  1. Here is how I did the Drain. As you listed, here: I had the impression of the list of a DC 27 drain that they get a save. After rereading the rules, and your concerns, I see that I was in error. I'll be adjusting things right away. No I do not. The mistake was completely my fault. I rarely use constructs and hadn't taken the time to check over the rules before using them. Anything that helps me run the game better helps a lot. As a construct (i.e no Con) the robot only takes Lethal damage according to the rules.
  2. I have to ask, can you see the map? There is no space between any of the robots. You have to chose a different location. Also, please use the grid cordinates when you want to move. It ensures that I put everyone exactly where they wish to be and there is no misunderstanding.
  3. Ok, that makes sense. So, on your ready action of last round when the thugs came at you, you activated your gravity control. What are you including in your effect? Due to your selective attack extra, you control what is and isn'T effected. Once I know that, I'll adjust the last round.
  4. Hmmm, looking at the write up of your character, you never listed that it is an area attack. You have selective, yes. You have range touch, yes, but no area extra listed. Something that needs to be added to avoid confusion. Now, why would a touch effect work out to 120 foot radius? I have no problems adjusting the last actions of the thugs, but this something I need to know to improve my knowledge of the game. REreading the information again, I see that Gravity control affects a radius (power rank x 5)feet within your range. So it is an area effect. Okay, that explains why you don'T have the area extra. Now, you took the Flaw touch only. Doesn'T that drop the area of the power to touch only as well? Or does the radius remain in effect?
  5. Attack Colton(same building);Attack Colton (next building) DC19+ (1d20+6=24, 1d20+6=16) These were the rolls for Colton. If the roll equals or exceeds your DEF it is a hit.
  6. Sure you can give it a try, but remember the limitations of the ability. You must first bluff it and then the new target must be adjacent to you.
  7. It seems I am the one that was confused. When I see a DEF +X, I considered it the bonus only. I then add the base 10 for it. The second attack was from a charge, not Accurate attack. I'll let the write up stand the way it is this time, and adjust things from now on. Thanks for the heads up.

    The job OOC

Is this thread still on? It's been a few months with no posting and I want to make sure the event thread is up to date.
  10. The Norseman swung his sword but failed to hit his target. Shui quickly and easily dropped his mist upon the southern building from the truck, blocking the skinheads' view of the streets below. Colton Fired a quick shot that dropped the nearby thug before making a very impressive jump to the other building. Icarus strikes an impressive pose that demoralizes one of the red skinned thug. He waits to see what happens next, ready to weight them down if they try to attack him. The thugs react quickly to the presence of the super powered adversaries. The power thug swings at the Norseman but also fails to hit. Another of the powered thugs charges the Norseman, but he also barely fails to hit. The demoralized thug struck out at Icarus. The blow fails to hit and Icarus retaliates by increasing the thug's gravity. The extra weight is more than it can take and it drops to the ground. The action opens Icarus to an attack from the other thug who manages to land a blow upon the metal encased man. The remaining two power thugs quickly run to the truck and together manage to lift the truck up slightly. The four skinheads all fire at Colton. The hero is hit multiple times. Two skinheads fire at Shui and the hero is riddled with bullets.
  11. The Norseman fails to hit his target. Colton manages to drop another thug and leap to the next building. Shui obscures the vision of two thugs. Icarus intimidates a thug. The powered thugs attack Norseman and fail to hit. Two attack Icarus. One is dropped due to the gravity control. It's touch only so he could only effect one of them. The other manages to hit Icarus. [is Icarus DEF the total listed? Only an 18?] Two more powered thugs grab the truck and lift it between them. The four normal thugs fire at Colton. He must make a DC 21 and DC 19 toughness check. Shui is hit by bullets and must also make a DC 21 toughness save. Remember his force field is only at +4 right now. ROUND 8 Heroes are up. I'll try to be quicker with the posting. Last week was a little busy for me. Sorry for the delay.
  12. Sammy smiles widely at Whisper's words. "But with a little luck on our side, we shouldn'T have any problems!" Teh man known as The Ghost takes a drink from the water bottle, his eyes sparkling with delight. 'Now things are going to get interesting!' Aloud, "So, when do we do this? And what time of day? At the height of the night, when there should be more than enough money in the safe to make this worthwhile, or earlier when there are less people watching? Either works for me."
  13. Exile blast hits but is unable to drain any toughness from it. The robot does take a bruise. Ironhide hits his target but fails to damage it in any way. Badb manages to fire her blast but misses her target. Void is skipped due to no post. ROUND FIVE Robots attack back. 1)Exile DEF18 Tough Dc 20;2)Badb DEF 23 TOugh DC20;3)Ironhide DEF 16 Tough DC22(power attack 2) (1d20+10=21, 1d20+10=15, 1d20+8=28) Ironhide has a DC 27 due to the critical.

Exile again strikes out with his blast which hits easily. The corrosive touch of the blast fails to penertrate through the metal hide, but the blow itself wounds it slightly. Ironhide strikes out at the staggered robot and manages to hit it squarely, however, the blow fails to damage the robot any further. Badb shakes the cobwebs from her head and fires at the center robot. Unfortunately, her aim is very off and fails to hit its target. Void, remains in place, studying the battle in her usual silent way. The robots react to the attacks quickly. The first robot strikes out at Exile, easily hitting the mage with its fist. The second robot fires at the distant Badb but fails to hit the agile flier. The last robot, diverts power to its muscles before striking out at Ironhide. The blow is extremely powerful.

    The Ghost

JUNE 2008 The Ghost decides to take in a play in the theater section of Freedom city. A night of culture was way over due for the busy man. Even as he enjoyed the show, Sammy wondered if his talents needed a little refresher. (The events of this thread happen between his first and second jobs.) Ghost having completed his second job by stealing the Aurora Diamond collection, decides that it was high time to improve his working skills. After consulting with Lenny, Ghost heads back to the Arena and there is greeted once more by Legend. Legend leads him to a different section of the oil rig and says he can use the area to train.
  16. Sammy looked at his watch. 5:30pm. He still had about an hour before the play began. For the fifth time already, Sammy checked the ticket in his pocket. The ticket was for the play, The Sparrow, a play he first saw back in his native town of Chicago a few years ago. It was a story of a young high school girl that returned to her rural city after a long absence. The town had experienced a tragic accident where the entire senior class had been killed in a horrible train accident. The young girl was the only survivor and had to return to complete her final year of high school. Sammy placed the ticket carefully back into his pocket and looked about the area. He had never visited this part of town and was very impressed with what he saw. The streets were in very nice condition and the blaring lights and noise of the Boardwalk was missing. Sammy smiled at hearing the silence. 'I didn't know just how bothersome the casinos's noise actually was until today. I would have never thought I would enjoy the silence.' Sammy stretched his arms wide and took a deep breath before heading over to a nearby coffee shop. 'I've got time for a coffe or two. This is going to be a really good night!'
  17. The OOC thread for Ghost's trip to the theater.
  18. Streetwise Check to gain information on Ghost: DC 5 There have been a number of people who took the name before. DC 10 There was a guy by the name of Ghost out in Chicago a few years ago. A pretty competent Breaking and Entering type guy. DC 15 The Ghost is a new player in Freedom City. He's been known to be hired out for jobs. It's rumored that he had something to do with the break in at Delphic Industries. DC 20 The Ghost has a way of never being caught on video, hence the name. The man seems to have an unbelievible level of luck surrounding him which also adds to the name. He seems to slip away just like a ghost.
  19. Sammay waves his hand in a dismissive way, "I won't flinch. I prefer not to take a life simply because it causes the cops to look that much harder for you. In my line of business, it's better not to have the cops following after you for a more serious crime than the one you just pulled off." Sammy smiled broadly and took another drink of water. "Capricia Chill? Man everyone has a power name in this town, don't they? If you get to have one and Whisper here is obviously a working name, I guess I get to use my working name as well. You can call me The Ghost."

    The Yamaguchi Job

The remaining villains react quickly to the presence of the robots even as Badb flys back, stunned by the bullets that riddled her. Exile moves directly behind one of the Robots, but is unable to hit. Ironhide moves around the yacht and delievers a powerful blow that shakes the robot greatly. Sparks sputter from the machine but it remains standing. Void again uses her device and this time attacks from behind the robot. The blow is just enough to shake it into inaction for a short while. The remaining active robot, turns on Exile and fires. Luckily for the mystic, his close proximity to the machine is enough to cause its trageting system to miss.
  22. Badb is stunned and brusied. Exile moves behind the robots, spending a HP, only to miss. Both Void and Ironhide manage to hit their tragets. One robot is Bruised and stunned, while the other is Staggered and Stunned. 1)Void DC 25;2)Ironhide DC 27 (1d20+10=19, 1d20+10=17) ROUND FOUR Only one robot working, turns and misses Exile. Badb can act this round.
  23. Okay, but in the future, please point out in the OOC thread when you switch to an AP. I don'T look at the character sheets at every post so the heads up helps.
  24. Umm, the robots are not minions. You must roll to hit them. I need to see Void's attack roll first before processing the round.
  25. Right now, my plate is full but perhaps you might find some use checking out this thread. The character in it seems to be a demon of some kind (I haven't really looked at the character sheet) so it might be something you would be willing to pick up on.
