Is this still being worked on? It's been a month since any work was done on the character.

Looks like I have time to look this over. Finally. Sorry it took so long. Good description. I like it. Simple yet elegant. Nice. No problems with this. Adds up. Let's take some of those combat feats and buy some actual attack bonus. I would prefer at least +2 attack bonus instead of buying all of it in feats. With Defense, at least +1 real defense. The rest can be from Dodge focus. Hmmm, glass jaw. Kind of fits the character concept, but realize that some of the supers that he may be after might catch him. Sure you want to go wtih no Toughness bonus? Adds up. As mentioned in the combat section, I'd like you to give him some real attack and dodge bonus. You might want to rewrite your HQ to actually say it is an HQ you bought with your equipment points. Otherwise, It all adds up. Adds up. Nice suite, but are you sure you don'T want to put a little protection in it to give you a toughness score? In the Blast 8 main power section, please list the 9 APs as well. Also, what of those 7 PFs already listed apply to the APs? Looks good. If you can make the changes requested, we can get you moving again.

I'm still going to do it as it can easily tie into the Turf War thread. Since everyone there is here, it makes sense. I'll finish it up quickly though. So I'll put in a new post soon.

I'll be moving things along this week, so yeah. Go ahead.

Geez3r, are you still around? If you are, I do plan on continuing this. Let me know if you are or not.

Hero "Placement Tests" Tarantula Dr. Archeville Pompadour Call Out for Power tests. If the above people can post a reply here, I'll get everyone started. Hopefully we can get it done to be included for the June awards. When you reply, please let me know some set up information. 1) Where do you want to be tested? Some characters have HQs that will allow them to test themselves. Others will have to find a place to be tested at. One option is the Albright Institute. If you can think of another option let me know. 2) What are you looking at getting tested? These powers tests are a good way to give your character a reason to increase or develop a new power. If there is anything specific you'd like to go over, let me know.

This works well. It doesn't supersede the listed Dcs of other items in the book which is good and there is a difference at each level. This doesn't work because you're getting too much for free from a benifit. It supersedes the listed DCs in the core book and that's not something we want to change too much. If a wealthy person wants a higher DC for security, they can spend the pp for it.

Alan nodded his approval at the swift work Mercy did of the stage. "Impressive. You were very sure of your movements. Also, very offensive. Take a moment to relax as we clean things up and get ready for your next stage." Workers come out to help the downed men as well as bring out a table loaded with refreshments of all kind. A chair is also brought out for her to use at her leisure. It isn't long though before Alan calls for her. "Oaky. This next stage will test your defensive abilities. You will face four different opponents of differeing ability. Their job is to touch you three times. Your job is to not allow that to happen. The object is to avoid contact using your training. Good luck."

STAGE TWO This stage will test Mercy's defensive abilities. She will face four attackers of various ability and must not be hit by them three times. The attackers get three attempts to touch her. Again extra effort can be used at any time but the fatigue will last for the rest of the rolls. If an HP is spent, then it is gone for the rest of the test. Below are the attack bonus of each fighter. Roll three times for each and compare them to your Def. Part 1 -- Average Attack +3 Part 2 -- Tough Attack +6 Part 3 -- Challenging Attack +10 Part 4 -- Formidable Attack +12

Security: Base DC 5 Standard living Base DC 10 Wealth 1,2 Base DC 15 Wealth 3 If you want a security system that a super villain would have problems with, the standard DC 20, use an ep point to upgrade it. Break up of rules: I'm fine with how it was listed by the Doc.

Looks like they can't let go. I enjoy Smallville but last season had so many points missing between episodes it was a shame. Still, I'll be watching it for as long as it's on air.

Okay. Let's work on the Blade bomb as that seems to be the biggest problem. Strike (1)+ Mighty thrown (which is limited by the rank. so you can't get your full str with one rank. check pg 38 of UP for details. The Mastery does add +4 to damage, though.) So you're looking at 1+1+4 for a total of +6. A +21 DC.

Sorry about that. Give me a moment to look things over again and Hopefully we gat you moving again.

Captain XcTlthRys (aka Captain Mantis) - PL 13 NPC - Tier 1

Basically there is no need for it. Extra effort's 2 rank improvement is more than enough. With trade off rules of +/-3 in place and extra effort, you can get your damage up to +5 over PL. Add on feats and you can go even higher.

WElcome to the boards, Electra! Hope you have a smuch fun as AvengersAssembled.

Last time it came up, it was disallowed.

Okay, that's one. Anyone else?

Just checking to see who's still in this thread. Chime in if you're still around.

I know that's what most are thinking about, but having one pp change the level of welath so easily just doesn't sit well with me. 3pps to be Silly rich is just too cheap. Ranking it out would keep people from buying wealth so quickly. Of course, if we charge more pps for each level that works as well. 1pp for Wealthy, 3pps for Loaded, 6pps for Silly rich, works for me.

Sammy looked at Jos and frowned. 'I really have stepped over the edge this time. Lady Fortune had better be watching my back. The quicker we get this done with, the better.' "Okay, Jos. We'll take your car. It shouldn't take us long to get to Lantern Hill after all. Just let me get my bag. I like to have it handy when I'm working." Sammy went into his bedroom and shortly came out with his black backpack slung over his shoulder. "Lead the way, Jos." Once Sammy and Jos left the room, the residue magical energy in the room slowly gathered around the strangely rune carved box sitting upon the television set. The magic saturated the box making the runes glow a sickly green before the lid opened slightly. From inside of the box, a small clawed hand emerged. Soft demonic laughter filled the room.

Okay, it looks like there is a strong choice for The Wealth feat to give a bonus of some kind to interaction rolls. I can live with that. People seem also to like the three levels of Wealth to represent exactly what that wealth will allow to buy. What I would like is to keep Wealth ranked. It easily allows for the three levels of wealth as listed above, and it keeps the sheets the same without needing adjustments. So the first thing we need to propose is what bonus does each catergory of wealth gives you to interaction rolls. I don't want it to get too crazy so would like the bonus to be low. I think the following would work for the ranks. I would like to do a rank equals a +1 bonus on interaction checks but this seems pretty low. Giving a flat bonus due to the area of wealth (Wealthy, Loaded, Silly) would mean most people would simply take the lowest rank in that area which defeats variety in characters. Any suggests on the bonus the level of wealth should give? Wealthy: Wealth ranked 1-2 Loaded: Wealth ranked 3-5 Just Silly: Wealth ranked 6 and above

Yes. Just wanted to catch up on other things before starting.

These are all good options. But as you said, you are a character that spent points here. Which method do you prefer?
