  1. True, but that's a pretty small pony. Anyway, I just thought that Transform would help you out more than a bunch of other powers with the Attack extra stapled to them. You'll run into a point where overspecialization kills your character before it gets off the ground. Believe me, I know.
  2. I believe you're over thinking this. From what I have read, the Attack extra can be used on Gestalt. However, what you have in mind seems way too complex. A simple illusion linked to a mental transform could achieve what you have in mind for far less points and far greater utility. On the other hand, I'm not sure whether or not you can add Attack onto Gestalt. The refs would have final say on that. The point is, you've just created a power with only one purpose and spent an altogether indecent amount of points on it. I really think Transform is the way you want to go for most of the effects you're going for.

  5. Dude, just try building a power like that first one you described. I want to see if you can actually do it in this system without rediculous amounts of baggage added in.

  8. Actually, Mythbusters already "popped" that particular myth. Human skin is too flexible and durable to blow up under terrestrial pressure differentials. Outer space, though, with enough internal pressure...

  11. Okay, that was unexpected, and quite frankly, unwanted. If you're reading this first, I just drilled Heavy with a nat 20, making it a crit. I want this battle to last as long as possible, but he's currently going to be sucking a DC 32 Toughness Save. (+12 Str, +5 for the Crit, +15 as the base Toughness save) This has the potential to lay him out in one shot. Could I choke back the Strength I'm using to eight, like I'm using less strength to feel him out? A DC 28 save is hardly ideal either, but far better than the alternative. And the little piece of dialouge at the end of the first paragraph can be translated to "No problem, little heavy." Half newspeak, half Japanese. :)

  14. If Nanowire could have quirked an eyebrow at Heavy's slip of the tounge, he would have. It sounded like he started to say "my", which would denote somebody close to him contsructed the suit. A puzzle for later, he supposed, and tucked the little bit of information away for later. "Zero error, omoi-chan," Nanowire replied with a invisible smirk. Heavy came in like his namesake, with all the subtlety of a jackhammer. Not that Nanowire could boast much more in the way of tactical manuvering, but the rediculous amount of protection his armor enjoyed meant he really didn't need much in the way of defense. So it was that his first move was blasting in with his reactionless thrusters to close the distance as quickly as possible. Apparently, all his disparate systems were feeling their oats today, as his punch met with Heavy's face with far more force than he thought possible.

  17. Conventionally, no, but beware the CDC! Those guy'll hit you with some sort of rapidly adaptive proteus antivirus, and then where will you be? Cured, that's where. You'll be doing commercials for the pharmaceutical companies overnight! The horror!

  20. Well, I guess since it only said Melee Attack Focus, I thought it meant exactly that. Not a problem if it's not, though. That means my own Grapple bonus goes up a fair amount too.

  23. Hey MarkK, unless I'm seriously screwed up on this one, you only have a Grapple mod of +19. (+10 (STR) +4 (Base Attack Bonus) +5 (Super-Strength) = 19) I'm pretty sure you don't count Melee Focus in the equation, but I may be wrong. Beard, any thoughts?
