@Lone_Star Yep, it fails its toughness save, so is sent flying backward and through a wall before disappearing. @EternalPhoenix Riel is up!
-
@Kaede Kimura Yes, that will allow you to deflect attacks against both Lynn and Jack, as well as yourself. A 25' radius illusion would cover most of the main room the fight is taking place in.
-
@Lone_Star You are up!

@FlyingFresh Unfortunately, a 15 will not hit the Tough Alien (needs a 16). Next round he can make an attack roll thanks to Homing to try to hit it again. But would need to make the attack roll as you cannot change the power attack shift, which will remain on the homing attack. Got it for the hiding after the attack, will note that for when they try to spot you later.

Slipstream As Stormchild's hailstorm removed another three of the alien troopers, there were flickers around the holographic battlefield as nearly two dozen more opponents appeared. About twenty of them were more of the alien troopers that had appeared before. About half of them were scattered on the roofs of nearby buildings overlooking the streets, the others down on street level. There were three additional new threats, three large reptilian aliens with red scales and tusks. Each had a large energy weapon and either a massive sword or battle axe. Two of these over seven-foot-tall opponents were down on the street level, the third appeared on the roof near Slipstream. Lynn was instantly aware of the new threat, her goggles providing her a full view of the area around her. In a blur of motion, she was over next to the new threat, delivering another supersonic punch. *CRACK* The blow staggered the large opponent backward before it started falling to the rooftop unconscious. But the teenage speedster was already moving, running back down the side of the building and onto the street once more. As she went, she began vibrating, making her even more of a blur than she already was. The blonde teen began zipping back and forth around the intersection and sides streets, moving around the various opponents scattered about them. "Going to have to shoot straighter than that if you want to hit me." She called out, hoping she might draw some of the fire from the opponents away from her classmates.

Okay, this moves us on to: Round Two 27 Slipstream 2 HP (unharmed) 19 Gookgak 3 HP (unharmed) 19 Prime Mover 2 HP (bruised) 11 Serendipity 5 HP (unharmed) 8 Centuria 2 HP (unharmed) 7 Troopers (25 spread out) 3 Stormchild (unharmed) 2 Tough Aliens (three minions) Between the rounds, the faculty added more opponents, another 20 of the troopers (somewhat spaced out, but still in a few clusters) and three larger aliens, one up on the roof near Slipstream, the other two down on the streets. Slipstream will punch the large alien that just appeared up near her (Take 10 to hit with a -2/+2 Power Attack): DC: 25 toughness save: the alien only gets a 17, so is knocked out. She will then run back down to the street level and change her superspeed array to Insubstantial 4 (but not using the Concealment) and start zipping around the area trying to draw the attention of as many of the bad guys as she can. @FlyingFresh You are up next!
-
Okay, two make the reflex check for reduced damage. So toughness saves (last two are at the DC 19 level): two make their saves (interestingly the ones facing full damage, lol). So three go down.
-
@EternalPhoenix No, she is not flat-footed. and I will say she had a chance to get her forcefield up as things started and before the bad guys appeared, so yes, bounces off her Impervious.

GM Most of the superpowered teens went right into action. Gookgak's shot took down the alien that he had targeted, even as the Gobbelyn slid under one of the cars along the street. Prime Mover's telekinetic blast exploded windows on both sides of the street the teen targeted and damaged another parked car. It also took out the five aliens gathered on that street. Serendipity also dispatched an opponent, before disappearing from view. Finally Centuria hefted a third car to toss at the two nearest enemy, knocking the both out of the fight. "It would seem we have started a bit low. We will have to dial up the difficulty a bit." Came the faculty member's voice from the speaker. The remaining eight holographic enemies then acted, spreading out to avoid being grouped together as they took aim at the four visible teens. Two had moved back to get a partial angle on Slipstream up on the rooftop, lifting their blasters and opening fire. One of the energy beams struck the side of the building, the other passed just over the speedster’s head. Another two aimed up into the air, firing at Prime Mover, both hitting their target. A third pair turned and fired on Cenuria, both missing the teen. Although one just missed her by inches. The final pair turned their attention on Stormchild as they opened fire. The teen dodged the first energy last, but the second struck her on the side.

Okay, 8 of the bad guys left at this point, and two of you hidden from view. The remaining 8 will act in groups of two, each group opening fire on the four visible heroes. 2 move to get an angle on Slipstream (who has +4 Def due to cover from the side of the building at the angle): Both just miss thanks to the cover. 2 aim upward and fire at Prime Mover: 23 and 24, ouch. @Lone_Star two DC 20 toughness saves. 2 fire at Centuria: 16 and 14, both missing (one barely) Last 2 will fire at Stormchild: 15 and 23, so one hit @EternalPhoenix that is one DC 20 toughness save from Stormchild. EP: Stormchild will be up, and let me know if you wanted Riel to use any of us luck on anything above.
-
As indicated on Discord, pushing her Str/Super Str to the max, Centuria can hit two of the bad guys with a small car thrown about 25 feet. DC 21 toughness saves: both miss, so they are out.
-
@EternalPhoenix The trooper fails his save so is down. @Tiffany Korta Centuria is up
-
Actually, you bought it as a targeted AOE, which means there is an attack roll, but you can Take 10 and hit them. With that large an area, will say you catch a group of 5 down one of the streets: they all fail the toughness saves. The blast also takes out windows on both sides of the block and badly damages a parked car. @EternalPhoenix Serendipity is up!
-
@FlyingFresh Yep, that is correct, and the minion cannot make that save, so is out. Go ahead with your IC post. @Lone_Star You are up next!
-
@FlyingFresh Yes, there are still 2 troopers down the side Slipstream went (they were just spaced out to prevent Takedown unlike the others). You only need a 15 to hit, so do you want to shift any accuracy to damage with Power Attack?

Slipstream Jack's punch struck OD right in the jaw, which felt like punching a solid brick wall. The large villain seemed completely unfazed by the punch. As Jack tried to grapple the villain, he managed to push back against the attempts to grab him, resisting with considerable strength as he pushed Jack’s hands away. "Struck a nerve there, did I?" The villain asked with a slight grin. Meanwhile, a short distance away, the member of the Avant Guard in the formal attire and top hat moved toward Harlequin, stabbing at the hero with his cane, the end of which sparked with electricity similar to the batons wielded by the others. However, the fae hero managed to easily sidestep the clumsy attack. "Start getting any loot out to the van." The man stated to some of the Avant Guard. Like Jack, Lynn had been slightly disoriented by the sudden change in position, but thankfully had been able to recover quickly enough. One of the Avant Guard had still managed to shock her with a baton, but the teen managed to resist the attack as she continued to focus on the fight. Noting how OD seemed to easily shake off Jack's attack, she realized he was likely the most significant threat now. In a blur of movement, she was over next to the large villain, reaching out with one hand toward him at blinding speed. However, this time she did not try to deliver a punch, but just reached out with an open hand, which seemed to glow with a faint light. Lynn managed to grab the villain by his left forearm, as the faint glow first spread across OD before a similar glow formed around Lynn. OD managed to pull his hand free, but with a somewhat lethargic motion as he almost stumbled back a step away from the teenage girl. "What…what did you do?" He asked, seemingly growing angrier as he faced Lynn. The large villain reached out to grab her once again, catching her wrists as she quickly brought her arms up. Only, this time, he did not immediately overpower her, but was stopped as Lynn kept her arms up in front of her, for a moment keeping OD's arms from pushing hers aside or otherwise overpowering her. Then suddenly Lynn pushed back, forcing OD back and causing him to release his grasp. A look of shock came over the villain's face as he looked down at the slim girl that had just pushed him away. "H…how?" "Your strength is now my strength." Lynn replied simply as she stayed focused on the villain.

Just going to combined OD's turn here, he will again try to grab Slipstream, hitting with a 27. He gets a 27 on his grapple check. Slipstream also gets a 27, so is able to avoid being grappled! @Kaede Kimura Harlequin is up.

Slipstream "I believe the school does have something of a theater program, as an elective and extra-curricular activity." Lynn replied. "Though, it can often depend on interest and participation on how active it is. But if needed, I think the school can help you get involved with similar programs off-campus." The blonde teen then turned toward Harper as she spoke up about supporting each other through the year. Sometimes it was easy for Lynn to forget that not everyone grew up around the superpowered community. Of course, thinking about that had the sixteen-year-old think about the other kids she had gone to Nicholson with, particularly Madison and Mary, who in this timeline were only ten years old and still at Nicholson. Feeling a growing sense of sadness start to well up, Lynn bit her lower lip briefly as she tried to calm herself and keep an otherwise neutral expression. "I grew up around this sort of thing, so not quite the culture shock. But I am always happy to help anyone as best I can." She replied to Harper's little speech, managing a half smile. It was then that another new student approached the group, asking about her roommate, which turned out to be Renee. Lynn stood back slightly to allow the two roommates to discuss, not wanting to crowd into the conversation, as Renee seemed a little unsure about having too many people around at once.

Slipstream As the hard light of the Doom Room activated and the scene shifted to an intersection within a city, Lynn had shifted to full speed. The blonde teen quickly took in everything around her, not having to turn her had as her high-tech googles provide her a full three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view around her. Noting the position of all her classmates and all the holographic enemies, she decided to start with a group of three opponents standing near each other down one of the streets. Lynn became a blur of black and red as she speed down one of the streets toward the first holographic alien. *CRACK* A supersonic punch connected solidly with the holographic alien's jaw, sending it flying backward. But Lynn had already moved up to the next of her targets. *CRACK* A second superspeed punch landed, sending that alien sprawling as well. *CRACK* Lynn punched the third one with similar results. But she did not stop moving, running a short distance past the third holographic opponent before taking a sharp ninety-degree turn and running up the side of a building where she skid to a halt on the rooftop. Meanwhile, down on the street level, the three holographic aliens all slammed to the pavement unconscious, where they lay for a moment before disappearing.

Okay, starting things off: Round One 27 Slipstream 2 HP (unharmed) 19 Gookgak 3 HP (unharmed) 19 Prime Mover 3 HP (unharmed) 11 Serendipity 5 HP (unharmed) 8 Centuria 2 HP (unharmed) 7 Troopers (20 spread out) 3 Stormchild (unharmed) Slipstream will dart down one of the streets towards three of the Troopers standing near each other. She will do the site rule base Power Attack (-2 atk/+2 dam), will Take 10 to attack the first trooper, DC 25 toughness save: 19 fails and is knocked out, will Takedown to the next one: 8 also knocked out, third: 14, also knocked out. She will continue moving and run up on the roof of a building. As should be obvious in the above, the troopers are minions, so you can Take 10 to attack them. @FlyingFresh Gookgak is up.

Okay, that certainly hits. However, with only a +4 damage bonus from STR, that does not get past his Impervious. He gets a 39 on his grapple check, so he breaks free from the attempt. The man in the top hat moves up to try to shock Harlequin, and misses as well. ROUND TWO 34 Slipstream 2 HP (unharmed) 23 OD (unharmed) 21 Harlequin 2 HP (unharmed) 17 Avant Guard (8) 8 Arctus 1 HP (unharmed) 4 Renoir (unharmed) Slipstream will move in towards OD, changing her array to her Power Thief and try to grab him to drain/mimic: 15 which is a miss, will use a HP: 19 (with the +10), so that hits, DC 18 Will save: 14 so 4 PP drained from all powers. Slipstream Mimics Enhanced Str 20, Impervious 8, Sensory Shield 4. Will get an IC up in the morning.
-
Yes, sorry I should have added more detail. There are a number of parked cars, a bus stop, trash cans, etc, around the area. Will have the order up in a sec and get us started!
-
Sure, go ahead with an attack roll (and just go ahead with a grapple check as well to have it done if your attack roll succeeds)

Timeout After the combined firepower of members of the past Freedom League and members of the Praetorians dealt with the robed entity, Lawrence had looked to the sky along with the others. The blond haired teen tapped into his cosmic senses, his eyes going completely blue and glowing with energy. "Yes, the temporal barrier I sensed around the city is collapsing, so nothing is blocking me from getting us out of here any longer." He replied. "But as for the rest….that is harder to say. At the moment, the timeline appears to be stable, but that does not mean that the entity could not just shut it down once we are gone." His eyes began to return to normal as he looked back over to his friends. "I am not entirely sure what this timeline consists of. It could just be this city, or the state, or Earth, or a fully complete alternate timeline. I cannot even say for certain what its connection to the normal space-time continuum is." Lawrence let out a small sigh. "We cannot stay here. But, I am worried about taking us back without at least first trying to locate the timeline the others have been placed in. If we are outside the space-time continuum, then they would be as well. We might have a better chance of locating them here than going back to our timeline."

GM The tri-colored beam of energy erupted from the heavily modified Meson Driver, streaking across the park towards the massive temporal distortion erupting around the robed figure. The bright beam of energy drew the attention of nearly everyone around the park. The beam struck the temporal barrier at the point where Lawrence and Parker's powers had been focused, resulting in an explosion of the various combined energies. The air shimmered with temporal distortions and the black crackle of Parker's powers as the multi-colored shockwave spread. When the bright flash of the explosion had subsided, the dark robed figured could be seen slamming to the ground some thirty feet behind where it had been hovering. Around it the temporal barrier that had been protecting it could be seen shattering under the combined attack. But even as the figure pushed itself back up and began to rise, many of the heroes scattered about the park took the opening to target the being behind everything. From one side, Captain Thunder (hovering in the air and healed by Lady Liberty) unleased a powerful lightning bolt at the figure. At the same time, Deadalus, Lady Liberty, Siren and Star Knight similarly unleashed ranged attacks of various energies. From the other side, Paradigm had risen higher in the air, as beams of bright energy erupted from her eyes towards the robed figure. Several of the other Praetorians joined their leader in targeting the robed figure, as Traveller, Moon-Moth, Magnetar and Dragonoid unleased magnetic, fire and magical blasts. The varied energies slammed into the robed figure almost simultaneously, resulting in another massive explosion. When the flash and smoke cleared, there was a large crater in the ground, the robed figure lying at the center. No…I…I…was….so….close. It stated weakly. You…re…friends….are…still…doomed. It added, before ripples of temporal energy washed over it and the figure was reduced to dust that swirled in several directions before vanishing as well. Around the park, the remaining time shades of the Crime League and the aliens that the figure had summoned vanished. High up in the sky, massive temporal distortions could be seen as the invisible barrier that Lawrence had sensed began to collapse.
