STAGE THREE In this stage, Leviathan's swimming speed will be tested. He must bet the times listed by rolling a d20+4 vs the bellow DCs. Again, you may use Extra Effort or your HP to make the rolls. You have three chances to make the DCs. Part 1 -- Average difficulty DC 10 Part 2 -- Tough difficulty DC 15 Part 3 -- Challenging difficulty DC 20 Part 3 -- Formidable DC 25

Yeah, the dice goes that way from time to time. Happens that way. It helps that the NPCs rolled fairly badly as well. Hopefully the next stage will be a better test for Leviathan.

Duncan's voice comes back over the speakers as workers come out to clear the area. "A very good showing. However, being cocky isn't very smart. You were lucky that we used actual people for your test of strength. The results might have been different if we used our press machine. We save that for people with strength as their sole ability." The workers removed the wrestling table as well as brought out a chair and refreshments for Warren to partake in. "It will take a moment to set up your next test, so bare with us." As Warren waited, he heard the sound of motors working and the ground shaking slightly. Slowly the floor of the room parted to reveal an olympic sized swimming pool. More workers came out carrying large bundles that they placed all along the edges of the pool. About five of the workers remained at various locations around the pool.

 Actually I was looking for something more simpler. For example: Blast: Ice flies from his outstrecth hands to hit targets. Environment Control: The ground ices up causing people to slow their movement. Obscure: Causes hail and snow to fall, blocking the sight of anyone within the area. Force Field: Chill Out's Skin changes to white as ice when attacks hit him. Snare: Chill Out freezes appendages to surfaces, causing icecles to form along them, trapping them in place. However, the above is very good and does the same thing. I pulled the simple version from the descriptive post you made. Adding either would work to the character sheet.

I think we're all done here. Is this a good spot for this thread to end? Go ahead and put in the last post. After you do, I can lock this baby up. Thanks for having me!

And this would be a flaw/drawback in what way? How often do peopel use diplomacy to get a favorable result? Most people wouldn't. Limiting ranks in Diplomacy only to be used iwth the main feat that uses the skill doesn'T seem much like a limitation to me.

Stephanie smiled at Darian's words. "As you'll be working for me, I can honestly say that we will." She proceeds to give Darian information on when to report to work and what his duties will most likely be before the young man is allowed to leave.

The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish

Foreshadow took the hand and shook it firmly. "I'm sure that we will. Good luck to you in the city. Keep your eyes open as well. I think something big is going down soon but I ahve yet to figure out what it might be. Whatever it is, however, has gotten the gangs in Southside all riled up. The Skinheads have been making some bold moves recently and I'm not sure why yet." Having given the extra information, Foreshadowmoved to the edge of the building away form the sight of the arriving police and disappeared over the side. -
Okay, You'll be going up against Druid and Gravity Master from teh Hero High yearbook. A number of points you'll need to keep in mind though. 1) You need to command those under your mind control with a verballly. 2) As a Concentration effect, it will take a standard action to keep the mind control working. Of course, with a Concentration skill check DC 20, you can mantain the mind control as a Move action. Failure means the effect lapses. You have a few rounds of action before the boys enter the store.

Aeron Gwynn frowned as he got off of the bus. He didn't want to come to Gadgets 'R Us but he had lost the bet with the other students at Claremont Academy and was forced to accompany the often disliked Lawrence Smalls. "Tell me again why we're heading to an electronics story, Lawrence?" Aeron asked his portly comapnion. Lawrence turned back slightly to look at Aeron with a look of weariness at having to explain things to the plant lover. "I told you already. I need some new parts for a design I've been working on. I can get what I need here far cheaper and quicker than any other way. Besides, I won the bet and you have to come with me. Now just come along so we can get this done with." The two boys began moving towards the entrance when the doors opened and a rush of people ran out of the store screaming. From their vantage point, the two teen heros could see numerous people struggling with the security guards inside. Stopping one of the fleeing patrons, the two learn of the sudden craziness occuring within the super store. Aeron's mood changed slightly at the sound of trouble beign present in the store. "Guess we get to go home after all, huh?" Lawrence, however, was determined to stop the maddness. "No way! We're going in there and stopping those people before too much is detroyed." Aeron sighed in response but lead Lawrence behind a nearby tree for them to change into their powered selves. In a moment, Aeron had donned his cape and the personna of Druid while Lawrence had attached his singularity belt to become Gravity Master.

Jack and Karen Webber had come to Freedom's Gadgets 'R Us store to find a new home theater system. They had been married for three years now and Jack had finally convinced his wife to let him buy the system. Together, they were on their way to the TV section when Sanctis' power washed over them. Kevin Jackson, a lawyer for a new and up coming law firm, had come to the store to buy himself a replacement cell phone. The newest models had features that would only increase his effectiveness at work. He was in the Cell phone section when Sanctis' power overcame his will. Sandra Billings, a single mother of three boys, came into the store with her sons to look at the newest gaming consoles for their Christmas present. She really couldn't afford it, but her boys had been doing well at school the past few months and she wasnted to show that money wasn't something they should worry about. Sandra and her three boys were caught within Sanctis' power as they headed to the game section. As if on cue the 20 people that had been within range of Sanctis' power began to pull electronic devices to the ground, stomping on them in their mad rush to fullfill the single command playing in their heads, Destroy Tech. Store clerks not affected by Sanctis' powered attempted to contain those destroying the store's merchandise. Announcements went over the speakers, alerting security to various locations around the store. "We can't handle this! Call in for back up!" one guard yelled to a shocked sales clerk. The call went out and soon police were on their way.

There isn't, but it is one of the points that I'll be bringing up with the other Refs to have added. Just above the stats will work. Tradeoffs: +/- (type/type) Thanks.

This is the wrap up, I think. One last post from you and we can put this to bed.

A long tone goes off signalling the beginning of the test. Gabriel's voice followed closely after teh tone. "If you would pleas step forward, Ms. Echi, we can begin. The machine you have just entered is a large press that will test the boundaries of your strength. The machine will apply pressure from above to force you to your knees. There are four segments and to ensure that luck plays only a small part in the tests, you have three chances to overcome the pressure. Each level will be increasingly difficult. Good luck."
-
STAGE ONE This stage is to check Mura's strength limits. The machine is a press. She stands inside and pressure is used from the machine to take her down to her knees. She has three attmepts to over come each part of the test. Each test represents increasing difficulty. So, against the DCs listed, Mura uses her Str bonus plus her super strength bonus (total +11) to overcome the DCs. She may use extra effort at anytime, but the effects of the extra effort will remain until the next Stage. She may spend an HP at anytime, but once used, she will not have it for the rest of the tests. If she beats the opposed roll DCs, she can advance to the next part. Part 1 -- Gifted strength attempt 1, 2, and 3 (1d20+3=16, 1d20+3=14, 1d20+3=12) Part 2 -- Best in World attempt 1,2, and 3 (1d20+6=26, 1d20+6=9, 1d20+6=23) Part 3 -- Mod. Superhuman attempt 1,2, and 3 (1d20+9=26, 1d20+9=19, 1d20+9=16) Part 4 -- Very High superhuman attempt 1,2, and 3 (1d20+15=22, 1d20+15=20, 1d20+15=25)

Duncan smiled at Darian's words. The headmaster leaned back as he answered his quaestion. "Good to hear that. As for the tution, you'll be paying it off with your work as an assistant. You'll be working with Ms. Harcourt here. As for your classes, each student is assigned classes based on areas that they need to improve as well as challenge the areas to ensure that your speciality areas will improve. You needed worry about the courses, Darian. I'm sure you'll have enjoy your stay with us." Duncan held out his hand to Darian to shake as he stood up. "I'll let you talk to Ms. Harcourt now. There are a number of other details that I must attend to, so if you'd excuse me."

I'll be helping out here, but things are a little busy at the moment. I'll get you started later this week. I wanted to see if you were letting a hero in or not.

Points add up. Now all I have for you to do is give a descriptive writing of how you envision the powers working. When he uses his powers, what can other players and NPCs see?

The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish

Foreshadow quickly leads Arrowhawk away from the building and to the roof of an nearby building. "No such luck on my end. I think the big wig ran when you first showed up. At least this base of operations is out of commission for the time being. They'll have to relocate their business now if they want to continue. And that buys us time to find out who was actually behind this factory." -
Could you please put on your sheet the trade offs you're taking? Thanks.
-
Once you make the above changes :point: that Dr. Archeville has asked you to make, we can look at getting that second look through.
-
Okay, your powers need to be recalculated. Cold control 10 with 4 APS cost 44pps. Force Field (Imprevious) 8 costs 16pps for a total of 60pps. Abilities 26pps + Combat 32pps + Saves 23pps + Skills 12pps + Feats 10pps + Powers 60pps = 163pps So something has to change.

The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish

The man in black nodded his head. "Name's Foreshadow and yes, he did. He wasn't sure you'd manage to pull things out all on your own and I was in the neighborhood looking into some other stuff. Thought I'd come over and see if you needed some help." The man smiled as he said, "And from the looks of things, I think you handled yourself fairly well. Now, if you wouldn't mind following me out of here, I really don't like talking to the police after whopping on some goons." -
Well, I would figure Arrowhawk would have put his ears to the ground and picked up enough rumors of a guy a lot of the lowlifes feared in the area. Enough to put two and two together. Arrowhawk's a smart boy, and almost made it too. :D
