Grimalkin There was a strange hiss, and suddenly everyone became aware of a striking figure who hadn't been there a moment ago, the fae heroine Grimalkin made up as the wide-eyed Bride of Frankenstein, lightning bolt Nefertiti hair and all! Her head jerked this way and that like a frightened bird until a she grabbed a flute of champagne from the tray of a passing waiter, and raised it in salute with a wide smile. "To Theda Bara!" After draining it in one gulp, she moved much more gracefully, the Bride's newborn stiffness shifting easily into her own relaxed gait. Spotting the somewhat out of place Ghost, she sidled up to him with a grin. "Well if it isn't our friendly neighborhood specter! Are you a horror movie fan, Mr. Ghost?"

This feels like it's going to be a series of interconnected but separate threads. Right now I'm leaning toward one set in the Caledonian Express to Scotland, where Lulu's mother's side of the family comes from, one involving a chance to visit Veronica in Paris, a trip up to the Baltic that might involve Eira and Little Mermaid and maybe one for just Adam and Lulu by themselves having a romantic evening, possibly in Italy.

Very cool. I am very interested in the Night Riviera train that travels from London to Penzance, so that might get involved in some way.

Do only Americans consider the UK to be part of Europe? Are we the sole group of dummies, cuz I guess we usually are.
-
One thing I would really love is European GMs who might be willing to run a thread in their homeland? It would certainly add an element of verisimilitude, and might give you a chance to show off a lesser known aspect of your culture. Just a suggestion, of course!

Ooh, yes!

Very excited to see interested in this concept! Also wanted to include a link to the travel channel that has really increased my interest in train travel and partly inspired this idea. https://youtube.com/c/DylansTravelReports

Hi guys! Just running an idea up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes it. I had this idea that Lulu would like to take a skip year after graduating from Claremont to take a little bit of time to explore the world and maybe figure out what she wants to do with herself before starting college in 2022. Would any other Claremont grads be interested in doing this? I don't know if it would be one-shot adventure or a series or what. One idea that occurs to me is maybe seeing Europe via train? And no, this has nothing to do with my obsessively watching trade videos during the pandemic ? Just want to see if anyone else is interested ?

Any more movement on this? Sorry I haven't been about.

I am volunteering Lulu for this; not as one of the great thinkers or planners, but as someone who can lift 12 tons with her mind. Also I enjoy seeing characters trying new things ?

I have also requested the appropriate edit. Survival check: 1d20+9=29

Her timing couldn't have been better: wearing a shimmering dress and looking like a vision, redheaded Lulu approached Adam just as Pan was finishing his rendition of a very appropriate Disney classic. "Hey there, hon!" She smiled, and it was both silly and utterly sincere; after a long day of grueling work, she finally got to see her guy. She did a little twirl and curtsy to go with the overall princess theme. "Miss me?"
-
Lulu smiled and shook her head. "You're right; we need to enjoy these moments when we get 'em" She offered Veronica the crook of her arm, amused by the juxtaposition their entrance would provide. "Shall we?" Normally she would extend her mental presence outwards to Adam, to let her him know of her arrival; it was a bit like a gentle touch on the shoulder to say 'hey'. But tonight was a surprise, and she wanted to see the look on her boyfriend's face when she strode into the room, dressed to the nines.

"Giiiirl, you said a mouthful!" Unlike her friend Davyd, Lulu had grown up around fast cars and irresponsible drivers. She'd learned how to steer and change gears on her daddy's lap, and NASCAR posters where frequently on the walls of the Beaumonts' crappy, flood-prone home. Though she was very capable of handling her navigator duties, she was definitely prone to fits of giggles as the speed or a particularly exciting hop forced the glee out of her body. In addition to her standard DI team gear, Lulu also wore oversized polarized sunglasses that obscured half her face. The redhead cackled wildly as she quoted Fury Road. "'Witness me! Witness me!'"

Our car is probably a lot quieter than this, but there's some good footage here of a mini Cooper in the desert.

Is it cheating to use ESP to navigate?

Inside one of the stalls, Lulu clucked her tongue as her her jumpsuit was casually draped over door. "It's more about senior year in general, know what ah mean? Everythin's goin' so darn fast, it's hard to keep up! College applications, entrance exams, sendin' out letters. Mah whole is *spinnin'* most of the time." In no time at all, the redhead stepped out in a pink and silver sheath dress that looked like pure magic. She stepped over to the mirror to touch up her hair and makeup, shaking her head and sighing. "Ah just wonder if we can make it work after graduation."
