It's an Acrobatics skill check for individuals. Sorry about not adding that in. Also, I forgot to add in the guy's Drive skill to the roll, so it's actually an 11.

'Kay, the van used the "pull ahead" maneuver, with a roll of 7. Velocity has a +2 due to being the faster participant starting in open terrain. The next turn will be in close terrain. (city streets) I know it sounds like they tried the "Zig-Zag" maneuver, but the IC post is mostly flavor text. You'll know when they start trying to destroy things. :D

It didn't appear that Velocity's plan worked, as the van lurched forwards, its engine roaring under the effects of being put under such strain. It whipped around a couple cars, desperately trying to shake the far more maneuverable metahuman off its tail. A chorus of honks sounded as the van cut off several cars, but the driver seemed oblivious to the chaos, or worse, trying to cause an accident.

Ren kept his gaze steady as Sean, the younger Sean, attempted to stare him down. Racism, at least directed towards him, was something new in his experience. Chinese and Koreans were largely looked down upon in Japan, but most Westerners, while seen as loud and boisterous, were treated well enough as everyone simply assumed they had money. (A trait which transcended skin color.) It was annoying to have what he looked like held against him, but to be honest, he had to feel a little sorry for the guy. Knowing the future as he did, Ren also knew that Sean's prejudice went away after a time. Probably calmed down as he got older, he thought. Then, Wait, older? Ren did some quick mental math but ground to a halt as soon as he came across the fact that 2 plus 2 was equalling fish. Vietnam was from '59 to '75, as far as he knew, and things around here indicated that the war was still on. Even if this was the beginning of '75, Sean looked to be about 20. Meaning that in the future, thirty years from now, Icarus was fifty something. That guy must take care of himself, Ren thought in amazement. He knew that something else was likely at work, but damned if he knew what it was.

Okay, just a couple gripes with what I'm seeing here. First, if you could write your modified stats after your normal ones, that would be good for people casually looking at it. Like this: STR 10/30 (+0/+10) Just a little bother, but it would help out. And your INT bonus is +1, not +2. You have all your skills listed correctly, but in your ability write-up it's wrong. And for clarity, if you could list your combat stats like so, it would be great: Initiative: +6 Attack Bonus: +6/+10(Unarmed) Defense Bonus: +7/+6(Flatfooted) Damage: +10 Unarmed Just put little (-3) next to your drawbacks like you have for your other headings. Drawbacks (-3) Wow, that's a lot of enemies. Some of them are defunct in the new edition, but don't let that stop you! Now as for the rivalry, does that mean you're going to try to show up all these new "superheroes" that claim to be doing good? I really like your background, BTW. It's vintage superhero from back in the day. Most people on this board are all about the new wave. We need somebody like Captain Wonder to show us what heroing is all about. Just fix up those few things, and I think you're good to go.

Daisuke was just about ready to consign his soul to whatever deity or ancestors would have it when a giant red hand smashed through the cage like it wasn't even there. The same cage whose bars he couldn't even budge. So it wasn't too out of character the he curled up into a ball in his corner and waited for either the skeleton that rotted things with it's touch or the red hand to kill him. What an igno... igni... stupid way to die. When that didn't happen, and he heard a girl's voice, Daisuke opened his eyes and peered towards where the skeleton used to be. Seeing that it was no longer there, he tracked over to where a girl, presumably the one that called it off, stood with the little horror by her side. He quickly scrambled to his feet and tried to look halfway dignified. He was embarrassed enough cowering from the skeleton thing, but huddling on the floor in front of what was obviously a villain out to hurt people? That would never do! "So, you think you'll get away with that, huh?" Daisuke said, stepping out of his former enclosure. He pointed accusingly at the girl. "You surprised me with your skeleton minion at first, but now I'm ready for you! When you talk to your villainous buddies, tell them it was Mashin-kun that beat you up!" With that, Daisuke bounded over next to her and raised his hands as if to hit her. Unfortunately, he'd never hit a girl before, and was rather hesitant as a result. So what actually occurred was him racing up to her and holding his fists up like he was a prizefighter from the 1920's.

Okay, we're counting the terrain as open for right now. That's a 13 for an obsticale check, so there's nothing to hit yet. You are over the van's full speed, so it has to take a stress (fatigue) to keep out in front. We're going to pick this up when I get home tonight. I'll think about how I want to do this while I'm at work.

Do you have the Mastermind's Manual? I thought we could do a little chase scene here. You're almost certainly going to win, of course, but it might be fun.
