We will go ahead with her being KO'd

TImeout If Lawrence was bothered by the nickname Consuelo had given him, he showed no sign of it. Instead, he offered the flying girl a charming smile as he regarded her effort to deal with the light snow that was on the ground. "Good morning Consuelo." He said in greeting glancing over to Vicki as she managed to introduce herself despite her shock. "Vicki is a old family acquaintance, and also happens to have completed transferring to Claremont today. The headmistress asked me to give her a tour and make sure she gets to her classes this afternoon."
-
Timeout Lawrence again seemed slightly puzzled at Vicki apologized. "Not sure what you have to be sorry about." He stated as he turned to start leading her along the path once more. "Anyway, as I understand it, your father's mistake was reaching out to my father to ask where he had placed me." The blond teen offered with a slight grin. Passing through the gateway in the wall, the pair cam to a semi-enclosed section of the school grounds, just to their right was a section of what appeared to be gardens, with some well manicured bushes, among other baren, dormant plants. Vicki could see a small group buildings beyond some of the bushes, with roofs that had a very Asian style to them. "So, back to the tour, as I am sure you can gather, this is the school's gardens." Lawrence stated. "They were much more impressive back at the start of the school year, but I understand they are at their finest come the start of Spring. There is a Japanese style zen garden that is part of it, a good quiet place to go and think or mediate."

Unfortunately, he has a Def of 18, so hits, but not quite enough to trigger extra hits. He gets a 17 on the fort save, so just avoids the drain, and he gets a 23 on the toughness save (even after the -1), so is able to weather the punch. @RocketLord Spaceman is up after Huck makes an IC post.

Timeout Lawrence met Vicki's intense, unexpectedly wise gaze without hesitation or uncertainty. "Those sound like your father’s words. Why should being different be anything bad." He stated simply. Looking into Lawrence's eyes, Vick's abilities showed her more than she perhaps had expected. She saw Lawrence as a young child, moving about as the world seemed to stand still around him, everything frozen in a moment. Everything that is except his mother, who somehow seemed to always be able to be one step ahead of him. She caught glimpses of Lawrence, at various ages, experimenting with his abilities, freezing things within…time? Such at stopping water poured from a glass, so that it hung in the air, as if frozen, but still liquid, then moving it forward, before then reversing it so that it went back into the glass. As those visions began to fade, there was a slight trace of…something, that seemed to loom on the distant horizon, but then the connection was gone. "I have had my abilities since I was born." Lawrence continued. "Thankfully my parents have always tried their best to support me in dealing with them."
-
Timeout Lawrence stopped just a fraction of a moment after Vicki had, a slightly confused look on his face. "You didn't know?" He asked, giving her a puzzled look. "Well, I am not really privy to all the details, but as I generally understand it, once your father pulled you from the Atom Academy, there have been a number of conversations between the principal there, Headmistress Summers, my father and Syanpse. All wanted to ensure you ended up someplace that could help you with your abilities, and do so in a way that would leave your father none the wiser. Thus, my role in helping to misdirect your father."
-
Timeout Lawerence chuckled slightly at Vicki's comment's about her father's misapprehension about his family's reasons for moving to Freedom City. Of course, he was not telling her all of the factors that went into the decision, it was true that the presence of Claremont Academy was one of them. "Well, I will be sure to stay mum on the topic." At her comment about uniforms and difficulty in determining what to wear, Lawrence cleared his throat slightly and briefly seemed slightly embarrassed. "Well, that sounds like a topic that is fraught with danger to delve into, so I will accept the proposition, and simply offer that we are usually our own worst critics." Glad for the chance to pivot as she asked about classes at the school, Lawrence continued leading the pair along the path that went parallel with a low wall and led toward a gateway through the wall as he responded. "Well, the standard lot, math, literature, science, etc. But, there are things that will likely be even more likely to set off your father, such as meta human studies, ethics of superheroing and a number of other related topics that you can choose to focus on as electives."
-
Timeout If Lawerence was bothered by Parker's comments, he did not show it. In fact, the blond teen had expected that at some point his attempts to downplay his powers would get pushback, and it was not surprising it came from Parker. Instead, he gave his friend a slightly amused smile. "Well, what I said is not exactly untrue, being powerful and being flashy do not always go hand in hand." Glancing over to Michael, Lawerence's expression indicated he appreciated the other teen's attempt to move past the subject, but then he continued. "But, I am very aware of the implications of my powers," he said, looking back to Parker, "and being modest is a part of it, but there is also something to be said about not trying to stand out. Not that there is anything wrong with projecting confidence," he glanced over to Baz briefly, "but there can be advantages to having people underestimate you. And while I certainly don't expect that to be necessary with anyone here, it never hurts to practice." "In any event, your powers are hardly anything to scoff at." He addressed Parker.

Timeout Lawrence led Vicki out of the administrative building and onto the grounds of the campus. There air outside was cold and there was a light dusting of snow that covered some of the grounds. The architecture of the buildings was likely another familiar element for Vicki, as the buildings were all Victorian style brick and stone, similar to the older buildings on the older college campuses back home. The blond teen pointed out the building to the north which he explained was the residential building for staff that lived on campus, as well as the pair of dorm buildings, which were off to the northeast along the path the two were walking along. At Vicki's question, Lawrence gave her a smile. "Very much so. Don't let all this fool you," he indicated his formal boarding school attire, "we normally are not required to wear the school uniform, the headmistress wanted to put on a show for your father in case he wanted to come along on any part of the tour as well. While the headmistress is generally pretty…intense, over all we are able to be much more casual." "To be honest, the intention of having me eventually attend here was one of the factors that led my parents to decide to raise me primarily here in Freedom City, rather than back in England."

Okay, stealth rolls and a notice check (will roll this time) Multi-Girl does very poorly with a 12, she gets a 22 on her Notice check though! The duplicate gets a 25! on her Stealth check, and will take 10 on a Notice check for 18. Figures the one walking out into the open does better on Stealth, lol

Multi-Girl "Well, alright then." Bernadette muttered as Luke indicated they should just jump into the likely trap and Leon promptly did a Mary Poppins off the roof. The redhead glanced over to her duplicate who just shrugged her shoulders. Dismissing the duplicate (at least for the time being), the Irish teen then went over to leap off the roof to the roof of a nearby building that was slightly lower and then bounding again down to land near Leon as the young man started towards the warehouse. As they drew near, Bernadette felt the strange growing sense of dread about the situation and how everything seemed way, way off. She once again summed a duplicate, all though the increased numbers did not do much to change the feeling of unease. When they reached the not fully shut door, the redhead looked inside to see the figure bound on the ground. "What?" She stated as her duplicate moved through the door, trying to move quietly to check on the status of the other figure. The original Bernadette also moved through the door, stepping to one side of the door as she entered and tried to determine the source of the greenish light…

Veronica Danger Veronica returned Lulu's hug with similar energy, the young Danger clearly happy to see her friend again. Prudence took this opportunity to step out of the office, closing the door behind her to leave the two friends to catch up. The brunette chuckled slightly at Lulu's comment about her outfit, which was pretty much what the redhead had seen Veronica wear since the moment they first met at Claremont (well, with the exception of wetsuits when SCUBA diving or kite surfing in the Caribbean or the racing suit for driving in the Dakar Rally). "One of the benefits of being part of the family with our name on the door, a great deal of freedom in deciding how I want to dress, at least most of the time." The young Danger replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. "This is a very stylish look." She commented on Lulu's outfit with appreciation as she led her friend over to the leather seats spaced around the coffee table. Taking one of the seats, Veronica looked over at her friend, a wide smile still in place. "I am so glad you reached out Lulu. While university does its best to keep me busy and in one place, I do try to get out and about as much as possible. And there is always something the family business wants me to handle. How are you doing?"

Multi-Girl In the Hallway Bernadette had been watching Consuelo and Mizuki out of the corner of her eye, a bit worried about how the Japanese girl might react to the strange aura Consuelo gave off. Thankfully things seemed to be going as well as they could, so the redhead gave a slight sigh of relief and focused back on Rosalinda and catching up on how her summer had been and telling the other girl about the singing competition Bernadette had taken part in up in Boston. "The competition went great, until this bloody leprechaun transported us ta this other dimension…" Outside Neko had not gotten very far from climbing down from the dorm window when she ran into two of Bernadette’s duplicates who were walking from the main entrance to the building. "Hey Neko." One of the pair called out. "We were thinking of going to see what Gawain was up to. Want to come along?" Asked the other.

Timeout Lawrence gave Neko a friendly smile at her comment before turning back to Michael when she stepped aside for the moment. At Michael's comments about his family living in North Bay, Lawrence gave a small nod at the implication of his family’s wealth. "My father has various obligations back in the UK that requires his attention, my mother and I accompany him some of those times." He replied, trying to downplay the discussion of wealth, which was another topic he knew could make Baz uncomfortable. He again pivoted back to the change of topics as Michael continued to ask questions and cover other topics. "I am pretty sure there is a debate club already, not sure it has done too much so far this year though." He commented. At the discussion of volunteer work, Lawrence gave a small nod. "My mother dedicates a fair amount of time to various philanthropic projects throughout the city, and other parts of the world, often working alongside one or both of my grandmothers who have a long history in such work. So I have some experience helping with volunteer projects." At the question about their powers, Lawrence gave a small shrug. "Nothing as flashy as shooting lasers from my eyes." He began. "I have some control over the flow of time, being able to slip in and out of it as I want and even move forward and backward through time as well." He responded, a response that was now rather familiar to both Baz and Parker.

Timeout Lawrence’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched Mr. Adams' departure and once the elder Adams had exited the building he turned back towards the headmistress and Vicki with a more friendly expression back in place. "Well done Mr. Harrow." The headmistress stated. "I will leave you and Ms. Adams' to her tour and trust you will ensure she is where she needs to be on time." She added with a smile and a nod to Vicki before turning and making her way back to her office. The blond teen gave Vicki a friendly smile as she came over, this one with much more warmth than he had been using before. "Cheers Vicki." He replied. "It is very good to see you again as well." Now that he was not dealing with her father, Lawrence's manner was much more causal and relaxed. "Shall we crack on?" He stated, gesturing towards a hallway that led towards a side exit to the building.

Okay, with Gamma dazed, I am not going to bother with a post for Blur running around in the maze trying to find Lawrence. So, @Huckleberry Rot is up! Footnote....HP to Gamma Buzz for his complication.

Timeout Lawrence noted the expression on the eldest Adams' face, it was something he had encountered several times before when he had begun accompanying his parents to social gatherings in England. People were always weighing what advantage they might be able to obtain though Lawrence's father. "Thank you sir. It has been a good fit." He replied to the MP. At the suggestion of Vicki taking the same flight for the holidays, Lawrence gave a small nod. "I'm certain my parents would have no complaint. I can mention it to them and have someone reach out to your assistant to smooth out the details." Headmistress Summers was watching the interaction between Vicki's father and Lawrence with what appeared to be an expression of satisfaction of things going according to a plan. But the expression was only there a moment before it was gone and she once again spoke softly to Vicki. "I will be sure to pass that one next time I speak with them, which is fairly regularly." She then spoke up as a neutral expression returned to her face. "I believe Lawrence should be getting started with Vicki's tour, we are hoping to get her started in some of her new classes this afternoon.*

GM Back outside the maze, Neon Spider staggered back slightly from the force of Torpedo Lass' punch, but quickly recovered and went into a low crouch while she studied the Japanese teen a moment. But then suddenly the mercenary leapt up into the air, flipping over to stick to the roof next to Gamma Buzz. The glowing green blade of bio-energy sliced through the air, making contact with the teen. Down on the ground, Strand was struggling in Spaceman's grasp, but even with her hair extending out and trying to help pull off his grip, she failed to break free….

Timeout As MP Adams moved forward to greet Lawrence, Vicki saw the professional expression on the headmistress' face drop as she regarded the man's back with a stern expression. Her expression softened as she looked to Vicki. "Do not worry Ms. Adams, I am not one to judge one based on their family. Besides, I spoke with the Principal at Atom Academy last night, they are very sad to see you go." She said quietly to the teen. Lawrence shook the elder Adams' hand, noting that Vicki and the headmistress were hanging back slightly. "He is well sir. In fact, he will be back in London next week for some important votes. My mother and I will join him in a few weeks for the holidays."
-
Okay, Neon Spider is going to leap up to the roof and stick there besides Gamma and try to hit him, and gets a 28! Won’t apply the critical for this, but still a DC 23 toughness save for Gamma. Strand will try to free herself from the grapple, getting a 27 which isn't going to do it, even if Rocket rolls a 1. Okay, @Supercape Need that DC 23 toughness save, and unless he gets dazed, it is Gamma Buzz's turn!

Timeout Rot’s attack proved to be very effective against her two targets, the one with the flaming hands staggering under the attack, but staying on his feet, if dazed. However, it was the tall bruiser that took the brunt of the attack, staggering backward as the holographic image was quickly torn apart into nothing. The teens certain seemed to have their opponents on the ropes, with Spaceman subduing Strand and Torpedo Lass landing a solid hit on Neon Spider (who still seemed very much in the fight). Inside the maze, Lawrence glanced at the speedster that had pursued him a brief moment. "So this is Blur." He commented, expecting the headmistress would have a way of listening in on them. "Seems slower than my mom recalled him being, so you either dialed him down to start, or this switch was his. Either way, lets see if he can keep up." The blond teen stated with a slight grin. The temporal distortions surrounded him once more and Lawrence was slipping through time, traversing more of the maze. This time, when he came to the next switch, he just briefly returned to normal time to activate it, before continuing further to look for the next one.

Round Two 35 Timeout (Uninjured, 2 HP) 34 Neon Spider (bruised) 25 Strand (bruised, currently pinned/bound/helpless) 21 Gamma Buzz (Uninjured, 1 HP) 19 Blur (uninjured) PL 5 18 Rot (Uninjured, 0 HP) 18 Spaceman (Uninjured, 3 HP) 18 Incendiary (bruised) Okay, too bad Lawrence isn’t really aware of what’s going on outside the maze, so he will continue looking for another button. While doing so, he is going to try to outrun Blur: Lawrence chase check (Reflex save + Speed): an average 26 Blur: does very poorly with a 14 so he will not be able to keep up with Lawrence. When Lawrence finds another switch, it is for: 4 which would have been Widowmaker, so does not help.

Multi-Girl Bernadette regarded Ms. Tift with something of a scowl as the woman looked down to check off her and Consuelo, but had a force smile in place when the woman looked back up to dismiss them. "Thank you mum." She said as she led Consuelo off the bus. "Dosen' she 'ave the cherry disposition o' a banshee.' The Irish teen muttered to the younger teen. But then Bernadette was slightly startled by the sudden appearance of the green skinned woman from the institute. "Oh…okay." The redhead managed to get out when the woman directed them to the restrooms and where to find the rest of the group when done. "Thank ye." She replied as she continued on in a hurry. At Consuelo’s question, the Irish teen frowned slightly. "I bloody wish." She replied as she made her way to one of the stalls. "Now let's use the bleedin' loo an' get back ta the group before Ms. Tift loses patience an’ comes lookin' fer us."

Claremont Academy, Jasmin Summers Administrative Building Freedom City, New Jersey December 1, 2023, 9:00 AM Callie Summers, the headmistress at Claremont Academy led Vicki Adams and her father into the main entryway of the administrative building after their meeting this morning on Vicki’s first day at the institution. This had come about rather suddenly and followed her father’s discovery about the nature of the teen’s former school, the Atom Academy. "So, I am confident Claremont will provide all the opportunities Vicki would need to obtain the quality education you expect for her." The headmistress said in continuation of the general conversation they had been having for the last half-hour or so. "And now we have an orientation tour scheduled for Vicki, and arrange what I understand is a familiar face to act as her guide." The headmistress continued, indicating a figure that was staining in the entryway, apparently waiting for the trio. Both Vicki and her father quickly recognized the waiting figure as Lawrence Harrow, the sixteen year old son of Lord Robert Harrow. With short blond hair and handsome features, Lawerence had a very close resemblance to his father, save for his bright blue eyes, which almost seemed to burst with energy. Those were the very image of his mother, Megan Howell-Harrow. Lawrence was dressed in a pair of grey slacks, with black shoes. He was wearing a white dress shirt with a red tie, over which was a navy blue sweater, which bore the Claremont Academy crest over the left breast. "Mr. Adams, Vicki, so wonderful to see you both again." Lawrence offered in greeting with a charming smile.
