I would also like Ref control over Megan's date Cory Wells: Also a Senior at the the prestigious Prep School in North Bay that Megan attends. Cory is from a wealthy family, and plays on the school's Lacross team.

Megan made her way though the "Haunted Block Party" in the Theater District, holding hands with her current boyfriend, Cory Wells. The blonde teen was smiling as she enjoyed the festive atmosphere. She and Cory had another party to attend later at the house of one of their friends back in North Bay, and for that they would change into costumes for that one. Megan would have worn her costume to this, but seeing as there were lots of kids present, it was probably not quite appropriate. Instead she was simply dressed in a tight pair of high end designer jeans, with a blue cashmere sweater and a light jacket, due to the crisp Autumn air. "So we going to head to the haunted house first?" She asked Cory with a slight smile.

Hey EF, a few things that came to me. 1) In the FC sourcebook, the location of Freedom City is left open. You should probably set what where it is and post that somewhere clear to all the refs and such are uniform. 2) Perhaps there should be a thread where Refs that run adventures can put in a small post providing a summary of what happened in the adventure, with things that might have made the local news being highlighted. This could be a way for other players to keep tabs on what other heroes (and villains) have done.

I would be interested with my heroine, Velocity. I could easily imagine her going to the event on a date with her current boyfriend :)

It really depends upon what the power is, but many are restricted by the PL of the character. But there are what are called "tradeoffs". A PL 10 character can have an attack of +10 with a power that does +10 damage (totalling +20). The Martial Artist trades 6 from the damage, and adds that to the attack, tiving them attack +16 and damage +4 (still totalling +20). The same is true with defense/toughness. For powers that do not have an attack roll (like area effect attacks), the cap in damage is the PL limit (so a PL 10 character can have a +10 damaging area effect blast). Other powers, like say, flight, are not capped, though most PL 10 characters are not going to spend the 40 power points for 20 ranks of Flight :)

Well, like I said, there are a lot of school related extra-circular activities, but she is part of the popular crowd, so there are parties, hanging out with friends and dating. (after all, being able to do homework in a fraction of the time leaves you lots of free time). Her dad is not home much (like any partner at a major law firm), her mom (Erin) is involved in charity/philanthropies, so is pretty busy as well. Given their wealth and status, there are often charity events, parties and the like that Megan has to go to. I’ll think about whether anyone knows her identity or not. Well, basically I have broken the Superspeed power into its individual elements. If you look at it in Ultimate Power, the 5 points per rank gives you a rank of speed, a rank of quickness, a rank of improved initiative and two points into “superspeed arrayâ€Â., which gives you those things speedsters can do, such as punch someone with such velocity behind the blow that it hits real hard (strike), causing a mini sonic boom that flattens people, etc. Basically what I have done, is limited the speed, quickness and initiative parts of the superspeed power to 7 ranks (I don’t really see the need for running 10,000 mph), but bought the array part of the power up to 10 ranks.

Velocity PL/PPs: 13 (184/196 pp) Unspent PPs: 12 ________________________ Real Name: Megan Howell Identity: Secret Occupation: College Student Age: 18 Height: 5’5†Weight: 105 lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue Background: Megan’s father, Donald Howell, is a senior partner in the corporate department of the law firm of Hartford, Grayson & Cole (the largest law firm in Freedom City). Her parents have a very large home in North Bay, and she is a Senior at an exclusive private school there. During Sophomore year, a field trip to Astro Labs, resulted in Megan getting exposed to some chemicals during a supervillain attack that gave her superspeed. Since then she has used her powers to help people and fight crime under the identity of Velocity (she wears a mask with a wig in costume). Always a bright girl, her powers have helped her maintain a very solid GPA, and she is involved in a number of school activities (she looks to most like your typical overachiever that is going to burn themselves out). She is the captain of the cheerleading squad, on the debate team, and tries to be involved in just about every planning committee you can think of. In-costume Description: As Velocity, Megan wears a skin tight yellow bodysuit with checkered racing strips up the sides of her leg and torso and continuing down the sides of her arm. She also wears yellow gloves and boots and a small utility belt in which she carries a few things, such as marbles which she throws at supersonic speeds. In addition, she covers most of her head in a matching colored mask that has her face exposed. To further conceal her identity, a brunette wig extends out the back of the mask in a ponytail. Hi-tech, mirrored goggles over her eyes and the upper half of her face.
