They are Minions (I prefer the term 'Mooks', meself) so yes, you can take 10; let's see how Stubbles does on his Toughness save: 1d20+1=18 Not bad, Stubbles, but not good enough! He is now Bruised, so -1 on future Toughness saves! Now he gets the chance to retaliate. Attack: 1d20+1=14 I doubt that hits you, but if it does that's a DC 17 Toughness save (14 Strength) Let me know if that connects, and then I will post.

Okay, let's have some Initiative rolls! Ponytail: 1d20+2=17 Stubbles: 1d20+2=17 Hmm! They both have the same roll and same Dex, so we'll do high roll on a d20 to resolve it. Ponytail! 1d20=11 Stubbles! 1d20=17 So first Stubbles, then Ponytail. Roll for Noemi, Cape!
-
GM Ponytail smiled the biggest s###-eating grin as his eyes freely roamed over the Rat's toned body, and he took a step closer as his body became more visibly relaxed. "Well y'know if it was up to me, hey sure; swim, float, dive, whatever you want. But the boss, see, he likes his privacy..." Meanwhile Stubbles narrowed his eyes and reached up to his ear, a gesture familiar to anyone who's ever watched an action movie; he was about to use a comm!
-
Here we go! Ponytail's Untrained Bluff roll: 1d20+1=4 What a maroon! Stubbles: Sense Motive roll: 1d20+5=14 Uh-oh!
-
Deep Freeze will go if her boss Starshot goes.
-
Could you give me a Bluff roll please? I'll do their opposed checks afterwards, And make sure to add your Attractive bonus!

GM Two very large men in suits entered the pool; they looked very uncomfortable in the boxy suit. One had his head shaved down to stubble, while the other had a bad Steven Segal ponytail. They paused for a second at the sight of the lovely redhead, and looked at each other with mild surprise. Once she broke the surface, Ponytail stepped close to the edge of the pool and kneeled down; he looked mildly annoyed, but was trying to hide it. "Uh, miss? You're gonna have to clear the pool area; you can come back in about an hour. Sorry for the, uh-" He was momentarily distracted by her beauty. "Inconvenience." He smiled, though it was creeping towards a leer, emphasis on 'creep'.

GM The Randhurst, Parkside. Thursday, September 4th 2014. 10:33 pm The condo was a tower thirty stories high, with an attached mall, restaurants and a health club; it was sheathed in blue glass and every unit had a balcony that looked out over the north end of Liberty Park. Deliveries came to a loading dock at the rear, shared by the commercial and residential sides of the complex. An underground parking garage provided two spaces for every unit, truly a luxury in such a built-up section of the city. Dragomirov's unit was on the twenty-eighth floor, at the northeastern-most corner of the tower; it was served by a high-speed express elevator dedicated to the building's wealthiest tenants, and could only be called with a special magnetic keycard. The building had excellent security, but the Black Dragon's unit was custom made and cost a small fortune. He also employed a small army of private security personnel, two of which who were with him at all times. The hit was scheduled for 11pm, which coincided with Dragomirov's nightly swim in the health club's Olympic-sized swimming pool; the pool was cleared of all other residents at this time every night, per his security detail's request. The stage was set; now it was time for the actors to arrive.

Alright, I missed that bit on your page, seeing as it's 20 miles long The second roll works fine, so she's got the full +3. Let me know once you put it in play!

Grim was thoughtfully stroking her lower lip as the cook translated the notebook, as well as going over a few things the two Dukes she'd had to deal with had said. "I think this whole thing, at its root, was an immortality scheme; I keep making new bodies for myself and transfer my mind into them so I never have to die. But then he found out he could transfer his mind between each body at will, and he became intrigued by the possibilities." The graceful heroine carefully tiptoed through the cables to get a closer look at the sarcophagus. "Maybe he makes the new bodies in this thing? Anyways, one of my Dukes admitted he lured you here to steal your...I dunno, 'speed energy', and for that I feel bad, Vel; if I hadn't recommended you, you and your...Robert wouldn't be here." She sighed and shook her head. "He said he's been doing this for over a hundred years, which might explain the Mary Shelly vibe to this lab equipment. It's not time travel, it's kind of the opposite, really; Time is finally catching up with him, and he's scared s###less." She turned to look right at the speedster, a concerned frown on her face. "You might actually have to leave, Vel, if you're what's powering him now."

Sure, but I probably won't be able to post again until; tomorrow, as I'm spending the night at my buddy's place.

Lots of work still needs to be done, mostly fluff and complications, but I figured I'd put up what I've done so far.

Player Name: Heritage Character Name: Miracle Girl Power Level: 8 (120/120PP) Tradeoffs: +2 Toughness/-2 Defense, -1 Damage/+1 Attack Unspent PP: 0 In Brief: Super-strong teen with the gift of flight. Alternate Identity: Casey Blankenship Identity: Secret Birthplace: Colorado Springs, CO Occupation: Student Affiliations: Claremont Academy Family: Margaret Blankenship (mother), Col. Steve Blankenship (father) Description: Age: 16 (DoB: December 27, 1997) Gender: Female Height: 5'7" Weight: 142 lbs. Eyes: Green Hair: Honey-blonde Casey is a good-looking, athletic young woman with green eyes and long blonde hair. In her civilian identity, she typically wears her hair up and out of the way, and favors cotton or flannel shirts, loose-cut jeans and light hiking boots year round. An oversize shoulder bag made from natural hemp holds her whole life, including her MG costume. Casey still wears her old glasses, even though she no longer needs them; she feels they help to maintain her 'ordinary girl' cover, plus she just really likes the way they look on her! Casey's bio-energetic field is always active, but it is usually barely visible to the naked eye, manifesting as more of a healthy glow to her skin and golden luster to her hair. However if she uses her powers for more challenging tasks, the glow becomes far more visible and radiant. When she's active as Miracle Girl, Casey loses the glasses and lets her hair down, which tends to billow around her face when she flies, and she literally glows; yes, she knows it's a bit much, but it actually helps her maintain her secret identity! History: Casey's family lives in Colorado Springs not far from Peterson Air Force Base, and until recently she attended Air Academy High School. She's been an active Girl Scout since she was little, and she recently earned her Gold Award for building a wooden foot bridge at a National Park near her home. Up until recently, Casey only knew her dad as US Air Force Colonel Steve Blankenship; she had no idea that her father actually worked for AEGIS as Vigilant ('America's First Line of Defense!') and would probably have never found out, due to concerns over national security. Casey has been around aircraft her entire life; her father began taking her up in his Cessna before she could ride a bike. It was during a weekend training flight that a biazzare accident occurred; a summer storm suddenly came upon the tiny aircraft, which was was struck by lightening as Casey hurried to get back to the airfield. The bolt passed right through both her and her father, somehow transferring some of his powers to her. After the incident, Casey was taken to a secure location where it was explained who her father was and how important it was that his identity be kept a secret, and she swore an oath that she would. When it was discovered she now shared some of her father's gifts, AEGIS contacted Duncan Summers and asked if he could accept a new student. Personality & Motivation: Casey is thoughtful and introspective, sometimes bordering on introverted; she makes friends easily enough, but she prefers a small circle of good friends to a large one filled with casual acquaintances. She loves the romantic notion of being a newspaper reporter like her grandfather who worked for the Miami Herald for thirty years, even though she knows in modern times it means less and less. Casey tries to tell the truth at all times, but understands that a secret identity does require the occasional 'white lie', as much as it pains her. Outside of journalism, her interests include almost any sort of outdoor activity (hiking, camping, skiing and white-water rafting are among her favorites), as well as reading, playing board games and shopping with friends. Casey has also loved aviation since she was a little girl, something her pilot father instilled in her; even though she can now fly under her own power, achieving her student pilot certificate is still one of her proudest achievements. As Miracle Girl, she's a bit more outgoing and confident when she's 'in character', as she finds her super persona to be very liberating; sometimes she's surprised when she hears herself chastising bad guys or easily working with emergency personnel. Powers & Tactics: Casey has just recently gotten her powers, and so is still working on her tactics; so far, Miracle Girl is a fairly straightforward fighter, primarily relying on her impressive strength and speed to get the job done. She can take a lot of punishment, so she's happy to draw fire away from less physical heroes or to protect innocents. Her super-breath offers her a good option to take out a lot of mooks at one time, and her keen eyesight and ability to monitor emergency frequencies give a heads up when danger is near. Miracle Girl's body isn't actually any stronger, faster or tougher than any normal humans; a strange golden bio-energy field, channeled through Casey's own brain, allows her to accomplish these feats. Psionic energy is capable of disrupting that field, meaning Casey is more vulnerable to mental attacks. Complications: "Yeah, he's my dad..." - Casey's father is Col. Steve Blankenship, aka Vigilant, 'America's First Line of Defense'. It's not quite as cool as it sounds. "I know he just wants me to be safe." If any of Vigilant's enemy's figure out who Casey is, they might try to get to him through her. "No, I really am a Girl Scout." Scouting has been a major part of Casey's life since she was five years old; she takes her pledge to the Scouts and their values very seriously. "There might be a story here." Casey is both naturally curious and has a reporter's instincts; if she thinks there's a wrong that needs to come to light, she will do everything in her power to expose it. GM The most recent email contained the name 'Arkady Ilyich Dragomirov' and an upscale address in Parkside, a modern high-rise with a view of the park. The date was September 4th, three days hence, and judging from The Man's response, he'd already accepted the assignment. Slave did a quick net search for Dragomirov and found he was ex-Spetsnaz GRU and currently under investigation by both the FBI and the FPD's Major Crimes Unit; the 'Black Dragon', as he was sometimes called, was linked to all kinds of nastiness, but he also was very rich and had excellent lawyers. Two very dangerous men would soon be meeting each other...

Grim's whole body ached; not as badly as if she'd actually been hit by the car, but more like a sudden and massive hangover or a twenty-four hour flu bug. She'd be fine in a few minutes, but she really didn't want to have to move. After about a minute, the changeling quickly poked her head out, looked around and just as quickly withdrew it; satisfied, she gingerly climbed out of the hole, chucked her crossbow back into it, and was about to close it again when she remembered this Duke still had one. As gently as she could, she reached inside to fetch it, then tossed the second one in after the first and finally closed the Vault shut. Jeez, the guy must buy in bulk! What to do with this sleepy-headed a-hole? She dropped down on all fours and scampered around the Rolls, carefully puncturing each tire with a razor-sharp thumb claw; she was sorely tempted to claw up his paint job, but that would be an act of pure spite, whereas the tires stunt was at least nominally strategic. Then she slowly made her way towards the castle, still holding a hand over her injured left shoulder, and pointed at the nearest servant who didn't appear to be paralyzed with fear. <"You, come with me; we need to stop this madness once and for all."> Soon she reappeared in cellar followed by the servant, having conjured up a sling for her left arm. "Hi, sorry we took so long; me and His Douchy-ness were out playing 'Dukes of Hazzard' on the front lawn. Fun times!" She turned back to the native Dutch speaker. <"Please, we really need your helping translating the Duke's notes.">

Okay, so I'm rolling 1d20+16? That might not be so bad, then. 1d20+16=35 Okay, so she probably won't take any actual damage, but I reserve the right to say it still hurts for dramatical purposes.

Holy S###! Grim only had a moment to react as the massive Rolls came flying her way; her first thought was to run or fly out the back, but then her quicksilver mind came up with something different. In a flash she traced a circle on the grass with a finger and dropped down into the Vault, mere seconds before the huge white sedan plowed right through her little hunter's shack and flew right over her head, the rush of its passing sending dirt, grass and splinters down into the small trans-dimensional bower all over her head and shoulders. The pain....was excruciating.

GM Slave was able to crack the computer with relative ease, but the inside was rather surprising. Most people's computers are cluttered with all kinds of digital detritus; mp3s, family photos, funny downloads, spam emails and all the other junk that clog up the world's hard drives. The Man's was Spartan, much like his rented home (the Rat's X-ray vision had verified his statement of the night before was indeed true), with only a handful of files and almost no software. It was a Linux-based system with only a web browser loaded, not even a word processor or spreadsheet. The Man must have purged his files on a regular basis, but a few emails were still present, under an account somewhat hilariously marked 'sexxxyblondegril'; no one would link that face with that handle! The emails were very short, consisting of times, dates and locations, and usually a few image attachments: a face, the front of building, a Google Maps screenshot. At the bottom were always number, followed by either a 'K' or an 'M', such as '400K' or '3.5M'; it soon became clear that these were references to currency of some sort, and that The Man was both very busy and very, very rich. He never negotiated, and his response, which were always sent to 'samoanstalion57', consisted of only two words: either 'received' or 'done'.

It's not a super-high tech computer, so that should work fine.

Okay, Grim is surging and spending the HP to avoid fatigue; I think she has all the actions to do all this stuff, but I may be wrong. If so, let me know so I can edit. 1. Standard action to Create Object (hunting blind); I'm going for total cover, if possible. 2. Move action to retrieve something out of Dimensional Pocket. 3. Free action to talk. 4. Second move action for ESP. If I can't cock the crossbow, let me know.
