Velocity Megan sat quietly as Lynn spoke, taking a few sips of her own wine, but otherwise focusing on her friend. When Lynn mentioned her father, the blonde glanced up at the ceiling a brief moment before focusing back ahead. "It sounds like a rough time for him, I am glad you are here to be able to help him through things." She replied with a sympathetic smile. "It is always good to have family around when there is a family loss such as yours." "But….you have not quite answered the question. You have clearly been there for your father and the rest of your family. But how are you holding up? And is there anything I can do for you?" "Do you need any help here at the bookstore? I can have Lawrence stop by to help a few days a week. He's fourteen now and certainly could use something to help keep him busy other than video games." Megan added with a small smile.

Sri Kath'lana "I am already thinking this might be a mistake." Kath'lana muttered under her breath at Corsair’s exuberant comments. Quietly sighing, the Star Knight looked at Space Ranger and then the others. "I have been investigating a smuggling operation that is operating out of this system. So far, I have been able to confirm that it is based out of facilities on one of the orbital cities around Dreeda III." The F'terrix Star Knight stated to the others. "When all of this," the Star Knight gestured around the cantina, "came up, I was in the process of determining the best means of approaching the operation more covertly to avoid alerting them to my investigation and allowing them to slip away before I could fully shut the operation down."

Multi-Girl Bernadette felt a slight sense of panic as she saw the woman’s feet lying in the planted bushes, but she reflexively gave the young child a reassuring hug. As she did, one of her duplicates appeared behind her and set off immediately to try to find a mall security guard or other mall employee to alert. "I will do what I can." The redheaded teen said to the young boy as she moved over towards the prone figure. "Or at least get someone that can help her." As she moved forward, Bernadette took out her cellphone and began calling 911.

Velocity "That sounds wonderful." Megan replied with a warm smile as Lynn previewed what the pair were having for dinner. The blonde woman then picked up her wine glass so Lynn could poor the wine, laughing slightly at Lynn's story about how she had not liked kosher wine as a child. "Well, not at all uncommon to dislike something as a child and then grow to enjoy it when older." Megan raised her glass to Lynn’s toast. "And to another decade and a half. After all, beating the odds is what being a superhero is all about." After taking a sip, Megan lowers her glass and looks over at her friend. "Again, I am so very sorry to hear about your mother. How have you been holding up?"

Velocity "Hey, good to see you as well Lynn." Megan responded, returning Lynn's hug as best as she could while still holding the treats she had brought. The blonde woman did not mind the intensity or length of the hug, having missed Lynn as well. As Lynn took the ice cream to the fridge, Megan moved slowly through the bookstore, enjoying the moment to move at a normal speed for a change. While she was very family with the store, having been here a number of times since Lynn had returned from her time in Colt's home dimension, it had been awhile. Taking a seat, she gave Lynn a warm smile as the other returned to the main section of the store. "I think I will start with a glass of wine, thank you."

Veronica Danger (In the kitchen with Masque and Invisigirl) Veronica gave a small wave to Invisigirl when Masque introduced her as the teenage Danger had another distant look as she slowly looked around the kitchen again, seemingly looking through the walls to whatever lay beyond. "Well, the building is trying to contain the Carrion Queen, to keep her from escaping out into the city." She answered Invisigirl's question. "It would appear it felt it best to remove everyone from that area as it works to contain her." As Masque suggested starting to walk back toward the main hall, Veronica frowned slightly and focused back on the other two. "Doesn't look like it will be as simple as starting back toward the main hall on foot. The magic the building used to move everyone is still very much in place. If we start off out of one of the exits, it seems we will end up right back here." "So, we either need to find a way to convince the hotel to let us get back to the others and the main hall. Or….a way to trick it into thinking we are still here when we leave."

Hey Kaede, as mentioned in chat, the Ref team is good with the concept (an AI for a larger advanced space craft that can transfer into an android body to interact directly with other PCs). However, there are concerns with the mechanics and this pushing things in a direction we do not want to encourage. The Ref team prefers this to be done with the space craft form as a vehicle. Here is a first draft of the large form of Armada as a vehicle. Building it this way focuses the use of equipment points on the basic vehicle states (size, strength and toughness) adds the features to make it a large vehicle that can have crew members and passengers and powers. I generally stayed true to how you were building the powers, but took the opportunity to make some changes and address some issues I had overlooked before. As it is built right now, it costs 64 ep in total, or 13 PP (with 1 ep unspent at the moment). So, you would need to free up 13 PP on the android body to pay for the ship (I would suggest dropping the Healing power as a start). So, as the vehicle is built, it has -12 to atk/def, which would totally cancel out the android PC’s ranged attack bonus as currently built. So, I put 2 ranks of accuracy at the top level of the Munitions Array (which means it applies to ALL the powers in the array) and each slot has attack focus (range) to make the final attack bonus with any of the powers in the array +5. This allowed me to drop the total cost of each power slot and lower the overall cost of the array. For the movement array, I removed the Limited (Only on Land) flaw, as with flight, that is not an appropriate flaw. For the super-movement: Space Travel, I removed the distracting flaw, as the use of space travel is almost always non-combat, so this flaw does nothing. For the Super Senses in the Radio array, I dropped the vulnerabilities, as I am not sure that is an appropriate way to place those, and those also do not appear to be applied to the cost of the 11 ranks of super senses. Changing the action to Standard action is actually a -3 PP change here (all the way up from a passive ability (that does not even take a free action)) I added some detail in the main cannon slot of the Arsenal Array, which revealed and issue I had not focused on before. Namely, that the way you have built this is when it is applied to any of the attack powers in the Munitions array, it gives them a range increment that is more than twice their maximum range. This is generally fine, but not the most efficient use of points. This also raises another issue with this long range of an attack. As it is built, it makes those Rank 15 attacks have a maximum range of a little under 30 miles. The problem, is the ship (and the android PC) do not have a means of actually noticing targets at those ranges to even be able to shoot at them. There is certainly no way a human sized target could be spotted to target, I am not even sure another vehicle the same size as the Armanda spacecraft could be seen to target. The issue is that the super sense you have built is flawed so that it requires a standard action to use. So, unless you are going to surge every round, you can never use the super senses to effectively use the long range the guns. But this can at least get things going towards working on the redesign. The Android body will need some changes (perhaps following some of what Durf was saying the other day in character creation on discord). Is at least going to need the Pilot skill to actually pilot the spacecraft. Also, one thing that is left off the original character, you do not indicate what their default language is. If it is English, they are going to have a hard time communicating in space, as the standard language in space is Gal Standard. Armada spaceship [64 Ep total] = 13 PP Size: Awesome (-12 atk/def; STR 60; Toughness: 15) [5 ep] Str: 75 [3 ep] Toughness: +15 Features: [12 ep] Navigation System 2 [+10 Navigation checks] Computer Fire Prevention System Hanger Holding Cells Gym Hanger (only Huge or smaller spacecraft) Infirmary Laboratory Living Space Security System Workshop Powers 8 + 6 + 10 + 14 + 6 = 44 ep Movement Array 4 (8PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power 1) [8 ep] Base Power: Fight 4 (Engines (Heat, Magnetism, Plasma) {8/8} Alt: Speed 4 (Land Mode); Super-movement 2 (Sure-footed 2) {8/8} Super-Movement 3 (Space Travel: Intergalactic) [6 ep] Munitions Array 5 (10 PP Array: Feats: Alternate Power 2; Accurate 2; Drawbacks: Action 3 [Full Action to change configuration]; Distracting [When changing configuration]) [10 ep] Base Power [Additional Descriptor: Ballistic Damage]: Damage 15 (AP Shell; Extras: Ranged; Feats: Attack Focus [Ranged]; Indirect 1: Flaws: Action [Full Action]; Distracting) {10/10} Alt Power [Additional Descriptor: Light]: Dazzle 15 (Flash Shell; All Visual Senses; Feats: Attack Focus [Ranged]; Indirect 1; Flaws: Action [Full Action]; Distracting) {10/10} Alt Power [Additional Descriptors: Dimensional, Ballistic Damage] Damage 15 (Dimensional Torpedoes; Extras: Ranged; Feats: Attack Focus [Ranged]; Dimensional 3; Homing 1; Indirect 1; Flaws: Action [Full Action]; Distracting; Drawbacks: Full Power, Power Loss [When in Atmosphere])(-3 PP)] {10/10} Arsenal Array 7.5 (15 PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power 2; Drawbacks: Action 3 [Full Action to change configuration]) (14 ep) Base Power: Main Cannon 15 (adds to Munitions Array: Feats: Improved Range 7 (x2,500 range increment) up to 375,000 feet; Progression [Range] 6 (x100 max range) up to 150,000 feet; Improved Aim; Precise Shot) {15/15} Alternate Power: Faulty High Explosive 15 [Additional Descriptors: Chemical, Heat] (adds to Munitions Array: Extra: Targeted Area Blast) {15/15} Alternate Power: AA Cannon 15 (adds to Munitions Array: Extra: Autofire) {15/15} Radio Array 4 (8 PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power 1; Dynamic 1; Drawbacks: Action 3 [Full Action to change configuration]; Distracting [When changing configuration] (6 ep) (Dimensional, Electricity, Electromagnetic Energy, Radio) Base Power: Super-Senses 11 (Dimensional RADAR: Radio Sense, Accurate, Dimensional 3, Distance Sense, Extended 5 (1,000,000 feet); Radius; Ranged; Drawbacks: Action 3 [Standard Action]) {8/8} Alternate Power: Communication 16 (Radio; Flaws: Duration [Concentration]) {8/8}

Veronica Danger (In the Kitchen along with Masque and Invisigirl) Veronica had given a winning Danger smile as Set drew her closer for the selfie and then checked her phone when she got the notification of Set posting it on various social media. The teenager was hardly a stranger to social media or the limelight. A younger teenager made her way up to the deity and asked to take her picture, so Veronica stepped aside to not be in the way. The teenage Danger had also been somewhat aware of the interaction between Set and Huang, as the later made his way back over toward the trio and began to question the deity. But before Set could reply to either, Veronica felt a change in the room as she looked around a moment at the changes to the mystical energy that pulsed through the walls of the hotel. That was when the rift opened and something began to make its way through. Veronica turned in the direction of that, her hands starting to glow with golden mystical energy as she prepared to possible cast some spell. But then that the second figure appeared, one that radiated powerful mystical energy of a mostly necromantic nature. And then, suddenly everything began to shift and Veronica found she was in a kitchen along with Masque and the teenage girl who had come over to ask to take Set's photo, one Veronica had noted was not magical in nature. "The hotel moved us away from the threat of that…Carrion Queen." Veronica commented as she glanced around the kitchen a brief moment before her eyes seemed to look far in the distance as she looked through the walls. "The others are scattered in other rooms or halls, all away from the great hall and the Carrion Queen." She then added after a moment before focusing back on Masque and the younger teen.

So, assigning points in one of Veronica's variable pools (Gem #1) 2 PP for 8 ranks of Kn: Arcana: up to 15 ranks (+20 with Int bonus) 2 PP for 8 ranks of Acrobatics up to 15 ranks (+20 with Dex bonus) 2 PP for 7 ranks of Notice: up to 15 ranks (+20 with Wis bonus) the extra skill point from above will go to Sense Motive, up to 7 ranks (+12 with Wis bonus) 1 PP for Attack Focus: Ranged Gem 2 was probably set on Charisma during the socializing. @Tiffany Korta When the Carrion Queen appeared, did Veronica pick up anything with her Super Sense (want me to make a Kn; Arcana check?) Super Senses 17 ("Magic Third Eye"; Magic Awareness/Detect [visual] [3]; Analyze [1]; Counters Concealment [2]; Counters Illusion [2]; Counters Obscure [5]; Penetrates Concealment [Power Loss; lead (-1)] [3]; Extended [100’ increments] [1]) [17 pp]

Multi-Girl Bernadette and her duplicates waited until Black took a picture of graffiti before starting on cleaning it off. As the redhead started too work, she was humming quietly for a bit. But when Ryder mentioned people picking music for a playlist, the Irish teen stopped humming and started singing, her duplicates joining in: I got my ticket for the long way run Two bottle of whiskey for the way And I sure would like some sweet company And I’m leaving tomorrow, what’dya say When I’m gone When I’m gone You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone You’re gonna miss me by my hair You’re gonna miss me everywhere, oh You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone I got my ticket for the long way round The one with the prettiest of views It’s got mountains It’s got rivers It’s got sights to give you shivers But it sure would be prettier with you When I’m gone When I’m gone You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone You’re gonna miss me by my walk You’re gonna miss me by my talk, oh You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone As she finished, Bernadette gave a small smile. "Sorry. Someone else can take first choice, though since yer providing the sound system perhaps you should choose first?"

Velocity Megan had of course been worried about her friend when she had learned Lynn’s mother was sick. But the Freedom League member had respected her friend’s space and, of course, had done as asked and had Lynn and her mother in her thoughts. While her concern increased when Lynn went nearly completely quiet. However, this was hardly the first time Megan and Lynn had dropped out of communication for a time, the most extensive being the years Lynn had spent in Colt’s home dimension. Megan continued to have Lynn and her family in her thoughts, and appreciated the occasional general contact from the other woman. When Megan received Lynn’s letter, the blonde woman immediately sent an email response offering her condolences to Lynn and her family and confirming she would drop by Sunday October 10th. So, at seven o’clock that night on the dot, Megan arrived at the entrance of Silberman’s. In one hand the blonde woman was carrying a bag of baked goods from an upscale bakery in North Bay. In the other, she had a half quart tub of double chocolate ice cream.

GM As the members of Grey squad moved across the rooftops of the nearby buildings, Cat-Sith moved out ahead in his cat form, dropping down to the street level to dart across the dark street toward the front of the rundown tenement building which lay to the north of where the squad was approaching from. The towering four story building stood dark up above Cat-Sith, the windows and doors at the front all boarded up and covered in graffiti. Some of the upper floor windows were not covered with boards, but were several stories above where Cat-Sith currently was crouched in some shadows. The tenement building sat at the southwest corner of its block, a single story building sitting just to the east of it, a dark, narrow alleyway running between the buildings. Cat-Sith was not picking up much Up in the air above the sidewalk Cat-Sith was on, Nevermore's drone hovered silently, its dark form blending perfectly into the night sky. Through the sensors on the drone, Nevermore was able to get a good look at the front of the building and through some of the windows on the upper floors. A small device had been placed on the exterior of one of the windows on the third floor and it appeared to be some sort of high-tech monitoring device. While some of the windows on the upper floors were boarded up on the inside or otherwise blocked by some obstruction, a few were open, allowing a view in. Most of the rooms the drone could see into were dark and appeared empty save for some furniture or occasional boxes of some kind. But through one window on the third floor, the drone was able to see through a dark, empty room and into a dimly lit room beyond. From the limited view the drone could get through the doorway between the two rooms, there were a couple of tables set up in the room. The one closest to the door seemed to have a stack of several small plastic bags filled with white powder. There were also a couple weapons visible on the table. The room was occupied, as a number of individuals moved about the room, their shadows cast on the opposite wall or occasionally passing by the doorway before stepping out of view again.

Veronica Danger Veronica was quite for a few moments as she studied the old, but not very worn, tablet. Leaning forward slightly, the teenage Danger blew across the surface of the tablet, clearing some dust that had built up over the centuries in the etched writing on the surface of the tablet. "Another ancient mystery." Veronica replied with a slight grin. "This table appears connected to a particular magical artifact." "This artifact in fact." She then added as she reached up and pulled the amulet out from under her T-shirt and holding it up for a moment before letting it hang loose once more, but outside her shirt. "I came across the amulet under some rather unusual circumstances in a bazar a few years ago. When I found it, it did not have the gems in it. I have found those in a number of places since. Still one more out there somewhere." "This," Veronica gestured back to the tablet, "clearly is referencing the amulet and the gems that used to be contained in it. It's not in any language I am familiar with, I can read nearly a dozen." She reached out and touched the tablet lightly, pointing a symbol that repeated a number of times on the tablet. "This symbol is clearly referring to my amulet. And these," her finger glided over to a few different symbols, "are the gems." She paused a moment as a slight frown came to her face and she continued to study the tablet. "But it does not seem to be a map or other set of directions to where the gems were supposed to be locate. If anything, it seems to be a map that points to other maps." "I suppose that it what the short greasy leader of those thugs in the desert was talking about." Veronica said as she brought a finger up to her lips a moment in thought. After a few moments she lower her hand and looked over to J'onn with a grin. "Looks like this is going to be a scavenger hunt. Next step is to find the next map."

Multi-Girl "A motorcycle would be pretty cool fer a modern day knight." One of the Bernadettes responded to Owain. The gathered redheads then looked forward as they focused on the task at hand. There was a lot that needed to be done, so there was no real time to waste. The multiple redheaded teens began to spread out various tasks. A few set to work beginning to collect the trash that seemed to be everywhere. After a few of the duplicates managed to get several buckets filled with water, Bernadette and some of her duplicates set to work on trying to scrub some of the graffiti of some of the walls, starting in the entrance and starting to work their way further in.

Also, please be sure to clarify for the Healing that the progression is for increasing the time for resurrection, and maybe include what the time is increased to.

Multi-Girl Bernadette had been looking at a directory for the mall, considering where she might want to go when she heard the crying from somewhere nearby. Spotting the small boy, the redhead took a moment to look to be sure there was no obvious parent that might be connected with the child. Then the Irish teen walked up toward the child. Kneeling over Bernadette gave the boy a warm smile. "What's the matter wee one? Have ye lost yer mum?"

Veronica Danger Veronica smiled slightly at Liz's comment about how strange it seemed that everyone was currently just waiting around, given the approaching danger that several present had been sensing. "Well, certainly never hurts to get a last bit of fun in if it might be your last." The young Danger stated. The brunette then gave a small nod and grin in response to Set asking Veronica to confirm her connection to the famous Danger family. "We certainly have not been shy about branding." She added. When Set held up her cellphone, Veronica’s smile widened slightly at the god/goddess' question. "Absolutely!" She stated as she moved over to stand to one side of Set.

Veronica Danger The three Claremont teens set right to work as soon as they were out of the Kamaz truck. Davyd and Liz began unloading the equipment Micha identified they would need for when Veronica and Lulu arrived in the Mini. Micah meanwhile began running his diagnostics on the batteries and other equipment and began setting up everything he would need. There was so much to do that the next half hour flew by, but the teens had gotten everything ready and even been able to get some food that they could at least start eating before the others arrived. The last ten or so minutes waiting for the Mini was perhaps the most never wracking, as other cars slowly arrived and pulled over to their rally team spots. But after awhile, they noted that a group of photographers and cameramen had begun gathering as near to the DI pit as they could get, several positioning themselves along the approach from the course. At least five more minutes seemed to crawl by before the trio caught sight of the familiar blue and white Mini Cooper came speeding into view. Slowing down slightly so as not to kick up too much dust, Veronica guided the vehicle over to the waiting Kamaz truck and her friends. There was something of a media frenzy as the photographers and cameramen all began taking pictures or recording the arrival. As the Mini came to a halt, Lulu’s tablet indicated the pair’s time for this first leg had been just one hour and two minutes. Veronica climbed out of the Mini Cooper, giving a small wave to the nearby media before focusing on her friends. "It ran smooth as could be Micah." The teenage Danger stated as she moved over to one of the tables filled with equipment. "The batteries still seems to have a lot of life left, but probably best to change them out just to be sure." "The next leg is over similarly rocky terrain, not much sand, so probably should keep the tire pressure at what we set it at before."

Multi-Girl Bernadette O'Connell looked up at the entrance of the long-neglected church and could not help but agree with Owain. Although she was Catholic and not Eastern-Orthodox, the abandonment and disrepair of the religious building still bothered her greatly. The Irish teen was wearing a Claremont uniform, although she had a rather worn light grey hoodie over the upper part of the uniform, which helped to make the lower half look simply like a pair of yoga pants. She was carrying several of the cleaning supplies that the group had been left with as she looked over at the others. "'Tis very sad ta see." She agreed. "But we have a job ta do, so best be gettin' on with it." Bernadette's eyes focused forward slightly as several of her duplicates popped into existence around her. Each of the duplicates picked up some of the other cleaning supplies. "Ryder has a good point." One of the duplicates stated. "But it can' begin its new roll for the community till we do our part."

Veronica Danger Veronica had given Huang a small nod as he had mentioned her understanding the difficulties of meeting family obligations. "Yes, I am familiar with that. I still have a personal assistant following me around constantly trying to schedule ever second of my time. Thankfully she has taken the night off." It was then that Set made their entrance. The young Danger looked over toward them as her mystical true sight studied the newcomer a moment. Veronica could see the ancient magic that permeated from Set, but also the complex web of rules which governed the obviously other dimensional being. This had her wondering from a moment about Set's presence, but given that Huang seemed unbothered by it, she expected that everything was generally within the bounds of the Pact. Veronica's attention was briefly distracted by Aquaria calling out, as she glanced over toward the Deep One and saw Heroditus. Making a mental note to be sure to get over to see her former classmate and Green Squad member, Veronica focused back on Set. "Well, hopefully this event lives up to that expectation." She replied with a grin at Set's comment about what had brought this gathering about. "But, we have not had the pleasure of meeting before, I am Veronica Danger." She then added in greeting, just as her gaze fell on the cat Haung has shooed away from Set, noting that it was not at all what it seemed. It was then that Phantom had drifted over to the group. "Good evening Madame Master Mage, it is good to see you again." Veronica said in greeting.
