Gossamer is another possible candidate; she's got Wealth 1 and some good connections.

Can someone send my the cod for my old NPC Red Queen? Looks like we might be dusting her off for use in a thread, and she's got 4 unspent I'd like to put to good use, unless she can't use them. Even if she can't, I'd like to clean up her sheet a bit. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN

While Kris and Jack swapped tales of ancient Japanese martial arts and demonic taint, Grim added an obscene amount of sugar and half-and-half to her coffee, rendering it undrinkable to the average human. The tiny shapeshifter stirred her coffee and scowled as her voice went all gravelly. "Ninjas; the lowest form of scum. A blight on the land, parasites in black pajamas killing babies in their cribs." She brighted and raised her cup a' joe in salute. "Good to have you back, Kris!" She took a sip, then gave Colt a thumbs up. "Mmm, love it love it love it! So, now that you're back, with all your hard to pronounce powers and skills (which is totally cool, I'm sure we can really use that kinda stuff), how do we know your ass is not gonna bail on us again?" Her tone started out light, but all of a sudden a bit of edge creeped into it as she stared over the lip of her cup as she took another sip. "I'm serious, Kris; we had no idea where you went, no way to contact you...for all we knew, you could have been dead, man. And that's not how a good team operates."

So I've got a wiki page started for Grim, and you'll all notice at the bottom is a timeline of all her threads, which took about five hours to put together. I'm putting a link up here so folks can see (assuming they have the time and inclination) if any of the dates conflict in any way with any other existing threads. I went over the main timeline closely, hunted down obscure threads I'd completely forgotten about, and when no dates were listed did a little detective work to find the best spots to slip threads in; you'll see that many have no specific dates at this point, especially during her first year when that sort of thing wasn't being closely monitored. Anywho, it's all there for folks to see; enjoy!

Damn it, we need to drop these guys now. Zipping down towards the fish monster's waist, Grim hovered for a second right behind the thing's right knee. "This is gonna get nasty." Suddenly she switches from her tiny pixie to her full-sized human form, but instead uses her glamour to obscure her form. Now crouched down behind her foe, the changeling viciously rips her claws into the meat of the beast's calf, tearing a ghastly wound into its clammy flesh.

To hit with claws: 1d20+12=15  Blowing yet another HP for a reroll (story of my life) 1d20+12+10=26. Okay, I thought all the monsters were giants, but it's just the Titans, and Geez says the 15 hits, so saving that HP for later! So Sneak Attack with Claws, DC 25 Toughness save.

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]

Grim conjured up a two baggies and a bag of tweezers, which she used to remove some tissue samples from two of the bodies, one with a tat and without; it was the most disgusting thing she's ever done in her life, but she used her anger at their deaths to insulate her feeling a bit. Dismissing the tweezers, she tucked the baggies into a convinient fold in her costume, then proceded to replace the contents of the poor kids' pockets so the cops could find them in the right place. Then she dialed up her police contact on the phone. "Yeah hi, is this Reena? Yeah, it's Grim; we got something very ansty for your department to have a look at. Teenaged zombies; looks like maybe a zombie powder ring or something. What? No, no one got bit, but we had to, uh...y'know, take 'em down. Yeah. Yeah, it's real nasty. Let me know if you need me to stop by and make a statement. Here, you got a pen, I'll give you the address..." Once the call was over, she snapped the phone shut and laid a hand on Colt's arm. "You ready, hon? The boys in blue are on thier way." She indicated Jack with a nod. "Let's see if he's ready to roll." -
Ok, here's the idea I had. Grim basically flies down by the big guy's calf in pixie form, reverts to her normal-sized self but invisble via Blending, and then sort of drops down the guy's calf, claws out, to hamstring him all the way down, hopefully getting full Sneak Attack benefit. Is this doable or just plain crazy?

Toughness saves: 1d20+12=17, 1d20+12=27 Edit: Reroll on first Toughness save: 1d20+12+10=24

"7 Will stand and fire on Gossamer: 1d20+10=27, 1d20+10=24, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=17, 1d20+10=26, 1d20+10=15, 1d20+10=16 3 hits DC 29(Phalanx will intercept; no damage), DC28, and DC29." So exacly how many Toughness saves do I need to make and at what DC?

Wincing in pain, Gossamer decided right then and there that she really didn't like being shot at, but the fact that a former student was willing to to take a hit for her inspired her bounce back as fast as she could. She laid an appreciative hand on the young man's shoulder and stepped back into the fray, sending angry golden whips slashing through the air. But in truth she was still a bit new at these sort of battles, and the swirling papers, mysterious inky black cloud and general chaos robbed her of her focus, and she failed to make any signifcant contact with the enemy. Blast! Time to change tactics.

Okay, so a complete and total miss! Good to know. Will never, ever do that again.
-
Ok, we'll see if this works; Gossamer wants to take down the other six mooks focusing in on her. She will try Takedown Attack one more time, but this time combining it with Power Attack and die roll (crosses fingers) To hit: 1d20+5=10 Yeah... Oh well, at least the DC save is 30 now. can I get some idea of how effective that would be before I post?

Seeing her boyfriend was in need of some sugar, Lynn literally crawled up Colt to give him a kiss. "Mmm, good morning, handsome." Then she mussed up his hair, dropped back down to ground level, and wrapped her arms around him, tucking her head under his shoulder. The tiny shapeshifter snorted and waved her hand dismissively. "Oh, please; with that boy's personality, I'm glad if we gave him a free show, just so he remembers what all the parts are for." Lynn was glad to see Jack made it through the night okay (she knew the guy could take on the whole Crime Syndicate by himself, but she still worried when he went out solo), but was even happier to see there were no hard feeling on any side. The young brunette's eyes nearly popped out of her head when Kris took off his shirt; she was much more interested in his finely-toned abs than any of his scars or some mystical whoozit. "Uh, yeah, I'm reading you loud and clear over here, Kris; y'know, I'm so glad you were able to maintain your rigorous workout schedule while you were, y'know, away and all..." She turned to Colt and poked him a few times in the chest, eyes still glazed over. "Coffee...now...please...?"

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [OOC]

Uh, Grim would personally want to call the cops in and let them do their thing, because a) the more people working on a case like this, the better, and since she's started working with Colby a bit, she's more aware of not stepping on too many toes when it comes to the FCPD. We can always take some tissue and drug samples and leave the rest. She would of course inform them of our part in this (i.e we did all the shooting). Of course, we can always quickly sort this out IC; I also assume we came in the MAVERIC. -
Hah, I got the exact same roll! What are the odds? 1d20+12=18 - I still get to add 10 to it, right, for a total of 28?
-
Gossamer will be spending an HP to reduce the effect of the hit. Notice check: 1d20+6=11. Oh well, at least someone saw it :)
-
Gossamer's Toughness saves (remember, Impervious 8!) 1d20+12=21, 1d20+12=18, 1d20+12=28

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [OOC]
Heritage replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
Agreed. -
Still lying in bed, Grim rolled over into the warm zone vacated by Colt, then blearily raised her head. "Hon, is that you?" Her pointed ears twitched this way and that as she picked out two voices, one of which she hadn't heard in quite some time. "Wing...?" :? With some effort, she crawled out of bed; due to her resistance to cold, leaving a nice cozy bed wasn't as traumatic for her as it was for some people, but waking up from sound sleep still made her a bit ornery. She summoned a navy blue robe out of the air to cover her t-shirt and sleepy pants and padded downstairs. Her nostrils twitched as she entered the kitchen, a warm grin spreading across her face. "Yep, that's the smell of Kris alright." She held her arms wide and began to move in, but then frowned and stopped herself. "Wait, I forget; do we do huggsies?" Then she shrugged and gave him a good crushing hug anyway. "God, I haven't seen you in forever, dude! Where the hell have you been?"

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [OOC]

I would think Det. Colby would be a good start. -
Suddenly there was a noise, like a flapping of wings all round them, and then... "Oh my god..." Colt, Jack and Grim were inside the MAVERIC, at the same intersection they'd arrived at on that fateful day last November, the day the sky turned to blood and ash; across the street, a twisted eight story building stood, its many windows shattered as flames licked up its sides. Part of the street was blocked off with trashed cars, forming a sort of holding pen. Everywhere there were shadows, some human-sized, some much larger, flickering in and out of sight, as though a broken film projector was showing some old half-remembered horror film, and terrified screams hung in the air, slipping away whenever you turned your head to find their source. The feeling of hopelessness they'd all experienced at some point that day was here again, too, but fainter, a mere echo of its awful power. Suddenly the CB radio in the truck came to life, and Colby's voice buzzed over it. "Are you all there? Are you all together?"

[Interceptors] Zombie Powder is a Helluva Drug [IC]

Grim stared out the window at Jack's impassive back, then ground her eyes with the heel of her hand, extremely disappointed in herself. That was wrong; I don't have a little sister. Just because I'm pissed is no excuse to play that card. "Hmm? Yeah, sure, okay." She fetches out her cellphone and take starts taking pictures of the tattoos, as well as all the kid's IDs. "We can also see if any of these kids have rap sheets or listed as missing persons." She leans closer to peer at the pics on her phone. "Okay, these look like crap." She sighs and hands Colt the phone. "Honey, can you take the pictures? You're good with technology and stuff."
