The Arena is a place where Villains can let down their hair and relax. They can meet others of like mind and share plans to rule the streets of Freedom City. Of course, a place like this needs someone to enforce some sembalance of order and to keep the area protected from most of the heroic beings within the city. This duty has fallen to the man simply known as Legend. Legend has shown the ability to see and know much about the events with the city and the world. So far, he has stood apart from the struggles between the heroic and villainous but there is no misunderstanding as to where his support lies. Occasionally, an event occurs in the city that draws his attention. Here, those observations are noted. Looks like that second chance really helped out there! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
-
Is this still on? Can it be locked up?
-
Sorry for the delay. Finally found some time to get back to this. It's a little lonely with just Red Star, but that's fine.
-
Red Star caught sight of a group of men moving around the side of the Youth center. By the time the hero landed on site, the men were out of sight. Red Star could see a side door swinging shut. Just then, he heard more gun shots coming from inside the Youth Center. Whatever was happening this cold night, it was happening within the dark Youth Center.

DARK STAR Dark Star turned his power on the area, reversing gravity on all of the people in the room except Hellbound and the boxes. As the gravity reverses, the skin heads began floating to the ceiling. Only the one near the item managed to grab a hold of the crate to stop himself from going too far. The monster also began to drift to the ceiling and in its addled brain, realized that Dark Star was the cause. It sent off a a dazzling blast of light at the hero, but Dark star managed to avert his gaze.

Dark Star With your powers being Dynamic in nature, you're going to need to break down how you're splitting your points. For you reversial, I'll assume the max possible and still maintain the flight. SUMMARY Dark Star reverses gravity effecting everyone but Hellbound and himself. Four of the five men float to the ceiling of the room, about 20ft up. The creature sends out a Dazzle of bright light at Dark Star but fails to hit. Chris is within an easy move action from the smoke machine. Gordy is another move action from Darian.
-
The battle rages on with some surprising results. Darian had managed to stay on his feet long enough to get another shot off, but the young hero knew he was in trouble. His unstable legs caused his shot to go wide and the Rhino came in with another haymaker that hit easily. Gordy again struck out with his sonic blast, this time getting through the Rhino's tough resistances. The rhino stood trying to regain his focus. With the Rhino stunned, Gordy began moving towards Darian to aid him against his own foe. Chris huffed and puffed from the exhaustive effort he was putting up. He swung at the tiger but there was no power behind the blow. He quickly bounded away to create space between himself and the tiger. The tiger for his part, moved quickly after the evasive hero only to miss his target once he was within range. Chris looked about and saw he wasn't very far from the smoke machine.

Heads up to everyone in the Thread. I'm going to try to wrap this up by the first week of July. REgardless of where we are by then, we'll put a sock into this thread. That way, people can progress to their newer PL versions. So to do that, I'm going to have you help out with a lot of the work. As the information for Toughness saves are listed, go ahead and roll the toughness saves of your hits as well. I'll summarize them and then put the baddies actions. I'll roll your toughness saves when they hit you as well. You may spend Hps to get a reroll after you see the result. Let's see if we can get this done within time.
-
It's one of the possible story concepts that I have in mine. So work away! :D
-
First off the second chance. We'll let you roll once extra. Getting three rolls would be too much. This is a test of his abilities afterall. So with the Chemical, he gets 4 chances to make the roll. Taking ten is fine as well as using your addition Luck feat's HPs to pass the rolls. As for the test, it is done under the normal construction rules [DC10 +pp] not jury rig. Remember, these are albright items that you'll be writing up, not Doc's items. So you can expect them to pop up again at some other date. Hope that helps.
-
Okay. Looking at your sheet, you're mostly water based. Are you going to the Albright Instutite for your testing? The thread would be in Hanover, but they'll most likely move to a secured location where your water powers can be seen in action.
-
Cool! Last post is yours. Once that's in, we can lock it and put it to bed.
-
The lights cleared and Stephanie stepped out with a smile on her face. "Not bad. It's good to see that you ahve the ability to avoid attacks. You even seem to have some skill as well. We'll be giving you a very physical training schedule to help develop that area. It seems you've been neglecting it for a little too long!" Stephanie placed a hand on Darian's shoulder. "Now that we've got that done, I can put you to work. There's been an influx of students recently and I'm going to need that brain of yours to help put them through their paces."
-
What's the link to the character?
-
Dr. Brown nodded her thanks and the two quickly gathered the scattered cards. "Well, now that is finish, we can head over to the lab for your next stage of tests." Dr. Brown continued to explain the next stage as they walked down the hall. "The next stage will test your inventive streak. We have a number of projects that are releatively in the finishing stages. We have purposely removed key sections that your skills should be able to identify. We would like for you to look over the four items and have you point out what has been removed. Good luck." Dr. Brown opened the door and let Dr. Archeville proceed her into the area.
-
STAGE TWO This stage will test the Doctor's amazing powers to create items. Below are the construction checks that he needs to pass. He gets three attempts to make the DCs. Extra effort and Hps can be used as usual. You may use any of your craft skills in any order, but can only use one craft twice. Good luck. Part 1 -- Craft DC 30 Part 2 -- Craft DC 35 Part 3 -- Craft DC 40 Part 4 -- Craft DC 45

Cute. I liked it.
-
Think you could write this up sometime soon? I know you're itching to play the PL 10 version, but to do that, you need to finish this thread up. :D
-
Are you still there? This is the last stage. Once it is done, your placement test is finished.
-
Ok. Your call. That's the end of your Power test, then. Once you put in your last post we can lock this baby up. Very well done. I liked the last test as well. :D
-
Dr. Williamson nodde dhis understanding. What the young mand had just went through must have put a strain on him. "Well, that's the last of them. It seems you are in very good shape, Pompadour. YOur hair has the potential to be a very powerful tool that I'm sure you'll learn to apply with the utmost discretion. If you do decide to move on to using your talents to save people, I'm sure you'll do a fine job. With enough time and training, you may even manage to impress the Freedom League enough to apply for their try outs."
-
This is true. It is nice looking and all. I'll keep it in my colest somewhere I guess. I doubt that it will ever come up to the point of me selling it. I'm a pack rat. :D

:monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: Okay folks! Here it comes!!! :rotfl: It was a really cool film. The action, as usual from Micheal Bay, was high end. This time, at least in my opinion, it was funnier than the first, though a lot of the jokes were either cliche or pridictable. They add a pair of wise cracking, bumbling Transformers to keep the humor up. They were fairly entertaining to watch. Megan Fox, of course, was very nice eye candy! I think they could have made her more important to the story, but they didn't. Did you ever watch the TV show back in the eighties? Did you think Optimus Prime was a punk in the TV show, only to show how cool he could be in his short appearance in the original animated movie? Well, if so, then this movie is for you, as it puts Prime as top-dog when it comes to fighting Decepticons. He's not as weak as he was in the first movie, which was really cool. They even made Bumblebee a kickass fighter! One cool thing about seeing it here in Japan was the fact that they gave us cards that can be used as proof that we saw it before any other general audiences did. A collector's item, perhaps, but it is written in Japanese which kind of limits the value of it a bit. If you're looking for a good Summer movie to entertain you with explosions and FX, then this the movie for you. I give it a B. It was good, but it lacked that spark that makes me go WOW! Star Trek and Slumdog did that for me this year. Hopefully I'll have that feeling again later this year. So, if you're looking for more information about the film, ask away and I'll try to answer without spoiling things too much. I say, if you like action, go see it. You' should enjoy it. I did. Maybe I should go see it again this Sunday......
