Eh, didn't mean to put thoughts in your character's head, Thev. Let's just change that to "most teachers did their level best to bore her, but Megan remained unbowed by their attempts to break her under scholastic purgatory." :)

Most of the rest of the day, things went more or less normally. Boredom, followed by brief periods of fun when she could talk to her friends between classes being the norm. But then gym came up. It might not have been other student's favorite class, but with Megan's powers, it at least made the running parts a bit easier. She had just finished stretching and followed the rest of her class onto the indoor track when she noticed some boys over by the end of the track not suited up. They were in a loose semi circle, laughing over something. And when Megan's class started filtering in, they began talking excitedly amongst each other. (OOC: Make a notice check.)

"Okay, I guess," Nanowire said in response to Gravitor's suggestion they retire to his hideout. He was not, of course, all that sure about all this. He was still a supervillain, no matter what his recent actions. And this felt like getting led into the lion's den. Not that hanging around Centurion would be too much better... "Ah, yes, good to meet you - Aria?" he said to the one Fury that had actually talked to him. It was perhaps because of that he was off balance when Grim accepted a ride from Gravitor. Against his better reason, he felt a sudden rush of jealousy, that someone else would get to carry her around. "Uh... I can... You know, I can do that, Grim."

You know what this is. And I figured I would start you off here rather than throw you directly into the adventure.

It was a normal day at North Bay academy. Sun shining, birds singing and all that. Megan Howell had just exited her first period class, and prepared to get to her next class, with the unrelentingly boring Mr. Kingston, when her cheerleading friends, Lucy and Tabitha, came up to her. "Hey Meg," Lucy said, peppy as usual, but somehow serious this day. "Did you hear what happened to Steve? His house totally got broken into!" "I know, right?" Tabitha chipped in. She had that look on her face that told Megan the next part was going to be very embellished. "I heard it was this bunch of super fast goons - you know, real musclehead types, right? I mean, how scary is that? Steve lives down the street from me!" Lucy looked over at Tabitha with a confused expression on her face. "But I thought he lived on Carthridge. You live on Lakewood." Tabitha quirked her head to the side for a second. It seemed as if her brain was working on something fairly difficult. Then her face lit up like daylight had just streamed in through a crack in the roof. "Oh yeah! I was totally thinking about Brian!" "Oh my gawd, did you hear Lindsy snaked him from Samantha?" Lucy said. "I know! What a skank! She's not broken up with Dale for a day, and already she's on Brian like a bad hair day!" "Oh, and speaking of bad hair..." This could go on for a while.

Your own kind, huh? Yeah, I can deal with that. Better a freak than too normal, after all.

Oh for the love of... When he hunted Icarus down, Nanowire planned to do some very unkind things to the man for dumping all this crap on him. "It's... hard to explain," "Roboman" started off, trying to buy time. "Okay, here's how it happened - That guy, your son apparently, is from the future. We only met him today, after a portal to... somewhere... spat him out into our laps. We don't know all that much about the guy, honestly." Another lie, but half-true. It would cut down on the amount of quesions directed his way about the nature of the man, hopefully. He didn't want to screw up the chronoverse any more than it already had been.
