Nanowire's head jerked up as the alarm went off and he groaned. This was the last thing he needed. An unconscious girl on the ground and a jewelry store getting robbed. In broad day light. That didn't make any sense. It was just night out. Did Icarus screw up and teleport them across the world? Whatever was going on, Nanowire was tempted to let the robbery go. It didn't affect him any. Then he looked back down at the slumbering bundle of girl at his knees and sighed. "" he grumbled in Japanese. "" He couldn't just leave Grimalkin laying there on the ground, so he scooped her up in his arms, noticing how she had this cute way of scrunching up her nose when she breathed in. Don't you go and wake up on me now, he mentally ordered her. Using a light touch, Nanowire floated himself and his burden up on top of a nearby rooftop. At least they'd be less conspicuous up there. Once he got situated, he was going to set her down. Then he saw more of the street. How everybody was driving cars at least a quarter century out of date, with clothes to match. "

Man, I love snow. I used to live in Massachusetts, and we got like two feet of snow per year. Now I'm in Washington. Two feet of rain a year means we're having a drought. :|

Well, this is a lot of different questions, but I'll try to get to as many as possible. First off, the Freedom City book is a very good investment if you intend to play on this board. Not indispensable, but it's outrageously useful for the price. Inside, there's literally hundreds of locations which would be fine targets for a heist. (Speaking of which, trying looking at the "Heist" thread in the North End, Downtown.) Here's a few choice locales: 1. Haas Brothers Jewelers. A local chain of stores. Try the Riverside area in Downtown. 2. ASTRO Labs. Technical Research Institute. Very high security, but very big payoff. In North End, Downtown. 3. Freedom City Historical Museum. It's a museum. Rob it. In Midtown, Downtown. You could simply start a thread, but you might have to "advertise" to get a hero to step in. And yes, you could simply say you robbed a low to mid security place. Somewhere like ASTRO labs would be a different story, though. As for reputation, if you pull it off right, as any good thief should, (but that's boring, right? ) you won't get one. But there are heroes out there that don't need to catch you in the act to catch you. Take Foreshadow, a hero in the Freedom City book, for example. He's got precognition. I think a couple other heroes have special senses that would help them out there. I hope this helps.

It's time to wake up, honey. Somebody was talking to him. He tried to bury himself under the sheets. He didn't want to wake up yet. It was nice here. Renichi? It's time to get up. Warm. Safe. He liked it here. But the voice was familiar. His mother? He couldn't tell. Come on, honey. It's time to get up. Why? Because you're dead. "NO!" Nanowire lurched up off the ground, arms flailing about. He looked around wildly, desperately unaware of where he was or what had gone on. The lack of everything he expected all fell upon him at the same time. If he'd been human, he would be hyperventilating and his heart would be pounding. But there was nothing. The panic only lasted as long as it took him to ascertain that he wasn't under attack. Nanowire was almost disappointed it hadn't gone on longer. At least he felt like a person while it did. With his emotions under control, he tried to find out exactly where he was, only to find that he was not alone. Underneath him, sleeping like an angel, was Grimalkin. For a moment, Nanowire had no idea what she was doing there. Then the events of the previous area they'd been in caught up with him. How Heavy... no, Icarus's portal had dragged them into it, spitting them out... here. Wherever "here" was. He looked down on her for a few moments, trying to decide what to do. It certainly didn't appear good, him straddling her like that. Worse, he didn't even know how he'd ended up in this position. But Nanowire supposed it was fortunate he didn't land on her fully. Crushing the first person that gave a damn about him since he'd been in town would not be the greatest thing that had ever happened to him. Nanowire clambered to the side and poked Grimalkin in the side lightly. "Um... Grim?" Great, why don't you slap her awake while you're at it? He tried shaking her shoulder a bit, hoping that would be a slightly easier wake up call. "Grim?"

Question: Immunity to Interaction Skills

This works a bit different for PC's. Since PC's are not subject to Bluff or Diplomacy checks outside of what other players/GMs actually write, I don't think you'll need it. The only way this would become important is if the there was a case of GM fiat, where the story required you to believe an NPC, no matter how inprobable the lie. In which case, this would be useful, insofar as you would be immune. But then you run into problems with the hook of the story being lost on you, the GM has to come up with something else, etc. Although the GM probably should have realized that talking your character into it wasn't the way to go in the first place. In any case, this isn't a huge benefit. Unless your character revolves around this concept, I'd pass it up. -
