  1. GM Moments after Lawrence had departed, the female figure with the green stripes that had begun to move before Lawrence acted leapt forward toward the teens, easily covering the distance between her and Mizuki with apparent ease. As the figure came down, a blade of glowing green energy extended from the back of her right hand, which she used to slash at Mizuki. However, the teen was able to dodge aside, although still found herself engaged with her opponent. The other female figure was the next to act, rushing forward part of the way between the two groups, she stopped, as her long brown hair came to life and lashed out in front of her, elongating as it did, to try and strike Baz. However, the Mexican teen also was able agilely leap aside (similar to the summersaults he had been doing earlier) and land safely away from the suddenly animated hair. As her attack failed, the woman retracted her hair back to her and readied herself for any counterattack.
  2. Neon Spider will act, leaping forward towards TL II, missing with a 14. Strand will act next, moving forward some before trying to hit Gamma Buzz with her elongating hair, also missing with a 13. Not a good start for the fake bad guys. @Supercape Gamma Buzz is up!
  3. Timeout Lawrence had been looking up at the observation windows intently for a moment when the headmistress' voice came over the loudspeakers. When their opponents appeared, the blond teen's gaze shifted to them for a moment, then the switches when they briefly appeared, before being hidden behind a maze. At the sound of the headmistress indicated they were starting, one of the female opponents began shifting her weight to prepare to take some action. At that moment, there was a momentary distortion around Lawrence, as he turned to regard his classmates. "I will try to activate as many of the switches as fast as I can." He stated, before the distortion intensified until his entire body became a blurred figure. The blurred distortion that was Lawrence seemed to speed across the open area and into one of the entrances to the maze where it soon disappeared from view. However, the blond teen had a very different perspective as he made a slight shift in time to act before any of their opponents and then shifted himself through time and started into the maze. Unlike his mother, and virtually every other speedster, Lawerence's speed was not so much a matter of how quickly he was able to move. Instead, slipping between time, he could cover great distances quickly, but the speed at which he did so was not a significant factor in doing so. So he jogged into the maze, choosing to follow the left wall as he kept making lefts, doubling back along the left wall when he came to a dead end, until he finally reached the first of the switches. Coming to a halt and returning to the normal flow of time, Lawernce activated the switch and prepared to move on to the next. Outside the maze, one of the five figures, the one with the mirrored goggles and runner's build, glowed slightly for a moment and seemed stager slightly for a brief second.
  4. Actually, as TL II can get a 21 max, I will get the top of the order handled now. Timeout starts off into the maze, sticking to the left wall and navigating it till he finds the first switch. With Speed 6 he can get through to the first switch and randomly effects: 2 which is Blur (just going by initiative order) Blur drops from PL 8 to PL 5, which I will say reduces his initiative by 8 (2 ranks of Improved Initiative), which drops him to a 19, behind Gamma Buzz.
  5. So, Timeout will Seize Initiative (-1 HP) Will finalize once Sailor gets me a roll. Round One 35 Timeout (Uninjured, 2 HP) 34 Neon Spider (uninjured) 27 Blur (uninjured) 25 Strand (uninjured) 21 Gamma Buzz (Uninjured, 1 HP) 18 Rot (Uninjured, 1 HP) 18 Spaceman (Uninjured, 3 HP) 18 Incendiary (uninjured) 10 Widowmaker (uninjured)
  6. GM Rot found that the windows to what was likely the control room were fully opaque, with no means of discerning whether or not there was anyone on the other side. But then, as if on cue, a voice came over concealed loudspeakers in the room. "Now that you are all here, it is time to begin this session." The voice was immediately recognizable from her speech during the start of the year assembly, the school's headmistress, Callie Summers. “Ms. Nunez, if you would please move back near your fellow students so that we may begin." As Rot moved back as instructed, the headmistress continued. "We will be taking initial readings on each of your abilities and capabilities, so do not feel as if you need to hold back." As she spoke, five figures materialized in the room opposite the five teens, three men and two women. One of the male figures appeared to be African-American, wearing a black bodysuit that fit his lean, runner’s build tightly. The upper half of his face was concealed behind mirrored goggles and he wore several pieces of dark grey body armor that appeared tailored so as not to limit movement. One of the female figures was a lithe Asian woman who was also wearing a fully length black bodysuit, although she had several dark green stripes going down the sides and around the torso. Unlike most of the figures, she was not wearing any visible body armor. The other female figure was Caucasian, with thick, long brown hair that ran all the way down to her ankles. She was dressed in a black costume with green trip on her boots and elbow length gloves. Several bits of black fishnet connected both her boots and gloves to the main part of the costume. She was also wearing a few pieces of form fighting body armor. The final two male figures were also Caucasian, one with short brown hair and wearing black cargo pants, a long sleeve black shirt and similar dark grey body armor to the others. Unlike any of the others, both his hands were wreathed in fire as he regarded the five teens. The final figure had short blond hair and stood a towering six and a half feet tall. He was also wearing black cargo pants and a black long sleeve shirt that fit his muscular form tightly. He wore no body armor, and one of his large hands was wrapped over the other as he cracked his knuckles. "Your opponents are currently set to a fairly even level with your group." The headmistress continued. "However, if you are able, each of these switches," five different switches appeared spaced out along the far wall, "corresponded with one of your opponents, and will significantly reduce their capabilities if triggered." There was a brief pause before she added, "and no, it won't be that easy Mr. Harrow." At that, walls began to appear around the switches that covered much of the other half of the room, and soon the switches were all concealed behind what appeared to be a maze that was covered with a roof. "Shall we begin?"
  7. Multi-Girl Bernadette had been about the respond to Michael’s question about clubs at the school when Rot emerged from the building ahead of them, causing the redhead to come to a halt suddenly. She tensed slightly as she saw Neko’s tail puff, but relaxed after a moment. Well, that went better than ta first time. The teen thought, subconsciously fiddling with the black friendship bracelet around her wrist. But then she saw Michael tense up and seemingly start to change in front of her. But the moment passed and he seemed like his normal cheerful self, well mostly. "Umm….hey Suelo." She finally said with a weak smile as she looked over towards Consuelo. "Michael is a new student an' I was just givin' him a tour o' the grounds an' answerin' questions." She focused back on Michael, letting her smile widen. "Yeah, there are a number o' clubs here, an’ students are encouraged ta start new ones if there is somethin' missin' an' they get enough other students together."
  8. Timeout "That is pretty much spot on." Lawerence replied to Misuki's comment about the Doom Room looking like a holodeck from Star Trek as he gave her a nod in greeting as he walked over to offer his hand after Paker. "The very best in hard light technology." Glancing back toward his roommate, the blond teen gave a small grin. "Don't worry Baz, they won't weed us out by attrition," Lawrence paused a moment before adding, "at least, not this early." As Rot made her way up to the windows, Lawrence looked up that way. "Well, I imagine we will be finding out soon now that everyone is here."
  9. I did
  10. Going to give people a chance to get a other post in if they want, but can I start getting initiative rolls for everyone so we can be ready when the training starts. Thanks!
  11. Multi-Girl Bernadette had just finished singing practice and was a bit tired from a long day. Thankfully one of her duplicates was in the library getting some studying done for upcoming finals before the holiday break, but there was still so much to be done. She was surprised by the presence of the note on her bed and regarded it a moment before picking it up and reading it. The note just screamed of Charlie, or a trap, or both. Taking out her cellphone she quickly shot a text off to Luke and Leon The redhead then considered the note once more and the likely sender. Toward the end of last school year, during a game of truth or dare she had admitted to Luke and Leon (as well as Carmen and Neko) that she had a bit of a flame for Charlie. He had been one of two crushes she had had at the time, both likely equally doomed, for very different reasons. Charlie had a lot of great qualities (besides being super cute with a athletic bod), but he could get waaaay obsessive at times. In some cases, that could be something of a positive, like how he had worked to counter the plans of Casanova over the prior two years at Claremont. And then he had up and disappeared several months ago, dropping out of contact with anyone. In some ways, the Irish teen had been thankful that she had been somewhat distracted with first the singing competition she and Summer had participated in up in Boston toward the end of the summer break and then just how crazy things seemed to be at the start of this new school year and all the new students that had arrived. But now, here was this note she was more and more sure was from Charlie. Seein' you tonight, is a bad idea, right? Bernadette thought as she looked back down at the note, remembering the lyrics of a song. She paused a moment and let out a small sigh. $@#! it, it's fine. A short while later the teen had changed into her Claremont uniform, with a warm black hoodie over top and made her way out of the dorm building.
  12. Mutli-Girl "We wouldn' 'ave ta be dealin' with them if ye had not been set on gettin' yerself here" Scowled the duplicate Burnadette as she did her best to help the Duke and Summer with their sprint toward the nearest body of water. The original Bernadette followed closely behind the trio, giving a bit if space between her and them as she kept a close watch over her shoulder for the anti-bodies. If any drew close, she was prepared to counter attack to try to stop them from catching the others.
  13. Multi-Girl's duplicate will do her best to help Summer and the Duke hurry toward the water. Multi-Girl Prime will follow, handing back slightly and hold her action to use her area attack if any of the anti-bodies close with them.
  14. Hmm, I will think on this some, could be a good way to begin the path to that revelation?
  15. Timeout At the sound of the door, Lawrence turned to note the arrival of Consuelo. If the blond teen was bothered by the reputation the green haired girl was already making since the beginning of school, he did not show it as he gave her a charming smile. "Cheers, that would be us, although I believe there is supposed to be one more as well." He replied with a faint British accent. "Lawrence Harrow," he indicated himself, "Baz and Parker." He gestured to the two others. "Great costume by the way," the teen then added with a genuine smile, "AEGIS Agent chic is always a classic choice." At Consuelo's question about whether any of them were invulnerable, Lawrence gave another small smile. "One or both of these two might fall in that category, I am generally more in the 'avoid getting hit' camp."
  16. Multi-Girl Bernadette was soon as board as many of the other students as the traffic ground their progress to a halt. Of course, while the redhead could probably run the rest of the way faster, it would hardly be an overly enjoyable means of finishing the trip, compared to some of the means of getting around other students’ powers provided. So, she tried to make do with just sitting back and waiting for the bus to finally get them there. When Consuelo got her attention, the Irish teen looked at the other girl for a moment before giving her a grin. "As if I'd need ta resort ta usin' duplicates." She replied as she grabbed one of the cans of soda as well.
  17. Multi-Girl Bernadette watched Neko's practiced ploy to get new followers and/or purchases from her sponsored business with a slight hint of amusement. As Michael observed, the catgirl was very good at marketing her channel and brand. The redhead herself was interested in trying to learn some of Neko’s tactics, given her aspirations of being a singer, but right now she had another task on hand. "Alright, alright, enough marketin' fer now." The Irish teen stated with a small grin to Neko. "I still need ta finish Michael's tour, or the 'eadmistress will have me an' me duplicates clean the entire school with toothbushes. Yer welcome ta come along if ye wish." She stated looked over at Michael and gestured along the path in the direction they had been heading. "Ta answer yer question from earlier, the buildin' ahead o' us is the main quad, an’ is really several different buildin's connected together. Most classes are held in those buildin's, an' there is the cafeteria an' library as well."
  18. Multi-Girl Bernadette had tried a couple times over the years to get a spot on the fieldtrip to the Albright Institute, but had failed to obtain a spot on her prior attempts. She had all but given up at this point, but had decided to make one last attempt and actually managed to get a spot. As the redheaded teen climbed aboard the bus, she was momentarily confused as she saw so many other students crammed toward the front of the bus, but when she spotted the signature green hair in the back she understood. Giving a small nod to a couple other students she knew, Bernadette made her way towards the back of the bus where Consuelo was sitting alone. "Hey, Suelo. Yeah, finally got a bloody spot on this trip." The Irish teen replied with a smile as she took a seat next to the other girl. When the younger girl showed her stash of contraband drinks, Bernadette gave a small grin. "Nice, that should help make the drive through traffic bearable."
  19. Yay!
  20. Multi-Girl Bernadette gave Consuelo a small smile and nod at her thanks for helping get her things to her room (well, a couple of the redhead's duplicated helping anyway). But that was quickly replaced by a confused look at Neko had an intense reaction to the green haired sixteen year-old and sped off down the hallway yelling something in Japanese. The Irish teen was turning back toward Consuelo to apologize when the younger girl indicated that was a reaction she was used to seeing and started off towards her room. Glancing up at Rosalinda a moment, Bernadette instead turned to the blue haired new arrival. "Hello, welcome ta Claremont. I'm Bernadette an' this is Rosalinda." She said in greeting with a distinct Irish accent. "We're a couple o' the seniors on the floor." But it was just then that Consuelo had flown right back beside her, making the redhead start slightly in surprise (and likely as a result of the unnerving field that emanated from the green haired teen). But just as she was starting to feel a full dose of the effect that had cause Neko to react so strongly, Consuelo had thrust a black friendship bracelet into Bernadette’s hand, which instantly began to counter the effects. "Umm, wow, this does seem ta help." The Irish teen managed to respond as she looked at the bracelet and then back at Consuelo. Slipping the bracelet on, Bernadette found she no longer felt the strange effect around Consuelo.
  21. Timeout Lawerence smiled at Baz's confident response before turning to the sound of Paker arriving. "Hey Parker." The teen responded with a small nod in return before looking back out at the Spartan room around them. "No, never trained in here before. But I understand Deadalus built it, so I expect it is similar to what the Freedom League uses." Lawrence stated in response before looking back to Baz and Parker. "So, fully holographic hard light generators and other technology that can basically make this room feel, sound and even smell like pretty much anywhere. And of course, can be used to create simulacrums of any threat that has been programed into the system."
  22. Multi-Girl "Yeah, the chapel is rather quiet. I often go there fer some quiet, that an mass." One of the Bernadette's responded, pulling a small cross chain out from under her hoodie a moment before letting it hand free once more. As Michael mentioned various ways her power could be useful, the two Bernadettes gave each other a knowing look before the original looked back at Michael again with a sly smile. "Yeah…one o' me duplicates is just finishin" up math class right now." When he mentioned being willing to try out lacrosse, the redhead brightened up. "Oh, I'd be happy ta show ye 'ow ta play lacrosse. Catchin' an' passin' with the sick is probably the biggest learnin' curve, but I sure ye could pick it up." The Irish teen was just turning back to focus on the tour and the large building ahead of them when she heard the familiar voice of her roommate emerging from the gardens, which caused her to stop a moment to greet the other girl. "Hi Neko." Bernadette said with a warm smile. "Yeah, this is Michael Adon, just givin' him the tour."
  23. Multi-Girl Bernadette gave a small smirk as Michael launched into a barrage of questions, but that quickly shifted back to a small smile as the redhead continued leading the new student down the path towards the main quad. "I have gone home over the summers an' longer breaks." She began. "As fer the faculty, its rather small, an' I imagine the opinion o' each will depend largely on who ye ask. They are all well versed in their subjects, which includes some ye won' find at even other private schools, though, not too suprisin,' given the students here." As she turned to the questions on sports, the Irish teen's expression became slightly downcast. "Well…we do have some intermural teams, but don' compete in any leagues with other schools or such. I mean, it wouldn' really be fair, seein' there are many here that are physically far above any normal teens. I fer one am stronger an' faster than any normal teen boy our age." Bernadette responded with a small shrug. "Besides bein' so far from home, the lack of true competitive sports was probably one o' the hardest adjustments fer me when I started here." The redhead continued. "I played lacrosse," she pointed at her hoodie, "an' I still keep at it, sometimes with others, but often on me own." With that, Bernadette gave a grin and suddenly an exact duplicate of the Irish teen appeared beside her. "In a manner o' speakin'." The duplicate replied with a grin of her own. "I can create duplicates o' meself," the original Bernadette continued, "an' lacrosse an' other team sports is a good way ta practice coordinatin' with them." The two Bernadettes led Michael through a gate in the low wall that had run south of the path and into an semi enclosed section of the school grounds, off to their left were two somewhat smaller buildings, side by side, and next to a much larger building that was directly ahead along the path. Off to the right side was an area of well manicured bushes, flowers and other plants. "So, these are the gardens." One of the Bernadettes stated, indicating the area off to the right. "There is a Japanese style zen garden in there as well. Some students like ta go there ta meditate, not somethin' I quite have the patience fer." "An' over there is the combination o' the auditorium an’ gymnasium." The other redhead stated, indicated the larger of the two smaller buildings. "An' the St. Thomas Chapel." She added, indicating the smaller building between the auditorium and the larger building ahead.
  24. No worries Sailor, figured it might have a slow start this weekend.
  25. Multi-Girl If Bernadette was surprised by Michael's floating off the ground slightly as they went, the redhead did not show it. Instead, the teen just continued talking as the two made their way along a path that led toward the center of campus. "Oh, me family hasn' moved ta Freedom, they are still up in Boston. I began here two years ago when I was sophomore, after me powers developed over the summer. Ah, really didn' have good control over them at the time, so was sure ta have caused a problem had I stayed in Boston." Claremont's grounds where pretty much what one might expect of an East Coast boarding school or an Ivy League college, spacious green spaces and large, Victorian style brick and stone buildings. Bernadette pointed to one such building which was north of the path they two were walking on, across a large open space and partially behind the administrative building. "So, that's the residential building fer staff that live on campus." She began, before pointing over to the northest where there were two similar buildings next to each other. "Those are the student dorms, which is where we will end up." "The north end o' campus," she pointed to a space between the staff residential building and one of the student dorms, through which Michael could see large green space that continued much further north., "has the athletic field an' pool, we can head up there if ye want after hitting the main quad and surrounding buildings."
