Okay, we're at the last stage of the tests. What would like the last test to be? So far, we've tested her Strength, her Blindsense/Notice, her Invisibility/Silence/Stealth, and Skills. Is there anything else you'd like to test her on?
-
With the stage finished, workers came out to remove the various items at hand. As they worked, Gabriel's voice again came over the speakers. "Impressive Ms. Echi. We have just one last stage left to do. Please have a seat and rest as we set up for the final stage."
-
Then we have problems. Increasing your Alternate form is going to cost you five points and give you only 5pps to play with. This means you won't have the Super senses 6 as listed above without changing the Super senses 3 you already have on the character. In either case, you'll still have 1pp left over. What do you want to do?
-
Is this power part of the alertnate form or separate? I just want to be clear before doing the update.

I disagree with your second point on Luck as there are human-level characters without it, but I added it anyway as the first part makes sense. Updated by MBCE

The Boardwalk was deserted. The sudden cold front that had swept into the city had forced the tourists to remain safely inside of their hotel rooms. The usual working girls stood within the alcoves of buildings, trying to keep teh cold wind from their exposed flesh. It was not a night to be out on the streets yet Sammy strolled to the appointed corner without a care in the world. Sammy whistled a short tune as he walked. His hands were buried within his pants pocket in an attempt to kep them warm. His ever present backpack held the strange box again. As he neared the corner, he spotted Lenny smoking a cigarette. "Those things will kill you, Lenny." Lenny looked up at Sammy and tossed the unfinshed bud into the street. "Yeah, that's what my momma told me. Look, it's cold out here and I really don't want to be out here longer than I have to. So can we skip the verbal foreplay and get straight to business." Sammy smiled at Lenny's direct statement. "Fine by me. So what did you find out." "Got some good news and some bad news for ya. First, the good. I found someone who can probablly help you out. There's a guy I know goes by the name of Byron who operates out in Lantern Hill. The bad news is he won't see you unless you do something for him." Sammy frowned as he thought about the situation. "What does he want?" Lenny pulled out an evelope and handed it to Sammy. "He wants you to deliever this to the Millenium Mall before coming through. And before you ask, I have no idea why nor what is inside of it. You have take it inside of the Mall and drop it off in a mailbox inside. Sammy shrugged his shoulders as he took the envelope and placed it in his backpack. "If that's what I got to do, I'll do it. Thanks Lenny. Sammy turned and left Lenny to his own devices.

'I hope that satisfies them. I don'T need to be tied up here any longer. Now if demon boy would simply agree, we can get out of here with at least our lives intact.' Sammy took a moment to calm down. The present situation was still very dangerous as he had little ideas as to who was pulling the strings. It could have been anyone, but most likely it was one person. Only one man would have a woman that spoke with such power. Sammy had tried to avoid any encounters with the Don but this was truely unexpected. How long had the Don been watching the casino and waiting for The Ghost to screw up? For that matter, what did the Don want of him?

The dreams....they're getting worse. I feel myself getting lost. The hunger that drives me has become my only reason to live in the dream. I ignore everything else; money, jewlery, and the few precious art pieces that I pass by. Soemthing is definately wrong. But who do I talk to about the dreams? I can barely believe them so why should anyone else? Besides, it wouldn't look good if word got out that The Ghost was off his rocker. I wouldn'T get anymore jobs and that I just can't let happen. For now, I'll ignore the dreams. They aren't hurting me and I don't feel threaten by them. I feel I'm losing myself in them, but not in a bad way. It was almost like something was trying ot contact me. I'll see Lenny later today so hopefully he's got some good news for me. I sure can use it!

Sammy licked the oil from his fingertips with delight. The car was a wonderful treat but the hunger within was still strong. He moved down the street and turned his appetite loose upon the traffic lights before him. As he dined, he heard the soft murmer of voices just on teh edge of understanding all about. Still, he could not see what was making the noise. After devouring three more lights and two cars, Sammy spied an ATM. He rubbed his hands in glee and went quickly to work ont he poor machine. Money spewed forth falling tot he ground like confetti. He paused in his work to watch the money drift slowly to the ground. The small part of him that was still Sammy Cosentino wanted to reach out for the money, but the creature that he had become had no need for paper. It was the machine that satisfied the hunger within. Only that which moved and could be destroyed with but a touch, gave him any pleasure. Sammy turned away from the falling paper and turned his attention back to the machine. As he worked, he laughed. Back in his room, Sammy's sleeping form laughed in unison with his dreamself.

STAGE FOUR This stage will test her skills. Like the other stages, there are four parts. She must use one of her skill sets to beat the DCs listed. She can use the sets in any order that she wishes but once used, she can no longer use that set. Again, she gets three attempts per part to succeed. The skill sets are as follows: [bluff or Diplomacy] [Acrobatics] [Gather Information] [Knowledge Business] Part 1 -- Tough difficulty DC 15 Part 2 -- Challenging difficulty DC 20 Part 3 -- Formidable difficulty DC 25 Part 4 -- Heroic difficulty DC 30

Gabriel's voice came over the speakers again in response. "These tests are designed to show us not only the strengths of our students, but also the limitations as well. Without knowing the weaknesses of a student, we will not be able to properly assign the classes that are needed. Please take a moment to rest before the next test begins." Again workers come out to remove the sensors. This time, along with the table of refreshments, the workers bring out a small dias. What seems to be gym equipment is also brought out and set up to the side. Another chair is placed opposite the dias to complete the small triangle of items.
-
After a short break, Gabriel's voice comes back on following the signal tone. "This test will determine how far your ability to remain undetected lasts and its limitations. All you must do is simply cross the room four times. Each time a different set of sensors will be activated to attempt to locate you. You may try to cross in any way possible. Again, you have three attempts to cross the room without being detected. Good luck."
-
STAGE THREE This stage will be a test of her ability to remain undetected. She must cross the room while different sensors are in place. She must make roll her stealth score vs the set DCs. She gets three chances per section. Extra effort can be used at any time. she may use her powers at anytime to make it across the room. Again, spending a hero point is acceptable. Part 1 -- Average difficulty DC 10 (Visiual sensors) Part 2 -- Tough difficulty DC 15 (Auditory sensors) Part 3 -- Challenging difficulty DC 20 (Radio sensors) Part 4 -- Formidable difficulty Dc 25 (Tactile sensors)
-
Gabriel's voice comes over the speakers. "For this stage, yes. However we have three more stages to complete. It will take a moment to reconfigure the room though." Mura notes that workers had entered the room and began to remove the speakers that were used in the last test. A table with refreshments was also brought out for her use.
-
The lights flicker again indicating the start of the fourth stage. Eight swimmers are led into the room and they take up position near the starting blocks of the pool. Duncan's voice echoes through the room. "This time, we want to see the extent of your ability to adjust the swimming speeds of others. Two swimmers will be selected at a time. You will increase one person's speed while decreasing the other. You will have three chances to alter their swimming speeds before they race. Good luck."
-
STAGE FOUR This test will deetermine the extent of his ability to boost and Drain items. Targets with various swimming speeds will be placed in the water to race. One, he must boost. The other, he must drain. Make the rolls against the targets' Fortitude saves. Then roll opposed rolls with the adjusted swim speeds. Again, you get three chances per part to affect the swimmers. Part 1 -- Highly gifted Fortitude (+4) Swim speed 0 Part 2 -- Best in the world Fortitude (+6) Swim Speed 5 Part 3 -- Low superhuman Fortitude (+8) Swim Speed 10 Part 4 -- High superhuman fortitude (+10) Swim Speed 15 So, first make two fort saves against the listed numbers. Part 1 would be DC 18 vs 1d20+4. If the roll is lower, then you affect their swim speed. Make opposed swim speed checks, which show the ability changes. The higher result person wins. Repeat for each part. For the retrys, you get three tries on the fortitude saves only. The opposed swim rolls remain.
-
Duncan's voice came over the speakers again. "A very good showing though. Take a break and we'll get ready for the next stage." A worker comes over and helps Warren out of the pool, handing him a towel and points out the refreshment table. Once Warren moves over to the table, the workers begin removing the items and prepare for the next set of tests.

Sammy looked around the deserted street. From the look of the buildings, he figured that he was in Midtown. Though there was no one in sight, he could still feel the presence of others all around him. He smiled in anticipation of the nights activities. Sammy began moving towards a small car and when he reached it, he realized that it was much larger than it should be. The strange siaze difference was quickly forgotten as a hunger began to form in his gut. The more he stared at teh car, the stronger the hunger became. He reached out his hand and touched the vehicle's smooth body and he knew that it would satisfy his hunger. Through his touch, he could feel every portion of the car. Every nut and bolt was exposed to his senses. Saliva dripped unnoticed from his mouth as he focused his attention on the car. Slowly, Sammy ran his hand over the body looking for just the part to begin. He could have easily opened the door but that would not have been fun. No, he had to find a different location to start. Finished with his inspection of the outer shell, Sammy lowered himself to the ground and looked under the vehicle. The underside, unlike the outer body, was black with dirt and oil. This was where he would start. Near the rear axle, oil slowly dripped upon the payment. The sight of which caused the saliva to drip even more from his hungry lips. Sammy quickly slipped under the car and moved directly under the dripping oil. He opened his mouth wide and tasted its sweetness. Ah, a good year to be sure. Sammy reached up towards the drip and watched in glee as the hole widened with very little effort. More oil poured from the car but Sammy didn't stop to drink his fill. Instead, he began to rip out bolts, causing more damage to the car. With each bolt ripped from the car, his hunger subsided for a short moment before flaring up in greater intensity. Soon there was nothing left of the axles or the transmission of the car. A gaping hole exposed the engine to Sammy's hungry eyes. He reached up and began tearing up the heart of the vehicle. As he worked, a wicked smile of pleasure grew upon his face. Sammy tossed and turned in his bed, trapped in the throes of the dream. Sweat beaded on his head and small moans of disgust mixed with pleasure escaped his lips.

Sammy made it home after an uneventful walk around town. He didn't have much planned the day as his computer class wasn't until the next day. Free to roam the city, Sammy decided to grab lunch in Wading Way, very close to the building where he stole the box from. Dinner he spent over in Midtown. Now, it was late and time for some sleep. Sammy placed the strange box back upon the TV and stared at it for a short time. 'There's something about this box that gives me goosebumps. I don't know if it is something I should try to get rid of or simply open. It's just got be my nerves acting up. I've got that test tomorrow and I should get some sleep before I have to be there.' Sammy cleaned up and went to bed. As soon as he had drifted to sleep, the rune covered box opened slightly.....
-
Darn. Lenny couldn't help me out. At least directly. He said give him a few days to see if he could point me to someone that might have a clue about what the box. I hope whomever he finds also has the money to buy it off of me. I really don'T want to lug this thing around with me all over town. Actually, that reminds me. Lately, I've been having nightmares. Well, I can't really call them nightmares as I don't seem to be in them. It's as if I'm someone else and I keep moving around the city. It's hard to expalin but I think I'm out there destroying every machine I can get my hands on. Does that make sense? I have nothing against machines. Heck, they can't detect me which in my line of profession is a very good thing! For some reason though, it felt good. Maybe this town is getting to me.....

Okay, there's the heroes in the shop. I'm looking at the store as having a very simple layout which looks like this. 789 456 123 1:Cash Registers 2: Entrance 3: Media [TVs, steroes, MP3 players] 4: Cameras 5: Cell Phones 6: DVDs 7: Computers 8: Electronic games 9: Software [Computer and console games] Sanctis is presently in the Computer section. Gravity Master is in the Media section whild Druid is in the Phone section. People under Sanctis control are in the Media, Phones, and Games section right now. Keep in mind that Sanctis' mind control is a concentration power as he has it written up which means if he stops concentrating, it breaks the control he has on them. The thralls don't get a save though until one minute has passed. Once the first minute has passed, they get saves based on the Time and value table.
