Gabriek's eyebrow lifted at the comment but he didn'T comment on it. Instead, he asked his own question. "Well, before we begin your tests, I'd like to know how you're adjusting to the life with us? Are the students treating you well? While you're at it, perhaps you could tell me more about your people. We have very little information and it helps to have a better understanding of where you're from."

Welcome to the site, Cyroa! I hope you enjoy your time with us!

Always glad to be of service!

A great read! I hope you enjoyed the Power check. The item you made is yours to keep and use for any other threads you may wish to run. I left it open for Belphegor to have the last word before locking the thread. Just have him leave when you're ready. Again, congratulations!!

When the demon exited teh room, he found the table of refreshments in place along with Legend standing before him. The older gentleman smiled as he saw Belphegor exit with his newly crafted forgery. "Congratulations, Mr. Belphegor. I believe your time has been well spent. You were shown aspects of yourself that will only make you stronger to cause havoc within the city. In time, you may return to further test your abilities, but now you must begin working towards your destiny. The item in your hands as well as the contacts you made during the test, are yours to do as you wish." The door to the outside world opened, letting light filter into the corridor. Legend stood waiting to see if Belphegor had anything to say to him.

Not a problem. Welcome. This idea I dislike. Sitting at home just doesn't sit well with me for what a hero does. Besides, using that type of power to invade people's thoughts doesn'T seem very heroic. This idea works better. I'll fill you in once things are ready. Do you have a preference of either Lincoln or Southside? I'm thinking Southside is the place for you, though. Thanks for the details, but usually, at the start of a thread, I don'T bother with worrying about how the character gets on scene. Either they are already in the area, or the action starts directly on top of them. :D
-
Multiple threads is never a problem. Where would Slamdance be hanging out? Lincoln or Southside.
-
Now that the character has gotten approved, this looks like a good thread. Good luck!
-
Okay, Chill Out is pretty much at teh point to shift towards others jumping in. I'll be starting up a new thread for him soon that deals with the meeting at the Youth center in Lincoln. Anyone else going to be in the area. As for Arrowhawk, he'll be moving over to Southside fairly soon. I've been slow due to the increase in other duties on the site to advance very quickly. Are there anyone here that might be in Southside when he arrives? Drop me a line here.

There looks to be a lot of people interested in joining threads. That's a good sign! However, don't forget that here on the site, any character can start a thread. If you find a few people that are willing to play together, start a thread. Have each other meet and get to know one another. When you're ready for some combat, then PM a Ref to help out. Or you can share the responsibility of running the NPCs. The more active you are, the more fun you're going to have. With that said, there is still the street level threadthat I've started. If you're interested, drop a line there and let me know. Also, keep your eyes open for other stories that refs as well as players will suggest.

As you are writing up the post, you can choose to do it any way you like. However, with that in mind, I'd like to point out that this "thread" is a goo place to justify bumping up areas that you feel are in need of improvement, skills being one such place that is often neglected. If it was me, I'd roll the dice and see where they fall, but you can play it out any way that you wish. Take 20 if the skill allows it. Take 10 if you want. Regardless of the result, it really doesn'T matter if you pass or fail.

I've started watching the Albright Insititue. Looks like it shouldn't be too difficult to get in. It seems they are getting started to open their doors to new supers in an attempt to keep track of the influx of powered beings. I'm not sure if that is going to be a good idea though. Having one central location set up where all kinds of information of a person might not be a very good idea. For that matter, what would they do about security. Just think of what kind of money I would make if I left a little backdoor into their software that would allow me to gain that information. Who would not pay for the information! Naw, too much trouble. Besides, infromation is not my forte. Physical items is much better for me. Quick money is better than the chance of being caught in the act.

Belphegor is again greeted by the refreshment table when he enters the corridor. It doesn't take him long to regain his strength. Just as he feels his strength had fully returned, another door opened. Walking into the room, the demon knew something was different right away. It seemed that four different stations were set up, something very different than the last four room which were mostly bare. At each station, there was a chair and a table. AS he contemplated the rules of this present test, Legend's voice filled the room. "You have shown much of the physical prowess within you, Mr. Belphegor. Now it is time to see what lies in your mind. Only unprepared fools fall to the heroes of Freedom City. Those that trust solely in their brawn quickly find that their most important weapon, their mind, has been wasted. Go to each station. There, your knowledge, creativity, charisma, and observational skills will be tested. Prove that you are more than simple claws and anger."
-
STAGE FIVE This stage will test Belphegor's skills. You may use any one skill from each skill list to beat the listed DCs. You again get 3 chances to complete the task, however, you may use a skill grouping only once. Again, extra effort or an HP can be used at any time. EX. For part 1's DC of 15, you decide to use your Charisma based skills. You decide to use Bluff as you have a +8 on the roll. Charisma is used up and for the next three parts, you must us a different set of skills. Skill list: Knowldege[art, history, streetwise], Charisma [bluff, Gather info], Creativity [Craft, Profession], Observation [Notice] Part 1 -- Tough difficulty DC 15 Part 2 -- Challenging difficulty DC 20 Part 3 -- Formidable difficulty DC 25 Part 4 -- Heroic difficulty DC 30 Part 3 -- DC

Ignis walked into the gym to find it empty except for a man in a wheelchair. Ignis knew him to be Gabriel Marquez, the school's counselor. "Ah, welcome Mr. Koba. I'm sorry that it's taken so long for you to be scheduled for your placement tests, but the school has recently had an influx of new students. It's taken some time to get everyone sorted out." Gabriel looked up at the large figure and smiled. "My, you are a large one, aren't you? This is going to make things difficult if you remain standing. Would you mind sitting on the floor, so that I don't strain my neck? Please, it will only be for a short time as I ask you some questions." Gabriel gestures to the floor in front of him.

This is the OOC thread of Ignis test. The test is broken up into 5 stages that will test out differnt aspects of the character.

AS workers came into the room with the usual refreshments and worked ot clean up after the last test, Alan's voice answered Chris' question. "Well, they're made from all kinds of things. Ms. Harcourt pretty much hands us the materials for the tests. I think she uses these tests to continue her experiments. Don't worry too much about it. You did quite well. It will oonly be a moment longer before you begin the next stage of your tests. Relax" Time flies fast and it is as if only a few minutes had passed before the lights flicker again. "This next test will determine the extent of your agility. If you truely have teh abilities of a gecko, then this should be fairly simple for you. Your task is not difficulty. Just don't get hit."
-
Here is the link to the IC thread. Here is the OOC thread. Happy gaming!

No there is not. For each attempt, everything resets. Please do mention round 1 as that is the round in which you got the Enhyanced saves. Again, you can write it up anyway you like. One post or many.

Changeling looked up at Gordy with wide eyes. "Oh, dance? " she said while looking around the room at the others dancing. "Um, I guess so. But I've got to warn you, I'm not very good."

The Sharp-Dressed Man-Behindthebook-PL6 Villian
MBCE replied to behindthebook's topic in Archived Characters
Okay. Here we go. Mad a formatting change to list the #ranks bought in the Skills area. This helps us for later. Under feat, I put teh Knife infor next to the Equipment line to make things easier for Refs to look at. Also listed the totals in the format we prefer. You do realize that the site is mostly a "Silvery-age" themed game. Try not to go over board with the killing and remember to keep your posts to a respectable level. Approved -
Sorry for the delay. You put a lot into this character and it shows! Great job. It simply took me time to get through everything. Other than that, it looks good. Approved
