And the wait is over. Let's see if we can work things out quickly for you. Nice description and picture. I like them. Simple yet easily sets the tone of the character. Slight problem here. I would think that the current Atlantean race would still apply to the "true bloodline." Saying that not all of the race has enough blood in them to be useful, is fine though. Okay. I'll look at teh powers and figure out how well this works. Fine with these. Lot of points here. Adds up. Could you mentione that you get 2 ranks from Dodge focus on your Def line? Otherwise, adds up. Adds up. Adds up, but very limited considering there are six spirits mixed in his head. I understand that recent knowledge would be out, but wouldn'T it have some more skills dealing with ancient times? Adds up. The Super-Movement is too much. Are you trying to make a dimensional pocket that you can enter by using dimensional movement? If so, then let's go with Dimensional pocket. Also, where are you getting the Portal from? It's not listed in either the main book or Ultimate power and I'd like a source for that power feat. I'm not sure if it's legal to have the Container nested in your array, though. I'll check with the other refs about it, but if you know of any ruling that says its okay, let me know. Okay for these two. What does this look like? I'm having a hard time trying to see what it is. See above for my concerns here. I don't think Orichalcum is going to be on the uncommon list of items. These may have to change. I ran out of time so will take a look at possible choices for you. Take a look at that dimensional movement and the other points that need looking at. I'll get back to things after work, hopefully.

Belphegor easily reaches the wall where he can get a better look at the runes. The mystical writting was slightly familiar to the demon as a ward against magical intrusions. Luckily, it would do little tokeep Belphegor out as his method of entering of places had nothing magical about it. The warding surrounded the ground so its protections would include the house itself as well. Also closer to the wall, Belphegor realizes that the area had been blessed. The stench of holy ground floated over the wall and tickled his nose. It was clear that once they crossed that wall, life would be difficult for the demon. Sammy watched Jos proceed over to the wall and he raised his eye in appreciation of his skill. 'Not bad. Not bad at all. I figured he would be as loud as a bull pushing his way around, but he actually has some skills.' "Not bad, Jos," Sammy whispered as his companion reached him. "Now can you make out what these runes are all about?" Sammy placed his hand on the wall, tracing the runes wondering what they were for. They were different than any that he's seen before but everytime he has seen runes etched somewhere, they boded baddly for him. 'Lady Fortune, I hope you watching over me today. I think I'll need your help quite a bit before this job is finished!'

Reaching the wall, he gets a closer look at the runes and realizes that it is a ward against magical transportation. It wards out intrusions based on magical means. For the two of us, that means no walking through walls for Ghost. :(

But that was when he was outside of the beetle suit, which he no longer takes off. How then does he remain popular? If the suit tells him that he can'T it off, why are you getting points for a Drawback of normal identity? Why would he remain popular. From the sound of his orgin, everyone would think he was dead along with everyone else at the crash site.

Here is the first post.

The Albright Institute had recently opened thier doors to all the citizens of Freedom City as a place to test the limits of those born different from others. Since their announcement months ago, a steady stream of applicants had slowly trickled through the doors. Today brought Brett Mason to their doors. Inside the main lobby there was a receptionist behind a desk that smiled warmly at Brett as he entered. "Welcome to the Albright Insititue. How may I help you?"
-
Alan nodded his head at her reasons. "I can respect that. Soemtimes, it's the little things that forces us to step out into the role of heroes." Alan turned and looked at the work and smiled. "It seems they're all finished, Miss Porter. Time to begin the next stage of tests." What he workers had put together was a large press like machine. There was an empty space in the center that Alan pointed Mercy into. Above her head was a metal plate. "This is a test of your strength, Miss Porter. All you have to do is keep that plate above your head from pushing you to your knees. We will be gradually increasing the pressure, grading your strength. The machine has tested some of our most powerful Students so it should be interesting to see how you do. Good luck."
-
STAGE FOUR This stage will test her strength. You must make an opposed Strength check (+7, includes your super-strength) vs the ability below. Mercy gets three attempts to beat each section. If you need to make a reroll, the machine also gets to reroll. Again extra effort can be used at any time but the fatigue will last for the rest of the rolls. If an HP is spent, then it is gone for the rest of the test. Part 1 -- Gifted Str +3 Part 2 -- Best in World Str +6 Part 3 -- Moderate superhuman Str +9 Part 4 -- Very High Superhuman Str +15

Sorry for the delay. Let's try to get this out of the way. First problem is formatting. We have a set style for character submission for a reason. When you change that system, it slows down the process. Please move the history and fluff to the top of the sheet. List skills as Skill rank (+total). Which is it? PL 8 as listed here, or PL 7 as listed in the title? Adds up. Okay first off, I'm not allowing full dodge focus on Defense without some points spent on base Def. At least one point of real Def is goign to be needed. Sure you want all of his saves to based off of his powers only? Adds up but he is pretty limited in skills. Why is he so Intimidating? Here you wrote Dodge focus 5 but up in the combat area, you have it listed as 4. Still, I want at least one point of real DEF so this is going to need to be fixed. You do have 11 feats listed though. What do you get out of the popular Benefit? Why is he popular? So what is the Beetle? Is it some mystical force of power or some kind of device? Also the cost of this power is 80pp not 64 as listed above. Why does the container give life support? How does it give life support? Is it a suit or some other kind of item? It adds up though. okay. So the beetle is a powersuit after all. And how does this complicate him? Would the powersuit be on all the time? Okay here. Skills should be listed at 9pp for a total of 120pp. Well that answers a lot of the questions as listed above. Would have helped if this was at the top of the sheet. Please reformat so that it follows the character sheet better. This helps out more. Move this section to the top as well.

Sammy's moving to the wall. Sealth rolled a 1 but with his probability control, that makes it a seven. Stealth check (1d20+13=14) Without someone at the wall, getting to it is pretty easy for Ghost. Jos has a harded time. Stealth DC 10 to reach the blind spot mentioned by Ghost. Once there, he can reroll his knowledge roll on the Runes, DC 15. For Ghost, he doesn'T get a roll for the runes. Just no knowledge of mystical powers. :(
-
Sammy looked at his companion and smiled. "It takes a lot of luck and the blessing of the Lady of Fortune to keep me out of trouble, Jos. I think there's a blind spot over there near the third and fourth cameras. We should be able to sneak up to the wall and get a better look at those runes. Think you can get up there without being seen?" Sammy turned to observe the wall again. 'There's nobody manning the wall which for us is a good thing. The main gate seems to have an intercom to get it opened from the inside. We still don't know what kind of security's in place once we breech the wall, though. This is looking more and more like a straight frontal assualt than a quiet entrance.' Sammy pointed at the gate. "Looks like the main gate is unmanned, Jos. That means at least on this side of the wall, those cameras mean little to me. The problem comes as to not knowing what lies on the other side of the wall. If he's got normal eyes there, it makes things more difficult for us. I'm thinking the frontal approach would work best. Bluffing our way into the compound would save us a lot of time and effort, but I want to see what those runes are all about first." With that said, Sammy slipped out into the open towards the wall. His movement wasn't the best, but everytime he stepped on a twig a bird called out to help cover the sound. Luck wsa just on his side.

Alan shrugged his shoulders. "Your call. I was never particular about capes myself. Tend to just get in the way." Alan glanced over at the machine and smiled, "Now, Miss Porter, I don'T want to be ruining the next stage of your test before we were ready to give it to. Where would the fun be in do ing that?" He turned back towards Mercy and declined the offering with a shake of his head. "First and foremost this is a place of education. We work to teach our students how to live normal lives, not make superheroes. The super hero business isn'T for everyone, Miss Porter. You of all people should know that. You've been out on the streets and seen the horrors that can happen out there. We want our students to know how to live normal lives with their abilities. Only a select few manage to become heroes." Alan lo9oked at his watch and then at the progress of the workers. "So, again, I ask you why did you decide to become a hero?"

Happy B-day to the man that makes this all possible. Keep up the great work and enjoy your day!

Dark Star The work was going as well as possible considering his weakened state. Pushing his power to such limits was not something that could without cost. Dark Star manages to get another group off the ship when from below decks, Sammy comes out with a group of people. The dinosuar roars in delight at the sight of his companion and shuffles over to Sammy. a large tongue whips out to like the out of time cowboy just like a dog would. "Easy boy. I'm glad to see you too." Sammy moved the people he was with to join the others. Once they were gathered, he addressed Dark Star. "Looks like the city's finally getting their act into gear. Why don't you head down below and give the others a hand? I haven't seen that tough guy in some time. Arrowhawk, the guy with the bow, is down below helping some kids. We still don't know what caused this in the first place. I'll make sure the rest of these people get to safety."

Great! Take your time. I'll try to put up the next post soon explaining the lost of ArmyofOne.

Those tend to be indiviual. Give me some time to set up some other things before I get to them. Good job on the intro thread, Avenger!

Alan winched when Mercy hit the ground. "Hmm, we'll have to work on that flying quite a bit it seems. Perhaps even lose the cape until you can master your control better. Come on, take a moment and rest up while we start cleaning up the mess." Workers move quickly to take down the obstacle course and bring out the refreshment table. This time, a medic comes over to check on Mercy's bruises to make sure she was in her top form before starting the next stage. After a moment, Alan came over. "It's going to take a little longer to set up the next stage for you so we might as well chat while we wait." Mercy can see workers bringing in a a number of components to a machine and begin to put them together. The size of the machine was very large but she had little idea what its purpose was. "If we had the main training room, this would be much quicker. Unfortunately, it's in use and we have to make do here." Alan took a moment to look at the progress of the work before turning back to speak to Mercy. "So tell me, why did you don the mask, Miss Porter?"
