Synapse Dee frowned slightly as Klara immediately engaged the large wolfman. While it was easy to take the creature's appearance as a threat, there was the fact it had just moments ago been an old man who had seemed to have involuntarily been changed. Keep an eye on those other three and see if there is anything you might be able to do to help them. The Englishwoman responded over the mental network she had set up with the other three. With that, she was surrounded by a red glow as she brought up her telekentic forcefield. Then she sent a burst of red psychic energy into the mind of the giant man-wolf, hoping to send him into unconsciousness quickly. However, the towering creature managed to shrug off the mental attack as it sought to recover from Klara's attack.

Veronica Danger Veronica wrapped one arm around the one offered by Lulu as the two made their way toward the main gym. As the two made their way through the door and into the party Lulu's dress and Veronica's racing jumpsuit certainly did offer a stark contrast. The teenage Danger smile slightly at the interior of the gym and all the decorations Danica had set up. She was also glad to see there had been such a good turnout, as she had seen how much work Danica had put into the event. "Ah, there is Adam over there." Veronica stated to Lulu, pointing across the crowded gym to where the towering form of Adam was standing.

So THIS is a good representation of the DI rally team jumpsuit we all have (only without white where there is the bit of pink and blue instead of black). The helmet would be blue and white as well (helmets are warn as it is pretty darn bumpy during these races and of course there is always the risk of rollovers, especially on the dunes). There would also be blue and white baseball caps with the DI logo for those that want them when not in the vehicles racing. Also, going to ask for a first set of rolls from everyone as outline above, so if anyone wants to make some edit requests for skills your PCs have been working on, now is the time

Veronica Danger "It is a rather stressful time." Veronica responded as Lulu mentioned all the extra things most of the Seniors had going on in addition to just their regular school work. While the teenage Danger had the same things going on, she also had long been accustom to having a full schedule of other responsibilities associated with Danger International beyond her classes and school work. When Lulu came out in her dress, Veronica gave the redhead a sympathetic look as she mentioned her concerns about how things would go after she and Adam were done at Claremont. "Yeah, things are likely to get more complicated, but if you put in the extra effort there is no reason to think you cannot make it work." She then gave the redhead a small nudge with her elbow and a smile. "But that is still a few more months away, so how about focusing on what time you have now?"

Veronica Danger Veronica gave Lulu a sympathetic look as the redhead mentioned not seeing much of Adam of late. "I hope the rally project has not been the main reason for that." She offered as the pair made their way over toward the gym. Once inside, Veronica led the way to one of the girls' bathrooms away from the main gym. "Take as much time as you need." The teenage Danger stated as she stood off to one side to wait for her friend.

Veronica Danger Out in the student parking lot….. A blue and white Mini Cooper it turned down an isle and into an empty spot. Prominently displayed on the hood of the vehicle as the Danger International logo, consisting of a globe with the letters DI across it. Turning off the engine, Veronica Danger opened the driver's door and started to climb out, glancing over at her passenger and friend, Lulu Beaumont. "Don't worry about the helmet, after I make an appearance for a bit I am going to take the Mini back to the garage to wash it and can put them away." She stated. Veronica probably would have skipped the Valentines Day event altogether after dropping Lulu off, but her roommate and friend, Danica, had put a lot of work into the party, and the teenage Danger would feel bad if she did not at least make an appearance. The pair had spent the afternoon out at an off road track getting in some time in the Mini as part of preparing for the Dakar Rally later next month. Back at the start of the school year Veroncica had asked Lulu and a few of their other Senior classmates to join her in competing in the rally. The last several months had involved a lot of driving practice as well as work on the Mini and other vehicles for the rally, as they were all converted to high-performance electric power as part of Veronica's idea of trying to show that a green energy vehicle could compete in the grueling off road rally. Veronica was still wearing her blue and white jumpsuit with the DI logo over the left breast pocket along with her standard well-worn hiking boots. "Ready?" Veronica asked, apparently unfazed at her appearance.

@Fox @Dr Archeville @Heritage @KnightDisciple Okay, I have been giving some thought into how to handle the racing aspect of the thread that would allow for all of us to contribute (not just those making driving rolls). And I think I have come up with abstract method which could work. Those involved in the vehicle maintenance (ie Micah) will be making rolls (either Kn: tech, Craft: Mech or Craft: Elec) at various points. Depending on the outcome of the rolls, he can either provide a bonus or penalty (the amount dependent on how good the roll is) which will be added to drive checks by Veronica or Liz. Similarly, the navigators (Davyd and Lulu) can make either Kn: Tech or Survival checks to similarly provide a bonus or penalty to the drive checks. I will be making similar checks for some key other rally teams to determine how each stage comes out. If people want to go and request a character edit to add or increase any of these skills to represent the training over the last few months, we can start using those checks. I also have ideas for other plot points and twists which will give people things to do during the race as well! Let me know if there are any questions.

GM Approximately 90 km southeast of Cairo, Egypt Tuesday March 23, 2021 (11:36 AM local time) The sun was approaching its zenith over the flat, rocky landscape of the Western Egyptian Desert. The mid-day sun had warmed the air until it was now in the low 90s. Suddenly, the quite calm of the rocky desert was broken as a blue and white Mini Cooper sped across the terrain, kicking up a trail of dust and sand behind it as it went. The Danger International logo (consisting of a globe with the letters DI across it) was prominently displayed on the hood and doors of the Mini. Lulu Beaumont was seated in the passenger seat of the Mini, dressed in a blue and white jumpsuit with a DI logo on the upper left side. A matching helmet with built-in headset competed the redheaded teenager’s outfit as part of the Danger International rally team that had been organized by her friend Veronica, who was seated in the driver’s seat, similarly dressed. A small IPad was in a holder affixed to the dashboard in front of Lulu, a satellite map with various GPS points up to track the Minis’ course as it began the first leg of the 2021 Dakar Rally. Lulu and Veronica had arrived in Cairo three days ago aboard a Danger International private jet, along with their friends Micah Roebuck, Davyd Palahniuk and Elizabeth Grey, to prepare for the start of the rally. Although there had been a lot of work that needed to be done, the group had managed to find time for a bit of sightseeing, in particular the Giza Necropolis with its massive pyramids, Great Sphinx and other ancient wonders. "Everything is seems to be working perfectly so far Micah." Veronica said into her headset. "I am up to 192 kmph without any issue but will probably easy back a bit until the way stop." Approximately 128 km to the southwest/south Micah was riding in the Kamaz support truck that was similarly painted blue and white with the DI logo on its sides. Elizabeth was currently behind the wheel of the massive truck, with Davyd in the cab as well. The trio had set out about an hour ago along with other heavy trucks that made up the T3 and T4 class vehicles in the rally. In addition to running this first leg of the rally in for those vehicle classes, the support trucks left earlier in order to reach the midway mandatory stop point of the first leg before the rally cars to be set up for a pit stop. Normally this would include refueling of the vehicles, but in the case of the modified DI vehicles, it would involve Micah helping to swap out the power cells for freshly charged ones. Elizabeth had gotten the truck up to a cruising speed of just under 80 mph and been holding steady at that speed as they crossed the mostly flat, rocky terrain. The desert around them was empty save for another support truck a few miles ahead of them, mainly visible by the dust trail left behind in its wake. The route had turned due south over half an hour ago, and the trio still had just under an hour until they reached the waypoint.

Synapse It should not have been unexpected that something might happen to disrupt the group’s shopping trip. Dee had long noted the correlation between the likelihood of some crime or disaster and the number of Powers gathered in one place. But the others quickly moved into action, so the new mother did not hesitate in following along. The Englishwoman followed after Mette as the other woman headed toward the man grasping his chest. As she went, she opened up a mental connection between herself and her teammates. I might not be a doctor, but I have a pretty decent first aid training. Dee initially responded to Mette as the drew near before a frown came to her face at the sight of the frost forming on the man. Though, I am not sure that is what is the matter.

Synapse Dee looked at the singlet that Mette was holding up and gave the other woman a warm smile before glancing up toward Klara and smirking slightly. "I am pretty sure Natasha is not at the point where she has much opinion about her clothes, at least so long as they are not terribly uncomfortable." The Englishwoman said to her towering friend as she accepted Klara's hug. She then glanced back to Mette once free, her smile returning. "But I think it is adorable. Thank you." She glanced over to Murine as well, her smile still in place. Shopping was not exactly one of Dee's favorite pastimes, but she was happy to have a chance to get out with her friends. The last few months since she and Erick had become parents had been hectic and sleep deprived, but wonderful and happy as well.

Veronica Danger Veronica gave Natalia a small smile as the younger teen apologized to the group. "Travel can do that sometimes." The teenage Danger replied to the other teen’s offered excuse. Turning to Eira as the other teen demanded everyone’s attention, Veronica gave a small laugh. "Probably one of your better ones Eira." The teen offered, still completely nonplussed by the Swedish teen's hostility. Veronica had just been about to continue on to her room when her new roommate arrived, causing the teenage Danger to remain where she was, though she turned to face Danica. “Hey Danica.” She began, only to chuckle at Danica's question about Prudence."No, no worries there. Prudence only comes around to bother me in person from time to time." The teenage Danger responded as she glanced back over towards Prudence, who had glanced up from her tablet with a slightly bemused look on her face.

Veronica Danger "Well, to be honest dinosaurs are a new experience for me." Veronica replied to Micah's question with a small grin. "So, without any clear idea how it might be best to go, I think we should lean towards trying to avoid and not draw attention to ourselves and give the plant eaters space." The teenage Danger waited for the Stegosaurus to move out of their path before she started along again, leading the other two Claremonters along the natural path through the jungle. Every once and awhile, Veronica had to stop and search a bit to relocate the tracks of the missing scientists before they set out once more. As the teens moved down the path, there were sounds all around them in the jungle that suggested the presence of other animals. Soon the teens reached the edge of the jungle and came to a large grassland which stretched out before them down gentle slopes towards the edge of a river that twisted along the banks of more jungle. Down along the edge of the river were large herds of dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes, from small, man-sized two legged plant eaters to massive four legged ones with long necks, many of who wadded into the waters of the river. Veronica looked out over the scene for a few moments, a smile on her face once more. She then turned back to studying the ground, looking to recover the tracks of the missing Danger International scientists. Soon she had found them, but knelt down to study something else around them for a few minutes. Looking back up at Micah and Astrid, she gave a small smile. "Caligae." She stated. "The heavy-soled hobnailed military sandal-boots worn by Roman legionnaires. Looks like Dr. Warren and Dr. Schneider encountered some of the Nova Romans." "Looks like they all headed off this way." She stated, standing back up and pointing off across the grassland in a direction that went generally parallel with the river.

Veronica Danger Veronica smiled as she watched her friends' reactions to the contents of the warehouse, the smile widening at Liz's enthusiasm. "That can certainly be arranged Elizabeth." At Lulu's guess at what the she had planned the teenage Danger moved over near the Mini as well a she responded. "That is the general idea Louise, but with a slight twist." "This is actually a Mini All4 Racing Micah, specifically designed for off-road rally competition." She stated as she moved over to the vehicle and put one hand on its roof for a moment before looking over to Micah and then glancing around to the others as she continued. "Every year, thousands of cars like this and their support vehicles" she gestured at the truck and Land Rover "take place in off-road competitions across the world. But they all run on petrol, or diesel." "I have been thinking about what I might want to do for my Senior capstone project at Claremont since last Spring. I figured I should do something in line with the conservation and environmental work Danger International is involved in, but thought I should not just take the easy path of working on an already existing project, but instead create one of my own." The teenager walked over to the engine that was near the Mini as she continued. "So, this is what I came up with. All of these vehicles are being modified with high-performance electric engines, powered by rechargeable energy cells and other modifications. So they will all be operating on sustainable green energy." Veronica continued as she almost absentmindedly picked up a socket wrench from a bench nearby to hold in her hands as she turned back to her friends. "For more than forty years, the Dakar Rally has been viewed as the ultimate test of drivers and their machines, a two week rally run in stages and covering thousands of kilometers over some of the most difficult terrain in the world. DI has entered me in the 2021 Dakar Rally being held in late March going from Cairo to Dakar on a seven thousand kilometer course across the Sahara. I would be lying if I said I was not interested in winning, but really, my main objective is just to show that a rally team operating completely green electric vehicles can be competitive. If I can do that, perhaps other teams might consider making the switch to similar vehicles. And perhaps it can help spread greater acceptance of electric vehicles in general." The teenage Danger paused a moment as a sly grin came to her face. "And of course it should be a lot of fun to try." "As for why all of you Davyd, as Louise stated, I will need a team. Not only mechanics and drivers for the support vehicles, but also navigators and others." She continued as she turned and sat the wrench back down. "I could of course just rely on Danger International staff, or even go out and hire people I might need." Veronica turned back towards the others, her grin back in place. "But what is the point of setting off on this type of adventure, if I cannot bring along some of my friends to share in it."
