Velocity Velocity noted the serious expression that came over Mizuki as the two talked and the teen talked about want to learn about herself before becoming a hero, as well as expressing a reservation about the name Torpedo Lass. "Well, I can totally understand wanting to know yourself, I sort of muddle through that while starting to be a hero." The speedster responded with a small grin before becoming a bit more serious. "As for the name Torpedo Lass, I only met the original a couple of times, but I am sure she would be proud to have some carry on the name for her. But taking on a legacy is never an easy thing." She gave a wide smile as Mizuki mentioned keeping her costume. "It is very sharp, much better than what I managed to throw together with my rudimentary sewing skills at fifteen." When the teen mentioned perhaps swimming as fast as the speedster could run, Velocity gave a small chuckle. "Sounds like we might have to have a race someday." She stopped a moment and seemed to look around. "Just realized something is missing." Taking out a cellphone from one of her belt pouches, the speedster quickly flipped through it and pressed the screen. A few moments later, a version of Marshmallow World began playing through the Hall's sound system. "There we go."

Multi-Girl Her prior two years at Claremont, Bernadette O'Connell had not attended the Freedom League's holiday party, for a number of reasons. As this was her senior year at Claremont, she was determined not to miss this it this year, so once the invites had arrived she had been going around to many of the girls on her floor in the dorms to see who else was going. In some case, she had had to coax some of her friends into going. Neko had already made her plans, to run the babysitting service at Freedom Hall during the party. The redhead could certainly respect the Japanese girl's drive and hustle, always looking for ways to make some money. She probably need to have a talk with Neko one night herself, given that Bernadette and former Claremont student Summer Sands had started a band and were always hunting for opportunities to play. In fact, she was just finishing up a text to Summer about details for when the other girl and the other two members of the band had to be at Freedom Hall for a small performance. Finishing the text, Bernadette looked up at the other occupants of the car she had rented to transport the group to the event. Not having a costume of her own and not wanting to wear the boring Claremont training uniform, the Irish eighteen year old had opted for a dark green sequin long sleeve dress with a skirt that went down to her knees, with a slit up the right side, with flesh toned heels to complete the look. "Looks like we're here." She stated with a smile to the others as she looked out the window as the car pulled up towards the front of Freedom Hall.

Timeout Lawrence helped Baz back to his feet as the group began to make their way out of the Doom Room, discussing how things had gone. The blond teen gave Consuelo a smile as she excitedly talked about how everyone had done. "Thanks Consuelo, as Parker said, you did great as well." He stated sincerely before given her a small smirk as she mentioned it was a bit hard to tell him and Parker apart at times. "We'll try to remember that and figure a way to make it easier to tell us apart." He said with a friendly laugh. He then looked over to Mizuki as the Japanese girl tried to downplay her role in trying to get them organized in dealing with the Factor Four. "I wouldn't be so hard on yourself Mizuki." He stated. "Sometimes leadership is just helping to get people focused on what needs to be done." "But I am sure we will all get better at this, one of the points of this sort of training. I expect not too many of us have much experience working with others in a superpowered battle, and just learning how to work with others in such a situation is not exactly something that comes naturally." He offered.

Velocity As Mizuki had entered into the lobby, Velocity had spotted the teen thanks to the goggles she wore with her costume, which provided her with a three hundred and sixty degree view around her (which tended to help when moving about at far beyond supersonic speeds). There was a blur of yellow and a *WOOSH* of air as she turned and zipped over to the teen, stopping a short distance away with a warm, welcoming smile, a brown ponytail sticking out of the back of her mask swishing to one side at the sudden stop. "You are just on time. Very nice to meet you Mizuki. I am Velocity, welcome to Freedom Hall. We have been inviting current Claremont students for a long time. Always good to get a chance to meet future heroes." The speedster stated. "I remember the first time I came to one of these, I was probably about your age."

Muli-Girl Bernadette gave a slightly embarrassed smile as she and her duplicates finished the song and Michael began clapping. "Well, not really everythin', but singin' is one o' ta things I have always been good at, even before me powers manifested." The redhead replied. "While I can certainly make up a chorus, I can' really be an entire band alone. Never really took ta any instrument, singin' just always came easier, so I focused on that." The Irish teen continued. "The music teacher here has been a great support an’ really helped me ta further refine me range." She then gave a small smile at Michael's mention of his worry that he would not find anyone to practice sports with. "There are a few here that still like ta play sports, so I expect ye will get plenty o' chances."

Synapse Dee gave Vicki a small smile as the teen mentioned not knowing about Natasha. "Well, not something I make a point of advertising. The times I have met with you, I have wanted the focus to be on you and what has been going on with you, not chatting about my little one running around." She gave a small grin before continuing. "But, she is back in England with my husband, her father, who is probably either spoiling her, or having her work on perfecting her basics in gymnastics. I will be home in time to help get her to bed and read with her." The Englishwoman gave the teen a sympathetic look as she turned to topic back to her family and how difficult things could be with them. "Well, you have generally chosen the path of least resistance in trying to navigate things with your family. I rather chose a different path and tried to be as much of an embarrassment as I could to my father. Not that I fault you for that. For all their faults, I do believe your parents care about you, their priorities are just not where they should be." "With a bit of luck, your father will not bother every looking deeper into Claremont over the next three years and things will remain quiet for you." She stopped a moment and grinned slightly. "Well, in terms of your family."

Multi-Girl Bernadette felt her self tense slightly as the purple haired Consuelo continued to speak. The more she spoke, the more the redhead did not like her (and that was without any regard to the unsettling effect Consuelo often had on people). But she managed to avoid letting out the retore she wanted to make, which she had a very strong feeling would not have gone over well with purple Consuelo. "Or somethin'." She simply responded as she focused on the purple haired Consuelo. "Or, it could just be that we are friends." She then added, still not drawing attention to the bracelet she had on one of her wrists. "Anyway, what do ya mean ye were lookin' for a power duplicator?"

Freedom Hall City Center, Freedom City, New Jersey Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 5:58 PM As was typical for this time of year, the City Center was covered with dazzling lights and holiday decorations. A massive Christmas tree stood in the green space at the heart of Centennial Ciricle, out in front of City Hall. A section of the park had been converted into an open air ice skating rink that was filled with people. Sitting just to the west of Centennial Circle, Freedom Hall was no exception. Section of the stone wall surrounding the original headquarters of the Freedom League had various decorations along it, and the trees inside the grounds were also adorned with lights. The hall itself had lights strung along the edges of the stepped ledges created by the roofs of each floor. Inside the world famous building, the large lobby and reception area had been decorated for the holidays and prepare for hosting the annual holiday party the League hosted for heroes from across the city (and beyond). A ten foot tall Christmas tree had been set up along the right side of the lobby, covered in shinning silver ornaments and multicolored lights. There were also a number of tables set up along that side of the lobby, some lower tables with chairs, while others were taller tables around which guests could stand. An open doorway led to a large conference room where the foot and refreshments had been set up. The other side of the lobby had been reconfigured for the event by Dr. Metropolis to include a working fireplace in which there was currently roaring fire. A number of leather sofas and chairs were arranged around the fireplace, offering a comfortable seating area for guests to relax. A yellow blur was moving about the large area, stopping briefly here or there to make some last minute adjustment or addition to the decorations. The blur came to a halt in over near the main entrance looking back toward the lobby, taking in everything at once. Dressed in an iconic yellow costume, with a checkered flag pattered strip down the sides, Velocity smiled as everything was ready for the guests to start to arrive. The speedster had first come to the Freedom League's annual holiday party when she had been a teenaged hero herself, but that was almost two decades ago. She had spent much more of that time helping to host the events as a member of the League. Velocity had always enjoyed this time of year and the opportunity to reconnect with longtime friends in the hero community and to have a chance to meet other heroes she had not had an opportunity to work with. This year brought some conflicting emotions for her. Invitations were extended to current students at Claremont Academy and this year, her own son was attending the school. The speedster took a deep breath to help keep back tears at how time seemed to have passed so quickly, she knew guests would soon be arriving.

Well, Mind Reading auto hits as it is perception range, but it is a single target, would beed to be area to really use as a radar. So need to know who you might target, then you do need to make a power check (d20 + rank) vs the target's will save to see if you can read their emotions.

GM As Consuelo and Vicki crested a hill, the could see the course ahead of them head down towards the banks of a large lake, before turning slightly south to follow one edge before wrapping around the far side and heading due north/northeast. From their vantage point the pair could see at least two power ups along the stretch of the lake. Just as they were starting down the slope with the others close behind, the Quirk insert box in the right hand corner (with the tweed jacket and hat reappeared). "Well Vic, they have reached Lake MacKenize." "That's right Rick!" Replied the opposite corner Quirk with the fake mustache. "Just around the south bank and then a straight shot up to Ocean Heights." "Could be some real surprises there Vic!" Answered the tweed jacket Quirk before both disappeared once more. As Mizuki crested the hill behind the majority of the pack, she saw that where the course turned to head around the south bank of the lake, there was a pier that went out into the water…

Multi-Girl Bernadette had silently cursed when she had knocked over something in the dark, drawing the attention of some of the figures in the room beyond. With surprise blown, Leon had followed closely behind and just gone straight for drawing attention from whomever was here. And then everything went crazy as the redhead identified several of the individuals in the other room, all of them associated with Casanova. As the combat began, Bernadette saw some sort of canister hit Casanova and cover him in a hard foam. She smiled slightly, recognizing something that looked like one of Charlie's tricks. Rushing forward, the redhead passed by Leon, moving forward into the other room so that she was in the middle of the largest concentration of bad guys. "Ye still up ta yer creepy plots Shields?" She asked as she ran into place. Then suddenly there were dozens of Bernadettes, moving out in all directions towards the various opponents. As they went, the duplicates began throwing punches and kicks at the villains, many landing solid hits. While that was going on, the duplicate Bernadette had summoned initially moved away from the bound individual and ran towards Chump, figuring he likely would take more effort to take down. Coming up from the side, the duplicate launched a sidekick at the former cop, but her aim was a bit off and the kick glanced off his upper arm with little effect.

Multi-Girl As the previous band made their way off the stage, Bernadette took a deep breath before looking over to Summer and giving the shy girl a reassuring smile. The redhead knew that once they got out there and she began playing Summer would be just fine. She glanced at the other two members of the band that Summer had recruited, two men in their early twenties, a drummer and base player and gave them a nod as well. And then the four headed out onto stage to some cheers and applause from some of the crowd. Walking out to the middle of the stage as the other three began getting ready, the Irish teen looked out over the crowd as she went up to the microphone in the center of the stage, removing it from the stand. While most of the crowd was a sea of unfamiliar faces, many lost in shadow, Bernadette did spot Luke and Leon seated at a table near the stage. Giving the two a small smile, she then focused back on the larger crowd as she waited till the rest of the band was ready. The main lights had come on while the performers had changed, now they dimmed once more, leaving several spotlights that shined on the stage the primary light source. After a brief moment, Summer started right into the rapid, upbeat cords of Bad Reputation. Bernadette started moving along the front of the stage, bobbing her head to the beat of the initial moments of the song before she began to sing. I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation Living in the past, it's a new generation A girl can do what she wants to do and that’s what I'm gonna do Bernadette continued moving about the stage as she sang, matching her movement to the energy and flow of the song. Summer certainly handled the guitar with practice easy, but it was the Irish teen's vocals that truly stood out for this first song….

No problem, happy to do so. Will have some time for chit-chat in the IC post if people want.

Okay, so Multi-Girl has a 60' radius targeted burst area (that is selective) centered on her, so she will move as far into the room as she needs to in order to catch as many of the bad guys (which currently includes Ghule as she had not gotten close to her yet), this will exclude Shadowborne (and Paper and Nightscale, obviously). Thanks to Stormcrow's Master Plan, she has +8 to atk at the moment, she gets a 26 on her attack roll for the burst! Everyone hit has a DC 27 toughness save to make. Her duplicate will come in and make an attack on Chump (assuming he is better able to take the burst attack), but she is likely missing with a 13

Timeout Torpedo Lass' energy blast struck Pyre, knocking him spinning slightly in the air as he seemed hurt and dazed. But the flame wielding villain had no chance to recover before Spaceman's shadowy giant fist seized him, squeezing the villain even further before slamming him to the ground and pinning him there helplessly. A moment later Headmistress Summer's voice once again came over the speakers. "That will be enough for today, these readings should do for a baseline for now. Good work everyone, Factor Four can be a challenging threat." As she spoke, the holographic terrain, enemies and bystanders began to fade, leaving the five teens in the empty space of the Doom Room once more. Empty save for the holographic forms of Professor Fathom and Granite, as well as a section of the tiled floor of the mall courtyard, all of which were still frozen in time. "On it." Lawrence responded to Consuelo as he closed his hand, the temporal distortion disappearing, causing the time locked holograms to also vanish. A moment later he was standing near Baz and Consuelo, seeming to pause a moment as he got inside the green haired teen's aura, but focusing past it he released a temporal wave that washed not only over Baz, but also Consuelo, both of the teens feeling any soreness from the hits they had taken instantly fade as if they had never occurred.

That is a hit, Pyre gets a 21 on his toughness save, so a second bruise. He gets a 25 on his grapple check, but still pinned and helpless. Back to Rot! On second, thought, Summers will call the session now (rather than have you beat up on a helpless opponent), will get an IC post up in a couple.
-
Nope, unless someone has a power that can help (checking phones shows no service)
-
Didn't see that, but yeah, might want to edit it a bit to leave out the attack for the moment. Should be focused on what you were doing before. Should be getting to the next actions (and rolls soon).
-
Well, might want to wait till I get the GM post for what is up ahead before deciding on what to do next, still waiting on your IC post based on the last rolls. (Same with you @BitCook)

GM As Neko began to sing, the soldier accompanying her stopped to watch. Several other soldiers that were marching by in the courtyard also stopped to listen to her song and watch her dance. As the words drifted on the wind, the nearby soldiers on the walls also stopped their patrols to watch. Flying low, Starshine managed to reach a portion of the walls without any apparent alarm being raised. Not seeing any soldiers along the walls or visible inside the tower nearest her, she took the chance to fly up higher and land upon the sloped roof, landing and ducking down behind what cover she could find as she peered out at the area before her. She could see a couple soldiers on the walls, but they had turned their view inward, and were watching a Japanese girl that was singing and dancing inside the courtyard. Higher up, Gawain glided along the wind currents, keeping his distance from any of the towers on soldiers on the walls. He could see Neko in the courtyard, acting as a distraction. So far it appeared to be working, as the attention of most of the guards around her had been diverted. For the moment, there was an opportunity for the others to try to move across the edges of the courtyard to the inner wall, beyond which lay the next portion of the fortress….

Multi-Girl Bernadette noted as the green-haired Consuelo managed to answer her question (which was not a particular surprised), while the purple-haired one just ignored it and instead reveled facts that made it all the more clear she was nor the original, at least, not from this dimension. But the redhead frowned slightly as the purple-haired Consuelo continued to talk, seeming to make it evident that her attitude was not confined to her manner of dress. "Minion? I'm her friend." The Irish teen replied evenly to purple-Consuelo. "Anyway, where do ye remember bein' before ye ended up here?"

Timeout As the racers were continuing down the course, Lawrence glanced back to see Vicki's racer start to accelerate somewhat uncontrollably. Turning the wheel sharply, he spun his racer back around so it was heading in the opposite direction and then tried triggering his powers, which allowed him to shunt his racer through time and close quickly back towards Vicki and the Koopas. The blond teen then spun his racer back around to start in the correct direction again as he tried to pull up next to Vicki to help her get the hang of the acceleration. But as he tried, one of the Koopas came veering towards him, and just as the other racer was about to make contact with Lawerence's there was another temporal distortion and Lawrence was suddenly just behind where he had been, causing the Koopa to veer wildly off to one side. But then the other lead Koopa towards Lawrence from behind as well. But once again, just as the two racers were about to collide, there as a temporal distortion and Lawrence was again shifted to a different place and the Koopa failed to connect. But all this shifting had caused the blond teen to fall a bit behind, which for the moment suited him fine as he looked back again to see how Mizuki was doing.

As Huck said, yes, although they may not work as normal, so might need to experiment. Still need IC posts for you and BitCook for the last round before I set up the next
