  1. This is the OOC for this thread, if it's needed. Unless somebody feels like dropping by Japan, which I doubt, this will stay mostly a backstory about how Daisuke eventually gets to Freedom City. He is, after all, incapable of flying over as Nanowire did. :)

  4. (Continued from Reflections) At first, Daisuke didn't know what had happened. All he knew was that his face, his hands, arms, heck, everything, on his body seemed to have been turned to metal. It was the single coolest thing that had ever happened to him, yes, but how? As he pondered, Daisuke turned in place, trying to see if his back had undergone the same transformation. He got to about his shoulder blades before having to whip his head around to the other side in the hope of being able to see everything. The first thing he noticed was that his earlier theory about the entirety of his body being transmuted to metal was correct. The second was that his hospital gown didn't cover nearly as much as it needed to. "" he grumbled to himself as he pulled the back closed. He looked about the hospital room for another change of clothes. Everything was bathed in the same unhealthy pale glow of the fluorescent bulbs, lending an ethereal quality to his surroundings. The bed he'd so recently occupied was still littered with debris, surgical gloves and sponges. Most of the equipment Daisuke didn't recognize, other than the fact that it was expensive. The windows of the room had the shades pulled, but tiny cracks of light seeped in, now muted from the inside luminescence. He walked over to the shades, his feet making the same 'tink, tink, tink' noises they had before, and peered out through the venetian blinds. A streetlight cut off most of his view of the outside, but he could tell that he was overlooking a parking lot. Good to know if he needed to get out of here fast. But what had he been doing here in the first place? His musing was cut off suddenly as he heard voices. And they sounded like they were coming his way.

  7. With some quick thinking, Nanowire manged to move the man still in his arms out of the way. He was stunned that the African decided to do something so monumentally stupid as open fire on a being constructed entirely out of metal with a popgun like he had, but even more shocked that he had done so without regard for the life of his comrade. Didn't he know a ricochet could kill him? Or did he not care? "Why?" Nanowire asked, laying the prone man down before straightening back up. "Why still fight? You have no chance. I can tear steel apart like paper. I can move faster than you can see. My outer suface can ward off tank shells like rain." He moved forward as he spoke, keeping the African in his sight at all times. "You cannot run, and there is nowhere you can hide from my eyes. All you have to do is put the gun down and walk away. Why wouldn't you do that? Is it because you're a professional, like you said? Why? Tell me!" At the end, Nanowire's voice started to become desperate, like the man's answer would be the answer to all his own questions.

  10. Well, dang, you're right. Okay, I nixed the Speed entirely, and took off one point from skills. Everything should add up now.

  13. I'll be getting his backstory up in short order, but my computer is on the friz right now, and that's where I have everything. In any case, the build is pretty straightforward, so there shouldn't be too much of a problem.

  25. I can tell you right now that you only need Immune to Fortitude in order to have Life Support and the like. All of those involve Fort rolls, so if you're immune to begin with, there's no problem. Basically, you overspent by about 11 points on that. Of course, that means you can use them to cause havoc somewhere else. :)
