  1. Alatanis Casino (from Freedom City 1st ed) Hotel and Casino built on an aquatic theme with a massive statue of King Neptune and his frolicking nymphs outside. An underground restaurant features a wide window that looks out into the South River. Golden Calf (from Freedom City 1st ed) A staute of a golden calf sits over the door and gold is heavily used in the interior decoration. The casino was fading somewhat, but has started bouncing back recently due to its bookings of younger, and more popular singers and comedians. Paradise (from Freedom City 1st ed) Emulates a tropical resort with only modest success. It is luxious and features enough indoor activities (including an indoor pool) that attract a lot of interest from tourists looking for an inexpensive alternative to actually visiting the tropics. The Southside Palace (from Freedom City 1st ed) The biggest and oldest casino on Boardwalk is openely owned by the Driogano Family -- the most powerful mobsters in Freedom City. It features nightly entertainment from singing to dancing to stand-up comedy routines. The police and local FBI keep a close eyes on the SOuthside Palace, although Big Al Driogano is smart enough to keep the public face of the "family business" clean.

  3. This is a place for players to list established locations within the Boardwalk. It includes the information found n the Freedom City source book as well as locations created by players for the area.

  6. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my question. The question was, If I applied A split probability power feat onto the array, would it be considered to affect all of the APs of that array as well? As far as the amount of pps of an array, Probability Control is limited to PL or 20 whichever is less, which really makes no sense to me. Unless they plan on releasing rules for higher PL games, they should have simply kept it limited to power level. It makes perfect sense I think. The damage is caused by the change in probability, where even the most unlikely of events can happen. If you limit your thinking to simply being hit by a car, then you're missing out on the creative posibilities of using the power. It's not just a car suddenly hitting you, its a car hitting hitting the small crack in Captain X's force field which was caused during his battle with the Doom squad the day before. Considering how easy it is to pick up Imprevious, and how often characters seem to have imprevious, adding the penertrating extra shows that probability. As far as the damage effects beig dodge able, how do you dodge something you have no idea is coming? Captain X is in the sky where there is no clouds when he is suddenly struck by a lightning bolt. Would he have been prepared to dodge the bolt in a cloudless sky? But you say that Captain X has great notice. Then the probability hit just when he was blinking his eyes. Anything that can happen regardless of how improbable, can with the power.

Thanks! Todays looks to be a nother sunny but chilly day. No snow in this area which is good since snow tends to stop all traffic here. They don't get much snow in my area.

  12. Got to ask. If the Above Luckdude had Probability control 14 [Power feats: Split Probability 3] along with the AP: Damage as listed in the UP under Probability, would the split probability also act as split attack on the AP or would split attack need to be bought to affect multiple targets?

Better late than never, huh? I'm working and living in Japan near Nagoya. I'm actually about 16k north of Nagoya in the city called Ichinomiya. If you don't know it, don't worry, I won't hate you. I'm originally from Chicago (I lived in the city not the 'burbs). I finally got into Mutants & Masterminds earlier last year when eyeonthemountain introduced me to the game. I'm a suck for superheroes since my best days of RPGing were when I was making characters up in the Marvel Superheroes system. Since I started M&M, I've come up with a few character concepts, but it seems my ideas are always fairly complex. They take me forever to finish. Case in point is the villian I really wanted to play. He's still sitting on the backburner while I get the The Ghost up and running. So far, I must say I've enjoyed the board and have seen a lot of places that I want to sink my teeth into. I'll try not to step on any toes as I explore the possibilities the site offers.

  18. Thanks a lot. Having Magnus show up helped me do a lot of things with the character. Let me know when you want the call to take place and I'll jump in your thread.

  21. Outside, Jason got his call from Dorian and reported that he would do the job. He got out of the limo and started looking around. Just a short distance from the casino was a man that fit the description that Dorian had gave him. He quickly jogged over, calling out. "Excuse me. Excuse me." Sammy turned at the voice. He hadn't expected things to settle down so quickly after exiting the casino but Lady Fortune always liked to have fun. Sammy frowned as he let the man reach him. 'Who is this clown? He's security in that get-up.' "Yes?" Sammy asked, watching the man closely. "Excuse, sir, but my boss, Mr. Magnus has asked me to give you this card and a message," Jason said as he proceeded to produce the business card. Sammy slowly took the card, looking at it carefully. Written on it was clearly Dorian's name and telephone number. "Okay, so what's the message," Sammy asked as he placed the card into his pocket. "Mr. Magnus says if you wish to make triple of what you just did today that you should give this number a call." Sammy couldn't contain his surprise at the offer. 'Tripple? For what? This guy's got to have a lot of money to burn if he's willing to offer that kind of cash.' Sammy thought about things for a moment. 'First, Dorian Magnus was in the casino and not even in the high roller's area to begin with. Second, Dorian was just happened to be in a position to see me win big. Third, he obviously saw how I left the place. Is Lady Fortune telling me something? Is this another one of her ways of helping me out here in Freedom?' Sammy began to smile. "Tell your boss that I'll be sure to make the call in a few days after I've gotten a place. I'm interested in hearing more of his offer. Very interested." Sammy turned and continued on his way. As he walked, Sammy whistled an old show tune. Jason watched for a while longer before picking up his cel and calling Dorian Magnus. "Sir, this is Jason. I was able to give him the card and he says he'll make contact in a few days after he's found a place to live."

  24. Actually, that brings up a good question. I know the list is color coded, but there are some Refs out there that have not posted in a while. Is it possible to see a list of the Refs made so that we know who to PM with ideas and such? BTW, congrats VM ! May your life as one of the chosen be long and fruitful.
