Velocity Megan watched as the Lighthouse’s doctor did his best to answer Artificers questions, thankful, as she often was, for the League's staff that were able to field the questions she could not and everything else they did. At Ghost's question, the speedster gave a small nod. "Oh yes, Daedalus has always been very meticulous about such things. There are hard copies in the vault down in Freedom Hall, and up here you would be able to access the full schematics for everything in the station at a terminal for League members. The staff have somewhat more limited access, primarily for the systems they work with, with a few that are authorized for wider access." When Artificer finished his questions, the speedster led the pair out of the infirmary and down the hallway to where another hall branched off to their right, leading towards the center of the floor. "Nothing but more living quarters around the other half of the station, so we can make our way up." She stated, leading the other two down the side hallway. Located at the center of the station was a bank of elevators, as well as a stairwell, the hall continuing towards the opposite end of the floor on the other side of the elevators. "The elevators and stairs both provide access to all fifteen floors of the station, though the stairs tend not to get much use, other than by me." Megan said with a small grin. "Though, when the station was under attack by the Communion, we were using them to quickly get to where the boarding parties where, particularly when main power was cut, which also shut of the artificial gravity." Turning towards the other two, particularly focusing on Artificer, she continued, "so, the next level up is more living areas and the cafeteria, so, unless you are particularly interested in some slightly more advanced kitchen appliances, we can probably skip it and just take an elevators up to the third level to continue."

GM Lifting off from the landing pad, the Xeno gracefully took to the dark skies above Ferrum II and reaching higher elevations as Starshot put the vessel into cruising speed. Far below them, the two occupants of the yacht's cockpit could just make out the dark outlines of the vast fields of solar collectors, which would soon be visited by the collection drones that were starting the nightly collection around where they had just departed. In short time, the two could see the dark outline of a mountain range ahead, jutting up from the field of solar collectors. Based on the sensor readings, the range stretched for well over a thousand kilometers, roughly north to south across the barren landscape of the world. When they reached a few hundred kilometers away, the advanced sensors of the Xeno detected several large shapes moving about a section of the range. There appeared to be about half a dozen Sarcota active and moving about the area.

Timeout Lawrence had a slight smile of satisfaction as he managed to lock up all three of the Starblights with his opening play. The two female Starblights were significantly hampered, and while FX was not as effected, he was still unable to respond. And then Baz leapt into action. The radioactive teen was clearly angry, and Lawrence could well understand why, and he did not hold back when he cut loose on the Starblights, bathing the area in green radiation. So far the two Claremont teens had things under control, but Lawrence knew that could change in a moment, so he had to keep their opponents locked down until Mizuki arrived and the numbers were even. Still remining where he had been at the start of the fight, the blond teen raised one hand again, sending out another burst of temporal energy, only this time, trying to freeze his opponents in time. As before, the distortion resonated out from him in all directions, but harmless washed over Baz and anything that was not a Starblight.

Wanted to add, in case this was what you were asking, there is nothing about the mental link that would cause them to suffer any mechanical negative result from the other being harmed.

Velocity North Bay Freedom City, New Jersey Approximately 3:52 AM local time Megan Howell-Harrow woke with a start at the sound of an alarm from the nightstand beside her, adrenaline coursing through her helping to push away the disorientation of being woken up in the middle of the night. In a movement faster than most could see, she snatched up a tablet from the nightstand and sat up as she looked down at the screen as her husband began stirring beside her. "What is it?" Robert Harrow asked rather groggily as he partially sat up in the bed to look over at Megan. Even in his half-asleep state, Robert's distinct British accent (far more pronounced than Lawrence's) was hard to miss. "Proximity sensor along the fence in Fiji." Megan stated as she scrolled through the feed from the security system on the island. "Probably just an animal, or one of Lawrence's friends." Robert stated. Megan was quite as she scrolled through various camera feeds from along the fence line. "Maybe. Only one camera had an angle on it, but I cannot really see what it was." Megan stated with a frown as she selected other data coming from the system. Yawning and sitting fully upright, Robert tried to look over her shoulder. "Anything seem unusual around the house?" "Heat signatures show they are mostly gathered on the deck or down at the beach." Megan stated. Setting down the table, she began to climb out of bed. "I will go check things out to make sure everything is okay." A frown came to Robert's face, although it was difficult to see in the dim light. "We promised Lawrence we would give him and his friends some space. I would remind you, that we agreed to this trip in part because you did not want to feel like a hypocrite given some of the things you were up to at that age." Megan had vanished in a blur and a moment later was standing back at the foot of the bed in her Velocity costume. "That was a bit different. I did not have several cosmic entities after me like Lawrence does." "That you know of." Robert pointed out. Megan gave her husband a small smirk. "I will stay outside the fence, just check the area where the alarm was tripped and then do a box search outside the fence." "Of how large an area?" Robert quickly asked. "Just the rest of the island." Megan responded. Even in the dim light, she knew full well what sort of expression was on Robert's face. "Fine, just a square mile or so outside. If there is no clear indication that anything is wrong, I won’t go into the compound, and certainly not anywhere near the house or beach." Letting out a small sigh as he realized there was no point in trying to further dissuade her, Robert asked, "and do you want me to do anything?" "Keep an eye on the heat signatures, let me know if there are any changes that suggest they may be in trouble. And if you don't hear back from me in the next five minutes, call Stesha and let her know what is going on." Megan replied as she half climbed onto the bed and gave her husband a kiss. "I will be back before you know it." *WOOSH* Megan was gone from her bedroom in a blur and a rush of air, and in moments was speeding through North Bay and then out onto the water of the Great Bay. Once away from shore, the speedster kicked her speed in full gear, as she went hypersonic, breaking the sound barrier with a loud crack and boom. Given the speeds she was going, she chose to stay out over the water, heading south down the Atlantic coast, around the tip of Florida, through the Gulf of Mexico and then across the narrowest part of Mexico near the Yucatan Peninsula and then the across the Pacific Ocean to Fiji. All said, it took her about six seconds to cover the approximately 8,300 miles her route had taken her. As she entered the warm sunny climate and saw Wakaya Island ahead, the speedster slowed down to just over supersonic speed, veering to the island on a route that would not take her near the compound where her son and his friends were currently gathered. It was only a few seconds later that she was over near the fence where the sensor had been triggered. Megan scanned the area, not even having to turn her head to do so as her goggles fed her images from all around her. Not seeing any sign of an intruder or anyone else trying to get into the compound, she started off in a yellow blur, beginning a box search of the area at superspeed. Moments later she had spotted a figure ahead, up in one of the trees, but as her goggles zoomed in, she recognized the figure as one of the Claremont students she had seen at the League holiday party and met in the aftermath of the chaotic events that had occurred earlier in the week on Valentine's Day. Letting out a sigh of relief, Megan slowed down as she zipped over near the tree, skidding to a halt as she looked up at Carmen. "Hi, your La Puma Negra right? I take it you jumped over the fence back there a couple minutes ago?"

Okay, Timeout will switch his array to Time Freeze (the similarly sized burst area Paralyze 10 (Will save)). He gets a 17 on the attack roll against them for this. If that hits, DC 20 Will saves. If they fail by 1-4, they are slowed (-1 to attack rolls, defense and reflex saves), if they fail by 5 or more they are paralyzed (and helpless an unable to move or take actions). As with the stun, the get a new save each round, +1 each round after the first.

GM Sampson's Sodas It was just after Michael managed to finally ask Carmen the question that has been somehow eluding him for nearly two months (and she had said yes) that the moment was interrupted as a faint *BOOM* echoed outside, rattling the windows of the soda shop. All of the conversations that had been going on suddenly came to a stop, as the other teens in the shop looked toward the windows, trying to see what might be going on outside. Through the windows could be seen several people on the sidewalk seemed to be looking towards the left with concern and in some cases outright fear. With her more sensitive hearing, Carmen could hear the faint sound of car alarms in the distance and what sounded like people screaming in panic…. At the park Jean was enjoying the late afternoon when the peace and quite was broken by a loud *BOOM* which echoed from somewhere else in the area. The few others in the park or on a nearby sidewalk had all stopped, looking around with concern, trying to determine where the sound had come from. Glancing around, Jean was able to spot what she was pretty sure was the source. Off to the right, looking to be about six or seven blocks away, was a rising column of black smoke…..

Timeout Lawrence was watching FX closely, despite seeming bored by him and spotted two teenage girls approaching. "Good evening, ladies, so nice of you to join us. I sincerely hope you are whitter conversation than your friend here." He called out to them, a charming smile on his face. He then saw FX tensing, ready to act and the blond teen was surrounded by a ripple do temporal energy as he accelerates himself, letting out a small sigh. "Alright then." He said simply, raising up both hands as a temporal distortion burst out from him in all directions. However, Lawrence only focused the distortion on the three Starblights in front of him, the temporal wave crashing into each of them, as it harmlessly washed around Baz and everything else in the area.

Okay, having confirmed they are all within 250' of him, Timeout won't bother to move, and will use Time Sedation (Stun 10 effect), a targeted burst area (that is selective, so only targeting the three Starblights). And, only gets a 13, so will use another HP for a reroll, getting a 25 (almost a crit). So, DC 20 Will save vs the Stun.

Multi-Girl "Vinyl does sound better." Bernadette said simply as she lay back on her chair under the warm sun. Her duplicate had also finished with the sunscreen and had laid down as well. "We are lookin' inta what it might take ta have vinyl copies of any albums made, would like it ta be on demand, but might have to opt for a limited run or somethin.' In the meantime, we do have some posters an’ T-shirts if ya want any." Looking up slightly as Michael thanked her for what he perceived as a compliment the redhead gave a small smile. The Irish teen had not exactly meant it as a compliment, as while Charlie had a lot of good traits, his tendency to take inquisitiveness into the realm of being rather nosey was not exactly one of them. But she also had to admit that it was useful at times as well. Bernadette's smile widened as her former roommate came over to join the little group that was forming near the pool. "Hey Rosalind. Planin' ta grab a chair an' relax in the sun fer a bit?"

Rai Ki Wai Estate Wakaya Island, Fiji Saturday, February 17, 2024, approximately 9:42 AM local time After having a bit to eat with Michael, Carmen had decided to explore more of the island while the others began either settling in near the pool or started making their way down to the beach. Moving away from the area near the main house, she found the property had several open grass fields, along with well cared for gardens, but then quickly became jungle. A short distance from the buildings and tennis court there was also a helicopter pad. Moving into the jungle, the teen was met with an array of scents, from the various wildflowers and other plants to numerous birds and other small animals. It was certainly reminiscent of Puerto Rico, if different flora and fauna. A short while after stalking through the jungle, Carmen came to a tall fence that seemed to be set up around the property. Beyond it lay more jungle and the higher elevation that was toward the center of the island. Of course, the fence represented little in the way of an obstacle for the teen.

Timeout Lawrence had not gotten very far when Vueriz had come up to him to ask about cold storage. The blond teen stopped and looked down at the small alien as he listened to her. "Cold storage? Yeah, there are refrigerators in the kitchen and a walk-in freezer that is part of the pantry in the main house. I can show you where they are." He said as he turned around and started back towards the house. "Are you okay Vueriz?" He asked, concern evident in his voice as Consuelo came over to ask the other girl if sunbathing was common on her world.

Multi-Girl Bernadette gave Ghule a warm smile at her rather shocked, but gracious response to Charlie's offer of her joining the team. But then the redhead turned to regard Leon, a slight trace of a frown coming to her face. Leon was clearly not ready to forgive Charlie or even make forgiving him easy. She certainly had felt mixed emotions initially when she had learned Charlie was back but had quickly been willing to put it all in the past. The Irish teen watched the exchange as Pol stepped in to stick up for Charlie and Leon was bit harsh with dismissing her. Bernadette did give Muirne a nod in greeting as she arrived but was soon focused on Charlie as he responded to Leon and explained why had disappeared and what he had been up to. While she had decided that she did not need to know what had caused Charlie to leave, she appreciated him offering the explanation, particularly for the others. Stepping back next to Charlie, she took one of his hands in hers. "You know I'm in." She said with a smile before looking back over towards Leon. "After all, if ye are not willin' ta try ta forgive yer friends, where they really yer friends ta begin with?"

Timeout Lawrence grinned as Baz was soon back on his feet and up to his normal antics. As was typically the case, Baz was quick to recover from any setback and just as exuberant and overeager. "Well, learning to swim probably would not be a bad idea Baz." He said as Mzuki began trying to get a gauge on who might have problems with swimming. "I am going to head down to the beach and start getting things out, or we are never going to get set up." The blond teen told her with a small grin, before starting off toward one end of the deck, and the stairs that led down to the hillside below and the path which would lead down to the beach. So far everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, which was exactly what Larwrence had hoped for.

Okay, time to get this sorted. Rot's attack will hit Blur's racer, Blur gets a 15 on his Fort save, so -2 toughness is drained away, and he gets a 9 on his toughness save and it OUT of the race! Widowmaker gets a 17 on his reflex check, so he is not doing well keeping in the race, he will fire his automatic shotgun at Lawrence, getting a 29! Miss chance: 16! Lawrence's time tricks save him again! Incendiary gets a 15 on his reflex check, so is also not keeping up well. He will fire a flame blast after Mizuki, getting a 26. That is a DC 23 toughness save @The Sailor Lawrence gets a 14 on his reflex check, so I will use a HP now and reroll, so he gets a 14 again, but with the +10, is a 24. He will try to hit the last two bad guys with his Stun area effect, getting an 8 which will miss horribly. Okay summary: This stage takes them toward the very heart of City Center, where they follow the round streets at the very heart of the city, past City Hall and Freedom Hall and then head up a diagonal road towards the Wading Way. @Huckleberry Rot takes out the back half of Blur's racer, removing him from the race. She also catches up with Lawrence. They can see Quirk and the little girl up ahead. @The Sailor Sailor is a bit behind Lawrence and Rot, but not far, the two remaining opponents are a bit behind her. Nothing to jump up to at this stage, and no power ups just yet. Lets get some IC posts (Just three more stages to go!)

GM Justicar Vor'an stood quietly off to one side as Rex01 competed his examination and reported his findings. The Justicar showed no outward reaction to the still somewhat suspicious look Galvanic gave him. As Traveller made her comment about the core being slightly off, the Khanate chief engineer, who had seemed slightly unhappy about a Lor engineer examining the power core turned to look at the Praetorian, before giving a somewhat curt reply, "we are working on it." Ambassador Malor was much more enthusiastic about hearing the results of the clone scientist’s findings. "Well, I hope that concerns have been put to rest?" He asked, stepping forward and clasping his hands in front of him. He then stopped and looked at the gathered Praetorians and Lor. "But of course, if there is more you wish to inspect, we are at your service."

Timeout Lawrence could sense that Baz was about to jump into action, FX certainly seemed ready for a fight as well. When the speedster mentioned not being alone, the blond teen just let a condescending smile come to his face. "Well, we are certainly willing to wait until your friends arrive. Figure it is the only way you can win in a fight is to have others there to back you up." Lawernce the slowly lifted one hand as he focused on rubbing his thumb over the fingernails of his bent fingers, giving the impression he was bored of the conversation. "You will find we are much more of a challenge than some paid by the hour security guards."

GM Off on their side of the plaza, the native Thuaruians were talking quietly among themselves, occasionally taking nervous glances at the empty streets around them. Jor’ran Laar was standing near Eclipse and Rock. Laar was an older Lor, very good at diplomacy, but no fighter. During his work to get the two sides to the negotiating table, he had known when it was time for him to follow Eclipse lead as she and Rock tried to get him safely out of some hostile situation or another. The Lor gave Eclipse a small smile. "Perhaps, but they have also known cycles of conflict and are still inclined to be weary of any gathering of those most involved in fighting. But if you are right, then my efforts will have been for naught, and the conflict gripping this world will likely continue on." "But regardless, I am very thankful for you and Rock's efforts in assisting me in trying to bring an end to it."

Timeout Lawrence had given Consuelo a slightly puzzled look when she mentioned a robot girl from the past in her dorm room and then saw Vueriz give him a strange look. Then Parker had steered the discussion towards Lawrence and Consuelo had turned to him to ask about possibly blocking time travelers. The blond teen decided not to correct the green haired girl about some of her misunderstandings she seemed to have about his powers and instead gave her a small smile. "No, I am not from the past." "But to answer the more pressing question, yes, it is possible to set up some safeguards against temporal incursion. But, in my experience, no system is full proof." Lawernce stated. After a moment's pause, he figured it was probably a good idea to more fully explain. "Both of my parents have, at different times, been kidnapped by time travelers and removed from this timestream. That is in addition to a number of other encounters with time travelers. So, when they got engaged and had me, they were very concerned about the threat of time travelers and did what they could to guard against them. With my mom being a member of the Freedom League, they were able to get assistance from Deadalus, Miss Americana and a few others to set up some systems at their homes." "I was ten years old the first time a time traveling entity breached those systems, sending simulacrums resembling my parents to try to kidnap me. It was only because of the two Claremont students who were babysitting me that the attempt failed, but even then, we were transported to a space station twenty-five thousand light years away. It was only due to the intervention of some members of the Praetorians, an intergalactic super team, that the entity was driven off." "Needless to say, when we got back to Earth, my parents had Deadalus and Miss Americana work to strengthen those systems. But two years later, Quirk showed up for the first time, bypassing them as if they were not even there. I was under the impression that at the start of the school year, similar systems were added to the already extensive countermeasures around the school." "Obviously, still was no deterrent for Quirk last month."

Multi-Girl Bernadette's duplicate was a bit amazed to see that the green skinned woman appeared to have fully healed from Ruin’s attack, but was very glad to see it. "If you have any ideas for sendin' this nutcase back ta where she came from, that would be great." She said, making sure the staff member was alright, then running back into the lab to see what she might be able to do to help. The original Bernadette watched the exchange between Rot and Ruin and how Rot appeared completely unaffected by Ruin's powers. Something that might well be the case the other way as well. Seeing as Ruin seemed unfazed by her punch, the redhead figure perhaps she could restrain her, and rushed forward to try to grapple the purple-haired girl. But Ruin was too quick and managed to pull back from the Irish teen.
