"Umm, I doubt that will happen."Velocity commented as the boy started worrying about all the things that could potentially happen to him to cause more destruction. "The first thing you need to do, is to not panic." She then said. "That is when you're sure to lose control. But what will help the most is to practice, get the hang of what you can do, or even just find out what all that might be. The best bet for that is to probably find some place where no one is around and try things out. It's not always easy, but it helps."

Well, I am kinda stuck waiting for Toptomcat to post before I can keep going. Tomorrow morning (at o' dark thirty) we are getting on a plane to go to my parents, so I will be out most of the day.

"Oh." Velocity replied as the kid mentioned possibly hurting someone. She wondered if the explosion he was talking about was like the sonic boom she was capable of causing that could create quite a bit of damage in a good sized area. Then she put her hand under his chin, lifting his face up so she could look into his eyes. "Your powers do not make you a freak, do those bullies even know that you have them?" "As for the accident, well, that's what it was, an accident. Hopefully whomever it was is not seriously hurt. You just need to learn to be more in control, so it doesn't happen again."

Yeah, I guess that works. Though Velocity's moving a lot faster than Val, so she would likely get the spear, and Val would likley see the villains port out.

Megan sat though her history class, taking detailed notes, as she always did. It was something of a trick to make it look like she was frantically writing like everyone else in the class, while in reality she was hardly exerting any effort at all to keep up with what the teacher was saying. Luckily she had had two years to work on making it look natural. As she wrote, she slightly wondered a bit about the note in her bag. From her experience, most guys that wrote such types of notes were often something of a disappointment. Yeah, they could be nice an flowery with words on paper and act romantic in what they had to say, but Megan felt that was a bit odd for the start (least that’s what they hoped) of something. Now having notes left for you after you had been seeing someone for awhile, that was nice. When class ended, she stayed in her seat a bit longer as people began to make their way out. The teacher was busy clearing the dry erase board, so Megan took the envelope out of her pack and opened it. She opened the note and began to read. She felt her body tense as she read it, and took a quick look around once more to make sure no one was watching. She really hoped that this note did not mean what she thought it meant, as she quickly put it away.

Velocity gave the boy a bit of a sympathetic smile as he started talking about the first appearance of his powers and being picked on. "Steve Anderson?" She then asked, remembering the Kingston Heights' quarterback who's life she had likely saved. "I wouldn't worry, his attention was pretty well focused on my..." She then stopped herself, noting how young the boy in front of her was. "He was pretty much in shock and focused on me." "Awww, its okay." She said, leaning down slightly to try to look at Johnny in the eyes. "It can be really disorienting I know, it took me awhile to get the hang of things when I first got my powers, though I was a bit older, but you will figure it out, and might even find you like being able to move superfast."
-
Velocity just looked at Johnny a moment, her mouth opening slightly in shock. "Excuse me?" She paused only a moment before continuing, "Umm, if you want to go calling yourself a freak, go right a head, but I'll have you know I'm one of the most popular girls in my school! Getting a date has never been something I've had much trouble with." "I mean, like, I'm a superhero! Don't you watch the news or anything?" She asked, holding out her hands as if to emphasize her yellow costume with checkered flag racing stripes down the side. "What do you mean what's happening to us? How long have you been able to run a couple hundred miles an hour?"

Velocity looked up as the giant bat flew over towards her. “I left making out with my boyfriend for this?†She muttered as she quickly lashed out at the giant bat with a punch, putting a little extra behind the punch. The wind was making it a bit difficult to move up on the roof, so for the moment she stayed where she was.

Megan arrived at school at her normal time, just a little bit before her first class. She spent so much time here most days with all the activities she was involved in, she really saw no need to come in too early. After parking her car, she made her way to her locker to get her books for her honors history class. She was wearing her cheerleading outfit, as there was a pep rally later that morning. As she opened her locker, an envelope began to fall to the floor, but she managed to catch it before it fell too far. She looked at it a moment, not recognizing it, and then realized what it likely was. Looking up, she looked down both sides of the hallway, lots of other students were at their lockers, or on their way classes, but none seemed to be paying particular attention to her. Spotting two of the other cheerleaders, Lucy and Tabitha, making their way towards her, she quickly put the envelope in her backpack so she could look at it later. If the other girls knew, they would want to know more about it, and want to try to figure out who it might be from, not to mention it would then become a major topic of gossip for the next day or so. Besides, it was not like she had not been getting notes like this since her Freshman year. I hope it’s not another one of one of those science geeks. She thought as she grabbed her books and put them into the pack as well before turning to face Lucy and Tabitha as they reached her locker. “Hey.†She said with a bright smile. “You two ready for the pep rally later?†She asked as she shut her locker and they started off down the hallway, talking with her two friends.
