Timeout As Rot’s powerful blast manages to all but remove Sylph from the combat, Professor Fathom looks over at the green haired teen as he screams out, "You! Dare!" Raising his hands, the supervillain releases another jet of water, this time aimed directly at Rot. With most of her attention having been focused on attacking Sylph, Rot was not prepared for the attack, and the jet of water slammed into her with powerful force. Over where he had been directing people away, Lawrence looked back at first Gamma and then Rot getting hit by the villains. Moving back over near Parker, the blond teen raised his hands once more. "Alright, let's try something different." This time, the temporal distortion did not originate from Lawrence, but started in a space between Granite, Professor Fathom and Pyre (who was still hovering in the air). From there, the distortion spread out until it washed over all three villains. When it ended, both Granite and Professor Fathom were frozen in place, even the water that had flowed through Fathom’s form was no longer moving. Pyre however, appeared unaffected. Lawrence gave a small smile. "Okay, that’s two frozen in time. Only the fire guy left." Hearing that, Pyre turned back to the blond teen. "Back to burning you then!" He shouted, flying back a bit closer to Lawrence and sending another burst of flame towards him. But once again Lawrence easily stepped aside, a slight temporal distortion visible as he shifted position in the blink of an eye.

Professor Fathom will try to blast Rot, and hits with a 14. (forgot she was flat-footed) @Huckleberry DC 24 toughness save for Rot! Timeout will use Time Stop with an area big enough to catch the three remaining villains; using extra effort for +2 ranks Fathom gets a 10 on his reflex check, so is frozen. Pyre gets a 21 so avoids it. Granite gets a 8, so he is frozen. Pyre will shot at Timeout again, missing horribly with a 11 @Supercape Gamma is dazed, unless you want to use a HP to remove it?

Synapse "Thank you Vicki Adams." Replied the mechanical voice of the AI. "We can wrap up for now VERA, I will finish up when I get back to the Haven." Dee interjected as she led Vicki into the room. "Of course Synapse. Good day Vicki Adams." The AI answered, as the screens began going dark. Dee lifted up one hand and swept it to the side, as if clearing off a bookcase, and all the holographic screens floating in the air were swept away, as if they had never been there. Taking the moment to take in the room in a bit more detail, Vicki spotted one thing that was slightly out of place with the rest of the décor. Just at the end of one of the sofas was a open plastic bin, filled with what appeared to be children’s toys. Look back over at Vicki, Dee gave her a mischievous grin. "Well, I am not sure I am 'responsible,' but I certainly had a hand in things. Once I got word you were being pulled from the Atom Academy, I recalled that Lawrence’s parents had been fostering a young Powers who was at Claremont. So, I reached out to Lord Harrow and we had a bit of a chat about your circumstances. That led to discussions with Headmistress Summers and Lord Harrow eventually reaching out to your father, about some minor bill or another going through Parliament, and your father took the opportunity to ask where Larwrence was attending school." "From there, it was rather a simple matter of presenting Claremont as your father wanted to see it, so he would not bother to take a harder look. Bloody good thing to, bleeding Quirk popping in on your first day."

Yeah, won't need quite that may. Sylph gets a 21 on her Reflex check, halving the effect, she also has half immunity to energy damage. She gets a 17 on her fort save (so no lost Toughness). She has a DC 18 toughness save (due to half immunity to energy damage), and gets an 8. Not disintigrated, but effectively out of the fight.
-
Well, there are a few here and there, but the majority have now cleared out (or are in the process of doing)
-
No, there are no civilians near Sylph. But you would have to remain in place to do the move actoin to search.

GM Brining one of his thick arms back down after having shielded his face from the green atomic fire from Gamma Buzz, Granite had a clearly angry look on his face. "GOING…TO…SMASH….YOU!" He yelled as he rushed after the leaping Gamma Buzz, swinging one massive open hand out as he drew near. This time, Gamma was not able to dodge aside in time. *WHAM* a powerful blow stuck the teen and he was knocked off his feet and sent flying across the courtyard and through the open entrance to a nearby store. Crashing into a mannequin and clothing display, Gamma was soon half buried under a pile of clothing, dazed from the attack.

Yeah, he is a damage shifted powerhouse, so when he hits, it hurts. There is quite a bit of knockback as well. Won't bother with a roll against that (failsafes in the Doom Room and all). @Huckleberry Rot is up!
-
Granite will once gain try to hit Gamma Buzz, this time hitting with a 24! (almost a critical hit!) @Supercape A DC 28 toughness save for Gamma.
-
Yes, it would be a reaction to possibly keep her in sight as she moves and tries to hide. If that fails, you can always use a move action on your turn to try to search for her and spot her. To keep things going, I did not ask everyone to make a roll, letting people do so as their turn comes up and they wanted to focus on her.

Synapse Vicki did not have long to wait before the door opened, revealing her mentor on the other side. Dee Farrington, as was often the case, was dressed to match the rebellious image she had crafted before Vicki had been born, with a pair of black jeans, a Nine Inch Nails T-shirt and Doc Martins. The thirty-something had shoulder length black hair, with a few stripes of her natural blonde mixed in. From what Vicki knew of Synapse, she was not nearly as rebellious as she may once have been (even having married an investment manager), but there were certainly times where it still shone through. Dee gave the teen a warm smile. "Morning Vicki. Hope the drive was uneventful." She said as she let the teen into the entry way of the home. "I can hang up your coat if you like" Similar to Lawrence and his father, Dee spoke with an upperclass accent that was rather familiar to Vicki. The interior of the home continued the look of the exterior, with a sleek modern design and décor that consisted of a number of shades of white. After hanging Vicki's coat, Dee led Vicki a short distance from the foyer to a large, spacious living room filled with leather sofas and chairs. Tall windows looked out onto the back patio, where there was a pool (covered for the winter) and yard, which overlooked the cover containing the yacht club. But, as impressive as the view outside was, it was easily to overlook, as suspended in the air through out the living room were various clusters of holographic screens. Some showed images of what appeared to be some costumed Power or another, others had what seemed to be written reports, or maps, or all manner of other data. "Greetings Vicki Adams." Spoke a mechanical sounding voice as the two entered the room. "Vicki, that is VERA, the AI that oversees Vanguard's headquarters back in London." Dee stated almost absentmindedly. Glancing at the various screens, she looked back at the teen. "Was just getting a bit of work done while I waited."

North Bay Freedom City, New Jersey December 3, 2023, 10:15 AM The past few days had been something of a whirlwind for Vicki Adams, from having her father pull her from attending the Atom Academy and placing her (unknowingly to him) at the even more Metahuman focused Claremont Academy, to an extra dimensional trickster decide to pull many of the Claremont students into various versions of video games on Vicki's first day at the school. In many ways it was a good thing that her first day had been a Friday, so that she might have the weekend to get her bearings and acclimate to the new school. But then, on Saturday afternoon, Vicki had been called to see Headmistress Summers, who had told her that Synapse was going to be in town Sunday morning to meet with her. So, at the appointed time Sunday morning, an Uber had arrived at Claremont to take Vicki to see the Englishwoman. A bit more snow had fallen on Freedom City over the past couple of nights, but, as an East Coast city, it was quite familiar with dealing with a bit of snow and the roads were clear and traffic was not significantly affected. The route had been pretty straight forward, east to State Route 9, which took Vicki across the Century Bridge, from which she had a great view of both the Century Narrows to the east, and downtown Freedom City to the west (with the massive Sentry Statute looking out toward towards the bay). Once on the northern side of Freedom City, the Uber followed the shoreline of the Century Narrows east, passing several large and expensive homes along the shoreline, until they pulled up to the address where Vicki was to meet Synapse. It was a sleek and modern two-story villa nestled on the southern shore of North Bay, overlooking the cover in which sat the North Bay Yacht Club (which Vicki had seen a version of during the Mario Kart inspired race Quirk had put together back on Friday).

@BitCook @Huckleberry @The Sailor Okay, here is a quick summary: K1 was heading toward the power up Consuelo was going to, but Lawrence knocked it off course to allow Rot to easily get the power up (she gets a temporary aura of turtle shells that will harm opposing team racers that come into contact with her racer). K3 was heading toward the other power up, but Vicki gets to it first, getting a speed up for the next set of rolls (+5 on reflex check) K4 manages to sideswipe Mizuki as she tried to anticipate the turn, knocking her a bit off course and causing her to slow down and fall a bit behind the rest of the group. I posted IC last, so others can start making IC posts, adding some appropriate details.

Yes, sadly will just miss. @RocketLord Spaceman is up!

Multi-Girl Bernadette almost felt like smacking herself on the forehead when Consuelo asked Dr. Adamu if she spoke English. While the redhead had found the scientist's behavior rather odd, she had not been about to call it out. When Dr. Adamu gave her agitated response, Berandette took one of Consuelo's arms as she started pulling the other teen toward the indicated door. "Sorry ta have been a bother mum. Thank ye fer showin' us the way." She said as she stared off toward the indicated doorway, letting Consuelo go after a short distance. "Sounds like ta place." She stated as they reached the slightly ajar door.

Multi-Girl Bernadette cocked one-eyebrow up slightly at Michael's comment about how she should worry about being physical, a mischievous grin on her face. "Is that an invitation? Ye might wan' ta be careful with those." She stated with a small wink. The redhead then made a quick action as she swung her lacrosse stick forward to send the white ball in the net arching towards Michael. "Aye, that is a fair comparison." She replied to Michael comparing Ruby to America Football, without pads. "Although the rules fer play are very different."

Timeout Lawrence gave a small smile to Owain as the older boy asked about his mother. The blond teen had not specifically mentioned his mother to most of his fellow students thus far, for…a number of different reasons. But, she was old friends with Erik Espadas, whose family Owain and Neko stayed with during holidays and breaks. So, Lawrence and his mother had met Owain at the Mr. Espadas' self-defense school a few months back when Lawrence had accompanied her to a meeting she was having with Mr. Espadas about some charity event in the West End both were involved in sponsoring and organizing. "She is good, still busy with her various charity events and such." The blond teen responded with a small smile. He glanced over to Parker and Baz and then back to Michael and Owain. "Well, we should probably get going to our next class, good to meet you Michael, I am sure we will see you around."

GM After her mist-like form slipped away from Spaceman's attempt to grapple her, Sylph seemed to fade from view even further as the mists seemed to pull back and out of sight. The villainess flew back towards one of the walls of the courtyard, before drifting up the wall and part of the upper level above (across the courtyard from where Torpedo Lass had landed). Once up on the upper levels, Sylph reformed, positioning herself behind one of the support columns for the doomed roof to try to momentarily conceal herself from the teenage heroes.

Well, they also get a DC 18 Reflex save to halve the effect (and it is 15+rank fort save as this is a damage effect, so DC 23 if they fail the Reflex check). Fathom makes his Reflex save, so DC 19 Fort Save: 19, he just makes it. Granite also manages to make is Reflex save, and gets a 26 on his Fort Save. So, now: Sylph is going to move away from Spaceman, and try to use her partial concealment and Stealth to hide, getting a 21 on her stealth check. @The Sailor Torpedo Lass is up!
-
Multi-Girl Bernadette had listened to Rosalind's assessment, giving a sigh of frustration with regard to the apparent actions of some cosmic being or another when the redhead heard Neko's reaction and looked over to the Japanese teen. The redhead gave her friend a smile of sympathy at the blatant cultural misappropriation before Owain's question caused her to glance over to him. "Hmm, I feel fine." The Irish teen replied. "As fer powers…" suddenly there was a second Bernadette standing next to the first, the two redheads glancing at each other before the original looked back to Owain, "seem ta be workin' as normal." The duplicate looked over to Neko to give the cat-girl a small grin. "Shall we get on with playin' this little game, at least until we can find whomever is behind this so we can kick their arse?"

GM Hovering in the air after Torpedo Lass leapt past, Pyre turns around to face the direction where the teen had landed as he spots her on the upper level. "Okay, I guess you want to be the first to burn then!" He yells out, sending a blast of flame after the teenager. Torpedo Lass was ready for a counter attack, and dodged to one side, the jet of flame flying past her to slam into the display windows of one of the stores, melting a large hole in the window, but otherwise causing no additional collateral damage.

Sylph is going to move away from Spaceman, and try to use her partial concealment and Stealth to hide, getting a 21 on her stealth check. I need to pay closer attention to my own initiative list, lol. Pyre is going to shot a flame blast over at TL2. And, he also misses with a 14 @Supercape Gamma Buzz is up!

Timeout Lawrence was watching things unfold around him. As Rot intercepted the wayward water blast from Professor Fathom, the blond teen gave her a small smile. "Good stop Rot." He said before looking back at the various combatants. "Okay, let's try this again." He started as he once again sent out a time distortion that went in all directions, sweeping around his allies and civilians and only targeting the members of Factor Four. Once again, Pyre and Professor Fathom managed to avoid the temporal attack. Sylph was unable to this time, but even as the temporal distortion was about to connect, it seemed to pass harmlessly through her mist like form. Once again Granite was directly hit by the distortion, but once again the massive villain managed to shake off any effect. Giving a small sigh, Lawrence was once again blurred by a time distortion that moved over towards a crowd of civilians in the blink of an eye as the blond teen stepped back into normal time. "Come on everyone, let's head to the exits please!" He called out, gesturing towards the exits to try to get those that had not already begun to depart to do so.

Round Two 27 Timeout (Uninjured, 1 HP) 23 Pyre (uninjured) 22 Gamma Buzz (uninjured, 2 HP) 20 Sylph (uninjured) 20 Torpedo Lass 2 (Uninjured, 2 HP) 11 Spaceman (Uninjured, 1 HP) 10 Granite (sickened (-2 atk) 8 Rot (Uninjured, 1 HP) 4 Professor Fathom (uninjured) Okay, Timeout is going to try the same trick again, only this time he will use the default Accurate Attack to take -2 dam for +2 atk, getting a 19, which is improvement (barely), but only hits Granite and Sylph (and dosen't effect Sylph). Granite gets a 22 on his Fort save, so shakes it off again.
-
GM The final member of Factor Four finally went into action, the blueish hued form of Professor Fathom seemed almost to flow over closer to where Granite was engaged with Gamma Buzz. Raising one hand, the watery villain sent a powerful jet of water towards Gamma, but once again the agile insect hero dodged aside without hardly a drop touching him. However, the jet of water was headed straight towards a group of the holographic civilians still in shock from the sudden outbreak of superpowered combat in the mall. But Rot was ready, directing a blast of the shadowy distortions she had used earlier against Widowmaker and Incendiary which intercepted the jet of water. As the water impacted against the shadowy energy from Rot, it briefly splashed outward, before beginning to flake apart and then disappear completely.
