Hehe. I will probably get things rolling here soon.

Synapse Dee did not have particular reason to doubt what Kay said about how some of the world's governments were reacting to the sudden creation of Rurland. Of course there was always the possibility Kay was being supplied misleading information to harden her support of Talos' new order, but at the same time, there were a number of governments Dee would absolutely expect to overreact with reckless abandon. When Kay offered for Vanguard to come and visit Rurland to see things for themselves, the Englishwoman brought one hand up to rub her cheek with her index finger as she briefly considered the offer. "I would be happy to come and visit, if for no other reason to be sure you are okay.”" She replied after a moment, lowering her arm once more. "I expect the rest of Vangaurd would want to come as well." Even as she spoke, Dee activated the mental connection she shared with her fiancé. Put the Belarus operation on hold for the moment love. We just got an invitation from Kay to walk right into Rurland as guests. The Englishwoman then looked over to Eira, waiting to see how the Swedish teen would react to the invitation.

Looks good Dok. I will post what more Heroditus is able to learn after one more post or so. Maybe KD?

Synapse Dee had continued to follow along with the tour as the students coming to see the new face came and went. There certainly had been a wide variety among the students they had seen so far, and while the Englishwoman felt it would be good for Muirne, she also knew it would be difficult for the teen as well given just how far removed this was from her previous life. When they met the Atlantean teen in the library, Dee again felt the sense of panic starting to come over Muirne as she tried to talk with Heroditus. Easy Muirne, I do not believe you said anything to insult him, more he is frustrated with his reading. Dee offered Muirne telepathically. Stepping up slightly, the Englishwoman picked up one of the car magazines Heroditus had set out and looked at the page it was open to. "Ah, the 3.9 liter twin-turbocharged Ferrari F154CD V8." She stated with her refined English accent. "Quite the powerhouse, even off the self, so to speak."The Englishwoman looked over at Heroditus with a small smile as she sat the magazine back down. "My suggestion, if you want to learn car engines, get one and spend time taking it apart and putting it back together."

Veronica Danger Veronica gave her cousin a smile as they mentioned Aunt Rachel likely blaming Uncle Ace for being a bad influence. "There are worse role models." She replied with a shrug. Veronica had been more than happy to be the keeper of Janus' "secret," not saying anything that might be contrary to the image she tried to cultivate at the school. Indeed, the two often studied or trained together while at school. In fact, between the two, it was Veronica that was perhaps the one who felt more confined at the school, and had taken as much advantage of their role in Danger International to head off on some adventure or another. "This one looks to be the same." Veronica replied as she looked into the box she had chosen. "Might want to consider donating some of it to some museums, I am sure at least the Smithsonian would be interested in some." She replied as she pushed her box off to one side near the exit. "The rest….maybe arrange for it to be auctioned off to donate to some of the foundation’s charities?" The cousins continued their work for the better part of an hour, finding a couple more boxes of old merchandise, a box full of old maps, a box of pictures that they set aside to more carefully go through later, along with all other manner of junk, old furniture and odd knick-knacks. The two Dangers had managed to make at least some noticeable headway into a small section of the spacious attic. As she moved an large drape covered chair to one side, Veronica looked past it and stopped a moment. "Hey Janus, come look at this." She said over her shoulder before focusing back in the direction of one of the attic walls.

Synapse And now I see why things got heated when the discussed Eria;s parents wanting to send her to Claremont. Dee thought to herself as she watched the two synthetic teens arguing about the propriety of listening to Talos. But the Englishwoman remained quiet, both listening to what Kay had to said and continuing to study the image of her painting as it came more into focus, committing the entire work to memory. "So, what is the common ground Talos hopes you can help bring organics to find with synthetic beings?" She asked, hoping to both continue to learn more and also hopefully keep things from reaching a tipping point between Kay and Eira such that Kay would terminate the call.

Veronica Danger When the ice had exploded in all direction, Veronica had managed to turn aside and shield her head with one of her arms. But the teenager just so happened to be generally facing in the direction Goanna had leapt once free, so she saw the massive reptilian villain as he arched up into the air and the direction he was heading, but lost him after he passed over a nearby building and beyond her line of sight. Standing back upright, the teenage Danger looked back towards her teammates to ensure no one was injured, relieved to see that Ben was still there given Goanna's obvious interest in him. When Heroditus asked if everyone was okay, Veronica gave a small nod. "I am fine, I caught sight of him leaping away in that direction," she pointed in the direction Goanna had gone, "but after passing over that building I lost sight of him."

Synapse Dee tried to get as good a look at the artwork Kay had been working on before focusing back on Kay herself as the English android focused on Eira and lauding her decision to go to Rurland. The Englishwoman caught Eira's uncomfortable glance, but remained impassive for the moment, continuing to listen to Kay. "Well, a heads up would have been appreciated," Dee responded, but in an easy going tone and with a smile, "but you are able to make your own choices. I won't say it has not caused a bit of a row in the Ministry, but if they even so much as try to claim such a thing, they will bloody well have to go through me first." "But, I am curious, how did you learn about Talos' plan to create Rurland?"

Veronica Danger "Yes, a fissure is probably the best way to describe it." Veronica stated in response to Heroditus. "I can see its boundaries, it is about five meters wide and an equal number high." She continued, generally tracing the shape of the rift in the air as she continued to study it. "I am afraid I cannot tell what dimension it leads to Micah." The teenage Danger added as she looked back at the others. "We should probably call Danica and let her know what is going on. We might need you to go back and get her Micah." Taking out the radio, Veronica keyed the button to transmit. "Chelone, this is Veronica do you copy?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back at the dig site, Kemal had climbed down in the pit to join Danica and the workers, looking at the bones half buried at the bottom of the pit. "No, these are not fossils." Kemal responded to Danica's question. He shook his head at her last question. "No, I have never heard of any sightings of anything that would match this in this region." His brow furrowed slightly as he studied the bones before he added. "In the layers above these bones we uncovered artifacts from nearly two thousand years ago. So these are likely as old, if not a bit older." Just then Veronica's voice came of Dancia's radio calling for her.

Synapse Dee could not help but smirk slightly at Eira's complaint about the connection being too "slow." But that faded immediately when the connection was established and the virtual image of Kay appeared. The image was perhaps not overly surprising, given how important art was to Kay, it certainly suggested that this was indeed Kay. "Hello Kay. It is very good to see you as well." The Englishwoman stated giving the English android a warmer smile. "No, Angelic and I are in my home in North Bay, Freedom City. Our line is being run through VERA in the Haven, not through a line at the Ministry of Powers."

Synapse Having identified the man whose mind she had sensed the unusual reading from, Dee focused back on Erick with a faked smile as if nothing were amiss. Taking a drink of her water, she continued their mental conversation. I am not sure that if that was what was happening, just it seemed like multiple copies of the same mental pattern. In any event, it was Mr. Bling down there on the dance floor. Everything seems normal about him at the moment…..but I get a strange feeling from the gem on one of his rings.

Okay, Veronica gets a 25 for hers. She caught a glimpse of Goanna as he leapt away, as did Octoman, who also saw Goanna land somewhere much further into the zoo. Dok, Artificer did not see either. It is your action, so you can go while we wait for the other's notice checks.

@Electra @KnightDisciple @Grumblefloof @Dr Archeville @Cubismo Okay, everyone gets a HP. Also, given me a Notice check (normal visual sense).

GM Although Goanna had managed to shrug off Veronica's attack, the hulking lizardman quickly found himself under a continuing onslaught of attacks from the other superpowered teens. In a moment he was partially trapped in the ice summoned by Ms. Thursday. And although he again managed to avoid the ink from Octoman, Chelone used the distraction to move up and conjure the spectral tortoise that bit him in the leg, causing another roar of pain. And then Thunderbird flew down to touch Goanna's face as lightning arched from the teen's fingertips and across the villain’s body. Goanna instinctively pulled away from Thunderbrid's touch, and though smoke again rose from this scaly hide, he seemed mostly no worse for wear. The lizardman took a moment to glance about at each of the teenage heroes that were now all gathered around him, as well as towards his now downed ally. "RRRAAAAGGHHH" Goanna screamed as he strained against the ice that had partially trapped him. Suddenly the ice exploded, sending pieces flying in every direction, causing the assembled teens to momentarily shield their eyes. When they looked back up, Goanna was no longer standing where he had been trapped by the ice…..

Well, depending on how you define "Raven adjacent" Tsunami could qualify, as her family is part of the criminal organization of Dr. Sin, which brings her in very closely with both Duncan and Callie Summers.

Darn, he makes it with a 24

Veronica gets a 26 on her Notice check and a 23 on her Drive check.

Veronica Danger As Pan flew over to hand upside down above her, Veronica rolled over into a backstroke as she looked up. "Well, never hurts to keep on your toes." She replied with a small grin of her own. "Besides, we have a lot to do today, so everyone was going to need to be getting up soon anyway." As Davyd and Adam made their way up from their cabin they found two crew members setting out an assortment of diving gear on the main deck. In addition to air tanks, there what appeared to be vests of various sizes, flippers, masks, snorkels, and other equipment. Being directed up to the flybridge, the pair found Prudence and Lulu waiting for them, a variety of food set out on the table where they had eaten dinner the night before. "Good morning." Prudence said with a smile. "It probably would not be good to have too big of a breakfast before diving this morning." She added as she indicated the setout food.

Synapse Dee could understand Eira's hesitation at believing Headcase was dead, she had a little trouble believing it herself. But attending the autopsy helped to quell those doubts for the most part. When the teenager suggested reaching out to Kay, the Englishwoman gave a small nod. "Yes, that was the reason I reached out to you." With a swipe of a hand, Dee cleared out all of the holographic screens that had been spread throughout the room save for the one Eira’s simulated image was in, closing down all the files that had been open and securing them once more. "VERA, please open us a secure channel." She said aloud to the Vanguard’s AI.

Tsunami Giang listened sympathetically as Thaelia complained about the lack of communication from Elias. While the subject was not exactly new, Giang knew it bothered her former roommate, even if Thaelia would not fully admit how much it might. In any event, while the Asian young woman might not have brought it up quite as regularly, Thaelia had certainly listened to Giang's similar musings regarding John Smith. "Elais…often allowed himself to be consumed by a singular focus." She offered in response. "But still not a particularly good excuse." Giang was dressed in the costume she wore as Tsunami, a skin-tight bodysuit that was colored in several shades of blue, their pattern seeming to almost flow and shimmer like water, along with a blue domino mask that covered the upper part of her face. While the entire situation with Thaelia pulling Heroditus out of class at Claremont and Headmistress Summers reaction to the incident had not been a situation Giang had really wanted to have to deal with, now that she was back with her friend, the Asian young woman could not help but feel happy at the opportunity to spend time with Thaelia once more. As they reached the edge of the pier, she stopped and focused back on the Atlantean princess directly. "So, how far is it to this former facility your grandfather used?"

Veronica Danger Veronica gave a small smile as Felix mentioned possibly carrying her and the Danger Cycle as they tried to follow the Centuritron. "Well, probably no need for that at this point." She replied. "I will do my best to keep up, but it does not appear the Centuritron is moving at particularly high speed at the moment, so we can hopefully catch up before too long." Putting on her helmet, the teenage Danger started up her motorcycle once more and started off down the path left in the giant robot's wake.
