  1. Very funny, by the way. I guess until Barnum's schedule opens up a bit, Nanowire's in a bit of a holding pattern, so I can probably use him for this idea. Any special fetishes he should be aware of? :)
  2. Er... hate rain on your parade, Heridfel, but don't Velocity and Valkyrie get to act before us? I personally would love it if you got to act first, but Velocity's rediculous init bonus makes that pretty much impossible.

  5. Nanowire stopped short as he and Heavy rounded the corner leading to the lobby. There stood two of the most beautiful women he'd ever seen, wearing spadex and plate mail, respectively. A more bizarre mix he couldn't have imagined. "I can only assume that these are the superpeople you spoke of in hushed tones of horror and awe," he said sardonically. "Your plan from here would be... what? Chest-thumping and expressions of overly hormonal supervillainyness followed shortly by contusions and property damage?"

  8. It's really good. Easily one of the best comic series out there. If you haven't read about it at all, it's about a special devision of the police that deals exclusively with "powers" oriented problems. The thing is, they go about it in nearly the exact same way you see cops interrogating suspects on TV. It's both funny and a little unreal in places. You'll have to check it out to get the full story, which I strongly suggest. The story is by Brian Michael Bendis, who you might know from the "Ultimate" title line from Marvel. Good stuff.

  11. Yeah, good luck Thevshi. Finals can be mixed bags at best - containing either broken glass or poisonous insects, that is. Oh, and yeah, we definitely got hosed on init here. :|

  14. I'm reading Powers right now - great books, by the way. I am also currently dreading the release of the Wanted movie. Read the graphic novel to learn why. On the topic of "Runaways", I found everything after the third trade to be a bit... flat. They still had the same "teen angst" flavor, just muted. Let me know if you agree.

  17. Well, my inverse curve is off to a rousing start. That's a 27 for Notice, and a slightly more standard initative roll for 18.

  20. Nanowire followed Heavy as he made his exit, hoping he was wrong about the overabundance of heroes in the city. That could account for the presence of villains in an equal number - a causal relationship if he ever saw one. The only problem was figuring out which came first, the hero or the villain.

  23. ...And that's the heroes cue to enter, stage right. :)
