Okay, the two fighters will engage Stormchild, both hit with the fighters' blasters. @EternalPhoenix that is two DC 25 toughness saves for Stormchild. One of the Lt's will go after Owen, 20, @Lone_Star that is a DC 23 toughness save for Prime Mover. The other Lt (who has a penalty from the despair) will go after Serendipity. 16 (I forgot to apply the -2 penalty), so that is a miss. @EternalPhoenix Serendipity is up!
-
Okay, sorry for the delay, moving things forward again. @Lone_Star Will say Owen is able to get 6 troopers, a tough alien and the other Lieutenant in his area attack. The attack roll hits all but the Lieutenant. DC 25 toughness saves: Troopers: all fail and are out. Tough Alien: 15, so also out.
-
@Lone_Star A couple issues (You need to link Prime Mover's sheet in your signature); First, Stormchild flew high up into the air. Paralyze is a touch attach and you did not buy it as Ranged, meaning the targeted area burst is centered around Owen, so he could not fly up to Stormchild and have it go off away from him. A second issue, somehow we let the power get through approval with an error, it is not built correctly. It has too many extras (as you have it now, it would cost 40 PP, not 30), so you likely need to drop the Selective extra (or area).

@Lone_Star Owen is up!
-
@FlyingFresh The Troopers: three make their saves, the other seven are subject to Despair. Tough Aliens: both fail, so are subject to Despair. Tough Alien LT: also fails.
-
@FlyingFresh It would be the same number (given the need to place the center where it won't cover any of the others).
-
@FlyingFresh Based on where he is now, I will say he can move to catch 2 of the tough aliens, one of the LTs and 10 of the troopers in the area.

Slipstream Somehow Stormchild seemed to fly high up into the sky of the holographic city, far above the ceiling of the Doom Room. But if she expected to be isolated from any of the enemy, that quickly changed, as two advanced spacecraft dropped down out of the clouds and veered in her direction. Down on the street level, another six of the large red reptilian aliens appeared, again scattered about the intersection. Turning towards one of those new opponents, Slipstream seemed to become slightly less blurred as she quickly closed the distance to deliver another punch. *CRACK* The attack struck the large alien. However, this time, it seemed unfazed by the attack, remaining unmoved as the teenage speedster sped past. Taking a sharp turn, Slipstream ran up the side of another building and again skidding to a halt on the rooftop to try to give herself a bit of cover once more.

Okay, on to: Round Three 27 Slipstream 2 HP (unharmed) 19 Gookgak 3 HP (unharmed) 19 Prime Mover 3 HP (unharmed) 16 Fighters (2 engaging Stomchild) 12 Alien Lts (2 unharmed) 11 Serendipity 5 HP (unharmed) 8 Centuria 2 HP (unharmed) 7 Troopers (20 spread out) 3 Stormchild (unharmed) 2 Tough Aliens (4 remaining) More threats. More of the big aliens, including two that are even tougher. Also, two fighters up in the air to engage Stormchild. Slipstream will change back to her Strike and close with one of the large aliens that appeared: 2 one of the Tough Aliens. She will -2/+2 Power Attack and take 10: DC 25 toughness save: 29, it makes the save and messes up any Takedown. Slipstream will zip up another rooftop. @FlyingFresh Gookgak is up!

Running out of cars But yeah, that will work EP Will say she is able to catch 3 troopers in the path of that car. One makes the reflex saves. Toughness saves (first is the DC 19 save): they all miss, so are knocked out.

Fair Grounds (near Ocean Heights Amusement Park) Port Regal, Freedom City, New Jersey Friday September 27, 2024. 3:00 PM As had been the case for well over a decade, the last full week of September had the fairgrounds near Ocean Heights Amusement Park was host to the Freedom City Renaissance Faire. The faire was spread out across the grounds, with various areas each offering a different experience. At one end of the faire was a mostly open area set up for a number of events and activities that were more physical in nature. This included a jousting list with regularly scheduled jousting exhibitions. There was also an archery and axe throwing range, among other activities. With the faire soon to wrap up at the end of the weekend, Claremont Academy had arranged for students that wished to attend to be excused from their last class of the day and had provided buses to transport the students to the fairgrounds. After the buses arrived at the parking area, the students were free to go where they wished for the next several hours.

The faire was spread out across the grounds, with various areas each offering a different experience. Several seating areas for guests were set up in sections of the square. From time-to-time various performers moved about the open spaces entertaining small groups of guests. Off to one side of the square was a small stage, which was the site for several scheduled performances throughout the day. The faire was spread out across the grounds, with various areas each offering a different experience. One of the areas available was the "Royal Court," a pre-fab structure made to look like a small castle which sat at one end of the fairgrounds. The interior of the building was designed to resemble a throne room, where there were various staff acting out various court functions and interacting with visitors. Lynn Conners had made her way down the main street to the Royal Court, walking along with her roommate Mattie Hooper. Like several guests at the faire, the blonde teen was in costume. In this case it was a dark green dress, with a corset, under which she wore a white blouse with somewhat billowy sleeves and brown leather gloves. The last few weeks since classes had started at Claremont had been a bit of a whirlwind. At times Lynn had almost felt a bit overwhelmed, by things, but had generally managed to keep herself from having a breakdown. Mattie's regular presence had been a big help with that, as well as her weekly counseling sessions. "There it is up ahead." The blonde said to her roommate, noting the small castle ahead of them.

It was a collection of pre-fab buildings designed to resemble European buildings from the Renaissance as well as stalls and carts set up to create an almost maze-like series of alleyways among them. Contained within were various shops that offered all manner of themed goods and gifts, as well as a number of food carts, stalls and even a couple of buildings set up to resemble taverns. GM The members of the Avant Guard near OD seemed as surprised as their leader that the teenage girl now seemed to be about as strong as he was. After Harlequin cast his spell, the members of Avant Guard started to move into action once again. Several moved towards the female speedster and Jack, wielding their stun batons. As one attacked Lynn, Harlequin tried to use the ring of silver liquid to block the attack. But the trickster was a bit too slow in response and the attack hit the teenage girl and his spell was disrupted. Lynn felt the electricity course through her, but again managed to avoid it. The two henchmen that moved on Jack both delivered shocks from their batons to the tall Russian. Another two continued after Harlequin, who danced away with ease. Then another of the Avant Guard tossed a small cylinder into the middle of the room, which exploded in a bright flash. The flash caused all the bystanders to cry out in surprise as they turned away, their eyes filled only with light and stars from the sudden flash. Lynn managed to close her eyes, avoiding the effect completely. The other Avant Guard and OD all seemed unaffected by the flash, the sunglasses worn by the henchmen seemingly helping against the effect.

GM In short order, the various teen heroes had managed to deal with all three of the larger aliens that had appeared, and Riel dropped a pair of the troopers. At one corner, a trio of the alien troopers managed to spot Gookgak as he tried to scuttle behind cover after making his attack. The three holographic opponents opened fire, two hitting the car up above the wheel the Gobylen was behind, the third hitting the pavement right next to Gookgak under the car. Scattered around the intersection, several of the troopers tired to work together in groups of three to target Prime Mover and Stormchild. A barrage of energy weapon fire streaked into the sky. Four different attacks impacted Prime Mover's forcefield, but failed to get past it. Three of the troopers working together managed to miss Stormchild altogether. Two hit from the second group, but again failed to pierce her forcefield. Two of the troopers took aim at Serendipity, but the agile pirate captain easily dodged the two attacks. The remaining aliens tried to shoot at the speeding figure of Slipstream. Most failing to adequately track the speedster. However, two managed to lead their shots enough, but those passed harmlessly through the speedster. "Seems we need to turn it up a bit more." The faculty member indicated over the intercom.

Okay, the troopers turn. One note, I missed that Prime Mover has Impervious 8 on his Forcefield, so he did not get injured before (and I will return the spent HP, as he did not need to roll toughness saves). So, first, 4 of the troopers get opposed Notice checks vs. Gookgak's attempt to hide after attacking: three manage to spot him. So, three will shot at Gookgak (will give you a +4 cover bonus though): 18, 23, 22, so they come close to hitting, but miss. Okay, two groups of 3 will shoot at Prime Mover (combining fire): Group 1: 24, 11, 23 two hit, not enough to get past his Impervious. Group 2: 22, 22, 14, again, only two hit, so Impervious stops the other two. Another two groups of 3 will shoot at Stormchild: Group 1: they all miss Group 2: 12, 18, 16 again, only two hits (and the lead missed), so does not get past Impervious. Two troopers will shoot at Serendipity: 13 and 18, both missing. The last six will shoot at Slipstream. Not going to bother with rolls, as she is Insubstantial. Will say a couple pass harmlessly through her and the others miss. @EternalPhoenix Stormchild is up!
-
Yeah, that was a tough first roll. @Jack Need two DC 15 Fort saves. Slipstream's DC 15 Fort Save: 18
-
That hits. and it manages to fail the save, so it is down as well!
-
Okay, the minions will move to attack. A pair will go after both Slipstream and Arctus: Slipstream: 18 and 25 so one miss and one hit; @Kaede Kimura go ahead with the deflect check. Arctus: 19 and 17, which I believe are both hits @Kaede Kimura go ahead with the deflect checks (assuming you don't miss the first above). (@Jack depending on the rolls you might need to make 1 or 2 DC 20 Fort Saves) Then two will go after Harlequin: 12 and 11 (their aim is not getting any better). One of the others will then toss a flashbang! @Kaede Kimura @Jack DC 15 Reflex for the area effect (to reduce the Relex check to avoid the Dazzle). The second reflex save is either again DC 15 (if you fail the first save), or DC 12 if you make it. 6 Avant Guard, OD and Renoir are all caught in the dazzle: Avant Guard: First Reflex save: only 2 make it. Second Reflex save (they have +4 due to the sensory shield sunglasses) (last 2 have DC 12 on the check): they are all fine OD: First Reflex save: 16, so reduces second to 12 (he no longer has his sensory shield power as Lynn drained it): 23 so he is fine. Renoir: First check: 18 so DC 12 on second (again with +4): 24, also fine. Slipstream: First Save: 16, so she avoids completely with Evasion.

They both fail. @Tiffany Korta Centuria is up next
-
@EternalPhoenix Yes, there is a pair near that you could target for Takedown.
-
@EternalPhoenix There are a number of troopers in multiple directions.
