Who would Grim fight, assuming she joined up, and would she get to use her full powers? Because I could see her wanting to strut her stuff full out, since her last public fight still leaves a bad taste in her mouth :x

Oh dear God, what have I done? Lenya took the MP3 player and held it tightly in her hands, stunned by the boy's offering. "You are most kind, Eddie; I will write you often." I will what? The beautiful young Russian girl dug into her backpack and pulled out her notebook and a pen, while the mind inside was racing like a thoroughbred. What are you doing, this is crazy, this is bad... "Here, write me email, or do you have the Facebook? I could set up page for writing to you; I have only Russian page now." She smiled and held out the pen. "It would be nice to have American friend to write to, about so many things." Don't take the pen, don't take the pen...

Okay, I think this version of Red Queen is ready for her close-up: Character Name: Red Queen Power Level: 11 (175/175pp) Tradeoffs: Defense -4/Toughness +4 Unspent PPs: 0 Alternate Identity: Faye Spenser Height: 5’ 10†Weight: 138 lbs Hair: Reddish-brown Eyes: Black Description: Faye is an attractive woman of athletic build in her mid-twenties, who wears her hair short in the front and in a long single braid down her back. She favors jackets and slacks of a professional masculine cut, though her extensive wardrobe features a wide range of styles, including some lovely dresses. History: Faye Spenser is a user, and has been all her life: the only child of a moderately wealthy Dublin banker, she long ago learned how to pester and wheedle until she got exactly what she wanted. She’s also always been interested in things that are forbidden, be it the local bad boy, street drugs or the occult, and pursued all of the above fervently. Several years ago she met an experienced magus in a London pub; they proceeded to have a torrid love affair that lasted almost two years, during which she was a most avid pupil of the magical arts. After she learned all she could from him, she stole several of his darker texts and went into seclusion to study them in detail. In an abandoned Yorkshire farmhouse, she opened a portal to a nameless dimension, home to many mad gods long thought dead; she made horrible pacts with these gods, offering herself as their servant on Earth, their tool for spreading chaos and despair. In exchange for her service, they taught her the darkest of magicks, which she has used in a very effective criminal career. Now a sorceress of great power, she travels the world freely, committing remarkable thefts and quiet assassinations for the highest bidder; she only dates men who have something to teach her, and she has dated mercenaries, safecrackers and terrorists in her pursuit of knowledge. Using her ill-gotten gains, she had an underground bunker constructed under the Icelandic Highlands, which she chose for both its splendid isolation and access to free geothermal power; she paid the contractors well, and after allowing them a week to enjoy the fruits of their labors, she hunted them down and killed them to a man, the regrettable cost of preserving her secrets. She detests trains and airplanes (she finds them far too cramped), but thankfully never has to use them. When she’s not working, she loves to tour the world’s art galleries; her Icelandic bunker is decorated with a wide array of paintings, etchings and sculptures, all of course stolen, and she has impeccable taste. Oh man, why'd he have to hug me? Now I'm gonna tear up. The pretty Russian girl smiled and shook her head, wiping her eyes. "No, is not stalking, Eddie; I am wanting to say good-bye." She looked down at her hands, her face slightly flushed as she tightly gripped the strap of her backpack. "There was phone call to Mr Summers, from my Uncle Vanya in Tambov. There are troubles for my family, and I must go back to home." She looked up, clearly upset; how much of this was acting and how much was an honest mixture of shame and sadness, Grimalkin could not really say. With her glamour up and running full tilt, her sorrow hit like bag of wet sand to the gut. "I am so sorry, Eddie; I had hopes of making more new friends here, and learning so much. You and all your friends did much to make me welcome, and I will miss that." She laughed as she wiped her nose. "It was a very special snowfight, and I will think of it many times." I'm about to lose it. Suddenly Lenya leaned forward, kissed Eddie on the cheek, and stumbled away towards the main gate.

Just a reminder that Grim has been using her Enhanced Charisma as Lenya; when a Charisma 30 girl cries, it's like seeing a lost puppy out in the rain :P
-
Ok, I'm pretty sure I need help with the DC block :D
-
After; I placed it at February 8th after consulting with other players. It took me about 5 hours one day to straighten out Grim's timeline, haven't had a chance to incorporate all of that stuff into the main timeline.

Hurray! For the record, look at my batting average on this thread; un-freakin-believable!

Ah, I was so hoping to do it without a die roll, because I knew this was going to happen  Untrained Bluff check: 1d20+7=8 shoots self

Per your comment in chat, I'm fine with ending it here. :)

The convoluted entrance procedure combined with the utter seriousness of Agent Powers somehow made Gossamer think of the opening credits to Get Smart, and much to her horror she foud she could not get the theme song out of her head. The fact that the city was actually in grave danger only made it worse, and the blonde heroine found herself holding back innappropriate laughter, a golden lasso wrapped tighly across her mouth. Must not laugh, must not laugh... At last the giddiness passed and she was able to focus. "Sir, I know it's an obvious question, but do we have any idea what those things are or where they came from?"
-
These poor kids... Carefully replacing everything in its original place, 'Lenya' slipped back under the door and out into the hall; she knew she had to leave now, but something within her heart would not allow that. I need to say good-bye, offer some sort of lame-ass explantation to someone. Of all the Claremeont kids she felt the most connection to Breakdown; he was the kind of boy she might have dated back in high school if she hadn't ran away, and seemed sweet and nice. After asking a few fellow students about Eddie's schedule, she waited outside his classroom door for him to come out.

As he talked, Gossamer very slowly sent a single tendril of hair down her back, hidden behind her leg, and sent it along the edge of the baseboard, as slowly as she could; while this was going on she held her hands in front of her in a non-threatening manner. "Fine, you're getting what you want; tell me, exactly what shape is the good doctor going to be in when you're through with him? Will he be cognizant, a vegetable, or will the process actually kill him?" She finally got the limb in place behind the ringleader and made a quick grab for his leg, but at the last second she realized her angle was wrong and the tentacle missed him by mere inches.

Okay, so to help Geezer with Dynamo's debut, I dug out my old PC-turned-NPC villainess Red Queen. I looked her over and saw she could use some work, and as a villainess NPC was no longer limited byt the pp I earned for her. I still need to do her DC stat block at the bottom, but I wanted to make sure everything else looked okay first. if all looks good, I will subkit the code version to the Char edit thread. Character Name: Red Queen Power Level: 11 (175/175pp) Tradeoffs: Defense -4/Toughness +4 Unspent PPs: 0 Alternate Identity: Faye Spenser Height: 5’ 10†Weight: 138 lbs Hair: Reddish-brown Eyes: Black Description: Faye is an attractive woman of athletic build in her mid-twenties, who wears her hair short in the front and in a long single braid down her back. Okay, I need to put this thread to bed; let's do this thing!
-
Due to the somewhat traumatic nature of her last bout, Grim may well take a pass on this, but Gossamer would be very interested. I still might have Grim participate if we somehow split it into two or more threads, though, since I don't like the thought of having both my PCs in the same thread.

I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate Invisible Castle, and clearly it hates me. I am so buying Lucky 2 for Gossamer next month, because frickin' hero points make the world go 'round. Edit: Ok, so I'm not sure what to post IC. She sneaks the tendril past him, but she misses; does this mean she can leave it lying there unseen and try again next round?

Oh, The Weather Outside is Frightful (IC)
Heritage replied to Heritage's topic in Grenville and Ashton
Lynn laughed and covered her mouth with both hands. "Oh that's right! Have you even seen a fish before?" She creates two brightly-painted wooden fish, a clownfish and a blue tang. "You remember these guys, right? I forced you to watch it like three times." She started to wave them around in the air while singing, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..." Setting the props aside, she sighed and fell back into Colt's lap. "Okay, so guns and fishing it is." She peered up upside down at her man, blissfully happy. "See, this is what makes us work: we both understand the importance of compromise." And then she resumed playing with her little fish. -
Sorry, I realized after I posted the above that it's not fair me asking if he fails the Notice check before deciding if she's going to hit him, so here is the to hit roll; if I miss, well then we see what happens next. To Hit: 1d20+10=15 I have a feeling this does miss :(

To say that Estelle was stunned by Atlas' transformation would be an act of criminal understatement; her eyes wet wide, her jaw hung open, and all she could do was blurt out a very Keanu-like, "Whoa." Then she shook her head, not unlike a Looney Tunes character, when he assumed the shape of 'Roid Freak Jack. "I cannot...I...wow. You are truly gifted, sir." And then with a devilish smile, she added in Russian, <"We must plan a dinner date sometime soon; your newfound powers require...extensive study, and I would really like to help with that."> "Blast!" Gossamer quickly moved to the alien pilot's side. "What can I do to help? I feel particularly useless right now!"

Okay, gonna try and have Gossamer sneak a hair tendril around the baseboard and grab him from behind. Untrained Stealth check: 1d20+3=9 Whoopie  Reroll Stealth check with HP: 1d20+3+10=25 Hmm, can you let me know if he fails that before I move on to the Attack and Grapple rolls?

Slowly and painfully Gossamer rose from the ground, pushed limply to her feet by coils of her own hair as she shook her head and gingerly checked herself for permanent injures. "Ah, more or less alright; utterly furious and looking to throw this Havok through a wall, but I'll live." The blonde heroine hobbled over to the rest of the group, held up by a set of golden spider-like legs. "Does anyone require immediate medical attention?"
