Fickle, ain't she? ;)

Yay! He's back! :D

I'd be amenable to GMing this one. But you're right, it would likely be better if this started after The Date or one of your other threads wrap up. (Grim's in what, like 5? ) But whatever you decide, we can start throwing out ideas either here or in PMs. For example, what's Grim's endgame solution on this one? She brings down one of the major mob families? Maybe she shuts down drugs/prostitution to one of the neighborhoods? I'm just trying to get a clearer picture on what you want to do.

So, you essentially want to use a PP to bump "Impoverished" up to "Struggling"?
-
Alright, then, Approved. You just need one more Judge to approve it, (which I'm lining up now) and you're well on your way to playing!
-
Okay, everything looks good, there's just one thing I wanted to bring up before I approve her. You're under caps in a few areas, and I just wanted to make sure you knew/meant to do that. For example, your max damage is +10 while your Attack Bonus is +8. This means either could be raised by 2 without breaking caps. It's much the same with your defense, where your Toughness is 9 and your defense is 8. Again, you likely already knew all this and meant to do it, but I wanted to make absolutely sure.

Reflexion - Master_Pelle - PL 11 Hero
Veiled Malice replied to Master_Pelle's topic in Archived Characters
Approved. Sorry about the wait. -
Ah, okay, that makes sense. All good there. Oops. Yeah, that's my mistake. No problem, I'll just make sure to take that into account. Okay, I'll get to the rest of it tonight, as I need to bail out of here right now. But on sheer mechanics, it looks good.

"Sorry, I meant my big brother." Daisuke put a finger to his chin in thought. "Although he's not actually my brother. I just call him that because he's so cool, and I really wish he was my brother. Anyway, Renichi looks a lot like that that guy," he said while motioning to the transformer. "Well, his face looks a little bit scarier. Like a skull, y'know? But he's really nice once you get past the whole "leave me alone, I just want to mope about" thing." His face suddenly lit up like the sun as something occurred to him. "We should find him! I found out he came here a while ago, and we could totally surprise him! It'll be great!"

*V_M bobbles ball, tossing it haphazardly to himself as he stumbles around.* Crash! "...Oops."

Man, all my GMs are fleeing! Is it something I said? (Hurry back, Heridfel. We'll miss ya! )

Robert hesitated for a moment, gripping the flashlight so tight his knuckles turned white. Then all the resolve, what little of it he had left, seemed to leave him in a rush. "All right," he capitulated, setting the light down on a nearby table. "But you don't understand. They'll make me disappear. I'm not even supposed to be here!" He settled down and looked about anxiously while walking towards the entrance to the control booth alongside Velocity. "Listen, all these people here," Robert said, motioning towards the pods, "aren't actually missing. Every single one has a double out there, doing what they usually do, living their lives. It was supposed to be the same with me. I was going to go back, take over Robert's life and wait for instructions - until you came along." Oddly enough, he sounded relieved instead of angry when saying the last part.

NP, Cos. We've come to expect this from you by now. ;)

Eh, I find debating with someone online, at least outside of a chat program, is far too limiting. I'd prefer to do it in person to get rid of the anonymity factor involved. As the essay pointed out, many people say things online they would not normally say in person because there's no accountability. I'd prefer to hold somebody up to what they said. That said, the core of the essay's solid, and very well written. I just wouldn't do it.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I love Naked Advatages. I once had a character that gave my GM fits because he had a Naked Advantage he could apply to a VPP. It's just that those are fairly advanced concepts, and not all players are ready to utilize them to the fullest extent. I wouldn't suggest either for a starting out player. (Not that Masque is.)

Actually, I meant Permanent is not a flaw when its applied to Alternate Form. A +1 and a -1 evens out to -0, still making your Alternate Form 5 points per rank, or 41 points total, given the power feat you have on it. Also, you have a +6 Fort save base. (18 base Con + 4 enhanced Con = 22, or a +6 bonus.) So you only need to apply 2 points to Fortitude to get it to 8. Currently, you'd have 10. (+6 base, plus the 4 you've added.) One more thing: You have a +6 base toughness from your Con, and another +3 impervious toughness from your Density, making your total toughness 9, 3 of it impervious. Unless I'm missing something. Oh, and don't worry about going from Champions to this. I did the same thing, and M&M is even easier once you get the hang of it. No Naked Advantages to worry about. :)

Ren strode into the cavernous underground chamber, following closely after Icarus and Lynn. "I hazard a guess that we need some kind of power source for Icarus here. Come to think of it, how the heck did you get out of the past in the first place?" he directed towards the armored man. "You said something about ASTRO labs, but as far as I know, they didn't have any chrono-spanning devices built. At least not in the 70's."
-
"No! Of course not!" Daisuke squawked indignantly. Then he lightened up and took a good look at the toy. "Although if I was, I'd definitely want to look like that. That's like a Gundam." Cocking his head to the side, Daisuke considered something for a minute as he stared closely at the Transformer. "You know, that looks a lot like my onii-chan, Renichi."
-
How about this for another idea: Daisuke is going to want to track down Nanowire at some point, (he has a serious case of hero worship going on) so we could try to find him. It won't be easy, as Nanowire keeps a fairly low profile - when he's not flattening restaurants - but that will give us a place to work from, and a nice sentimental moment when the two are reunited. What does everyone think?

"Robert" edged backwards nervously, hands held up in front of him in a placating gesture. "No! I didn't... He was already..." He continued babbling out nonsense until his back bumped into a table by the rear of the control booth. Once backed into a corner, he looked around desperately for something, anything to help him. He seized upon a large flashlight, and picked up, brandishing it before him like it was a sword. "It wasn't even my idea!" he screeched, his hands shaking terribly. "They forced me to do it! I didn't even want... I didn't even want this..." His voice had dropped to a whisper by the end. A single tear ran down his face, and his head sagged before the super heroine as the full weight of his situation made itself known to him. "I didn't want this..."

A couple things: Permanent isn't a -1 flaw when attatched to Alternate Form. All of your powers are Sustained, (with the exception of Immunity, which is specifically exempmted in the book) which means that to make it Permanent would be a +1 to duration to make it Continuous, then a -1 to make it Permanent, because only Continuous power can be made Permanent. A net total of -0. Also, how is your Fortitude +8 without any increases? I'm only getting +6. (4 from unenhanced CON, 2 more from enhanced, as a 22 CON gives you a +6.)
-
Okay, Nanowire just used All-Out attack at the full +5, which hits a 21 defense. If we're doing Knockback, that's 5000 feet Pixie is flying backwards. (And that's if you don't add in the fact that she's smaller and lighter now.) Anyway, she got hit with a +12 damage effect, which is a DC 27 toughness save. Nanowire's defense is now 13 due to the all-out attack, though.
-
Nanowire slid out of the way as the electrical bolt flew past, narrowly avoiding getting hit by whatever it was going to do. He was fairly certain it couldn't hurt him, but it never hurt to be careful. But as he hurtled towards the girl, intent on laying her out, she shrank right in front of him! "If you think that turning fun-size is going to stop me from hammering you into the next time zone," he said, cocking back his massive fist, "you are sadly mistaken." So saying, he blasted forwards on a cushion of gravitic force and drilled her dead-center, despite her small size. The force of the hit picked the girl up and flung her out of the kitchen. Nanowire followed closely behind, smashing the western-style doors off their hinges and gouging a neat half-circle in the frame with his head. He finally stopped his forward momentum after moving through an empty table like it wasn't even there. "Next," he growled, directing his emnity towards the cloned woman and her companion.
-
I took that as my cue to go. Anyway, Nanowire's making a grapple check against the spider bot, with the second part only coming into play if the first part hits.
