 Yeah, Daisuke's kinda... out of it right now.

A lot of things happened all at once. First, there was the part where the mermaid girl started piecing herself back together, which immediately cheered Daisuke up. At least he hadn't killed her; the girl was obviously like that Terminator from the second movie. He watched with a smile on his face that turned to one of confusion as the water droplets left the ground and collected in midair. That didn't happen in the movie, he thought And then they were someplace else again. After all of these teleportations, Daisuke was starting to feel vaguely unsettled. He'd have to talk to that magical girl about warning him before doing that again. "Hey, where are-" He left off suddenly as the mermaid girl came in and stopped in front of the skeleton, freezing up at the sight of her nakedness. In fact, he couldn't do much more than closely examine the same section of wall where she had crossed his vision. After a couple seconds, though, a goofy smile spread over his face.

I'm not leaving, at least not physically, but I really wish I was. For the past few days, those who game with me might have noticed a drop off in posts. That is because I am currently infected with the Flu that Wouldn't Leave. For three long days, I have been shambling about, trying to shake it off while attempting to avoid actually getting sick. (Before it was just a general crappy feeling) I have failed in this attempt, (just in time for the weekend, too :x ) and have thus gone from "Man, I wish these aches would go away" to "Perhaps if I pull the sheets up over my head, the world will go away". A fever of 103.7'll do that, I guess. Since I'm not entirely sure if what I am typing will actually be readable, or will come out like showtunes as sung by a drunken Oompa Loompa, I'll just say that I'll try to keep up with my threads, but I'm going to be in bed a lot. Sorry in advance to my players and co-conspirators.

Ren quirked an eyebrow at Lynn's non sequitur, then shrugged it off. Maybe she was still worried about something else? In any case, he wasn't happy that their kiss had been broken off. Man, if this is just some waiter dropping something, I am gonna be so ticked... Then Lynn... well, disappeared, more or less. She'd done it before, but he never got used to seeing it. Or not seeing it, as the case my be. He struck his head out of the same door, presumably above wherever Lynn's head was.

"Groovy?" Ren blinked in genuine surprise. "Did you actually just say groovy?" Man, that was old even in Japan twenty years ago. But that was besides the point. "Listen, I'm sorry about that. If you want, I'll put in a good word for you or something later. But for right now, we need to focus on something else. Namely, I need you to tell me where Icarus is. Like, right now." Ren squared his shoulders and brought himself up to his full height, which was shorter than Sean, but he hoped he'd at least be able to convince him he was serious. "There were very few people at the store where I saved your father from getting his head blown off. You said it was a man that talked to you, and I'm guessing that you're not on a first-name basis with the Centurion." "The only other person it could have possibly been was Icarus." Ren poked Sean in the chest. "In other words, you from the future. I don't have the time to screw around here, Sean. I need to know what he told you, and where he is. He's my only way home." He put his hands on his hips and glared at the taller boy. "So what's it going to be?" Unfriendly, yes, but he'd been getting more and more agitated the longer they were back here. He, and everyone that wasn't supposed to be here, needed to get back now.

Great, Cos. I'm really psyched about this.

That's just ridiculous. Weren't you supposed to be slowing down or something? Gratz, Bar.

Due to her ridiculous speed, Velocity's warning to Raven only reached the woman after her clothesline had rendered the concern moot. The man sagged to the ground bonelessly once Velocity's punch connected cleanly with his jaw. Of course, that meant that the rest of the journey down the stairs was a bumpy ride, marked by sounds of thumpthumpthumpthump *Clung*. The dull metallic noise must have been his head meeting the floor at the bottom of the stairs. The leader MiB shook off the effects of Raven's blow and took in the scene instantly. He was no fool. His situation here was untenable and he knew it. He took off like a shot, down the same stairway his minion had just thudded his way over, and out of sight before anyone could stop him. "Damn! Get that one! I'll handle this guy!" Raven shouted at Velocity. Her fist struck out again, catching the man in the jaw. This time, the man felt the effects, and sagged to the ground, out of the fight. Raven was just about to relax when the door at the end of the warehouse slammed open, revealing several more dark-suited men, all carrying the same weapons their unconscious comrades were. She set her jaw, and said, "You get down there and get him. I'll hold these guys off." She took several boomerangs off her belt and prepared to head into battle. If Velocity argues, Raven will say, "Just go! I can handle them, but you're the only one who can catch the leader!"

Ren's frown had been slowly replaced with a more non-committal expression as he heard nothing from the other room. What were they doing in there, anyway? He'd been standing there for... well a while, anyway, and there didn't seem to be any kind of quick end to their conversation. A couple of books had caught his eye in the meantime, especially one titled "I, Robot". " Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. Far too many things had already been changed here, and they needed to get back before their respective futures did not exist anymore. Lynn was still talking to her grandfather, so Ren knocked on the doorframe to the backroom. "Hey, I think we need to talk," he said through the material.

Well, Dale would be able to sense that she's actually still alive, even in her diffused state, so we would at least be aware that we should bring her along with us. Sounds good to me. Although Daisuke's going to be very sad and desperate until Droplet gets put back together. :)

Well, Daisuke's giving your character some thought now... he's crying over Droplet.

Daisuke blinked. And then blinked again. "No way..." he uttered, halfway between surprise and horror. He was covered in the... water... that used to be the mermaid girl. She was... everywhere. He'd killed someone while trying to save them. "" Daisuke slipped back into his native language as he scooped handfulls of water up and tried to put them together to form a cohesive whole. Pointless and hopeless, obviously, but he seemed like a boy possessed; like a man trying to empty an ocean with a strainer. ""

This time, Velocity struck true. The man pinwheeled through the air as the yellow blur barreled through not only him, but the man next to him. Both careened past their comrades, clearly out of the fight. Raven abandoned her duel with the stunned leader of the MiBs to assist Velocity with the other men. Her first punch nailed her target, but amazingly, it only knocked the man back a few steps, leaving him capable of opening fire on Raven. Fortunately, the shot went wide as the woman agiliy ducked under the blast. The last MiB finally shrugged off the effects of the flashbang, and seeing that he was in real trouble with two superheroes beating on people, tried to stagger back to the hole in the floor. It appeared that Robert had already done so, as he was no longer present.
