Casey nodded and smiled. "Your wish is my command!" Keeping a sharp eye out for any low-flying planes or fellow supers, the blonde teen took a somewhat circuitous path towards the three towers; she wanted her passenger to have a memorable flight, after all. Acting as tour guide, she pointed out several major landmarks. "Not sure what's different from your Freedom City, but you can see the Centurion statue over there....the Dutemps Building is the one with the cool castle on top. That's the GBN Tower there, in Parkside. Do they have Liberty Park? I hope so; it's so pretty from up here! Aaaaand here we go!" She dropped down to the roof of Tower 3 with a soft thud, allowing her charge to wander off on her own. "It's so beautiful, isn't it? I'm so glad I get to live here now!"

Grim curtsied and smiled a truly unpleasant smile. "May I have this dance, your grace?" And just like that like, a change came over the dark fae's body; she took a deep breath, dropped into a low crouch, and then let out the most terrifying, blood-curdling roar as she leaped at the Duke, eyes wide, nostrils flared and claws rending the air with their passing. She was more than prepared to just keeping ripping pudgy Belgians apart if they gave her half a chance.

http://orokos.com/roll/343990 Okay, so Grim is going to activate her Rage and just start wreckin' the joint; when she's enraged, the Toughness Save is DC27. Claw Attack: 1d20+12=31 - yikes! EDIT: She will utilize the Takedown feat if it applies.
-
Grim held up her hand and nodded. "Yeah, I can fly at about a hundred miles an hour; twice that if I push it." She held her hand up with her thumb and forefinger indicating a small size, and squinted through the space. "I have to get tiny to do it, but I can carry passengers; I have a workaround. Other than that, I've got some bizzare pixie powers; shapeshifting, stealth, glamour, heightened senses. I'm decent in a fight, but there are better." She shrugged. "That's about it. Oh, I can teleport, but there some restrictions; flying's usually better if I don't know where I'm going first."

Casey quickly looked the man over; other than whatever put him in the wheelchair, she couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. "This is so weird," she said as she checked his vitals. "Whatever it is, his condition is similar; does he have a history of seizures? I'm sorry, how would you know." She looked around helplessly, frustrated by the limits of her first aid training. Was there some sort of psychic attack taking place? Or some kind of nerve agent? Maybe the robots were just a noisy distraction from the real threat, whatever it was. "This man needs a real doctor; whatever is affecting him is beyond my meager abilities. I'm going to check in with the others, and see if they have any other ideas." She flew back to Argonaut, shaking her head as she gently landed beside Miss A. "The other victim was the same, other than already being in a wheelchair; healthy vitals but unconscious and unresponsive. Do you think they're related?"

It's gonna be a bit before I have time to draw up a new character; probably not until the term ends next month. Can you provide a link or two of good background material on the Praetorians? Edit: how about I start with the link in your original post? Need to pay closer attention!
-
I see her as more of a new recruit, to be honest, in part because I haven't followed th Praetorians since some time during Incurrsion, so a newbie would be easier to play.

So here's the original description of the Nameless, the race my telapath belongs to, and here's some later refinement of the concept. I would be playing Ditra Fifty-Five of the Diplo class, sort of like Counselor Troi if she could actually do something. I would probably lose the minor shapeshifting stuff to focus on a combination of telepathy and machine interfacing, which I think would be damn useful in space.
-
I created an alien telepath as an NPC in a 3e campaign I ran a few years ago on another site; maybe I should try porting her over...

Alright, I want to try something with Grim which I think I did once a long time ago. Grim knows from her previous encounter with the Duke that if you drop one of his bodies, he just jumps to another, so she wants to hit all of them at the same time. This means stunting either an Area effect or Burst off of her Create Object, targeting multiple Dukes via her Accurate Hearing. What this looks like in play is Grim closing her eyes, concentrating for a few seconds, and then suddenly creating several smaller heavy objects (say sandbags like you see in old theaters) over the heads of each Duke several feet in the air, only for then to then plummet and bean them all. It probably won't take them all out, but it may drop a few of them; what say you, Tiff?

ic Beautiful People Doing Bad Things (IC)
Heritage replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in The Theatre District
Casey chewed on her lower lip. "Mmm, I hadn't thought of that; okay, we'll just use our other senses, then. Maybe she'll have a different body temperature than humans, or something like that." At the mention of getting ready, the blonde smiled and shook her head. "I forgot you don't know me very well yet, Miss G." She pulled out a stopwatch and held it up. "Let's see if I can do this in...less than three seconds!" She pushed the button, and then there was a blur of motion as Casey whizzed around the room, blowing papers around with her passing. Suddenly she was back clicking the watch again, although now she wore a lovely green dress that matched her eyes, with tasteful makeup and her hair in an elegant French braid. She'd also swapped her usual glasses for a classic wire-framed pair. Overall, the look was classy and stunning. Looking at her time, Casey drew air in between her teeth, then sighed. "Three oh nine; well, that's what I get for taking so long to pick an eyeshadow." She tucked her watch away, then flashed the young Grue a confident smile. "Okay, let's do this!" -
Grim shook the teen's hand firmly and shrugged. "Okay, fine; don't tell me where you got your brimstone blade from. See if I care." Then the big guy in red, white and blue showed up, and the game reset itself and started over again. "Ah, okay! You must be Bastion, the ex-bad guy trying to go straight; how's that working out for you?" She indicated the man in black and white behind her. "As far as your suit goes, that's what me and Kingsnake are trying to figure out. Not sure what Brandy's deal is, we just met."
-
Grim had recognized Kingsnake's smell from Sapporo, but chose to ignore him out of respect; he was a solo act who didn't mind teaming up from time to time, a stealthy detective with senses even sharper than her's, and you don't just blow a guy like that's cover. Sneaker's code and all that. But on the plus side, it meant she didn't jump when he spoke up, which made her feel kinda badass; however, that confidence wilted a bit at the harrowing thought of radiation exposure, and the blood drained from her tiny cheeks. "Kingsnake's right about the headcount, detective; two men, two women. But if he says there's radiation, I say we get the f*** out of here and call for a hazmat team, stat." And with that, she zipped outside as fast as she could, where she came upon some sort of confrontation between Kingsnake and a kid with a burning pigsticker. The kid looked nervous, but she didn't get a villainous vibe off of him; then again, she'd been wrong before... Returning to full size, she dropped between them, holding up both her hands. "Hey, lookie here! We've got ourselves a good ol'-fashioned standoff, just like in the pictures!" Turning to the newcomer, she flashed him a cheerful grin. "What's your name, kid, and where'd you get the lightsaber? I'm Grimalkin, by the way; pleased to meetcha!" She extended a gloved hand in greeting and hoped she was right.

Casey nodded. "Sure, no problem!" Then she paused to choose her words carefully. "So...do you normally fly and you just can't right now, or is that not something you can do?" The tall blonde very gently picked the confused young girl up and began to slowly float up into the air. "Alright Triakosia, where do you want to go first?"
-
Grim decided she was a better host when she was full size, so she flitted over towards Malicula and embiggened herself. "Greetings, countess!" She swept off her hat with a roguish demeanor while adopting Captain Swann's proper accent. "A fancy dress affair just wouldn't be the same without you!" Meanwhile at the bar, Gretchen deftly slipped a silver flask out of her corset and spiked a glass of witches' brew for herself. "Yep, no way I'm getting through this sober..."

Miracle Girl's dad works for AEGIS.

Not sure if Lynn's senses are good enough to detect Kingsnake; if she does detect, she will do her best not to disturb him or alert anyone to his presence. She recalls his rather secretive m.o. from Japan.
-
Grimalkin got on pretty well with the FCPD; she was friendly and flirty and didn't make many demands, and her powers allowed her to investigate a crime scene fairly thoroughly without disturbing it. As always when she arrived at the scene, she checked in with the detectives on duty, making sure to bring them fresh coffee and baked goods from the store, then shrunk down to pixie size to fly inside and have a look, listen and smell around.
-
I for one would love to see Terrifica and Miracle Girl in another thread; they kind of remind me of the Green Arrow/Supergirl/Question team-ups on JLU, which were among my favorites. I even think Casey would benefit a lot from having her as a mentor.
-
"No mere lantern can contain ME!!!" Grim dramatically drew forth a tiny wooden sword, which she whipped about with a dramatic flourish before sliding it back home into her belt. Considering Terrifica's own sword, she sighed and nodded. "Thanks for the heads up about that; actually, you might want to hang onto that in case I ever turn evil again someday." She said it very matter-of-factly, liked it was a normal part of life Gretchen took the other half of the goodies and led Sam over by the bar, where most of the food was being laid out. Looking back at their mutual boss, she sighed. "Well, she's an incorrigible show-off, that's for sure, but not always; sometimes she gets quiet and sad, and you just want to give her a big hug. I like that side of her, too." Then the snarky young barista straightened up suddenly, put down her burdens and tried to change the subject. "I think your costume is cool. It's meta." - - - When Miss Grue arrived at the other end of the bar, Apocalyptic Cowboy Lance was behind it serving drinks of a non-alcoholic nature; he smiled at the young alien and raised his eyebrows expectantly. "What'll it be, little lady?" He looked around, then leaned over the bar and whispered. "I actually have a witches brew that will knock you socks off!" He winked and gave her 'the nod'.

Casey didn't know every super there was, but she knew a good deal about the ones who called Freedom home, or at least the ones who operated more or less in the open; because of this, she was fairly sure that Triakosia should be older than this. Or at least, the Triakosia of her world; several of her comments hinted at an extradimensional origin. "And I'm Miracle Girl; it's nice to meet you." She offered the confused girl a warm smile and firm handshake. "As far as the buildings go, they've been her for years, or at least they've been on this Earth. Do you think you might have slipped through some sort of portal from another Earth?" Casey herself had yet to enter another dimension, but from what her dad said, it was not uncommon.
