Multi-Girl It was not the robed figure that responded to Rosalind's question, but Archer. He looked over at the teenager as he spoke, "Centurion died decades ago, around the end of World War II." "Bugger us." Bernadette muttered as she looked over at the vigilante leader before focusing back on the robed figure. The mysterious figure hovered in the air, seemingly unmoved by the pleas of some of the group. "Once Lawrence Harrow surrenders and agrees to join me, I shall return you to your timeline." The figure stated simply. "He an' the others aren' even here." Bernadette spoke up. "Are they somewhere else in the city?" "Harrow and his companions are in another timeline, facing the Communion." The figure simply stated.

Multi-Girl Bernadette had leaned against Charlie for most of the movie, her head resting on his shoulder, so she had been right there when he had whispered about being glad he opted for the larger screen TV. The redhead smiled and whispered back. "Aye, good thing indeed." The Irish teen remained quiet this rest of the movie, alternating between what was on the large screen and her friends. Soon enough the film was over. "I can take care o' heatin' up some pizza." Bernadette replied as two of her duplicates appeared behind the sofa she and Charlie were on. The two duplicates made their way over to where the pizzas were waiting and grabbed several of the boxes and took them over to the kitchen. "Thank you fer brin' the movie Vik. It was a good one." The original Bernadette said with a smile.

Slipstream Lynn had looked at Kadene when she talked about wanting to keep some secrets and seeming to believe some of them might end up as enemies. But before the blonde teen could comment (if she had intended to) a voice came over the sound system in the Doom Room. "Well, now that you are all here, we can get started." Stated one of the school’s teachers. Around the five teens, the spartan room changed to a city street, several low buildings around them. The five young heroes were standing in the middle of an intersection. Other than the teens, the streets were empty. "The Freedom League and a couple of our students had an encounter with some aliens earlier this year. We will try for some opponents based on that incident to start." Stated the teacher up in the control booth. Suddenly, about twenty figures appeared, spaced out around the teens down each of the streets off the intersection. They appeared to be alien humanoids of varied appearance, wearing light body armor and carrying what appeared to be high-tech energy weapons.

Timeout The golden energy from Michael lit up the jury-rigged device in Vueriz's hands and was quickly followed up by a volatile ball of energy from Mizuki and the green gamma radiation from Baz. Vueriz could feel her device vibrating in her hands from the combined energies that had overcharged it. She was uncertain how long the hastily adjusted systems could handle all the combined energy, hopeful she would be able to use it soon…. A short distance away, Lawrence and Parker both turned and focused on the black robed figure, black crackling energy surrounded Parker, while Lawrence was almost hidden behind a temporal distortion as he began drawing fully on his power. Then suddenly both released their power at once, aimed at the robed figure. There was an explosion of crackling black energy that seemed to fluctuate in time, surrounded by temporal distortions. In front of the dark figure, the combined energy seemed to reverberate across a temporal barrier, dancing across it as it seemed to try to pull apart the barrier. While the two teen’s combined power did not breach the barrier, it certainly seemed to be weaking it in preparation for Vueriz's device…

Multi-Girl And things had quickly devolved into complete chaos, as Bernadette's teammates began engaging with the various supervillains and the two different sides of villains engaged both each other and the Guardians. Things were increasingly complicated by Purple Haze living up to his namesake, as the area was soon filled with a thick, purple haze that prevented the combatants from seeing anything around them. The original Bernadette focused on trying to get any remaining civilians clear, calling out and telling them to move to safety. She then went silent, moving a short distance from where she had been as she tried to listen for any sounds around her that she might be able to identify as a threat. Meanwhile, her duplicate could hear Born Loser moving away from her, and did her best to follow after him in the haze. Somehow, she managed to stay with him, and estimating where he was within the haze made a sweeping right hook toward the sound. The duplicate again had luck on her side, as the wide swing managed to connect solidly with the villain, and she felt it knock him off his feet to land a short distance away….

Multi-Girl Bernadette shook her head. "The last thing we want ta be doin' is just givin' him what he was after. All we have is his word it is his. Not fer us ta decide the ownership o' whatever it is he was after." The redhead stated. "Us takin' it an’ just givin' it ta him would potentially make us accomplices. We can let others sort all that out." When Michael asked about waking him up and questioning him. The Irish teen gave a small shrug. "We could try, but I am not shoor he would be interested in talkin.' Noor am I certain I would be willin' ta believe much o' anythin' he had ta say."

Slipstream Lynn had noted Kate and then Own arriving in the Doom Room, giving the two a small nod. As Kate's question, the blonde teen shrugged slightly. "Possibly, but they may also want to push us, to test our limits. But, probably not this first time round." "Lynn Conners." She then said in greeting to Owen when he introduced himself. "Don't think we need to use codenames here, but…never hurts to practice. I go by Slipstream when in costume." The blonde then turned to the newest student that had arrived. She had heard some rumors going around about the small goblin, but she had not really encountered him yet. She was a bit surprised when the goblin dropped down and began pleading with whomever might be up in the control room for the Doom Room. "Umm, this isn't a punishment. We are here from some testing." Lynn replied. "I think there are supposed to be two more of us before we can start."

@RocketLord At this point I think we are going to forego rolls to get this wrapped up @The Sailor @Supercape The two of you can post TL and Baz doing their part to charge up Vueriz's device. Then I will post Lawrence's saved action as he and Paker combined their powers (and Rocket can join) @Kaede Kimura Then you can post Vueriz using her jury-rigged device.

Slipstream "Sure, no problem Mattie." Lynn said with something of a half-smile and a small shrug at what had been (at least for her) a rather minor amount of effort given her powers. The blonde girl had then just gone back to listening and observing the others, when Renee came over and quietly asked how Lynn knew her way around. The sixteen-year-old turned slightly to Renee before responding in a somewhat lower volume. "Oh, I had a tour of campus back toward the start of Summer. Then accompanied Mattie when she got a tour a couple weeks ago. I do believe there are maps in the welcome packets in the rooms, I only took a quick glance at then when I was dropping off the bags."

Sub-Basement of Claremont Academy Bayview, Freedom City, New Jersey Monday September 9, 2024. 10:00 AM The start of the school year had been Monday, which had brought with it all the chaos of the first day of school, figuring out where all the classes where, making last minute changes to schedules, and more. Given one of Claremont's unique (and secret) purposes was helping teenagers with meta-human powers learn to control and better use their powers, this included time being schedule for new students to have some time in the Doom Room so the staff could get some baseline readings on their abilities. Six of the new class of Sophomores had their sessions scheduled for mid-morning on the second day of classes: Kate Devon-Leeds, Lynn Conners, Gookgak, Owen Akerlund, Reil Estime, and Kadene Estime. As they had been told to be ready for combat simulation and other strenuous activity, the teens had been told to wear the Claremont school uniform, or their costumes (if they had them). So Lynn and gone back to her and Mattie’s dorm room and changed into her costume before making her way down to the Doom Room. Once in costume, the blonde teen had felt a bit more comfortable at moving at full speed, so had been one of the first to arrive. She was dressed in a skin-tight black body suit with red stripes, gloves and boots, along with black goggles with red lenses. Her long blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail to help keep it out of her way. Lynn looked about the large room that was located with one of the sub-basements beneath the school's grounds as she waited for some of her classmates to arrive. The room was rather Spartan, with smooth white and grey walls, a floor that had a hexagon pattern and a high, almost cavernous ceiling. Along one of the walls, a couple dozen feet above the floor, there was a dark set of plexiglass windows. While she had never been in the Doom Room before (either here or in her original timeline), Lynn had trained some in the Freedom League’s Wreck Room, so she had at least had some understanding of what to potentially expect from this session.

Numbers add up, I see just two small things: First, slight error on the Prehensile Hair Container 7.6, not sure why it says [36DP] at the end. First, it has normal power points, not device points. Second, should be 38 (which is what you paid for and how much you spend within the container). Second, not sure Improvised Tools does anything for her?

Timeout Lawrence had turned to regard Alden when he spoke up from behind Jack, studying him for a moment before giving him a friendly smile as well. "Nice to meet you as well Alden. I am Lawrence." He replied, shaking the new commers hand. The blond teen smiled as well as Michael arrived in rather typical over excited form. "Sure Michael, I welcome the challenge." He regarded his roommate as Baz spoke a bit about his academic plans and the idea for a radio station. "We will have to be sure to get that started this year Baz." Then Parker mentioned letting the newer students know what they could do, causing Lawrence to chuckle slightly. "And take all the fun and surprise out of things Parker?" He commented before allowing the other blond teen and then Baz to finish their summary of some of their powers before looking at Alden and Jack. "I am the opposite side of the coin from Parker. I can manipulate time."

GM "Sit back and do nothing if you intend to, but we are not about to just watch our city get torn to pieces." Archer stated bluntly as he strode over towards his teammates, gesturing out towards the downtown skyline that was now partially obscured by columns of smoke from countless fires. But even as the moment of calm settled on the area, it was relatively short lived, as a tall figure appeared in the air near the group of heroes. The figure was completely concealed beneath tattered black robes, its face completely hidden within shadowy darkness of the hood of the robe. "Bravely fought, but ultimately futile." The figure stated in a cold, hollow voice. Neko heard its words in Japanese, not just any Japanese, but the very dialect of her village. Owain heard it speak in Welsh, Carmen heard Spanish, while Rosalinda, the twins and Bernadette heard English. Whatever the members of Force Ops heard, Archer quickly drew an arrow and fired at the hovering figure. There was a distorted ripple in time and space as the arrow seemed to strike some invisible barrier some distance from the robed figure before exploding. The smoke quickly cleared, and the figure was still hovering there, completely unfazed. "You many run if you wish, but there is no escape from the endless hordes of the Terminus." The figured continued, continuing to speak in each listener’s native language. "Soon, the Lord of Terminus will arrive, and this time there is no Centurion to stop him. When he does, this world will die, as it is drawn into the Cosmic Coil."

@Dracostern He was injured a round or two ago (and that is just another version of bruised, not debilitating, but a bit more serious than just a bruise). There are no immediate threats, so really would just be a post reacting to the sudden calm and such.

With all the Praetorians now returned to normal and the Communion threat mostly neutralized for the moment, the Praetorians can engage the remaining time shades of the Deadly Dozen and free up everyone to either execute Blue Bolt's plan or help deal with time shades. @Kaede Kimura I assume Blue Bolt is delaying her initiative to act after Michael/Baz power up her jury-rigged mason driver and then until Lawrence/Parker can kick things off? Lawrence moved next to Parker, filled him in on the plan and is holding his action to combined powers with Parker. @Poncho @RocketLord Assuming Kaede is holding it will be your turns.
