  1. You can, but is this the version that includes Perception? Also, be aware that effect is absurdly underpowered. That only provokes a DC 12 Will save, which the vast majority of characters on the board, including PL 6s, can make more than 60% of the time. The PL 10s you'll be up against will be even worse, and will almost certainly be able to make that roll more than 75% of the time.
  2. With a start, Daisuke finally snapped out of his stupor and seemed to take in his surroundings for the first time. He was in a house, and a nice one from the look of it. Although he wasn't quite sure what was going on, he was indebted to the magical girl for getting him out of that circus. "Hey, uh... magic girl?" he said tentitively. "Thank you for taking me out there. It was getting really boring, just sitting around all the time. So anyway... thanks." He glanced over at her minion. "So... does your skeleton come with you everywhere...?"

  4. Ren looked about the front room, and although it seemed as though something should have been different since they had switched places with "Grandpa Lou", logic apparently held little sway over whatever laws governed magic. "Nothing new out here," he yelled back to Lynn and Mr. Silberman. Well, that made about as much sense as anything that was going on here, so Ren trudged into the back room again in time to hear Lou finishing up his explanation of stage magic. He shakes his head slowly then raises his hand. "Can I just say that trusting my safety and well-being to an ancient prop from a stage magician's show seems... forgive my words, but more than a little bit unsafe?"

  10. Same with today's Penny Arcade. It's a little more subdued, though.

  16. Ren cocked his head to the side and peered deeply into the mirror as Lynn put her fingers into it. He wasn't exactly sure if touching the thing was the best of ideas, but he didn't have any of his own. "I have no idea," he admitted. "I know even less about magic than her, so anything happening here is all new to me." "But if Lynn's theory about us not belonging here holds true, and we're there now while you aren't..." he left off as he moved past the man and out into the main room. It was a longshot that the mirror had actually dumped them back into the future, yes, but that was a possibility.

  18. Ugh. A 12 to hit. And after such a good one-liner, too. So I think I have to re-roll it. Hold on... ah ha! A 25!

  20. Who the hell is that? Ren thought. Where was Lynn? What had happened to her... Oooh.. It suddenly dawned on him that this was part of her plan, drawing the woman off-guard. And judging from Jawbreaker's shocked exclamation, it had worked. Now all he needed to do was capitalize on it. He straightened up on the toilet, using the height it gave him to ram his hand into the over head fluorescent lamp. The entire fixture fizzled and sparked wildly, lighting the bathroom in a bizarre flickering strobe. Silvery wires extended from his hand, plugging into one end of the fixture. He pointed his other hand at the ostentatiously colored woman, (as opposed to the ostentatiously colored Pseudo) and the entire lower end of his arm transformed into what appeared to be glass container. Electricity arced inside the encasement, creating and even more freakish lightshow. "You have a bigger problem than you think," Ren said flatly, and then let fly with all the accumulated power at once.
