Will there be anything else in this thread? Can it be closed up? Just the monthly clean up.

The Ghost shrugs his shoulders slightly as the owman mentions his identity. He had never really tried to hide who he was once he reached Freedom. Perhaps that was something he needed to change in the future. But first, he had to get out of the mess he found himself in at the moment. "Do a few jobs for you in return for my life? Sure, I can do that. Shows Lady Fortune's watching out for me since you're even talking to me now. Might as well go where the dice lead me." Ghost turns his head slightly in the direction he heard th demon call out from. "I'd suggest you just take the deal, man. We would be dead now if not for their desire to talk to us, and even you can appreciate that stroke of luck."

Are you using a USB connection or a Ps/2 connection? If USB, try switching to a different USB slot. The problem may be in the USB slot itself.

Most likely not. Though he has been in all the casinos at one point or another and would be easily recognizable as the guy that made of fool of the guards in his first appearance to Freedom. I would think not. He didn'T know a job was in teh works when he first came in and he had no intetion of ever robbing any of the casinos in the area.

Stephanie nods her head, "Yes, today is your interview. I was surprised when they told me about it. If you remember, they didn't say anything about earlier when you first arrived." She begins leading Darian through the compound to the meeting room where teh interview was to be held. As they walked, she continued speaking. "I do have a question for you though. If you're main reason for coming to the school was for a job, why did you show up at the airport and get on the bus? Why didn't you simply wait until today to come?"

WEll Happy Birthday to you. May you have another great year and many more to come!!!!

Duncan smiled. "Good. A pretty straight forward answer. Since you do n'T seem to mince words, I'll get right ot the point. To make these tests be as effective as they can, we need to know what you can do. What abilities have you discovered for yourself?" Duncan waits silently for the response, mentally storing away the information.

I'd like to make some edits to The Ghost as well as spend his 4pps. First off, I'd like to change his feat section. Remove Attack Focus 2 [Melee +1, Range +1] and with those two points buy up his BAB from +1 to +2. After the changes, it should look like this: Combat: 8pps BAB: +2 Grapple: +2 BDB: +6 (+1 flat-footed) Knockback: -3, -0 without Force Field Initiative: +1 Feats: 5pp Dodge Bonus 4 Equipment [Lock picking tools, Smoke grenade] Next, I'd like to spend 2pps to increase his Con from 12 (+1) to 14(+2). The increase is due to his recent workout at the Arena. This will change his saves as well. After the changes it should look like this: Stats: 12pps Str: 10 (+0) Dex: 12 (+1) Con: 14 (+2) Int: 14 (+2) Wis: 12 (+1) Cha: 10 (+0) Saves: 8pps Toughness: +7 (+2 without Force Field) Fortitude: +4 (+2 Con, +2) Reflex: +4 (+1 Dex,+3) Will: +4 (+1 Wis, +3) The remaining 2pps I'd like to spend in his skills giving him 8 ranks. 4 ranks go into Computer while 4 ranks go into Knowledge: Technology. This is due to classes he took at H.I.T. in preparation for his job for Maximus Grey. After the changes, his skills should look like this: Skills: 88r=22pp Bluff 4 (+4) Computers 9 (+11) Concentration 3 (+4) Disable Device 12 (+14) K: Art 3 (+5) K: Current events 2 (+4) K: Pop Culture 2 (+4) K: Streetwise 3 (+5) K: Technology 9 (+11) Notice 12 (+13) Search 12 (+14) Sleight of Hand 5 (+6) Stealth 12 (+13) With all these changes, his totals should be as follows: Costs: Abilities (12) + Combat (08) + Saves (08) + Skills (22) + Feats (05) + Powers (54) - Drawbacks (00) = Total Cost 109 Thank you.

The ride to the school was uneventful and Darian saw that the route was much like the one that Floyd took when he brought the others to the school. At the gate, the guards on duty asked for his name and after checking a charter handed him a small identification badge. "Wear this while you're inside. It'll show that you are not a student and are actually here on official business. The other students will leave you alone. When you reach the main building, someone will greet you and lead you to the meeting. I hope you have a pleaseant visit." The car pulled up exactly where Flyod let the other kids off of the bus and standing there waiting was a familiar sight. Stephanie Harcourt smiled as Darian exited the car. "Welcome back Darian. We were wondering where you went off to earlier. You never did show up for a room assignment."
-
The room turned out ot be a large gym. Directly in the center of the gym was a man leaning on a cane. Even from the distance, it was clear to Warren that the man was in fac tthe headmaster of the school, Duncan Summers. Near the headmaster, there was a lone chair. Duncan gestured towards the chair and waited for Warren to seat himself. Duncan silently watched Warren for a while before speaking. "Welcome to the school Warren. I'm glad that you decided to come." Duncan held out his hand for Warren to shake and after the vrief contact, he continued speaking. "You're probably wondering what all this is about. Most of the new students do. Most are actually surprised to see me at their placement tests. How about you, Warren? Are you surpised to see me?"

The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish
MBCE replied to Ecalsneerg's topic in The Boardwalk
The masked man doesn'T wait any longer, unleashing another blast of electrical energy at Arrowhawk but the blast hits a nearby crate instead. The man gives a roar of rage at missing the hero again but holds his ground. -
Glad to be of service. I hate seeing unfinished threads anyway. Only fair that this one gets finished off.

Duncan shook his head and smiled. "No, Gordy. You seem to have misunderstood me. You will be taking special lessons on top of your normal classes that will be tailored to give you exposure to all music types. Don't look at it as extra work, it's all about improving your abilities." Duncna lays a hand on Gordy's shoulder and begins to lead the young man out of the room. "Just think how that knowledge will improve your next test!"

The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish

"Arrowhawk, Smarrowhawk. It don't matter. You'll never get your hands on your bow again." Hrom his higher position, he fires again at the hero but fails to hit its target. The man gives a curse of rage at his failure to hit the already wounded hero. -
The Quicker You Start, The Quicker You'll Finish

The man stepped back from the blow and activated his light pack. As he gained altitude, he aimed his wrist blaster at Arrowhawk. "I grow weary of this. Its time you drop, hero." With his blaster raised, he fired at Arrowhawk, hitting again. He landed on the second floor out of reach of Arrowhawk. -

Arrowhawk's blow was well placed, hitting the man in the face. Unfortunately, the blow was unable to affect him. "Talk. All talk. You already look like you're going to fall flat on your face. Your punches don't even have anything left in them anymore. You're done hero." The man brings his fist around again, connecting once more. "Soon, we'll have everything we need to set our plans in motion and you'll be the first casualty!" -
"Well, when you find this Satori, give him some for me." Kirk says with a bit of false bravado. The rest of the flight goes fairly quickly and Heavy easily drops Kirk at his home.

The Ghost blinked in surprise at finding himself tied and blindfolded. He didn't expect to even be alive after the getting knocked out earlier. The woman's voice was one he had not heard before and he took a moment to gather his wits before speaking. Hmm, they must want something from us. We would be dead otherwise. Lady Fortune has watched out for her man again. The question is, what do they want with us? Did she say Don? This has got to be one of the mob bosses, but which one? "Well, um, want do you need?" Ghost answered with a bit of uncertainty in his voice. "You kind of got us at a disadvantage here, lady. If doing a job for you is goign to help me keep my skin a while longer, no problems."

Um, you do realize that you made teh save, right? YOu are not stunned as the DC was 21 not 31. Arrowhawk is still staggered though and can only take either a move action or a standard action.

Jeff smiled back at Warren as he lead him through the school grounds. "So you're new here, huh?" Jeff was a young boy about thirteen years old. Though he was young, he had already completed his first year at the school. Now, he was given the honor of escorting newbies to their placement tests. The school always tested new students just to see how to help develop their various powers. From the packet that Warren was given when he first came to teh school, he had learend that the placement tests were set up with five different stages. Each stage tested some different aspect of the student's abilities. After the tests were completed, they were given their schedule for the year. Jeff stopped at a door and turned to face Warren again. "Well here we are. Just step in and they'll tell you what you need to do. Don't worry about being perfect. The tests are designed to see where you stand and doing too well will give an inaccurate reading. You don't want that to happen. They'll give you all the advance classes and then you look stupid if you can't keep up. Good luck." Jeff walked back the way he came, leaving the young man alone with his thoughts.

It likes like this is complete. I hope you enjoyed how I played it out. Already got one person looking for a similar thread to play with. I'll wait for you to put in a wrap up post before closing things up though. Great job!!!

Adam Kirk listened to Heavy's words, not sure what to believe and not to. For one, he was still alive--that fact alone said a lot for the armored man carrying him through the air. On the other hand, he did admit to kidnapping him as well as bringing someone to his home. The events of the past few hours was still too much for Kirk to process and this admission or search for forgiveness just added to his confusion. "O...okay. I believe you. You don't kill. The fact that I'm still breathing is proof of that. Just get me home. I want to forget this day as soon as possible." Kirk goes silent for a moment and then as an idea crosses his mind, he speaks up in a worried voice. "You and I are cool, right? You're not going to try kidnapping me again are you?"
