  1. Okay, points all add up, but I am worried about a few things. One, your attack bonus is only +6. That means you won't be hitting as much as you want to. Investing in Attack Focus: Ranged - as that seems to be the type of attack you will be using most - would be a good idea. Second, your defense bonus is only +6 as well. Your caps mean that you can have up to a +10 total there, and since your Toughness isn't stellar, you might want to look into that. Also, you are a bit light on skills. It's not a critical oversight, but in the long run, you will likely be involved in activities other than combat, and it might be a good to purchase things like Diplomacy, Gather Information, Bluff or the like. It's just a suggestion, but it might spice your guy up a bit. One last thing - how long does it take you to "Super Up"? 5 points means it takes more than a full round, so I guess that means two rounds? Is that because the liquid metal has to redistribute over his body or something? Also, there has to be some reasonable way to prevent your transformation. With your powers contained internally, I don't see how that's possible.

  3. Well, there's "Normal Identity", which is what I think you're looking for. The point values are dependent on the amount of time it takes you to become your super identity. 3 for a free action, 4 for a full-round action, and 5 for more than a full-round action.

  6. Once again, Velocity found herself outside Denton's house. This time, though, a very distinctive black van was outside. The front door had been kicked in, and sounds of a scuffle could be heard coming from inside.

  9. This will be the OOC thread for another road, just in case you need one. (It's just a good thing to have, really.) Anyway, I can handle posting duties for you little foray into heroing starting tomorrow. Tonight I kinda have a lot to do.

  12. Trying to fight the urge not to frown in the presence of Sean, Ren instead thought about how good it would be to get his hands on Icarus again. Every moment wasted here was just that - wasted. And although they might be able to simply translate back to the same point in time from which they left, the longer they stayed here, the more chance there was that something would be changed when they got back. "Well, we're not from around here, you might say," he replied, swirling his beer about without actually taking a drink. "But we are enjoying ourselves while we're here, thank you, Mr. Parker," he nodded gratefully towards his host. "I'm originally from Japan, but I'm finding life in the US to be... shall we say, exciting? The sights are wonderful to behold, and all the people have been very nice." With that last comment, Ren looked over at Lynn and gave her a wry smile.

  21. Jackson looks at her blankly for a moment, as if trying to puzzle something out. "Oh!" he says as realization crosses his face. "I don't know, the guy said they worked for some pharmaceutical company. These guys might know more..." he trailed off as he looked down at the unconscious men. "...but I don't think they're up to talking."

  24. Jackson seemed a little bit out of it at first, but he soon regained some semblance of awareness after he recognized Velocity's distinctive checkerboard costume. "Wait, you're Velocity..." he said in awe. His words were a little slurred, and sounded like they were coming from far away. Jackson was clearly concussed, if only slightly. "Yeah, we... we took the pills... the ones from the guy... but he said they were experimental..." Jackson stared off into space for a couple moments, apparently having forgot that he had been speaking. In the distance, Velocity could hear police and ambulance's sirens wailing. They were getting close. With a quick look, she also confirmed that the two would-be kidnappers weren't going to be talking anytime soon. Both had bashed their heads on whatever had been handy - the steering wheel for the driver, the metal frame for the passenger - and were unconscious but breathing. All of a sudden, Jackson recovered his wits and grabbed onto Velocity's arm. "You have to help the other guys!" he pleaded, eyes wide and desperate. "They'll friggin' disappear them if you don't!"
