Okay, Mult-Girl is going to run in to try to initiate a grapple, and not going to happen with an attack roll of 12. The duplicate will make sure the staff person gets clear and then come back in the room to see what is going on.

Multi-Girl Michael glided down near Bernadette just as her duplicate had reemerged from the main house. The duplicate had a towel draped over one shoulder, and was holding another towel in her right hand. In her left hand, the duplicate was carrying two water bottles that appeared to be chilled. As she drew near, the duplicate tossed the towel in her right hand at the original Bernadette, who caught it without looking up. Setting the towel down beside her, the original Bernadette looked up at Michael, pausing a moment at his question about Charlie not being there. She then chuckled and smiled. "I suppose ya got his name from lookin' through some old yearbooks." She said with a smile. "A very Charlie thing ta do." Added the duplicate, who was now just in her bikini as well. "But anyway, Charlie tends ta have a lot o' 'projects' in tha works, so was too busy. Probably fer the best really." The original continued. "We likely have been seein' a bit too much o' each other since the start o' the year. A weekend apart is probably a good thing." Bernadette paused, and then tossed the bottle of sunscreen over one shoulder, where the duplicate behind her easily caught it and began applying some as well. "Hey ‘Suelo." The two Bernadette’s said in unison at the arrival of the green haired girl. "As fer how I am," the original Irish teen continued as she spread out the towel on the chair and laid down on her back, "right now, bleedin' knackered. Currently runnin' on less than three hours o' sleep. Had a gig last night, we were the last act (an' it was packed by the time we took the stage). We didn' finish until after midnight. Then I went out fer a bit with the rest o' the band, and then went ta see Charlie. Didn' get back ta the dorms until after five this mornin'." "So, the plan is ta just relax a bit an' get some sun. Maybe take a short nap." Chimed in the duplicate who was still applying sunscreen. "Don' worry, not planin' ta sleep the day away." The original said with a grin. "In an' hour or so I will hunt down some coffee, an' then the fun will really begin." She paused slightly as she let out a yawn. "As ta yer last question, we have not really put together an' album yet, but we do have several tracks on Spotify or similar platforms for download. If there are any yer interested in, let me know an' I can get ya copies. When we do get an album together, I will be shoor ta get ya a copy." There were a number of other things in the works for her band, but at the moment Bernadette was not at liberty to talk about them.

Multi-Girl Bernadette gave Charlie a small smirk as he mentioned his disappearing for over a year, but did not say anything more. She had been very clear to him at the League’s holiday party, she was putting that in the past and did not need to know anything about why it had happened. "Hey Ghule." She said with a wide smile and small wave to the other girl, before looking over as Shift revealed herself and came over, the group quickly joined by Luke. "Hey Shift, Luke." As Charlie finished his little speech, the redhead walked up to stand next to him facing Ghule. "He can be really nosey, but he can' quite help it." She said, giving Charlie a little hip check. "But puttin' that aside, it's not every day ya find someone throw inta tha middle o' a chaotic situation like the other night an' is ready ta step up ta do somethin' about it. Even though we had just met, I felt ya had me back in the middle o' all that, so hopin' ta return the favor."

Timeout Lawrence gave Consuelo a small smile as she commented about how this was the best place so far that she had gotten teleported to by being around him. He of course did not mention that this had not been a random teleportation, feeling it was best to just accept the compliment. "Your welcome Conseulo, though, it is still early in the morning, going to get even warmer before the end of the day." He replied with a smile. "And we do have plenty of snorkeling gear which we can get out and down at the beach." Glancing around to see others staring to settle in (and noting Michael and Carmen walking hand in hand into the main building towards the kitchen), the blond teen disappeared in the temporal distortion that indicated he was using his powers. A few moments latter reappeared again, this time without his bag (presumably dropped off at the bungalows he had mentioned). Looking at Mizuki once she had gotten back up from checking Baz, he gave her a smile. "Did you want to drop anything off in the main house before we head down to the beach to start setting things up?"

Timeout "Yeah, they have been on me all through Kingston." Lawrence replied with a bit of humor in his tone. The blond teen continued to drive somewhat erratically, making himself a harder target to hit. The maneuvering caused one of the Omegadrones to wildly miss. However, he just barely dodged the other, the blast impacting beside him, causing Lawrence to briefly lose control of his racer and by the time he had regained full control, he had slowed down a bit, as Consuelo and Mizuki managed to close the distance with him. As the three teens came to the end of the bridge and into the City Center, the Omegadrones broke off their pursuit, turning back towards Kingston. The Koopas choose to fall back as well. As they did, the last of Mizuki's invulnerability faded away. Then the three teens hear Quirk's voice once more. “Well, so far so good. Maybe time to make things more interesting, how about some opponents you are at least familiar with some of your training sessions.” The sound of revving motors sounded to the side of the course and three new racers came pulling onto the course near the three teens. And sure enough, they recognized them from one of the Doom Room training sessions toward the start of the year, Blur, Widowmaker and Incendiary….

Timeout Lawrence had been calm and relaxed as he and Baz had walked up to the amusement park. He continued to scan the area to make sure he had not missed anything important when scoping the place out from the hill. Soon enough, the speedster had come out to meet them, sending off what could well be some sort of signal, but Lawrence’s overall demeanor did not change as he regarding the speedster. "Sentry Aries huh? FX sounds way better." He said rather dryly in response to the teen’s introduction. As he spoke, Lawrence leaned into his upper-class British accent. "I'm Timeout, this is Gamma Buzz." When the speedster insulted Baz and then Lawrence, the blond teen's expression barely changed, and he still remained relaxed. "Do this to him?" Lawrence asked at FX's question of whether he had muted Baz. "He's my best friend because he looks like this and has killer radiation powers to go with it." Lawrence's expression changed to one that was almost dismissive of FX. "You know, Gamma wanted to come down here and see how tough the people who took over the park were. But I told him that we should maybe talk to them first, after all, they might be cool, even if they had only had to beat up some rent-a-cops to take control of the park. Gotta say, a bit disappointed. Maybe I should just let him have his fun."

Velocity Velocity had begun to lead the way out of the room housing the teleporter pad as Ghost and Artificer began responding to her question about where to head next. The speedster was managing to stay at normal speeds as they went, rather unlike she had been when moving around during the holiday party most of the time. "Sure." She replied with a smile. Leading them out into what turned out to be a circular hallway, branching off to both the left and the right as it curved inward. The outer wall had large windows, through which the blue and green surface of Earth could be seen below. Velocity let them off to the right and they went around until the door to the teleporter was out of sight and then came to another door. Inside they found themselves in a medium-sized white room, with several desk stations with various monitors and computers. A couple of technicians were present, Velocity giving them a small nod as she led the other two in. Along the right side of the room were four doors, each next to a window that looked into what appeared to be a recovery room, with beds and various medical equipment. Currently all four of the rooms are empty. Another pair of doors, one closer to the entrance to the infirmary, the other further back, were along the left side of the room. "So, off the right are recovery rooms, thankfully all empty at the moment." Velocity said as she turned to face Ghost and Artificer. "The doors to the left lead to hallways to examination rooms and surgical suits, most of which have been outfitted with technology Deadalus brought back from the Lor Republic. The techs here can give you more specifics than I can."

Timeout Lawrence gave Mizuki a slightly questioning look as she suggested he take Baz with him to go and try to talk with the three troublemakers and somehow try to be calm and not act like they were there to fight. Baz quickly emphasized that point with his typically exuberant comments about leaping into action and using his radiation. The blond teen looked to his roommate with a smile and simply said, "Gamma, no leaping, no radiation, at least not yet. Just keep calm and follow my lead, and let me do most of the talking." He then started down the hill towards the entrance to the amusement park, putting on the domino mask he had in his coat pocket on as he went.

Rai Ki Wai Estate Wakaya Island, Fiji Saturday, February 17, 2024, 9:00 AM local time Bernadette O'Connell had been one of the last ones to arrive at the Main Quad for Lawrence to provide the means of traveling to Fiji. The Irish teen was wearing a black T-shirt with her band’s logo on it, a pair of cut-off jeans shorts and sandals. Her long red hair was currently pulled back into a ponytail, and she was already wearing a pair of sunglasses. Over one shoulder she had a small bag and was carrying a larger duffle bag in one hand. The redhead was pretty quiet and more subdued than normal. Last night her band had performed at a local club and after which she had gone out for a bit with her bandmates. After that she had gone to see Charlie, given she was going to be spending most of the weekend out of the country, so she was presently operating on only a couple hours of sleep. Added to that was that while she had not drunk much alcohol last night, with only a few hours sleep, she was still feeling it some. As she stepped through the portal created by Lawrence, the eighteen-year-old was somewhat reminded of when she had been briefly transported to another dimension during summer break. As crazy as that had been, it had also directly led to her and Summer Sands deciding to start their band, and how she had inadvertently ended up with Trebel, the singing fish that occupied a small tank in her dorm room. The redhead looked around at the sprawling compound and the ocean beyond as she adjusted to the suddenly sunnier environment, only half listening to Lawrence's quick orientation. Coming from a blue-collar family of Irish immigrants, this was far posher than she was accustomed to, even considering how much time she had been spending over the past few weeks at the mansion that now served as the Young Guardian's base of operations. Shaking her head slightly to clear it, Bernadette held out the duffle bag she was holding as a duplicate appeared beside her. "Ya know, I am just as tired as you are." The duplicate grumbled quietly as she took the bag. "Then bloody drop it off somewhere in tha house an' come back out ta take a nap as well." Bernadette replied with a smirk as she walked over towards one of the lounge chairs scattered around the massive deck. Dropping her small bag down next to the chair, the redhead pulled off her T-shirt, revealing a colorful bikini top underneath. Her jeans shorts followed to reveal the matching bikini bottom. Sitting down on the chair, Bernadette removed a small chain with a cross from around her neck and reached down to drop it into her bag and pull out a large bottle of sunscreen, which she began to apply.

Sri Kath'lana Kath'lana gave a small smile at Cavalier's comment to her about visual confirmation being a good start. She then stood quietly as J'onn accelerated the Star Lance and veered towards the asteroid. It was not long before the Sar Lance had arrived near the asteroid, which was approximately 100km in diameter. From what they could see through the main viewport, it seemed very much to be what the astronomer who spotted it had believed, a massive hunk of rock. However, that confirmation did not rule out many of the other concerns raised by Cavalier. "Does the Star Lance have remote piloting capability?" Kath'lana asked as she looked over to J'onn. "We probably need to get out there and down onto the asteroid to truly make confirmation that there is nothing to be concerned about. Or do you want to stay aboard and nearby?"

Multi-Girl Bernadette chuckled slightly at Shift's enthusiasm and merging the vest and laser gun into herself, which Charlie promptly asked her to reverse, given they wanted to keep this rather low key. As Ghule arrived, the Irish teen gave her a smile and a nod in greeting. The newest member of the team had a bit of an edge to her, but then several of them did to some degree, but she was someone you could count on in a fight. When discussion about how they were going to divide up into teams began and Ghule quickly linked arms with her, Bernadette responded by locking her arm with Ghule while giving Charlie a smirk and a small shrug. "That sounds like a good plan ta me." She said with a smile. When Luke agreed and added some trash talk, the redhead gave him a grin. "Oh, we'll see how it goes, some o' us are bigger targets than others." As if to prove her point, she casually held her compact laser gun sideways across her body and fired a shot that set off Luke's vest.

Well, you can approach more leisurely but yeah, same planet.

No problem, only thing where the Sarcota are is just within the same hemisphere as where Starshot and Dok currently are, and you cannot use FTL in atmosphere, will just be a travel using normal Flight.

Timeout With the security guard in good hands, Lawrence was able to focus on the potential threat in the amusement park. As the three teens stopped on a nearby hill, the blond teen spent a bit of time carefully studying various parts of the amusement park, something made easier by his rather unique relationship with time. "Well, there is a speedster running around tagging the place with graffiti and destroying things." He told the other two after a minute or so. "There are two others, currently on the teacup ride but cannot make up much about them at the moment." Lawrence looked back to Mizuki and Baz. "So, I am not exactly the stealthiest person either. I could just head down there and try to talk with them, act as a distraction as you two try to move in more quietly."

Timeout Lawrence turned to Mizuki with a grin as she mentioned an inflatable raft to set up as a floating dock. "That sounds great Mizuki, thought shouldn’t be too much trouble to anchor, there is a reef about fifty meters out and it is fairly shallow between there and the shore, the deepest being fifteen to twenty feet deep. If you wanted to go put bags in the house, I can show you the way down." The blond teen looked over to Parker as the other teen asked about the improved range of his portal. "Just practice increasing the range. Last weekend I used one to go back to my father's family home in England and have tea with my grandmother." Lawrence replied, before Parker was distracted by Baz's antics in the pool.

@Poncho So, as they pull up towards wherever the EMTs are, Lawrence is going to try to spend a bit of time Taking 20 on Notice checks to scan parts of the amusement park. Taking 20 on Notice normally takes 1 minute, and Quickness allows you to do anything that you can Take 20 on faster, Lawrence is x50 faster, so just over a second for a Take 20 Notice check (which is 28 for him).

Rai Ki Wai Estate Wakaya Island, Fiji Saturday, February 17, 2024, 9:00 AM local time With the recent cold weather and just all the various pressures from school and other things, Lawrence Harrow had figured a change of scenery was in order, someplace warm and sunny. Which, of course made him think about a weekend trip to his parent’s estate on a private island in Fiji. Naturally, a weekend in the South Pacific would not be nearly as much fun alone, so he had invited several of his friends and other Claremont students he had gotten to know best during the first half of the year. So, plans had been made for a weekend there during the third weekend in February. And so, the group of teens had gathered in the main quad at the start of the weekend with their bags, still not entirely sure how they were going to make the trip to the South Pacific in just a weekend (never mind getting back). Once everyone had been gathered, Lawrence provided the answer, as he created a temporal portal and led everyone into it. After stepping through, the blond teen found himself in the familiar setting of the large balcony next to the pool at his parents' compound. Stepping away from the portal to make room for everyone else to come through, the teen turned and looked back with a wide smile. Lawrence was dressed in a pair of board shorts and a T-shirt, with aviator sunglasses. "Welcome to Fiji!" He said as everyone stepped through, and he closed the portal behind them and then gestured around them. The air was already at least a warm seventy degrees and getting humid. The groups of teens were standing on a massive wooden deck, with several small tables and chairs scattered around it. Palm trees and other plants were part of the landscaping around the deck, and a long pool stretched along one side of the deck, separating it from a large, two-story building. The upper floor of the building had a covered balcony that stretched around the visible exterior. Off to one side, a smaller building was connected to the first by a covered walkway. All in all, it looked like a high-end resort. The other side of the deck, opposite the pool and large building, ended at a railing, that overlooked a hillside that went down from the deck into jungle below. A little way down the hill was the ocean, clear blue waters that stretched out as far as could be seen, with several other islands visible nearby. "So, this is obviously the deck and pool." Lawrence said before looking toward the house. "Ladies, as arranged, tonight you all have the main house pavilion and the two guest suite pavilions on the opposite side." He said, pointing towards the large two-story building near them. "The boys and I will crash in the three bungalows that are just a little way down that path," he said pointing off to his left while facing the main house. Turning again to point to the right of the main house, toward the smaller building connected by the covered walkway. "As my parents requested, please stay out of the master bedroom pavilion. And, please try not to mess with any of the security systems, if those get set off, my mom will be here in like two seconds." The blond teen then turned and walked over towards the railing of the balcony. "Down below is a tennis court, which is lighted if anyone wants to keep playing tonight. Down the hill is a private beach, and we have windsurfers, boogie boards and surf boards and other water stuff stored down near there." Turning away, he faced the group once more. "The staff should not be bothering us this weekend but have stocked up the kitchen with plenty of premade food and stuff for us to cook on the grill out here. So, we are all set."

Riverside Freedom City, New Jersey Wednesday, February 14, 2024, 4:54 PM Seeing that it was Valentine's Day, Sampson’s Sodas had been pretty busy since the local middle school had gotten out. It would continue into the evening with high school students from the area and beyond. Once classes had finished for the day at Claremont, Michael Adon had hurried to start his shift at the store, now nearing the end of the first hour. Currently, all the seating at the raised tables along the front windows were full, as were most of the booths along the interior walls. But for the moment, there were no pending orders that needed to be filled, so Michael was able to catch his breath. This gave him a chance to go over and talk to one of the few individuals sitting on the barstool seating along the counter that ran towards the back of the store. Seated furthest from the door was one of his fellow Claremont students, Carmen Arrache, who arrived at the store just a short time ago. Carmen had finally decided to take Michael up on his offer of a discount at the soda shop and come out to see him during his shift. Elsewhere in Riverside…. Jean Dweomer was currently sitting on a bench at one of the small park areas that were scattered throughout Riverside. Dressed in civilian clothes, the Anthro-fox certainly attracted a few stares, but this was Freedom City, so they were often brief. The small playground in the park was currently empty, with any of the kids that would be interested likely home and having dinner. At least a few couples had walked through or by the park since Jean had sat down on the bench, seemingly on their way to one or more of the restaurants, art stores or other venues in the area.

Bayview Freedom City, New Jersey February 14, 2024 4:00 PM A few blocks away from Bayview Mall was an old, converted warehouse that now housed a laser tag arena known as Crossfire. It offered its customers an opportunity to experience laser tag in a more realistic, tactical environment than the run-of-the-mill laser tag experience. The majority of the old warehouse space had been converted into a large area, filled with all sorts of realistic obstacles, from old vehicles to sandbag walls, stacked tires and more. It was here that Charlie had told the rest of the Guardians to meet up this afternoon for a chance to have a bit of fun and practice teamwork at the same time. After finishing classes for the day at Claremont, Bernadette had quickly headed back to her dorm room to drop of her books and change before catching a shuttle from the campus down to Bayview Mall. The redheaded teen was wearing a pair of black jeans and dark grey long-sleeve T-shirt. Over that she had put on the laser tag tactical vest (which included the sensors to record hits) as she and the others finished getting ready for their time slot in the arena. Looking at some of the rather realistic looking laser tag guns, Bernadette finally settled on one, a small gun that was modeled to look like a compact sub-machine gun. Lifting it up in one hand, she glanced over at some of her teammates. "I think this is tha one fer me." She said with a grin.

High Earth orbit The Lighthouse February 14, 2024 8:30 PM UTC (Greenwich Mean Time) / 3:30 PM Freedom City, New Jersey A request had come to the Freedom League from the Atlantean royal family, asking them to allow rather recent Claremont graduate Heroditus Stylianos the opportunity to examine some of the technology used in the Lighthouse. Given the close connections and long history between the League and the royal family, the request had of course been granted and arrangements made for a tour. While coordinating the tour, Velocity had realized that although Ghost, the most recent member of the team, had joined a couple years earlier, he had not really had the full orientation on operations on the Lighthouse. Deciding to take the opportunity to take care of both things at once, the speedster had arranged for the two to meet her at Freedom Hall so they could teleport up to the space station. "And welcome to the Lighthouse." Velocity said with a smile as she appeared on the Lighthouse's teleportation pad along with Heroditus and Ghost. The yellow clad speedster gave a wave to the technician manning the controls for the teleporter as she stepped off the pad. "We are currently located on deck five, which also houses the infirmary." Glancing back to the other two, she continued, "So, up to you if you want to work our way up to the command center before starting in on the lower levels or start up at the top and just work our way down."

They actually do (there are people inside the armor). It gets a 19 on the Fort Save, and 21 on the toughness save, so takes a bruise, but I will say it disrupts its chance to attack you again. Okay, RK 1 rolls to catch up, getting a 24 RK 2 gets a 19, so Mizuki rams into it and knocks it off course and away from Consuelo as she flies up to attack the omegadrone. Lawrence makes his reflex check, only getting a 14, tempted to use a HP, but will save them for now. He will again take the Dodge action (so +4 defense), but loses some ground as everyone else gains some ground in catching up to him. Omegadrones attacking Koopas: 26 and 21, so both hit: Koopa toughness saves: 24 and 8, so RK 2 is taken out by an omegadrone! Omegadrones attacking Timeout: 16 and 22 both miss (the second just barely) Omegadrones attacking Mizuki: 26 and 12 so one hit, but she is INVICIBLE (last stage for that) Okay, summary: @Huckleberry Consuelo flies up and punches the drone, hurts it, but does not take it out, but disrupts its attack. She does not have any other issues, as Mizuki took care of the Koopa that was trying to ram her racer. @The Sailor Mizuki rams into the Koopa that was going after Consuelo. She is attacked by two Omega drones, one hits, but she is fine due to her power up. They both are catching up a bit with Lawrence, as they travel through the rest of Kingston, across the short bridge, and now will be entering the City Center. Time for IC posts!
