Veronica Danger While Veronica had begun her first term at the Sorbonne in Paris, the young Danger’s mystical powers allowed her to easily move between the City of Lights and Freedom City. After attending a meeting at the headquarters of Danger International earlier in the day, Veronica had come to the manor to spend a bit of time at the family estate before heading back to Europe. So it was only a few moments later after receiving the call from Ace that brunette young woman made her way into the conservatory. The teenage Danger was dressed in her typical attire, black cargo pants, a red T-shirt over which she wore a light brown long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of well worn-in hiking boots. "Flexibility is Davyd's specialty." Veronica called out as she walked over toward the trio, a grin on her face. "Good to see you again Davyd." She added as she moved up next to her classmate and gave him a hug. "Andi." She added, giving the otherworldly woman a small nod and a warm smile.

Veronica Danger Veronica had spotted the others beginning to gather as all the various groups of mages and other magic users gathered that night managed to find their ways back towards the entrance to the great hall. Looking through the walls, the young Danger took a few moments to study the threat that lay beyond as she listened to the others starting to discuss possible strategies for facing the threat. Looking back towards the others, her eyes seeming to focus back on what was in front of her once more, Veronica spoke up as several volunteered to make direct attacks on the threat to hopefully distract the Carrion Queen while others sought to banish her once more. "I have had a few moments to study the nature of her magic. I should be able to offer protections from that magic for those that need it, but keeping those protections up will be about all I am able to do contribute." "Also, I would note that this Carrion Queen is gathering her magic and testing Parkhurst's wards. They are holding for the moment, but it likely will not be long before they fail, so we should not take too long in deciding what we plan to do."

GM As Cat-Sith started stalking further into the building, he moved through the empty apartment and toward the hallway beyond. The hallway stretched left and right, several other old, battered doors lining each side of the hallway in either direction before each branch of the hallway turned towards the back of the building. A short way toward his right, Cat-Sith could make out what appeared to be the entrances of a pair of elevators, though what condition those might be in was likely questionable. As he had been focused to his right, the sound of some footfalls to his left almost startled the teenager. Darting out of the doorway and across the hall to another open doorway into what appeared to have once been a laundry area he peered back out to see two young men come around the corner of the hallway. One was carrying an automatic pistol and shining a flashlight along the hallway, aiming it at the doorway where Cat-Sith had just been standing. Just behind the man was another gang member, carrying a submachine gun. "Common, the motion sensor picked up something entering into the apartment ahead." The man with the pistol stated quietly to the other. "It is probably just another dumb bird." Responded the man with the submachine gun as he followed after the first as they made their way toward the apartment where Cat-Sith had made his entrance into the building. Outside, Nevermore directed his drone up towards the roof of the tenement building. The dirty roof had several old pieces of mechanical equipment located there. There was also a door that lead into a roof access area which was likely connected to one of the main stairwells within the building. There was no sign of any sentries or guards on the roof, however, the drone spotted a device similar to the one it had detected on the front of the building, this one located just above the door leading into the roof access area.

Veronica Danger (with Lulu) Veronica gave a small glance toward Lulu and a smile at her friend's statement. "You are more than welcome. As I originally said months ago, what is the point of such an adventure if I cannot share it with some friends." The teenage Danger the focused back on the barren terrain ahead of them as the Mini continued speeding across the rough, rocky ground. Occasional bumps sent the small vehicle slightly airborne at times before bouncing back down and continuing through the white desert. The next quarter an hour or so continued on much the same, with Veronica keeping the Mini on track as Lulu called out adjustments to their course to keep them on the most optimum path. Finally, about one hour and sixteen minutes after they had left the way stop, Veronica and Lulu arrived at the location of the first overnight stop of the rally. The white, chalk covered sands of the white desert had fallen away behind them and in a large, open flat were countless tents, campers and other such temporary structures stretching out in front of them. Passing by the time marker that indicated the end of the first stage, Veronica was able to drop the Mini back down to a much slower, reasonable speed as she began to steer towards where the Danger International team would be staying the night. Looking about Lulu could see dozens of people moving through the various tents and campers, some gathered around rally cars there were in various states of disassembly as maintenance checks and repairs were being carried out. Off to the west, the Lulu could see the beginning of a vast collection of sand dunes. "There it is, the Great Sand Sea." Veronica stated with a grin as she glanced over to the west a moment before focusing on slowly steering the Mini through the crowded area. Lulu knew from studying the course for the rally that they would be spending the next two days crossing nearly five hundred miles of the dune covered desert that covered much of western Egypt and parts of eastern Libya. About an hour behind Liz, Davyd and Micah were still barreling through the hot rocky terrain, having just reached the White Desert as they began the final stretch for this first day. Micah’s tablet alerted him that Veronica and Lulu had reached the overnight stop. The telemetry for the Mini was not quite as good as it had been for the first half of the stage, there appeared to have been some loss of overall power output, but it still seemed to be handling well. Liz was still managing to keep the massive Kamaz support truck at just shy of 80 mph as she steered it clear of the massive white chalk outcropping that dotted the White Desert. Davyd was busy checking their course and keeping them on course.

Sri Kath'lana Kath'lana was standing to one side of the bridge of The Star Lance as the vessel approached Arcturus Orbital City, which was visible out of the viewport. The F'terrix Star Knight was still in her armor, although her helmet was retracted for the moment. Her green cat-like eyes studied the vast orbital city before them for a few moments before glancing at the others gathered on the bridge. "How do we want to proceed?" The young Star Knight asked. "We need to identify the group’s base of operations. I would expect they operate close to one of the star ports to avoid having to move any illicit goods any further than necessary between wherever they store them and transports."

GM Arcturus Orbital City, Dreeda III, Lor Republic Along the inner edge of the Perseus Arm Lor Time Mark 1993.1 (June 28, 2021 Terran Calendar) Before the Incursion, Dreeda III was simply a small, but growing Lor colony on a verdant, habitable world. Like many such worlds within the Republic or other Coalition controlled sectors, Dreeda III's population saw exponential growth as dislocated populations were resettled. To accommodate the massive influx of beings, entire cities had been built across several continents while two orbital cities had been placed in orbit over the world, helping to handle the vast influx of space traffic that the world started to experience. It was toward one of those orbital cities that the somewhat motley group of cosmic adventurers were travelling to further Star Knight Kath'lana's investigation into a smuggling ring that was operating out of the system. Currently the four individuals were aboard Space Ranger's spacecraft as it approached the main spaceport of Arcturus Orbital City.

Mentors Velocity: A member of the Freedom League and longtime superheroine. Not sure if any of my other PCs would truly work, but if someone was interested we could try to figure out a way to have them brought in. Synapse is connected to the Ministry of Powers in the UK and is currently Shadowborne's guardian (so already has a connection to her). Students Multi-Girl: would probably be happy meeting any famous superhero, but practically speaking she needs some practical combat training to make her more efficient in a fight and how to use teamwork with her duplicates (things like set up for herself and fast acrobatic dodge, etc).

Veronica Danger Veronica had taken a nap on the flight from Egypt, so was full of energy once they landed. Of course, that energy had to be contained somewhat as they dealt with customs. Thankfully Prudence, and Danger International, had smoothed the path ahead for J'onn, considering he was traveling without a passport. The pair made their way outside the main terminal towards where Prudence had arranged for the two Danger Cycles to be waiting. Veronica smiled as she saw the two vehicles parked next to each other and made her way towards them, biometric locks activating at her touch. With a wave of a hand she created the hole in space from which she withdrew a motorcycle helmet as she moved up next to one of the cycles and looked back over towards J'onn. "So, have you ever ridden a motorcycle before?"

GM As all of the team finally was able to check in and begin discussing further plans for converging on the suspected location of the street gang, Simon was already up at the front of the building and planning to move further in. Leaping up to a window sill on the second floor, the teenager in cat form was easily able to slip into an opening between some of the boards covering one of the windows and into the dark room beyond. Unfortunately the opening was too small for Nevermore's drone to try to follow. Inside the dark room that appeared to have once been an apartment, Simon was met with the strong odor of mildew and mold. There was some old furniture in the room that had certainly seen much better days, some of it even broken and cast to the side. The room consisted of a living/dining room area with a small kitchen, with all the main appliances missing and half the cabinets broken out. A dark hallway led back to what was likely the rest of the apartment, while over near the kitchen was an opening where the apartment door had once been located, leading into a common hallway beyond.

Multi-Girl Bernadette watched with a small bit of shock as the figure in the painting seemed to react in almost a panic at the fact they had noticed her moving and somehow moved out of the image she had been a part of and moved through other artwork throughout the church until she ended up in the paintings on the ceiling. While not exactly ready to accept a miracle as Owain seemed at first to be, the Irish teen was still a practicing Catholic, so made a sign of the cross as she watched the scene before her for a moment. All the copies of Bernadette continued to watch the scene as the rays of light stretched out above them and formed a glowing orb up at the top of the dome. She was vaguely aware of what Neko stated about the painting, not initially recognizing the word which Owain and Ryder clarified as a spirit related to the building. The redhead was quite as Neko began seeing what sort of food might still be in the old building and Owain indicated his intent to take a closer look at what was going on above, as he turned himself into a raven and flew up toward the ceiling. When he called down that he could hear the echo of a song from the images of the celestial choir, Bernadette looked over at Ryder. "Maybe they were reactin' ta the music?" She suggested. "Like, it somehow helped give them energy?"

Paradigm Amara Val-Ren had been listening to Sitara's questions and the responses from the two Lor members of the Colonial Scout corps and Chiliarch Detinson as the Naram gazed out the viewports in the conference room where they were meeting at the new wormhole that had appeared near the former location of Lor Van. Not far in the distance (at least to Amara's vision) were the Lor orbital facilities and the numerous vessels (both military and civilian) gathered around the older wormhole formed by the Communion and part of the wider network. The last time the leader of the Praetorians had been in this system had been to assist in the recovery of a cargo vessel that had almost been lost to the older wormhole. Turning back to look at the others as Sitara and the Chiliarch finished their exchange. "We will do all we can to help retrieve the personnel aboard the lost vessels Chiliarch Detinson," Amara began before looking over toward her friend and teammate, "and see if we can possible save any of data they may have collected as well."

Veronica Danger (with Masque and Invisigirl, moving out of the Kitchen) When Invisigirl initially made them all disappear, Veronica had still been able to see Masque, due to the magic aura her friend radiated. But then the younger teen turned off her powers for a moment so they all reappeared and force open the door to the kitchen. After Masque had finished her debate with her duplicate, the teenage Danger looked at the other two. "Well, hopefully Masque's duplicate will be good enough to fool Parkhurst if you can keep us hidden Invisigirl." "I can still see Masque when you have us invisible, you will have to try to stay near us by voice." Veronica went on. "I will try to watch for any sign of the building trying to wrap us back away from moving back toward the main hall, so be ready if I give any instructions." "So, we ready?"

Veronica Danger With everything already in place before Veronica and Lulu had arrived, Micah was able to get straight to work on swapping out the Mini’s batteries and checking the vehicle over for any potential issues. After Veronica grabbed a quick bite to eat, the teenage Danger was helping Micah out on the Mini. "I think we will be okay for now, but will certainly want the extra padding once we get to the dunes tomorrow." Veronica replied with a small smile. Once the change out was done and the other checks completed, Veronica and Lulu were back in the Mini and off again to start the second leg of the stage. In short order, the pair were speeding through rocky desert similar to what they crossed that morning. It was not long before they turned south/southwest and began to drop in elevation as they entered the Farafra depression. "Things are seeming slightly more sluggish." Veronica stated over the radio as the Mini speed through the desert heat. A little over half an hour after leaving the way stop, Veronica and Lulu entered into the White Desert. Stunning white chalk rock formations were scattered about the landscape, making it appear almost otherworldly. Micha/Elizabeth/David After Veronica and Lulu were off, the other three Claremont teens began loading everything back into the Kamaz truck to get back on the road themselves. Once everything was stored and secured, they were all back in their places in the cab and Liz fired up the truck’s engine once more.

Not a great drive roll for Veronica with a 19 but with the bonus from Lulu's nav check, ends up a 20, which is also where Liz ends up after the boosts from Davyd's nave check and Micah's mechanics check.

Veronica Danger "Yes, something like that." Veronica replied with a smile as J'onn asked if they were on a treasure hunt. "And given what the sleezy leader of those guys in the desert said, I would expect that our chances of seeing them again is pretty good." She then added as she continued studying the table for a few moments before standing back up. "Looks like our next stop is Europe, Germany to be exact." The teenage Danger stated, looking back toward the interior of the townhouse. "Prudence, I need you to arrange a vehicle in Hamburg. The next stop is to the west of the city near the Elbe." With that, Veronica picked the table back up off the table and returned it to her extra-dimensional storage space.

Multi-Girl Bernadette thought she might have figured out Owain's riddle, but Natalia beat her to the answer. The redheaded Irish teen focused back on her work as Ryder had one of the Robugs move onto one of the old speakers for the church's sound system. She started slightly as the loud heavy metal began blasting from the speaker, but then relaxed. While not exactly her taste in music, the teen was interested enough in music in general that she was able to appreciate the skill and techniques used by the members of the band. She had just been about to fully focus on her work when she saw Ryder face off away from any of them and wave in a friendly manner while apparently addressing someone. Surprised that there seemed to be someone there (and partially worried given the fact she had numerous duplicates wondering around) Bernadette turned in the direction Ryder was facing and saw the figure in one of the images of a saint moving her head in beat with the music. The Irish teen froze in surprise at the sight, unsure what was going on.

Multi-Girl Bernadette felt her adrenalin spike at the sight of several people lying among the planters, not just the boy's mother. But she had no chance to really take in the magnitude of what was going on. "Ow!" Bernadette exclaimed as the baseball struck her hand and knocked her phone away. The redhead spun toward the voice, putting herself between the man and the young boy. A scowl came over her face as the man spoke. Suddenly, there were half a dozen other Bernadettes around her, one of whom started leading the young boy away from the scene. "I don' know what the bloody hell yer supposed ta be, but these people seem ta have a bad dose an' I'm gonna get them help." "You can either stop actin' the maggot an eff off, or we can start millin'!" The redhead stated, her Irish accent thickening with her anger. Multi-Girl (Duplicate) Where the bloody hell are all the security guards? Thought the duplicate Bernadette had sent to try to get some immediate help as she looked around the mall to no avail. But then she spotted a group of other Claremont students. While she recognized them all, she did not know all of them particularly well, having really only interacted with Charlie and Murine (who was on the same floor in the dorms). Realizing that there was no more time to continue searching for a security guard, the redhead ran over to the group of Claremont teens. "Charlie, Murine! I….the original Bernadette is in a spot o' trouble!" The Irish duplicate exclaimed, as with the original, her accent thickening due to stress and adrenalin. "There are a bunch o' people that are hurt, or sick, or somethin' an'’ before she could call 911 some wanker dressed like a baseball supervillain or somethin' knocked her phone out o' her hand with a baseball." The duplicate explained quickly. "Can one o' you call 911 to get some EMTs ta help these people an' then we need ta get back ta help the original."

Veronica will try to aid Micah on the work on the car (she has Jack of All Trades and the bonus would be the same whatever check he makes), she gets a 22, so that is a +3 on Micah's roll!

Velocity Megan smile as Lynn talked about arranging for some time to herself with her sister watching after their father for a bit. When she turned to the subject of Lawrence possibly helping out at the bookstore, the blonde woman gave a small shrug. "Well, actually, Lawrence is old enough to legally work for pay, if both he and the bookstore obtained the proper employment certificates." Megan replied and then quickly added. "We have looked into it recently." "But really, this is about helping you out, and giving Lawrence a taste of real life responsibility."
