In only a few moments, the world had turned upside down. The first guard fired so quickly it was a wonder that Sammy was able to activate his own powers. Sammy staggered backward slightly as the bullet hit. Light swam before his eyes, causing him to lower his defenses. Even as Sammy tried to clear his head, the first guard fired again. This time, Sammy was able to withstand the blow but he wasn't out of the woods yet. The last guard still had a clear shot.

Hmmm. With Nightrival begining his plan started, I thought it would be good to revive this thread. Let's see what the villians can come up with!

Looks like the thread was locked down. Should a new open thread be made? A place where the villians can enjoy a drink or two would make sense. The question really is though, how easy is it to learn about the place? I mean, it's not like it's in downtown Freedom.

It seems I made a few mistakes. The DC is only a 20 for his Damage attack. I have 5 ranks, not 6. Next, the guard had held his action, or Readied, to shot. So his initiative drops to even with Ghost, right? As for the descriptor of his Damage AP, it is simply unlikely accidents. Would it be noticeable as origniating from Ghost that way opr would I still have to buy the subtle feat to make it difficult to notice? To keep things moving, here's the Toughness roll. Toughness DC 18 (1d20+5=10) Ouch! The Ghost is Stunned and Bruised. So the next shot goes off, hitting him again in Rnd 2. Toughness DC 18 (1d20+5-1=23) Shakes off that second shot. Yeah! But the second guard still gets his shot. :(

Hey, I made some adjustments to the thread that put the card into Ghost's hands to better fit your idea of keeping a buffer. I also created this thread for a way to contact the Ghost for jobs.

Sammy picked up the phone and looked again at the number printed neatly on it. It was given to him by Dorian Magnus' man. It had been a few days since that encounter and now, Sammy was ready to try his luck again. He quickly dialed the number and waited for an answer on the other end..... A strange voice, obviously disguised answered. "Who is this?" demanded the voice in an even tone. Sammy was slightly surprised by the strange voice but he was used to dealing with that type of thing in his line of business. "Name's The Ghost. I was told to call this number if I wanted to make some big bucks." Sammy smiled as he gave his nickname. He had gained it in the streets of Chicago after gaining his present abilities. He liked the sound of it and it did sum up his abilities nicely. "Yes, the Ghost," the voice said. "I was informed of your talents. In three days time I will call you back at 1900 hours. Be available." With that said, the signal with dead.

Took a look at Sanctis and thought it would interesting seeing him interact with The Ghost. So, I thought I would pop into your thread here if that was okay. The way Ghost's powers work, he could be pulled into the area. What do you think? Interested?

Satisfied with the results of hsi introduction, the DJ turned the music back up and the spot lights were cut off. Most of the people attending the club went back to their various activites, quickly forgetting the Duncan. A few groupies remained around Duncan long enough for the racer to sign a few autographs before returning to their friends and enjoying the club. 'Duncan sighed as he watched the last groupie move off. 'I'm surprised anyone notice me at all. I was hoping not to give out autographs tonight. Well, can't have it all.' Duncan finished off his drink and moved back to the bar. AS he ordered another drink, a few of the women nearby smiled at him. Duncan politely smiled back but knew it was his fame that had attracted the woman. He turned his back on the woman once he got his drink and looked out on the dance floor again. Duncan ignored the groupies. His eyes searched the dance floor for the sparkle of red that had caught his eye earlier. 'Now where did she go? She didn't come over looking for an autograph. She's got to be out ther somewhere.'

For those interested in hiring the services of the Ghost, please visit this thread. Jobs The first job in Freedom City called for The Ghost to procure a small box with runes written all over it. Entry was surprisingly easy, but that was just the beginning of the job. The second job in Freedom City was one that the Ghost had decided to perform with the help of some villains he met at the Arena, an old oil rig where villains can socialize.
