So what I want to do is have Ana tell Sei to not worry about her, to go and help the rest of the crew defend the ship; she will then wait fir her to leave the engineering area, and seal the doorway after her with a thick ice wall. I think this will require her to ready an action until after Sei leaves, thereby shifting Ana's place initiative order. Does that make sense?

Grimalkin nodded in greeting to Triakosia, then turned to raise a finger towards Net Fly. "Hey, not to rain on your parade, but don't get too cocky; we have no idea what these aliens can do. I understand it's good to get out into the action, but this will be much more unpredictable than any simulation." She shrugged. "For starters, we've never worked together before, which always throws in a few twists." The changeling began to pace around the mystics, her eyes darting between their immobile charges and the cloud above. "How do we feel about erecting some sort of protective structure around our brain trust here? Maybe even multiple rings of defense?"

Up, Up, and Away'd by HG Morrison Okay, long overdue edits for MG, including her December PP! 3PP going towards skills (+3 Bluff, +5 Intimidation, +4 Notice) 1PP goes to her Utility Belt 2PP for Super-Senses, adding Infravision and a rank of Microscopic Vision 2PP to add a rank in Flight, and therefore increasing her Quickness AP by 2 ranks 1PP for Feature: Mimicry. This is an odd one, but we've seen Wonder Woman uses it several times in the 70s show, and Superman has used it from time to time in the DCAU. I'm putting it down to 'Precise Vocal Control', and it fits the sort of 'modern girl with Silver Age powers' vibe I'm going with for Casey. I also added a complication about her huge appetite and her Super-Breath attack in the DC Block; I think it should go in the Combat section, too, but I'm not sure how to write that up. Also gave her an older brother, because I think that might be fun to play with in the future.

Based on what KD discussed above, Grim would be my choice for this sort of thing. She has enough money to afford it, she can leave the store in Kiki's hands for a while and take a semester off of school. Plus her powers make her very self-sufficient and she can speak any language, and if it's actually books we're looking for, she has a natural in!

Color me intrigued! Grim is good at skullduggery, or maybe a good launching point for new or returning characters.

Casey nodded as she flew. "Yeah, I definitely need something! Nothing too compplIcated, though; I dont want it to be super-flashy." When Samaritan suddenly ran ahead, the blonde flier rolled her eyes. "Typical boy; alright, let's give him some back-up." She dropped down to street level, coasting a few feet above the pavement. "Also if we need it, I have a ranged attack...thing." Whatever It was, the subject appeared to be mildly embarrasing to Casey.

Casey shrugged. "Fine by me; let me gain some altitude and have a look 'round." Gently picking up any volunteers, the athletic blonde rose up into the rain-streaked sky and trained her keen eyes towards the river; she squinted a few times as water ran into her eyes then laughed. "Hmm! Well, seeing as visibility is basically zero, maybe we should fly in for a closer look?" And with that, she arced up into the air, heading for Lincoln.

Casey was quiet as she listened to both Errant and Sakurako talk about the insides of their heads, frowning slightly; by comparison, she guessed the inside of hers was a fairly tranquil place. Unlike her, it didn't sound like Errant particularly enjoyed his powers, and she felt a sharp twinge of sympathy for the boy. "Well for the record, I don't believe in lost causes; I think there's hope for everyone." She shrugged and started to return to her seat. "I'm a pretty good listener, and I'm not all that complicated; let me know if you ever want to talk."

Between Lynn's hug and Toni's reassuring words, Maddy began to uncurl out of her fetal position. "Okay. Okay. I mean I do live in Freedom City, so it's not like I should be so shocked, right? Lots of super people have normal jobs..." She even managed a smile as she attempted to put on a brave face. "Uh, so Lynn, what...what do you do?" The shop owner shrugged, for some reason suddenly embarrassed. "Oh, y'know, different stuff; magic, flying, turning invisible-" The changeling stopped herself and smacked her forehead. "That's where your friend went, the old fade-out; she might even still be in the store. I might know someone who can find her..." She speed-dialed Tona with the phone still in her hand. Meanwhile, Maddy was just staring at her boss. "You can do magic...?"

'Meg' rolled her eyes, which required no acting whatsoever; adjusting her bag on her shoulder, she leaned over to the boy and hoarsely whispered. "Do you mind? I'm supposed to show Li around the city, and I don't think you want her dad, the Chinese ambassador, pissed off at you." She looked over both shoulders, then dropped her voice even lower. "Back in China, they call him the 'Iron Dragon of Death'". She made a frightened face, and then adopted a fake cheerful tone of voice. "C'mon, Li, let's have a look around!" She started to lead Terrifica towards the stacks.

God, how long had it been since Grim was part of team-up? Literally a lifetime ago due to her time in Colt's World! Peeking out of her backpack, the sensation of speed was much higher to her at her reduced size, and as she felt the acceleration press down on her diaphram and the wind rush past hrr face, the tiny heroine began to giggle like a maniac. And you could totally tell Fast-Forward was a dad. In reponse to Queenie's question, the wee pixie shouted a reply. "I agree, though technically improv is what I do best! If we do need to make fortifications, I'm your girl! By the way, you smell delicious!"

Okay, as long as one of us did well on the Notice check, I will hold onto that HP; clearly Casey was thrown off by Captain Creeper!

Ana screamed in agony as the foul creatures ripped right through her armor, but what was worse than the pain was the realization that if she died before completing the repairs, she'd effectively doomed every living thing onboard. No, not like this! I don't have time to die right now! With tremendous willpower, she shut her eyes and visualized all the antibodies frozen solid; there was an anguished cry, and then an explosion of cold shot outwards from her body, stabbing into the abominations on all sides. The effort left her winded but far from out of the fight.

Okay, right now looking to to the following: 1. Spend an HP to shake of the effect of Daze. 2. Use Extra Effort to stunt Blast 9 (Extras: Burst Area 2, Penetrating 6, PF: Selective). Is that doable? Edit: Burst is centered on Ana, blasting outward.

Is she actually dazed or stunned due to failing by more than 10? There's a big difference in terms of options.
