Understood. I feel the same as can easily be seen with the lack of threads with Ghost and other people in it. When you're ready for a hand, let me know.
-
How are things going on here? I saw Hellhound's worries that his character is taking a back seat to the action. If there is a scene or two that needs an "outside hand" to help move things along, let me know. So far it looks like everything is under control, but I've subscribed to the OOC thread now, so if you come to a point that needs a Ref, let me know.

Captain XcTlthRys (aka Captain Mantis) - PL 13 NPC - Tier 1
MBCE replied to Cyroa's topic in Archived Characters
I'll take a look at this later tonight after work. Hopefully we can get you to the next stage by the end of the week. -
That is correct. My mistake. Sorry. You are half correct here. For each setting you still need to buy the Alternate Power feat. Which is 1pp per AP. So you can lower your base Blast to rank 4, which then leaves you with 4pps that can go towards the 4 other settings. The problem with this method is that your APs can not use the 4pps for the Alternate power feats. So you would also need to drop all your AP power ranks as well to a max of 12pps. The other option is to keep the array at rnak 8 (16pps to play with) and find 4pps somewhere else to add onto it. That raises the cost of your Array to 20pps.
-
They aren't gone per se. They are the cost of having a character jump to PLs instantly. The question is wheter you want to get to the higher PL the slow method, or the fast method.

The Format section can be removed. Please list your feats long way, it helps reading and editting late. Please put the pp cost next to the powers. Again, it helps with editting later. Okay your Weapon Array looks wrong. Array 8 gives you 16pps to play with in powers. Mian power must have at most 16pps worth. Bozo bombs [blast 5; Extras:Area(targeted? general? Explosion) is 3pp/rank at rank 5 that's 15. That leaves you with 1pp for an AP yet you have 4 APs. Your Goofy Gas Bombs are priced incorrectly. Nullify all sensory powers costs 2pps/rank. Add on two extras and one flaw brings the total to 3pps/rank. To get to Nullify 8, you need 24pps. You only have a total of 16pps from the array. Please list the cost of each weapon in the array as well, so that it becomes easier to see where your points went. Again, please total pps spent on the vehicle as well. Due to the problems with the weapon Array, you're going to need adjust the attack block. Costs: Abilities (34) + Combat (30) + Saves (19) + Skills (34) + Feats (27) + Powers (6) - Drawbacks (00) = 150

Who do we have in the thread? I'll see about getting some kind of action going to help finish off the thread at least. Once I know who and how many are still here, I can get thigns started.

From it sounds, I'm glad I never read the books. It will let me see the movie without worrying about the source material. Heck, I don't even know what the story is all about. I hope it's going to be as cool as the trailers look though. That's all I ask for in a movie these days. Entertain me.

This is the OOC thread for the Lincoln chapter of the Turf Wars story arc. It starts at the Youth center in Lincoln where Chill Out follows a lead.

STAGE ONE The first stage is a test of Mercy's fight ability. You get three attempts to hit each DC listed. You may use any feats to improve your attacks as well as extra effort. Any fatigue resulting from Extra Effort will remain until the end of the stage. You may also spend an HP to affect a roll, however, once spent you will no longer have that HP for the rest of the thread. Part 1 -- Average DEF 10 Part 2 -- Tough DEF 15 Part 3 -- Challenging DEF 20 Part 4 -- Formidable DEF 25

Alan nodded again and wrote down on his clipboard again. "Okay Tasha. I think we have everything we need to begin. Normally, I step out and watch from a private room as we put you through the test. When the light flickers, I'll explain what you are supposed to do and the test will begin. For your first test, I think I want to have front row seat." A side door opens and four men come out dressed in training clothes. All four seem to be of different builds from large to small. What is obvious about the three is that they all move with a grace that only trained fighters tend to have. "Your first test is to show off your offensive capabilities. All you have to do is manage to hit each opponent three times. You'll be given three attempts per opponent so take your time. Once you finish with one, the next will advance. When you have finished all four fights, you'll be given time to rest, not before. Good luck."

Not a problem. that's what us Refs are here for. I have pretty much picked out what your five stages are going ot be like, but is there anything in particular that you wish to have played out?
-
Alan looked down at his clipboard and made some notes on it. "Okay, Tasha. It sounds like you know your way around in a fight. We'll be testing that today. What other abilities do you have access to? The more we know, the better we can test you on them."

Once I get my Turf Wars thread moving (sorry to everyone in that for my slowness. ) I'll get people started on this.

Looking at 3 security checks, all Dcs 25. (3 minutes) After the 3 security checks are passed, Sammy can begin working on finding the information he wants. DC 20 (1 minute) After he gets the files copied, another minute, he has to get out of the system. (2 minutes) Total time, 7minutes.
-
It didn'T take Sammy long to find the room. It was clearly marked and there were very few people here at the moment. 'This is going to be like taking candy from a baby!' Sammy again looked down teh corridor to make sure that no one was in sight to bother him before he opened the door and entered the office. A small computer sat on a desk and Sammy took a moment to make sure that there was no hidden traps around. His eyes roamed around the room, but he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. 'You would think this place would have some kind of security features in place. Man this Albright fella is an idiot.' Sammy took a moment before moving over to the computer. Quickly, he moved the mouse and sat down to examine the system.

The Albright Institute has opened its doors to any powered beings in Freedom City to have their abilities tested. Anyone interested in having their powers tests are asked to venture to Hanover and apply at the Albright Institute. ------------- This will be the location for threads similar to the Claremont Placement Tests and Power Checks for Villains. The tests will consist of 5 stages. Each stage will have four parts set by the Ref. Players are then encouraged to write the results of the various stages. This is a great place to have a character shine or use as a way to explain updates to a character. Anyone interested in participating in one, please post here. When a Ref is free to get a thread started, we'll get you moving. Looking forward to seeing the posts!

"...And that brings us to tonight's main focus. With me, today is Shawn Reed, chairman of operations at The Albright Institue. Mr. Reed, would you be so kind as explaining the recent program begun at the Institute." "Yes, of course. Mr. Albright has always believed that Freedom City's large number of empowered beings could be a danger to the normal citizens of the city if left unchecked. To help the Freedom League, he has decided to open the doors of the Institue as a place where new empowered beings can have their abilities tested in a safe environment. The tests are confidential and the results will be held in the highest confidences." "I see. It seems that the program will have many people opposing it. Some will think that the Albright Insitute will use the information gained to keep track of the people of the city. Won't the practice be considered an invasion of privacy?" "This is true that some will be against the program, afraid that we are trying to take on a Big Brother aspect but I asure you that is not the case. The information gained will be avaiable to either the Freedom League or authorized government agencies. This is of course in agreement with the Privacy Act. We are confident that there are many empowered beings that wish to have their limits safely guaged and simply offer them the opportunity to do so." "Well, thank you for clarifying this. Anyone wishing to partake in the testing should go to the Albright Insitute located in Hanover. Thank you again for coming on our show, Mr. Reed. This is Shannon Williams for News in Perspective."

Okay, got a few threads that need ot be included here. Aug 27th, 2008: Mercy undergoes her own placement tests at Claremont Academy. (Placement Tests - Mercy) Feb 19th, 2008: Arrowhawk's information leads him to a deserted building where the Skinheads have begun preparations for a major offensive. Scarab II, Ignis, and others find their paths drawn to the building as well. Will the heroes manage to intervene before the streets become a battlefield? ([Turf Wars] A Cry for Help)

Natasha looked down at the map in her hand and checked her bearings. The school was larger than she had expected it to be and it seemed that there was a large influx of students that started just around the same time as herself. Today was her chance to show the staff at Claremont just what she could do. Natasha opened the door and entered the large gym. Standing in the middle of the room, a clipboard in his hands, was Alan Archer. He wore a whistle that hung around his neck and his red training pants and white polo shirt marked him as the head physical teacher at the school. "Miss Natasha Porter?" Alan asked as he looked down at the clipboard in his hands. "Let me welcome you to the school and expalin what is about to happen here. All new students must undergo placement tests to get a better understanding of the abilities they posses. This allows us the chance to gauge what is needed to round out your education. Our records indicate that you have received some combat training already. Is this correct?"

This is the OOC thread for Mercy's Placement tests held at Claremont Academy. It takes place on Aug 27th, 2008 after Ignis had finished his tests. Alan Archer will be conducting the tests.
