OOC for the Yamaguchi job. The following characters are in the thread. Ironhide Ronin Badb Void Exile I'll put up an IC thread in the next day or so.

Sammy smiled warmly when he returned home after his time at the Arena. Though he didn't meet the person that sent out the invitation, he was able to find a group of people to help him rob the diamond collection. Sammy placed his bag on the floor in its usual spot and moved over to the couch. He sat down and his eyes landed on the strange box he stole a few weeks ago. 'That was some strange night. Who would have thought that those guards would have almost killed me. I'm supposed to be The Ghost -- not some common catburglar! They should have never even noticed I was there!' Sammy rubbed the spot where the bullet had penertrated. The wound was already healed, but the feeling of the hit still lingered. He stopped rubbing the spot once he realized that he was again remembering the pain. 'Add to that the pesky gun happy heroes that had popped up after that! One disappears in a swirl of black energy. The other simply gave up after getting hit a few times.' Sammy smiled at the memory. It was rare for him to get into fights, but he felt good that he was able to hold his own against the deadly foe. The thief stood up and moved over to his television. He turned it on and began to flip through the channels. Occasionally, his gaze lifted to the strange box sitting upon the table.

Hmmm, this looks like Ghost's stomping grounds. Perhaps I can have him pop in for some interaction if you don't mind. Let me know.

Yamaguchi smiles at Badb's response. "Good. I'm glad to see you're aboard. Ad for the first portion, I give you a small part of it now. I was unsure as to how many would arrive today to take the job so was not prepared to paid out to everyone. It will be cash. The remaining portion and the second half, will be paid when the job is complete. We can arrange to have it in any form that you wish. I will just need the details." Yamaguchi looks at the others and nods his head. "Now, let me give you the details. In a warehouse in North Bay, my competitor is going to be storing a large shipment of Machine tools from Russia. Of course, it is not the actually machine tools that I want. It is the small hidden boxes within ten of the crates. Each box is about the size of a briefcase with a bar code on top to identify it. All of the bar codes are the same so once you haveo ne, you'll know you have the others as well." "The contents of these boxes are very delicate so please be careful while handling them. My competitor will have a number of his men watching the area so it should be more than enough fun for you to enjoy. However, there is a time limit on the job. Once your presence has been detected, you'll have ten to twenty minutes before he sends reenforcements. Also, there's a chance that a pesky hero or two may be in the area, so watch out. You can have your fun, but the main job is to get me those ten boxes. Any questions?"

Yeah, and just my luck that he got hit with it. Well he's stunned for a while. Should be interesting to see what happens next. :D

The Ghost is amazed at how the guard seeming manages to avoid the falling tree. 'He must have Lady Fortune looking out for him as well!' When the taser flies unerringly towards ghost, he realizes that his thoughts were most likely true. The electric pulse flows through his body. The charge is strong enough to cause the villain to shake uncontrollably. Luckily, his own abilites continued to function even through the stunning attack.

Looks like Ghost and RQ are in the same boat way too much! Glad to see he won't be alone though in moving last. :D

February - April 2008 The Ghost headed to the place called the Arena after learning that it was the place for people of his livelyhood to meet others. An invitation was given to him earlier that week that called for him to meet a number of people at the Arena. Once there, Ghost met Collateral, Dryad, Red Queen, and Imposter. All of them had been given the same invitation which seemed very unlikely to Ghost. However, like most things in his life, Ghost believed in trusting in Lady Fortune. A few days ago, he saw on television of the new display that would arrive at the field museum. The Aurora Diamond Collection was coming to Freedom City. With the help of the four others, Ghost thought that this was just what he needed to get the job done. Ghost explained to the others about the job and they agreed to help each other out if caught in the future. All gains would be split equally between those that participated in the job. Unfortunately, during the job, Red Queen decided to leave and the others simply didn't have much interest in continuing the job which left Ghost to complete it. He reached the dispaly of the diamonds but found that they were also protected by some kind of force field. Not having the proper tools to disable the eletronic device, Ghost turned his powers unto it. By exerting himself, Ghost manages to nullify the field and take the diamonds. Combat outside between his companions and supers that came to investigate, allowed Ghost to leave the building.

Looks interesting, but unfortunately, it seems that I have my five for Yamaguchi's job. Ironhide Ronin Badb Exile Void I'll be setting up the thread in the next few days though. You'll hear the information in the Arena IC thread before WE move to the other thread though. I just want one last check to see who's with the adventure before starting things off.

Yamguchi nodded at Exile when he arrived. "I hope that it won't become a habit." Yamaguchi nodded to Void. "Yes, this is shaping up quite nicely. I'm glad you could make it Void. It should be quite interesting for you." Yamaguchi smiled broadly at Badb and templed his fingertips together before him. "Of course. The merchandise will be guarded. Once it has been brought in the warehouse, my competitor will have his men watching it. Of course," he says as he leans back, "I would hate for you to leave without reducing his work force in anyway possible. The job does not need to be silent. On the contrary, I want it loud. I want my competitor to know that he was hit and hit strongly." "If that is more than enough for you, I can begin discussing the details." Yamaguchi looked at the five before him and waited to hearif they were all in or not before speaking further.

Ghost frowned as he saw the guards' reaction. 'Just my luck for working with others,' he thinks as he notices a large display by one of the guards. The display, a large replica of a Python, wrapped in the branches of a tree. The display was a favorite of the kids to visit the museum since it was fairly open to the public. Though the snake itself was too high to touch, the plastic tree was in easy reach of even the smallest visitors to the musuem. It was one of the first displays put up in the musuem on opening day and had seen thousands of hands reach out and rub its base. Over the years, the constant rubbing had slowly worn down the strength of the tree. When the car crashed into the entrance during a previous robbery attempt, a small crack appeared exactly in the weakened area. Now with The Ghost's ability to warp probability, that crack just could no longer support the weight above it any longer. The weakened portion caved in, sending the large tree towards the nearby guard. It came down so suddenly, that the guard had little time to react before being hit.

Ghost Initiative (1d20+1=9) I'm pretty much just looking for the type of descriptors he can use for his powers. I would assume there are more than enough displays that can fall on people. There are lights I would assume for an electrical descriptor or two. Maybe a fire preventation system for foam or water descriptors. If there are any different types of common descriptors that might be in the area that I can use, that would be great.

Right now, I believe I can handle about four or five players for the Yamaguchi job. So far these are the people that I have approached. Ironhide Ronin Badb Exile has expressed interest in joining. Sugarrush, which character are you willing to pull in for the job?

Monty smiled and shook his head as Grim's words floated back to him. After a moment, he turned to regard teh mess before him. "Well, there went two fine heroes. Glad they're around!" The mechanic started to work on cleaning up the mess.

Well it does make sense....She's a teleporter so why would she need to sneak around like normal follk? The sad thing is that she's as good as Ghost. :cry:

Yamaguchi smiles at Ronin. "Very direct questions. Important ones, but I'd rather get the details of payment out of the way before I give that type of information out. For all I know, you may wish to take the merchandise for yourself. I've got to protect myself as well." Yamaguchi reaches down and slowly removes a breifcase. He places it on the table and opens it for the three to see. "For this job, I can give you each three hundred thousand dollars up front and another three hundred thousand after the job is done." Inside the briefcase are packets of hundred dollar bills.

Yasmaguchi looks at Ironhide. "My competitor has ties to Russia. For the moment that is all I'm willing to say on the matter. For this job, that's all you need to know about my competitor. If you have a fear for getting invovled with Russia, then you may wish to back out now before I give too much details."

WEll, hopefully, when I'm ready to do the next few stages, you'll both be willing to hop back in. I'll be in touch.

That pretty much wraps up this little encounter. I'll be in touch with more on the storyline when I get a few more points in gear. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed running it. Hopefuly I'll get this big old story done fairly quickly. :D

Yamaguchi nods his head slightly at the newcomers before speaking. "He is here to hear a job proposition, just as yourself," he says smoothly without the signs of an accent. "Please sit down, so as not to draw too much attention to our little discussion." Yamguchi waits for the three to sit down before speaking again. "The job is simple. A competitor of mine is importing some merchandise into Freedom city by way of ship into North Bay. The containers are large and I don't want that merchandise to get where it's supposed to be going. If you're willing to do the job, I'd like you to make sure that those containers get to me. I will pay you handsomly for the job, but pricing as well as more detail will come to those that are willing to learn more." Yamacuchi sits back and places his hands on the table for the people presen to see clearly. "If you're still interested, remain. If not, please leave. I can answer a few questions if you need more of a reason to do the job though."

Monty gets up and looks around the garage for anything missing. After a short time of searching through junk, he finally says, "They took the prototype and the plans along with it. If they find someone to make a large scale version of it, then I pray that things don't come this way." The sound of sirens break the silence of the night and Monty looks at the heroes. "You two better get going now. Don't know how the cops are going to take you two being here when they show up. I'll explain things to them." Monty begins to slowly begin to clean things up before the cops get there.

Ghost winces at Red Queen's attempts at silence. 'Man, I see she's used to 'porting everywhere.' Ghost moves as silently as he can, but knows that it only takes noise from one of them to alert the guards. 'Lady Fortune, don't turn your back on my now.' The Ghost stayed as loose as possible, looking around the area to determine what kind of objects he had to work with if things turned ugly.
