 3: 19 (2 bruised) (in melee with Mess and Biker 3) Mobster 4: 15 (up near bar, in melee with Hound) Biker 1: 9 (in melee with Mobster 1) Biker 3: 9 (in melee with Mobster 3) Mobster 1: 4 (in melee with Biker 1) Hound's action.

The mobster back up near the door remained in place, staring down a couple of patrons that had started to run for the door, his pistol still pointed downward. The people that had been making for the door instead rushed over to try to take cover under tables or in booths. Mess delivered his right cross into the large mobster's jaw, but the man took the blow before snapping his head back around to face off with Mess without so much as a pause. "Oh, I'm big enough!" He yelled, bringing his left hand down onto Mess' shoulder once again. Up where he was in melee with one of the mobsters, Hound spotted Ricky crawling across the bar room floor, making his way towards the back exit.

Mobster 3 gets a 30 for his toughness save. He takes another swing at Mess, getting a 21 which is just enough to hit. That is another DC 20 Toughness save for Mess.

Giang looked over a Darren with a slight frown on her face. "Not large enough for the Terminus?" She asked. "Simply because there are no hordes of Omega drones as there were previously? The forces of the Terminus have attempted brute force before, and were beaten back by this city's heroes, as well as others from around the country. It would make sense not to repeat the same tactic, at least not without some attempt to weaken any defenders before launching the main assault." "Currently, the Terminus, or whomever is behind this, has apparently managed to replace or control a number of heroes throughout the city, and have unleashed them to sow death and chaos. Other heroes are moving to oppose them, but in so doing will likely be weakened or perhaps even injured. This could just be the prelude to a larger invasion, or perhaps even just the beginning of a long term strategy to weaken those that would stand against the Terminus." She paused a moment, but then continued. "But perhaps more importantly, do we really know this is the work of agents of the Terminus? We only have the word of this robotic replacement, and perhaps the actual Headmaster's suspicions, assuming he had not been replaced when I first met with him twelve days ago. Some other organization or individual could very well be responsible, trying to divert suspicion by implicating the Terminus." The Asian teen then turned to regard Morgan once again, waiting to see if he might uncover anything that would assist them in deciding what course of action to follow next.

Okay, Mess is up.

Running back up the steps to the section of the room by the bar, Hound swung his pool cue at the mobster that had thrown the chair. The attack hit, but ended up only a glancing blow that did not seem to slow the mobster much. Back down by the busted pool table, one of the bikers next to Mess swung his pool cue at the private eye once again. "Let's see how much being pumped up helps you now!" He yelled as the cue cracked across Mess' back. However, the blow barely registered to Mess, who shook it off and was still going strong.
-
Biker 2 swings his pool cue at Mess, hitting with a 22. Thankfully he is a minion, so he can't get a critical hit on Mess. Need a toughness save for Mess, DC 17.
-
Amazingly, Mobster 4 makes his toughness save with a 20.
-
Well, the nearest mobster is the big guy that is fighting Mess. There is a biker nearby that tried to hit Mess last turn. And Hound could get to the mobster that threw the chair with a move action. So, your choice.

Megan gave a small smile. "I will be sure to thank her for you next time we talk. I am sure she will be happy to hear how the tutoring helped." The blonde's smile broadened slightly at the banter between Kyle and Mack regarding his question of whether her older sister was seeing anyone. "I don't think she is seeing anyone at the moment." Megan replied. "But then she is pretty busy with her family medicine residency through the University of Washington in Seattle." As they reached the basement room, Megan looked around the dim room at the home theater set up. "Wow, very impressive." She commented, before one of Kyle's other friends called out to their host about his limited selection in video games. Megan smiled slightly at Kyle's comment, moving over with him towards one of the empty seats that would be large enough for the two of them. Taking a seat, she glanced over at the other two women present, giving them a warm smile. "Hi, I'm Megan."
-
"And shoes as well." Megan stated with a grin. She was about to suggest that playing Sherpa had its benefits, but stopped herself. Let’s not get too carried away with the flirting. She thought to herself. Listening to Mack talk about his entertainment system and Kyle mentioning his playing for the Ravens some, the young blonde had to fight her instinct to start talking about investmenting that was now part of her daily routine at Summit. Instead, she smiled widely, as she started, "Well, we definitely have to see it then. Besides, I need to meet the others. And speaking of playing pro, you two will need to be sure to point out any of your former teammates for me, just so I know who I should be rooting extra hard for to have a good games." As the three started towards the basement, Megan looked back over to Mack. "You played at North Bay Academy right?" She asked, though she knew the answer. "You might remember my sister, Samantha. She was study body president during the two of yours Senior year. And my brother, Jason, would have been two years behind you."

Mobster 4 throws a chair at Harry and gets a 20. Normally that might hit, but there should be at least a -1 penalty to the attack for range or something, so it just misses. Biker 1 swings a pool cue at Mobster 1 and totally misses with a 3 Biker 3 takes a swing at Mess, but also misses with a 7 Mobster 1 takes a swing at Biker 1 and also misses with a 9 And with that, round three starts: Hound : 21 (wins tie due to higher Dex) Biker 2: 21 (in melee with Mess) Mess: 20 (bruised) (2 HP) Mobster 2: 19 (at front door) Mobster 3: 19 (bruised) (in melee with Mess) Mobster 4: 15 (up near bar) Biker 1: 9 (in melee with Mobster 1) Biker 3: 9 (in melee with Mess) Mobster 1: 4 (in melee with Biker 1)

While Mess took a mighty blow from the large mobster, chaos continued to unfold within the bar. Back up by where Hound had been sitting, the Mobster that Hound had initially distracted picked up a chair and took a step, flinging it across the room towards where the rumpled private eye was now standing with his improvised weapon. Though not the best fighter, Hound was rather skilled at getting out of the way of a punch, and he managed to duck underneath the improvised missile, though just barely. Over by the other set of steps, one of the bikers that had been playing pool swung his pool cue at the mobster that was making his way down to the lower part of the bar. However, the attack was wildly off, the pool cue hitting a thin support column with a *THWAP*. Back by the busted pool table, another of the bikers, this one not carrying a cue, took a swing at Mess, but his swing was easily blocked aside by the skilled fighter. Now facing an enraged biker wielding a pool cue, the mobster that had been by the front door aimed a kick at the man, but it was poorly timed and missed its target as well.

AA, Velocity did make a call over the League's net, both to inform them of the injured heroes and asking if there was anyone that could try to help ambush Bee Keeper :)

"Hmm, nice and strong. I will have to remember than next time I want to go clothes shopping" Megan teased with a little smile when Kyle mentioned lifting groceries as she reached up to give one of his biceps a small squeeze. When the door opened, Megan gave Mack a warm smile. "Thank you, very nice to meet you Mack." She said as she made her way in, starting back towards the kitchen after Kyle indicated the way. Once inside, she helped Kyle with putting away the food and drinks they had brought as she listened to him and Mack. Smiling slightly as their host described his new home theater system, she glanced a Kyle a moment before replying. "Sounds like the perfect system to watch the games on."
-
The mobster that Mess had initially intimidated finished moving to block the front door, turning to look down towards where the fight had shifted after Mess had been thrown across the bar. Reaching into his jacket, the man pulled out a pistol which he kept pointed down for the moment. Just as Mess got back up, boosting himself, the large mobster came leaping over the booths and ledge towards the metahuman private eye. "Good, I would hate to think this would be too easy!" He yelled, as he landed on the wrecked pool table, brining one of his large fists down towards Mess and connecting with a powerful blow.

Mobster 3 attacks Mess, getting a 21 on his attack roll. Need another toughness save for Mess, this time DC 20 (which takes into account his partial immunity)

"Thank you Subito." Giang replied with a small smile as he complimented her on the impromptu show she had put on. The pair then started back towards the house of dinosaur bones, their translator following closely behind. When the other teen turned around to talk with her as he walked backwards, the Asian teen slowed down slightly in order to make it somewhat easier for him to do so. She listened as he once again apologized for being flustered back at the market place and then went on to ask her for suggestions about what he might get Cerys as a gift and then becoming rather flustered yet again. Giving the stocky teen a small, reassuring smile, Giang replied, "There is no need to apologize. But I am likely not the best person to be asking such a question." "I would imagine you have a far better idea of what Cerys likes, or does not like. I only met her the other day, when Headmaster Summers called us together to inform us we would be the students making this trip, the same day I met you and John. And I have had no opportunity to speak with her since." She paused a moment, and then continued. "And while I can understand the idea that one girl might have some insight into what might be of interest to another, I am not certain it is quite as simple as that. I believe there are far too many differences that can exist to allow me to offer any reliable suggestion, just based on my being a girl as well, or even what I might like myself."

Might as well go with initiative now. But Siphon has the drop on them at the moment.
