  1. Megan had been listening to the radio after doing some studying (all ten minutes that is had taken her to finish all her homework for the next couple of days) when the radio broadcast of the arrival of the unusual aircraft had come across the airwaves. In a flash, she was changed into the yellow costume (with checkered racing stripes) of Velocity and was out the side of the house and speeding off towards the water. Once she got there, she really kicked in the speed, a small sonic boom setting off as she broke the sound barrier and ran across the top of the water, a spray of water trailing her as she ran up the Wading River towards the North End. She was quickly back on shore, slowing a bit as she zipped through the streets, dodging cars and running along the sides of buses before she came to the traffic jam that formed around where the flying saucer was. Skidding to a halt just at the police lines, she looked over at the sight, not exactly sure what she could do.

  4. Velocity chuckled at Emissary's comment about the gifts for the twelve days of Christmas. "No one actually gives those gifts to anyone Emissary. Though there are financial companies that price how much it would cost to do so, I believe the current cost would be about $16,000, or, if you duplicate the previous days gifts each following day, as suggested in the song, the price is somewhere around $73,000."

  7. “I appreciate the thought Seth.†Megan replied, “but I’m the captain of the squad, just skipping out right after a pep rally is rather anti-school spirit.â€Â

  10. Megan and the cheerleaders with her stopped as Seth approached the group and asked if they wanted to go grab some pizza. Megan had met Seth before few times, his father having worked with her father before on some deals. Seth was really cute, though in a indie sort of way, not quite Megan’s type. Several of the other girls smiled at the handsome Seth as Megan did as well. “I think I’ll pass.†Megan said. “I try to avoid pizza.†“I’ll go.†Becky replied. “Me to.†Added Lucy.

  16. Velocity looked at the device, then glanced back over at the other rooftop as Emissary flew over to help Hybrid. I hope you all can handle them for a moment. She thought. She then activated her communicator. “Deadalus, I have found something on the main antennae here. There were some robot bats that got beamed in as well, we are finishing those up.†She said, and then quickly describes the device to the inventor.

  19. “I think there is always some room for improvement, after all, if we did not have anything to strive for, the world would become complacent and stagnate.†Megan replied. “Unfortunately it is always easier for those with more to achieve more than those that have little.â€Â

  22. “Well, I have to get into college before I worry too much about what I am going to do after, I am only in my Senior year at North Bay.†Megan replied with a smile. Then she got a bit more serious as she continued. “But, I have put some thought into what I want to study and might want to do. Regardless of what that might be, I likely will be spending time around here, I have been sort of born to it. But as for a career, I’m not sure, I am interested in the law, but not sure if I want to put so much of my life into it as my dad has. I also an pretty interested in economics, so maybe something in that.â€Â

  25. wouldn't earned hero points be the first to be spent? Otherwise it could really be too easy to reach the max number of them if the ones that refresh are spent first.
