Well, I finally saw the movie. First off, let me say that I have not read teh comics and had next to no information about the storyline at all. Other than the fact that it was a comic, I had no information. With that said, I must say I enjoyed the film. yes, it was gritty but I don't mind that. The story itself was very deep and that is something I like in my movies--a little thinking. Though to be honest, I like the superhero/comic genre mostly for the superb action sequences. The only thing about the movie that I could have done without was teh sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, they were very well done, but it just slows down the action. It's a personal choice that scenes like those can be done off camera when they have little to do with the overall story. It was a very interesting look at superheroes from a different perspective. Makes me want to read the comics now. I'll have to work on getting my hands on them. How many were there?

Once the WBC is completed, I'll have my mornings back which should help speed up my posting here on site. One more morning to go. Remember to cheer for Japan!

Device total cost 79pps for rank 19. Ok. spendable pps are 95pps Corrosion 33pps/ 33pps Absorption (Both Types) 48pps/ 81pps [both types is +1 extra to raise the price to 5pps/rank] Enhanced saves 6pps /87pps Enhanced Feats 4pps / 91pps Flight 2pp / 93pps Enhanced skills 4pps / 97pps You're over by 2pps that I can see. EDIT: I see what you did, you forgot to edit the cost of your Absorption. 1AP instead of the 3 originally listed. That way, it all adds up.

Makes sense. A slight hunt around the city for the location of the coin would be useful. It would also tie into my introduction thread for Ghost's add on. With the two of us, we could each cover two sections, trading off the duties of running the thread that way.

No word from Toptomcat so you're next in the que. Still up for this?

You are correct. It got missed correcting now. Exile gets 1pp for Feb. 2009. I've updated the main list here as well as in the Ref forums.

Changeling nodded her head at Gordy's question. "Yes, I am! I never knew people could be so imaginative. Everyone is dressed up so nicely." "There's Lady Liberty, Siren, Daedalus, and even Johnny Rocket," the young girl said as she pointed out various students dressed like members of the Freedom League. "There's even some people dressed up like villains!" Gordy could see that there were a large number of the students dressed up like the famous villains within the city. There was Granite and Professor Fathom of the Factor Four, Devil Ray and Maestro of the Crime League, as well as various smaller known villains. "Oh! Look, is that not King Kong?" Chageling's sudden cry of delight drew Gordy's attention towards the gym's entrance where a gorilla costumed person entered. Just behind the gorilla, there were five more people dressed as were-creatures: two tigers, two rhinos, and another gorilla. The group also wore belts with various devices strapped to them. It looked like Plaent of the Apes meets Star Trek to the young musician. Chris and Darian continued to watch Gordy's dance with Changeling, each wondering how the young man was doing. Both saw Chaglenign's gasp of delight and gesture towards teh door where a group of people dressed like were-animals entered the gym. Two were gorillas though the one in front seemed to be the leader. Behind him came two were-tigers and two were-rhinos. All six wore belts with various looking devices upon the belts. It looked like Planet of the Apes meets Star Trek.

I think he's too scared to fight the big boys. That's why he's sitting around at the PL6 range. Considering that most PCs are played at PL 10 on site, that's where the action would be for him.

I did a few wish list items for The Ghost, but most of them went to the backseat as I've managed to see the character in action. I plan on picking them up still, but when is the ultimate question. Also, I would need to decide how far to take some things. Specifically the blast he has. Constantly pumping points into Penatrating really doesn't make sense. :D

Did a notice check on Scarab and Arrowhawk. Easier to notice Scarab as she is near the lamp post but it seems he catches both heroes within sight. The Lightpost goes through the front door, leaving more than enough room to move into the building. The room with the 5 thugs is untouched however. Initiative time. Please roll your initiative and place teh results here. Once I have all the rolls, I'll make a combat status section that will show information on all players. Don't forget to place [Turf Wars] in the character name to identify rolls. Minions;real (1d20+1=20, 1d20+5=17)

Hellbound The night was fairly boring. There were few people out on the street which was normal at this time of night. The recent rise of crime by the Skinheads had caused Hellbound to walk the streets in search of something to pound on. His search brought him to an area fairly run down. The choices in this area were even less than other parts of Southside and the hero was just about ready to head home when he caught the sounds of something ripping nearby followed soon by the should of something large crashing into a building. The noise sounded as if it came just around the corner.

Ignis manages to probe the surface thoughts of four of the men presnet and is able to get thoughts of being watched. Somehow, their senses had detected the presence of a watcher. Just as he had finished his probe, the sound of a nearby lamppost being ripped from the sidewalk across the street. The noise was just enough that one of the men moved to the boarded window and peeked out to see what had caused the noise. His eyes went wide as he caught sight of Scarab, the moving lightpost, and Arrowhawk flat against the wall. The thug turned and yelled out, "We got supers!" His words just cleared out, warning his companions when the lightpost piled through the main doorway. The noise was tremendous, waking up various people in the area as well as alerting the Skinheads within the building.

Taking a look at the power, most likely the Extra: Impact Resistant will count towards PL caps. So if you have a PL 10 character, his protection from bouncing will count towards PL as it affectively is imprevious.

I'm sorry! I missed your request to join. You're welcomed to. I'll try to work you in soon so keep watch on the post in Southside. Welcome.

Looks like i'm not the only one who watched Friday the 13th: the series! Let's go with the coin for the moment. It has both the luck factor and the demonic factore that our two characters share. A good reason to tie us together. Now the question is where do they have it stashed?
-
It's a power? Seriously though, what are you asking? Simply asking the above doesn't help anything. How are you planning on using the power? What is your question on the power? As far as I can tell there hasn't been a submission using the power, but I may be wrong.

Yes there are windows on teh second floor, but they are boarded up as well. This building has been abandoned for some time which explains the boarded windows. HOwever, none of the boarded windows have been securely covered. But Arrowhawk needs to react to the mental contact from Scarab as well as the sound of her ripping the light pole from the street. Once I ahve you inital reaction, we'll be rolling initiative and dropping into combat rounds.

After some careful consideration, the Refs have decided to extend the limit of gainable pps from 219pps to 250pps though the PL is still capped at 14. Be aware that with this increase, we will be more critical of how the points are spent. The new totals will look like so: PL10 characters PPs earned Total PPs PL 1-9 151-159 10 10-24 160-174 11 25-39 175-189 12 40-54 190-204 13 55-69 205-250 14 And PL6 characters PPs earned Total PPs PL 1-9 91-99 6 10-24 100-114 7 25-39 115-129 8 40-54 130-144 9 55-69 145-159 10 70-84 160-174 11 85-99 175-189 12 100-114 190-204 13 115-129 205-250 14

That was easier than I thought! Got in, took a test and then used that time to slip into the room and download the information. All I ahve to do is call Maximus' number and get the drive to him. Once that's done, I get paid! Sammy twirled the small flashdrive in his fingers. I wonder what he plans on using the information for? Not my problem I guess. As long as I get paid it doesn't bother me. Sammy looked over at the strange box that had been on his mind for some time now. Still no word from Lenny on Byron. I delievered the package and went to Lantern Hill but he wasn't there. I guess I'll keep heading out that way just to see if I can find anything new.

Okay. This looks like it will erase all the information on Regen as well. Is that what you want?
