  1. Veronica Danger Veronica was initially slightly amused by the cow that greeted her and Felix when they arrived in Brazil. But that feeling quickly faded as the teenage Danger took in the full scope of the situation. "Oh no!" She stated as Felix took to the air to get a better view of things. While Felix was scouting the area some, Veronica removed the silver chain from her wrist and began undoing the spell she used to teleport them from Freedom City. A she did so, she pulled out other of the small silver trinkets and quickly began working on two new spells. In short order she had two new sets of the silver symbols on two different silver bracelets, both of which she slipped over a wrist as she climbed onto her motorcycle. Turing on the engine, she switched the Danger Cycle into flight mode and rose up into the air just enough to clear the lip of the depression they had appeared in and then moved back onto level ground. Turning off the motorcycle, she climbed off and started over towards the groups of people that appeared to be injured, listening to what they were speaking so she could match their language. When Felix came flying back down Veronica gave a small nod when he mentioned his concern about trying to right the train car filled with cattle. "Yeah, no need to make matters worse. Let me help those who are most seriously injured before we go." She stated as she walked over to the most seriously injured man. <"Hello, we are here to help."> The teenager stated in the language she heard the gathered people using as she moved over to kneel down next to the man. Holding out one hand, it glowed with arcane power as she touched the man's arm to heal his injuries.
  2. As we are not currently in combat time, Veronica will reset her magic pool to: 4 points to Comprehend 2 (understand all languages and speak any one language at a time) [4 PP] Healing 10 (Feat: Stabilize) [21 PP] She will then use that to heal the seriously injured man.
  3. He does a bit better on his toughness save, but still goes down. Go ahead with an IC post Growth.
  4. Yes, easily hits and the guy goes down. You do know you can take 10 right? Go ahead with your IC post Thunder. @Growth Spurt Dog Pound is up next!
  5. No, it has been described as being under the Thames, both in the original posts Cape did and the most recent one I did in Future Shock. But if you mean it is where it has always been under the Thames and there is just another new entry point, yeah, that is easy enough to add.
  6. Now if only Dee and Erick had plans to go out to some shows....oh, wait!
  7. @Electra E, Chelone is up!
  8. Well, somehow I missed this If we are going to relocate the Haven, guess something will need to happen to the old one? Anyway, no need for you to absorb all the cost HGM, I have some unspent points in a reward slot I can add to Synapse for Equipment to help.
  9. I see one small issue, her Grapple should be +3 (BAB minus her Strength penalty)
  10. Well, not like we have not recently had/have/and are planning threads, but I figure Dee and Erick really need to met this guy, I know you have it! (maybe with him bumped up in PL slightly)
  11. Empty Shell (April 2020) Synapse Since the recent announcement by Talos various departments within the British government had been closely monitoring the situation in the territory the robotic supercriminal had purchased from the Ukrainian government, including the Ministry of Powers. But despite those troubling developments that had resulted in lots of lost sleep for Dee Farrington, she had received news out of the Welsh Marches that had pulled her away from the Haven and regular meetings with the Ministry. And so the super-genius psychic member of Vanguard found herself walking down a dim corridor on a military installation in Herefordshire. Stirling Lines was the remote headquarters of the 22 Special Air Service Regiment and its supporting units. Given that Herefordshire was one of the most rural and sparsely populated counties in England, the base had been selected as the holding facility for one of the founding members of the original Vanguard. As she followed after the pair of SAS soldiers acting as her escort, Dee’s mind was awash with various emotions. Dee and her escort reached a door at the end of the hallway, where another pair of SAS soldiers were stationed. The Englishwoman flashed her Ministry of Powers ID and the door was soon opened for her. Dee made her way through the door, leaving the soldiers behind in the hallway, one of whom closed the door behind her. The room beyond the door was small, and brightly lit, but was cold and sterile. It was almost completely empty, save for a pair of metal tables set against the far wall. Two men in military uniforms, one wearing a white apron over his, were standing in the center of the room, but it was the object around which the two men were standing that immediately became the focus of Dee’s attention. At the center of the room was a metal gurney, covered in a white sheet, under which was a form which was vaguely human, only the proportions where completely off. "Ah, Lady Farrington." Stated the older of the two officers in the room. "We have been waiting for you to begin." Dee moved forward to stand closer to the gurney as the older officer nodded to the one in the white apron, who had donned surgical gloves and a mask, giving a nod. The military doctor pulled back the white sheet as he spoke. "Begin recording, subject John Crab, aka Headcase." Beneath the sheet was the grotesque form of a human male with a massive, overly large head and a withered frail body that was far too small. Even without the doctor's announcement of the identity of the corpse, Dee knew him well enough, and the various emotions that had been swirling through her since she had first heard the news focused on one single one, loathing. "So the reports are accurate?" She asked aloud, glancing over at the older military officer. “Yes, died quietly in his sleep overnight.” The older man replied with a slightly somber tone. Bloody bastard got off easy. Dee thought to herself as she looked back down at the body of the man that had given her her powers, at a terrible cost. The older officer gave Dee a slightly concerned look as he began to ask, "Lady Farrington, are you certain you wish to be here for.." "Get on with it." Dee stated simply, cutting the man off as she looked up at the military doctor. The man barely hesitated as he gave a small nod and picked up a scalpel from a small tray beside him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Meanwhile, in Liverpool, England…. Two large trucks were parked next to the ruins of an old warehouse in the industrial part of town. The area around the building had been roped off by police, and a pair of officer kept watch around the perimeter, no one coming close enough to the scene to note the glassy look in the two officer's eyes as they went about their task. Amidst the rubble of the collapsed building were several large men who were busy working at clearing away debris to reveal various high-tech weapons and devices which were buried just underneath. As with the two police officers at the perimeter, all the men had glassy eyes as they methodically went about their work. "Get all of this loaded." Stated a figure standing at the edge of the rubble, a young man in his early twenties. Looking at the high-tech devices being removed from the debris, a small smile came to his face. "Yes, this will do nicely. Soon the new Vanguard will learn what it means to cross Headcase!"
  12. Man, Fearmaster is a terrible build, I should have completely rebuilt him He is paralyzed after only getting a 13 on his Fort save.
  13. No worries. I really need to draw a diagram of the fight
  14. Ah, missed that, nah, we will just go with it not effect him (I will correct my tracker). As for a feint, your move action would need to be to move somewhere that you can target Fearmaster II, as the ice wall is between you and him currently (Artificer is standing at one end of the wall, so exposed to Fearmaster II).
  15. Synapse I know it can be difficult in large groups with such strong emotions present. Dee responded to Lulu with a sympathetic tone to her mental voice. Find your focus, you are a fortress amidst this chaos, you do not need to let it in if you do not wish to. But even as the Englishwoman continued her mental conversation with Lulu, she continued the normal one with Klara. "Well, we can try to swing a trip while we are here. If nothing else we are getting a look at some of its students." Dee commented as she gestured as some of the teens gathered around the pool. It was then that pack of shadow dogs broke into the party, scattering about to check out everything and everyone of possible interest that was gathered there. As one of the dogs came over to her and started to try to greet her, Dee did her best to keep it from rearing up, petting it behind its ears. "Whoa, down boy." She said as she glanced up at the sound of its mistress' voice. The Englishwoman's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at the towering figure that appeared, and her perfect memory recalled Freedom League and Ministry reports on the individual. Tarva, a former Annihilist that currently lived here in the castle and was in a relationship with Ghost Girl. A wielder of shadow magic, and quite a powerful one given she had moved the entire building they were all currently standing in out of this dimension during the most recent Terminus invasion. But even as she tensed slightly, Dee let herself relax somewhat. Certainly Tarva had a questionable past, but she had been accepted and lived here with a number of experience heroes.
  16. Veronica Danger After getting the bathrobe on, Lulu opened the door in the cabin she shared with Veronica that opened onto the bow of the Horizon. Outside was Veronica, using the netting that stretched between the bows of the vessel's two hulls as a trampoline. The teen was in a one-piece swimsuit and as she flipped over and twisted around she spotted Lulu in the doorway. "Morning Lulu." Veronica said mid-flip. "Sorry if I woke you, breakfast should be getting set up on the flybridge." The teenage Danger flipped over to land on her back on the netting, springing right back up to flip back to her feet. "I will be up there in a little bit." Veronica added as she executed a front flip that carried her forward on the netting. One more bounce and the teen aimed her momentum so it carried her completely forward into a dive off into the water in front of the Horizon Her eyes adjusting to the light, Lulu saw the vessel was stationary, a small island about half a mile away.
  17. Not exactly comments on what you have thus far, but thought I would point out there are some UK based PCs and a superteam: Vanguard Might be worth at least looking and seeing if anything might fit to his backstory.
  18. Veronica will assign the last few points in her amulet's variable pool to +8 ranks Craft: Electronics (+12); +8 ranks Kn; Physical Science (up to 12 ranks (+16); she will swap the Kn; History for Kn; Technology +8 (+12) Amulet variable pool: +8 ranks Kn: Physical Science (up to 12 ranks (+16)); +8 ranks Drive (up to +12 (+16)); +8 ranks Pilot (up to +11 (+15)); Craft: Electronics 8 ranks (+12); Kn: Technology 8 ranks (+12) Her Magic pool is being set to: Teleport 10 (Extra; Accurate; Flaw: Long-range only; Feats; Progression 4 (x20 mass)) Which she will use to teleport herself, Legatus and her Danger Cycle to one of the locations she saw along the robot’s path of destruction in her briefing.
  19. Veronica Danger When Felix asked if she spoke Portuguese, Veronica shook her head. "No, unfortunately Portuguese is not something I have had a chance to pick up yet. But if it becomes an issue, I should be able to work something out." The teenage Danger then gave Felix a please smile as he mentioned possible jamming any radio frequency controlling the robot. "That is certainly something I plan to try once we are there, but might take some time to find the frequency and get something that can jam it." She responded as she began connecting some of the small silver symbols to a silver chain she seemed to have pulled out of thin air. Veronica then chuckled slightly as Felix sought to make sure she was not planning to drive to Brazil. "Oh heavens no." She stated with a smile as she finished attaching the symbols to the silver chain and slipped it over her right wrist. "So here we go." She said as she began to glow with arcane energy, one hand reaching up to touch one of Felix's arms, the other touching her Danger Cycle. Then, in a flash of light, they were gone from the Claremont parking lot…

    Dog Days (IC)

GM Dog Pound smashed through the back door of the store, stepping into a dimly lit store room beyond. Across the room, the door to the store was open, the light from beyond shining in. And silhouetted against that light was one of the men who Dog Pound had spotted outside. "What the…" The man yelled as he saw dark figure bust in through the back door and raised up what appeared to be a pistol. Back in the convenience store, Crimson Tiger made very quick work of the man that had been standing closest to the door and had been pointing a gun at the attendant behind the counter. Now that the threat of a gun was gone, the attendant ducked down behind the counter and out of sight. The two men that had fanned out through the store and had been smashing things with baseball bats turned towards the sound of Crimson Tiger's voice. They brought their bats up at the ready, but at least one had a slight look of hesitation in his eyes and he looked at the martial artist heroine.

    Future Shock IC

Synapse Dee was both listening to Erick's explanation of what he had been working on and the subsequent discussion while also busy typing away her holographic keyboard. Yes, I doubt we can completely avoid that when taking Muirne on her first outing, but if we can minimize it some, that would be idea. She responded to Erick mentally. "VERA and I are already on it." She said out loud when Klara mentioned looking into some of the police files on the organizations. Dee reached up to tap some of the screens in front of her and then made a slight gesture with her hand as if tossing something and a number of holographic images formed in the air in front of those gathered around the computer core. There were several opened computer files taken from the police servers. "Well, I think the idea of looking to shut down the source of this new designer drug sounds like a good starting point. Deal with an immediate threat and get the various organizations to calm down a bit. Maybe in the process we can generally discourage any desire on their part to start bringing in Powers."
  23. GM The twelve year old turned away from the refrigerator upon hearing that the dinner was on its way. He gave a small shake of his head when Adam asked if he wanted to play a game or something. "No, that's okay." He replied. "After dinner I will just go back up to my room so you two can watch whatever you might want in the home theater. Or whatever." Walking over toward the breakfast nook, Lawrence took a seat at one of the six chairs set around the table. "So, how has the start of the semester been Adam?" He asked as he looked over at the large teenager. "You were looking forward to starting the theoretical physics unit I believe."
